Abstract

To provide a method for assisting a vehicle driver of a carrying vehicle (16) in taking a loading position (20) in a defined loading region (18) of a work machine (14).SOLUTION: The carrying vehicle (16) is detected and identified in the defined loading region (18) using a sensor unit (22), especially, an optical sensor unit (22). As long as the carrying vehicle (16) is detected in the defined loading region (18), a verification signal is continuously output by signal output units (24 and 26). When the carrying vehicle (16) reaches a regulated brake point, a brake signal is output by the signal output units (24 and 26). When the carrying vehicle (16) reaches the loading position (20), an end signal is output by the signal output units (24 and 26).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2c
