Abstract

The article to which the present design pertains (hereinafter referred to as "the Article") is a sock. The Article is designed so that the pressure that compresses the leg decreases continuously from 25 hPa (hectopascals; the same applies hereinafter) in the direction from the ankle to the calf, down to 18 hPa. Despite this compression design, the leg portion is made of elastic rib knit, so the leg is not excessively constricted. Furthermore, the elastic band is longer than conventional elastic bands, eliminating the constriction caused by the elastic band and improving the wearing comfort, and the elastic band is made of thick fabric using a double-knit construction, making it easy to grasp when putting on the socks.
