Abstract
This product is a press-in head attached to a core attachment tool for pressing in a stainless steel contact core for corrosion protection of the inner peripheral surface of a borehole in a cast iron pipe for water supply, etc. This product has an integrated structure consisting of, in order from the tip side in the pressing direction of the stainless steel contact core, a rounded tapered head tip, a head shaft part having a step part with a cylindrical tip side shaft part and a rear end side shaft part having a larger diameter than the tip side shaft part, a tool flange part having a larger diameter than the rear end side shaft part, and a screw-type attachment part attached to the core attachment tool. When the attachment part is attached to the core attachment tool, this product becomes coaxial with the drive shaft member of the core attachment tool, and in this state, the stainless steel contact core inserted into this product can be held. The head tip part is made into a rounded tapered shape so that, in a cross section along the axial direction of this product, it has a continuous curved surface without any corners between it and the cylindrical tip side shaft part of the head shaft part. The stainless steel contact core with a small inner diameter is inserted in such a manner that the tip portions of the multiple stainless steel lip members arranged in the circumferential direction overlap with the head tip portion of the present product, as illustrated in the reference diagram showing the first use state and the names of each part. When attached to the present product, the inner tube member with a small inner diameter of the stainless steel contact core abuts against the step portion located inside it, and is held coaxially with the present product so as not to fall off. The stainless steel contact core with a large inner diameter can be inserted until it abuts against the tool flange portion of the present product, as illustrated in the reference diagram showing the second use state and the names of each part. When attached to the present product, the tip side shaft portion of the head tip portion is exposed on the tip side of the multiple lip members of the stainless steel contact core, and is held coaxially with the present product so as not to fall off. Although stainless steel contact cores with the same nominal diameter have different inner diameters of the inner tube member, the present product can be held so as not to fall off regardless of the size of the inner diameter. For this reason, in the present product, a core holding bolt or the like for preventing the stainless steel contact core attached to the press-in head from falling off is not required. The head tip of this product does not need to have a bolt hole for the shaft core for a core retaining bolt or the like, and can be formed in a rounded, tapered shape with no corners. The head tip is a continuous curved surface with no corners between it and the cylindrical tip shaft, so that even if the stainless steel core is inserted into the article from a direction oblique to the axial direction of the head shaft, the inner surface of the stainless steel core and the surface of the article are unlikely to rub strongly locally. When the stainless steel core is attached to the product, the inner surface of the stainless steel core is unlikely to be damaged, and the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel core itself is unlikely to deteriorate. The product is attached to a core attachment tool that is attached to a saddle branch faucet that is installed on a cast iron pipe, etc., and is coaxial with the drilling hole together with the driving shaft member of the attachment tool. The product is driven in the press-in direction together with the driving shaft member toward the drilling hole opened in the cast iron pipe, etc., by operating the core attachment tool. The stainless steel cohesive core attached to this product is inserted into the borehole while maintaining a concentric position with the borehole, regardless of the size of the inner diameter of the inner tube member, and the multiple lip members of the stainless steel cohesive core can smoothly enter the inside of the borehole together with the outer skin member without hitting the surrounding parts of the borehole in the cast iron pipe, etc. When this product is further driven in the pressing direction by the core attachment tool, the inner tube member of the stainless steel cohesive core is pushed by the tool flange of this product, regardless of the size of the inner diameter of the inner tube member, and is pressed into the inside of the multiple lip members inserted in the borehole, etc., and the tips of the multiple lip members are pushed outward. The stainless steel cohesive core is attached to the borehole opened in the cast iron pipe, etc., in a state of being in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the borehole. The outer cover member made of nitrile rubber, butyl rubber, etc., which covers the outer periphery of the stainless steel tight core effectively seals the gap between the stainless steel tight core, which is pressed into the drilled hole without tilting, and the inner periphery of the drilled hole in the cast iron pipe, etc., improving the adhesion of the stainless steel tight core to the cast iron pipe, etc. In this product, the front end shaft portion, rear end shaft portion, the step portion between them, and the tool flange portion of the head shaft portion are precisely formed relative to the shaft of this product under the integral structure of this product, so that a uniform force acts on the entire circumference of the inner cylindrical member of the stainless steel tight core when it is pressed in.The inner cylindrical member of the stainless steel cohesive core is pressed into the inside of the multiple lip members while maintaining a coaxial position with this product, with a uniform force acting on the entire circumference, regardless of the size of the inner diameter of the inner cylindrical member. The inner cylindrical member of the stainless steel cohesive core is unlikely to be pressed into a state tilted with respect to the axial direction of the borehole. The stainless steel cohesive core attached to a borehole, etc. by this product is pressed into the borehole while maintaining a coaxial position with the borehole, regardless of the size of the inner diameter of the inner cylindrical member, and can cover the entire inner peripheral surface of the borehole well, and can exhibit high corrosion prevention performance by attaching the stainless steel cohesive core to the borehole, etc.
