Packaging containers

Abstract

The present article is a paper packaging container formed from paperboard, corrugated cardboard, or the like. As shown in the "top perspective view" and "bottom perspective view," the packaging container includes a container body and a flange plate fixed to the upper part of the container body. The container body has four side panels and four corner panels that are alternately erected on the periphery of an octagonal bottom panel. A pair of adhesive strips is continuously attached to both ends of each corner panel. Each pair of adhesive strips is attached to the outer surface of the side panel adjacent to both sides of the corner panel, thereby holding the four side panels and the four corner panels in an octagonal cylindrical shape. The flange plate is formed in a ring shape with an octagonal opening, and is placed on the upper end of the container body. The flange plate is fixed to the container body by bending downward the four fixing strips that are continuously attached to the periphery of the opening and adhering them to the inner surfaces of the four side panels. The flange plate extends radially outward from the top opening of the container body, forming a flat upper surface of the packaging container. For example, a packaging container (container body) is skin-packaged by a vacuum packaging machine or the like, and food is contained therein.
