Abstract

This item is a hinge opening and closing aid that aims to assist the function of hinges that have structural limitations in their range of motion, such as gates used in net fences. By attaching this item to a similar gate, the opening and closing range is expanded, making it possible to free the gate from both pushing and pulling. The crank-shaped axles, which are also a key part of the design of this item, are each independent revolute pairs (joints), and when combined with the gate and gatepost, this item itself turns into a driven link, forming a transmission mechanism (link mechanism) that moves with the opening and closing of the gate. In other words, by adding a link to a hinge that normally has only one revolute pair, relative movement is obtained, making it a gate with a mechanism that is free to open and close in any direction. Therefore, this item, which removes the limitations of the opening and closing range, eliminates human error in judging whether to open or close in unexpected situations, and is effective in ensuring a quick evacuation route. This item also has magnets built in, and the links that attach and detach using the magnetic force of the magnets provide a pseudo-feel when locking and unlocking, and help ensure that the door is securely locked.
