Abstract

This ingredient inserter is used to insert takoyaki ingredients, such as octopus, into multiple recesses formed in a takoyaki iron plate. It includes a frame, an upper plate, and a bottom plate. The upper plate has multiple ingredient holes formed as through-holes. The positions and sizes of these ingredient holes are determined to fit the multiple recesses formed in the takoyaki iron plate. As shown in the enlarged cross-sectional view AA, the bottom plate is positioned so that its top surface is substantially in contact with the bottom surface of the upper plate. The bottom plate can be displaced from a position shown in a plan view (hereinafter referred to as the "holding position") to a position in which it is moved downward in the plan view (hereinafter referred to as the "insertion position"). When using the ingredient inserter, the bottom plate is placed in the holding position, as shown in Reference Figure 1, which shows the usage state. In this position, the bottom of the ingredient holes is blocked by the bottom of the bottom plate, forming recesses. Takoyaki ingredients, such as octopus, are placed in these recesses. Next, as shown in Reference Figure 2, which shows the usage state, the ingredient inserter is placed on the iron plate into which takoyaki batter has been poured. At this time, each ingredient hole is positioned above the recessed portion of the iron plate. Then, as shown in Reference Figure 3, which shows the state of use, the bottom plate is pulled out and displaced into the loading position. As a result, the ingredients placed in the ingredient holes lose support from the bottom plate and are dropped into the recessed portion of the iron plate below.
