Abstract
This hair dryer has a horizontally oriented cylindrical body and a cylindrical handle extending downward from the center of the underside of the body. It draws in air through an inlet on the right side of the body and blows out air from an outlet on the left side of the body. A rotating shaft is provided at the top of the handle, and the handle can be rotated 180 degrees left or right around this shaft. This allows the handle to be folded toward the outlet as shown in Reference Illustrations 7-9 (usage states), or toward the inlet as shown in Reference Illustration 10 (usage state). The front of the handle also has a power / airflow control switch and a temperature control switch. The power / airflow control switch is a sliding switch that slides up and down; the bottom position provides power off, the middle position provides weak airflow, and the top position provides strong airflow. The temperature control switch is a push-button switch; each press of the temperature control switch changes the temperature of the air blown out of the outlet in the following order: cool, low, medium, and high. Around the temperature control switch, there is a display that indicates whether the power is on or off and the temperature of the air blown out from the outlet. In the reference diagram 11 of the usage state, the display is off, meaning the power is off, and in the reference diagram 12 of the usage state, the display is lit blue, meaning cool air. In the reference diagram 13 of the usage state, the display is lit yellow, meaning low temperature, in the reference diagram 14 of the usage state, the display is lit purple, meaning medium temperature, and in the reference diagram 15 of the usage state, the display is lit red, meaning high temperature.
