Abstract

To provide a thiophene compound applicable to a coating agent, ink, an adhesive, a tackiness agent, a gas barrier film, a color filter, an optical film, an optical lens, and a touch panel, a method of synthesizing the same, and composition including the thiophene compound.SOLUTION: A thiophene compound is expressed by the formula (I) and the like. In the formula, R1, R2, and R3 are the same or different and represent H, -OR4, -SR4, -C(=O)-R4, a phenyl group, a 2-thienyl group, or a 3-thienyl group, R2 may be coupled to R1 or R3 to form a ring containing a sulfur atom together with two carbon atoms which are bonded to each other and form a thiophene ring. R4 is the same or different and represents a 1-5C alkyl group. Y1 represents a single bond, or a 1-10C alkylene group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
