Gaff joint

Abstract

This item is a joint that connects a gaff to its handle. Parts 2 and 3, as shown in Reference Figure 1, are glued together (Reference Figure 2). Part 1 rotates 90 degrees along the inner groove and locks into place. Reference Figure 3 illustrates the locked state with a view through part 2. In this state, it will not come off even if pulled straight. However, after gaffing a fish, the handle can be rotated 90 degrees back and pulled to easily remove the gaff.
