Abstract

The article to which the present design pertains (hereinafter referred to as "the article") is a pitcher for storing drinking water or the like, and comprises a substantially rectangular cylindrical body with a bottom and an opening that opens upward, and a substantially rectangular lid that closes the opening of the body. The lid of the article is provided with flaps that swing around axes that protrude in the direction of one of its two diagonals, and the flaps are equipped with opening / closing valves that, when the flaps swing, open and close a substantially circular communication hole provided on one diagonal side of the lid. The other diagonal side of the lid of the article is provided with a spout that continues from the communication hole. The flap of the lid of this product is designed so that when the other diagonal side of the flap is swung downward, the on-off valve opens the communication hole, allowing drinking water or the like to pour from the spout as the body tilts, while when one diagonal side of the flap is swung downward, the on-off valve closes the communication hole, blocking drinking water from the spout.This product has four chamfered corners on the body and lid, and each side of the body is formed into a tapered surface that slopes slightly inward as it goes from the opening to the bottom.
