Electric fusion joint

Abstract

The electric fusion joint according to the design is a 45-degree elbow-type pipe joint made of synthetic resin. A socket is formed at each end of the curved pipe section to receive the pipe end of another pipe member. Each socket is formed as an electric fusion joint (EF joint section), and an electric heating wire is embedded in its inner surface. The protrusions on the upper surface of the tip of each socket are terminal sections connected to the electric heating wire. The small protrusions on the inside of each terminal section are indicators to show that the inner surface of the socket and the outer surface of the other pipe member have been fused. A half-split clamp section is connected to the tip of the socket. Furthermore, a pedestal section is formed on the bottom surface of the curved pipe section.
