Abstract

This invention relates to a machine for forming plastic products through an integrated gas-fueled extruder and modular molding system within the field of thermoplastic material processing engineering. The machine consists of a hopper, an extruder screw, a barrel, a gas-fueled heating system, a nozzle, a molten plastic channel, a modular molding, a mold holder, an electric motor, a gearbox, and a machine frame. The plastic raw material is fed into the hopper and then pushed by the screw to the barrel to be melted using a gas heating system. The molten plastic is then flowed directly through the nozzle to the modular molding unit without passing through a reservoir so that heat loss can be minimized and the material temperature stability is maintained. The modular molding system allows for rapid mold changeover without changing the main construction of the machine so that one machine can be used to produce various types of plastic products. This invention provides increased energy efficiency, reduced operational costs, simplified production processes, increased productivity, and improved print quality compared to conventional production systems that use several separate machines.
