Oral appliances

Abstract

This article is an oral appliance to be worn on the front surface of the gums of the upper jaw. The lower side in the height direction of the main body, which is curved in the thickness direction and whose back surface abuts against the gums when worn, has a recess with an arc-shaped periphery and multiple protrusions with sharp tips provided between adjacent recesses. The protrusions are placed on the interdental papilla when the oral appliance is worn. In addition, the upper side in the height direction of the main body has a recess provided in the center to avoid the frenulum of the upper lip, and a protrusion provided near the end. When the oral appliance is worn, the protrusions are inserted between the upper jaw and upper lip to prevent the oral appliance from shifting position or falling off.
