Abstract

This item is a building block that is symmetrical when viewed from the front, and is made up of constituent pieces of the same thickness (base scale) that form an arch shape. At each of the upper left and upper right corners when viewed from the front, there are square constituent pieces A1 and A1' whose length is the base unit 1 (base scale) that corresponds to the integral ratio of the length and width of the arch structure. Constituent pieces B1 and B2' are the same shape, and constituent pieces B2 and B1' are the same shape, and when constituent pieces B1 and B2 are turned over, they become the same shape as constituent pieces B1' and B2'. Constituent pieces A1, B1, and B2 that make up the upper left when viewed from the front, and constituent pieces A1', B1', and B2' that make up the upper right when viewed from the front, provide a sense of mechanical stability, which makes this item a mechanically correct arch.
