Abstract

This image is used to assist in taking a portrait photo in a predetermined composition, which is displayed so as to be superimposed on the live view image in a photographing device or another information device that remotely operates the photographing device. The photographer adjusts the composition while checking how this image overlaps with the subject. "Image Figure 1" has horizontal and vertical lines that serve as a guide for the position of the face, and a line below that serves as a guide for the position of the chest, representing an image used for taking a bust shot (photo above the chest). The presence of multiple lower lines that serve as a guide for the position of the face enables it to accommodate subjects with different face sizes. Also, "Image Figure 1" represents an image displayed when the photographing device is used in the vertical position. "Image Figure 2" represents an image displayed when the photographing device is used in the horizontal position. "Image Figure 1" and "Image Figure 2" are related in terms of the vertical and horizontal positions, and when the photographing device is tilted by 90 degrees while either image is being displayed, the image automatically switches according to the orientation of the photographing device. "Usage Example Reference Image Figure 1" and "Usage Example Reference Image Figure 2" show the state where the subject is placed in an appropriate position for a bust shot according to the guide lines.
