Abstract

The product to which this design pertains is a printed material encouraging users to scan a QR code or similar code with a smartphone. In public facilities, stores, and other locations, this submitted design can be displayed alongside or near QR codes or similar codes that guide users to usage instructions, service details, product descriptions, and other information, enhancing visibility and encouraging users to scan the QR code or similar code. QR codes are now widespread, and posting a QR code prompts users to scan it with their smartphones for information. However, QR codes are often difficult to notice when displayed alone, and text is often attached to the QR code to encourage scanning. Therefore, utilizing this submitted design contributes to widely publicizing the fact that information can be obtained by scanning with a smartphone. Another important function is promoting the dissemination of information to people whose native language is not Japanese. For these people, the uncertainty and anxiety of scanning with a smartphone can lead to a lack of use of QR codes, even when the QR code conveys information about national systems, disaster information, emergency response, or other important or necessary information. This submitted document will be intuitively usable even by people whose native language is not Japanese. Furthermore, by using this document in conjunction with a QR code that displays in multiple languages ​​(displayed in the language settings of the smartphone that scanned it) when scanned, it will be possible to communicate information to many people in a space-saving manner (there is no need to write in several major languages ​​at the same time).
