Apparatus for capturing views from ground level

Abstract

A photographic support apparatus comprising an elongate body 50. A display mount 40 is positioned at a first end of the body, whilst a bracket 64 supports an imaging device mount 60 at a second end. Two angular positioning devices 54 and 56 enable the bracket and display mount to be rotated. A controller 44 operates an imaging device. The rod may be telescoping. The angular pivot apparatuses may be operated by a twist lock switch. The controller may be configured to control the angular position of the imaging device mount. The positioning apparatus may be a gimbal. It may also take the form of multiple servomotors with intersecting axes. The bracket may be an L-bracket. The display mount may have a magnetic portion, or comprise a spring-loaded phone clamp. The controller may be non-integrally stored in a housing. The controller may also be able to wirelessly connect to an imaging device; with wired connections should wireless communications fail. The controller may be integral with the digital display.
