Abstract

This article is a packaging container for wrapping fruits and vegetables. For example, this article can contain multiple strawberries, and by covering the top surface of the container with a sheet-like covering material such as a transparent film or vinyl sheet, it can form a strawberry pack containing multiple strawberries. This article is a packaging container that is roughly rectangular in shape in plan view and has an open top, and has a bottom, four side walls, and flanges that protrude on all four sides above the side walls. This article has an arc-shaped recess formed in the center of the outer edges of the left and right short sides of its roughly rectangular shape in plan view. The recess creates a gap between adjacent articles when multiple articles are lined up in an outer container such as a cardboard box, making it easy to remove the articles. In addition, the middle part of the flanges on the left and right short sides of the shape in plan view is a curved projection that forms an arch shape with the upper side convex in side view, and partially protrudes from the other parts of the four flanges. The recess described above is formed on the outer side of the top of the curved projection. The left and right curved projections prevent fruits, etc., contained in the article from spilling out of the container, and allow for good storage of fruits, etc. in the container. As shown in the "Reference Front View Showing the Names of Each Part," "Reference Right Side View Showing the Names of Each Part," "Reference BB Line Cut End View Showing the Names of Each Part," and "Reference EE Line Cut End View Showing the Names of Each Part," the article has projections formed near the four corners of its roughly rectangular plan view, extending from the flange to the upper end of the side wall. The projections are outwardly protruding parts that form recesses on the inside of the container and protrudes on the outside of the container. With this article, in a shipping container having a frame-shaped support that supports and contains the article with the flange resting on it, the projections at the four corners become contact points with the support of the container, suppressing displacement (swaying) of the article. This suppresses damage to the fruits and vegetables being packaged during transportation, and helps maintain the quality of the packaged items.
