Systems, methods, and computer code products for monitoring the behavior, health, and / or characteristics of an animal are disclosed herein. In one implementation, the animal is positioned inside a waste container placed on a system that is adapted to determine, record and communicate over a network various animal health parameters. These parameters can be processed to determine trends, statistics and changes of animal physiological functions. The results can be used to access animal health conditions and issue warnings, alarms, messages, and other notifications to designated caretakers. These notifications may be displayed using various means such as computers and / or mobile devices. Data retrieval and review capability can provide improved understanding of an animal's health conditions and facilitate early illness detection.

A large capacity animal feeding and watering device having a serving tray (52) and a removable storage container (48) seated axially within the tray so as to deliver food or water to a serving dish (60). The retaining wall retains liquid within an inner region of the bottom portion and restricts liquid from flowing to an outer region of the bottom portion, providing easier maintenance and less mechanical force on the cover portion during feeder use. We describe a method of delivering a micro-organism to an animal, the method comprising providing a formulation comprising a micro-organism suspended in or on a matrix; providing a feed stream for the animal; detaching micro-organisms from the matrix; and entraining detached micro-organisms into the feed stream. A liquid birdfeeder includes a generally upstanding container having a large opening at its top end and a bottleneck opening at its lower end. When the removable cap is screw-threaded onto the top end opening, the cap depresses the actuator rod causing the biased sealing mechanism to move to an open position which allows liquid to flow out from the container into the feeding basin. When the removable cap is removed, the actuator rod can move upwardly under the force of the biased sealing mechanism, which moves the sealing mechanism to a closed position and prevents liquid in the container from flowing into the feeding basin. The container can then be filled through the top opening without flooding the feeding basin. In one preferred embodiment, the bird feeder includes a common functional feeding module connected within an outer decorative cladding by an interference fit.

The present invention generally relates to a bird feeder having an adjustable sealing feeding port. The feeding port may be moved from a first position to a second position with respect to the rest of the feeder. More specifically, the bird food may be secured within the bird feeder when the adjustable sealing feeding port is in the second position and the bird food may be accessible to birds while the adjustable sealing feeding port is the first position. By arranging the inclined face of the water-feeding groove, the water outlet face of the water-feeding groove is different in height, so that the feeding machine is suitable for pets of different heights. The lowest position of the inclined facecan be used for small pets, and it is avoided that the pets are small and therefore not suitable for getting close to the water-feeding groove.

The present invention relates to an animal feeding devices that protect food in a pet food dish or bowl from infestation by crawling insects such as ants. The devices consists of a table with a flat top and four legs wherein each leg is surrounded by a liquid reservoir, which when filled with a suitable liquid, functions by presenting a liquid barrier to crawling insects thereby excluding the insects from the table top. The table top has one or more openings sized to accommodate a rimmed feed bowl or rendering the bowl stationary for a feeding pet. Certain embodiments also provide a liquid supply vessel for maintaining a suitable level liquid in the reservoirs.

The present invention is a nectar feeder for birds. The nectar feeder has a container for storing nectar feed. A base tray is attached to the container and connected in fluid communication with the container. A float is positioned between the container and the base tray. A ball is positioned on the float. The ball regulates the fluid communication between the container and the base tray. In operation, the nectar feed flows through the container and into the base tray until the float rises to a level where the ball prevents fluid from flowing into the base tray.

A hummingbird feeder includes a solar panel power source for illuminating a reservoir of liquid hummingbird food so that the hummingbird can find it at night. A top-fill hummingbird feeder is provided having a liquid container with a liquid flow opening at a lower end and a removable cap at an upper end, a feeding basin positioned below the liquid container, and a sealing mechanism associated with the liquid flow opening and the feeding basin. The sealing mechanism includes a bottle seal assembly configured for removable coupling with a base of the feeding basin, and a float valve captured by said bottle seal assembly to prevent rotation thereof while allowing the float valve to move upwardly and downwardly with changing nectar levels in the feeding basin. When the feeding basin reaches a full position, the liquid nectar raises the float valve which, in turn, acts to close the liquid flow opening.

A pet fountain having a basin and a cover overlying at least part of the basin and is supported by a sidewall of the basin and a pump disposed therebetween. The basin and cover have sidewall sections that converge to form a V-shaped locator arrangement that positions a coupling tube in communication with drinking bowl inlet of the cover so it is substantially coaxial with an outlet of the pump or pump module to telescopically engage the outlet. The basin can have an upraised shelf that holds a cord conduit providing a cord routing recess underneath. The shelf is disposed adjacent the V-shaped locator arrangement between an apex of the V-shaped locator arrangement and the pump or pump module minimizing the length of the cord run to the pump. In one embodiment, the V-shaped locator arrangement is formed by at least the basin having a raindrop or teardrop shape.
