Abstract

Disclosed is a fuel system. The fuel system includes a chamber 12 for storing a fuel, an optical differential pressure sensor 14, and one or more processors 22 in communication with the optical differential pressure sensor 14. The optical differential pressure sensor 14 is fluidically connected to the chamber and is configured to, when the fuel is stored in the chamber, output a signal indicative of a pressure difference in the optical differential pressure sensor to the one or more processors. Also claimed is an aircraft fuel system and an aircraft which includes the fuel system. The optical differential pressure sensor may include a diaphragm.
