Systems, methods and computer program products for monitoring the behavior, health, and/or characteristics of an animal

Systems, methods, and computer code products for monitoring the behavior, health, and / or characteristics of an animal are disclosed herein. In one implementation, the animal is positioned inside a waste container placed on a system that is adapted to determine, record and communicate over a network various animal health parameters. These parameters can be processed to determine trends, statistics and changes of animal physiological functions. The results can be used to access animal health conditions and issue warnings, alarms, messages, and other notifications to designated caretakers. These notifications may be displayed using various means such as computers and / or mobile devices. Data retrieval and review capability can provide improved understanding of an animal's health conditions and facilitate early illness detection.

Animal feeding and watering device

A large capacity animal feeding and watering device having a serving tray (52) and a removable storage container (48) seated axially within the tray so as to deliver food or water to a serving dish (60). The tray has a number of removable wheels mounted thereunder which enables the device to be highly moveable by the user even when heavy and filled to capacity. The top of the container has a filling aperture (34) of sufficient size to enable access by an adult human hand to the interior of the container to fill or to clean. The same manufacturing molds are used in the production of both the feeding and watering device thereby reducing production costs. The container and the tray are designed to nest closely within other like components thereby decreasing the volume occupied in shipping and storage thus reducing costs.

Animal waterer

A device is disclosed which comprises a drinking fountain for animals in the configuration of a free falling stream of water, or continuous waterfall. A pump moves water from a reservoir upward to a discharge ramp, or ramps, where water spills over into a receptacle. The reservoir and receptacle may consist of the same part. The cascade of water takes advantage of a preference demonstrated by animals for moving drinking water. The waterfall action also aerates the water and increases freshness, by breaking the surface tension of the standing water and drawing in oxygen from the atmosphere. Filtration of the circulating water in this self-contained system is easily accomplished.

Top-fill hummingbird feeder

A liquid birdfeeder includes a generally upstanding container having a large opening at its top end and a bottleneck opening at its lower end. A quarter-turn removable cap is screw-threaded onto the top end to seal the top end opening. The lower bottleneck opening is screw-threaded into a central collar of a feeding basin having a plurality of feeding ports. An actuator rod extends longitudinally through the container and is operatively connected to a biased sealing mechanism which selectively seals or opens the bottleneck opening. When the removable cap is screw-threaded onto the top end opening, the cap depresses the actuator rod causing the biased sealing mechanism to move to an open position which allows liquid to flow out from the container into the feeding basin. When the removable cap is removed, the actuator rod can move upwardly under the force of the biased sealing mechanism, which moves the sealing mechanism to a closed position and prevents liquid in the container from flowing into the feeding basin. The container can then be filled through the top opening without flooding the feeding basin. In one preferred embodiment, the bird feeder includes a common functional feeding module connected within an outer decorative cladding by an interference fit.

Polymer powder with polyamide, use in a shaping process, and moldings produced from this polymer powder

The present invention relates to a polymer powder which comprises polyamide, and to the use of this powder for shaping processes, and also to moldings produced from this polymer powder. The shaping processes are layer-by-layer processes which use powders, where regions of the respective layer are selectively melted via introduction of electromagnetic energy. The selectivity may be achieved, with no intention of restricting the invention thereto, be achieved via masks, application of inhibitors, of absorbers, or of susceptors, or via focusing of the energy introduced. After cooling, the regions then solidified can be removed in the form of moldings from the powder bed.

Feeding machine for pets

The invention discloses a feeding machine for pets. A water containing groove, a water-feeding groove and a main control circuit board are arranged, a water pump is arranged in the water containing groove, a water inlet hole communicated with the water pump is formed in the water-feeding groove, the upper surface of the water-feeding groove extends in a curve direction along the periphery of the water inlet hole to form an inclined face with multiple protruding surfaces, a water outlet is formed in the bottom end of the inclined face and communicated with the water containing groove, and the water pump drives fluid to circulate between the water containing groove and the water-feeding groove. The water-feeding groove is provided with the inclined face with the protruding surfaces, the water pump drives the fluid to circulate between the water-feeding groove and the water containing groove, the water-feeding groove does not contain the fluid, the fluid directly flows down, in this way, exposure time of the fluid in air is short, mosquitoes are not prone to breeding, and it is guaranteed that water feeding is clean and safe for the pets. By arranging the inclined face of the water-feeding groove, the water outlet face of the water-feeding groove is different in height, so that the feeding machine is suitable for pets of different heights. The lowest position of the inclined facecan be used for small pets, and it is avoided that the pets are small and therefore not suitable for getting close to the water-feeding groove.
