Beverage container lid

Abstract

This article is a lid for a beverage container (a cup-type beverage container), and it fits around the rounded top edge of a beverage container, such as a paper cup, to cover the opening of the beverage container. The top plate of this article has a drinking spout surrounded by a cutout. The drinking spout is maintained open by pushing the inside of the cutout downward and hanging from the front side of the top plate. Figure 1.6 is a cross-sectional view taken along A-A. Figure 1.7 is a cross-sectional view taken along B-B. Figure 1.8 is a reference perspective view showing the drinking spout in an open state. Figure 1.9 is a reference cross-sectional view taken along A-A showing the drinking spout in an open state. The area surrounded by the dashed line is the part for which a design registration is sought as a partial design. The dashed line merely indicates the boundary between the part for which a design registration is sought as a partial design and the remaining parts.
