Abstract

To suppress occurrence of multiple dead in a RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disk) configured using SSDs (Solid State Drives).SOLUTION: A storage control device according to an embodiment comprises a connection interface (I / F), a host I / F, and at least one processor. The connection I / F is connected to each of three or more physical drives, including two or more SSDs having the same maximum capacity, that configure a RAID. The host I / F is connected to a host. The at least one processor controls writing of write data received from the host to the RAID. The at least one processor controls an amount of write data written to each of the plurality of physical drives, thereby making a total write capacity, which is a capacity of accumulated write data, different between a first SSD and a second SSD among the two or more SSDs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
