Abstract

This article is a bed that is installed in a crew cabin of a ship and is configured to be switchable between a triple-tier bed form and a double-tier bed form. As shown in the reference perspective view illustrating each part in the triple-tier bed form and the reference perspective view illustrating each part in the double-tier bed form, the bed of this article includes a first platform, a second platform, and a third platform on which a mattress is installed, a frame member including support legs supporting the four corners of each platform, an exterior cover supported by the frame member and surrounding each platform, a first drawer storage section and a second drawer storage section arranged side by side below the first platform, and a ladder section. In the triple-tier bed form, the first platform, the second platform, and the third platform are arranged at intervals in the height direction of the support legs to create three spaces, and in the double-tier bed form, the second platform and the third platform are arranged at intervals in the height direction of the support legs to create two spaces when the second platform is brought close to the first platform. As shown in the reference photographs showing the triple-bunk bed configuration and the double-bunk bed configuration, this item is designed to be compact overall so that it can be installed in a designated area of ​​the passenger compartment, and it is also designed to be switchable between a triple-bunk bed configuration and a double-bunk bed configuration, making effective use of limited space.
