Rf emitter grouping

Abstract

Method, apparatus and systems are described that are configured to obtain RF signals, wherein the RF signals are transmitted by each of a plurality of RF emitters, process the obtained RF signals using a trained RF emitter profiling model, and group the obtained RF signals into one or more groups, wherein the RF signals within each group are deemed to originate from the same RF emitter. The process preferably involving determining position or distance information for the RF emitters and providing the position or distance information to other nodes in the system. The system preferably tracking the positioning of one or more of the emitters over time. The processing of the RF signals preferably involving generating an RF fingerprint for the emitters and grouping the signals based on the fingerprints. The first node is preferably a remote node of a system comprising plural remote nodes and a central node. The RF signals preferably being received by a satellite based receiver. [Figure 20]
