Abstract

This item is a vest worn by traffic controllers at road construction sites and other locations. The vest has two storage compartments on the inside of the front, one above and one below. The upper compartment stores a dedicated two-lamp portable traffic signal light for the red light, and the lower compartment stores a dedicated blue light. A mobile battery is stored in a storage compartment on the outside of the back. The vest has openings on both sides, and by unbuckling the adjustment belts on both sides, it can be unfolded into a single piece of fabric, making it easy to store the dedicated portable traffic signal lights in the inner storage compartments of the front. Because the vest is made of mesh fabric, the highly directional light of the LED passes through the mesh fabric while being moderately diffused, so the light of the LED portable traffic signal light can be clearly seen from the outside without the need for a transparent section on the front. Traffic controllers wearing this item can control the movement of people and vehicles by switching a single-circuit, two-contact, center-point switch located in the power cord (not shown) connecting the portable traffic signal light and the mobile battery. This switch allows them to switch between turning on the red light, turning off both lights, and turning on the blue light of the portable traffic signal light.
