Abstract

This cap is a drinking cap that is attached to the top of a can containing a beverage. The entire cap is made of sheet material, and is integrally formed with a partially conical cylindrical body that expands downward and an annular bulge at the top of the cylindrical body. When using the cap, the lower part of the cylindrical body is fitted over the top of the canned beverage. When attached, the lower part of the cylindrical body elastically deforms, coming into close contact with the inclined surface at the top of the can containing the beverage. The partially conical shape of the cylindrical body allows it to be attached in a tight fit to the drinking spout or shoulder of the can, as shown in the partial cross-sectional reference diagrams of Usage Example 1 and Usage Example 2. The annular bulge at the top of the cylindrical body has a cross-section with a sloping inner edge and a rounded outer corner, providing a soft feel in the mouth (see enlarged view BB). That is, by attaching this product to a can, one can drink without touching the can or the pull tab with one's lips, and by tilting the can and letting the beverage flow from the annular bulge, one can drink in a natural manner, just like drinking from a glass. Also, as shown in the cross-sectional view of Usage Example 3 (stacked state), multiple products can be stacked together to create a stored state.
