1. An arrangement to display light and shade images, comprises:a panel;a first image generating means comprising a first light source and a first set of light-obstructing-plates, with said plates mounted on said panel and facing said first light source; anda second image generating means comprising a second light source and a second set of light-obstructing-plates, with said plates mounted on said panel and facing said second light source, and such thatsaid two image generating means are orientated in mutually-transparent orientation with respect to each other, and able to sequentially display two independent light and shade images on said panel, when said image generating means are sequentially activated one at a time; andsaid light-obstructing-plates of image generating means are made of a semMight-permeable material to regulate the value of shade of the corresponding pixel.

2. An arrangement according to claim 1 wherein at least one of said light* obstructing-plates is modified in dimension or form to further regulate the value of the shade of the corresponding pixel by regulating the percentage of shade area it casts.

3. An arrangement according to claim 2 wherein the semi-light-permeable material of at least one of said light-obstructing-plates, is coloured.

4. An arrangement according to claim 1, claim 2 or claim 3, wherein said two light sources are represented by a single light source, and the process of switching on and off, of said light sources is realised by moving said single light source from a first position designated to said first light source to a second position designated to said second light source.
