Vibration dampers

Abstract

This article is a vibration isolator designed to prevent vibrations from being transmitted from one object to another. As shown in the reference explanatory diagram showing the names of each part in use, this article consists of a lower plate and an upper plate arranged to sandwich a coil spring and a viscoelastic member. The lower plate is attached to the object with fasteners such as screws, and the upper plate is attached to another object with bolts, thereby reducing the transmission of vibrations generated in the object. The lower plate is provided with guide claws and crimping claws for attaching the coil spring. The part for which design registration is sought is a portion of the coil spring and portions of the lower and upper plates that support the coil spring and viscoelastic member, and as these are the parts that support the coil spring and viscoelastic member from above and below, they have functional integrity.
