Abstract

To provide a hydrogen sensor having improved precision.SOLUTION: A hydrogen sensor 10 includes: an electrolyte layer 12 containing a proton conductor; a first electrode layer 11 provided on a first main surface 12a of the electrolyte layer 12; a second electrode layer 13 provided on a second main surface 12b of the electrolyte layer 12 and having gas diffusion properties; and a coating layer 14 for coating a first main surface 13a on a side of the electrolyte layer 12 of the second electrode layer 13 and a second main surface 13b on the opposite side. A thickness of the second electrode layer 13 is more than a thickness of the electrolyte layer 12. A porosity of the coating layer 14 is less than a porosity of the second electrode layer 13. At least a part of a side face 13c of the second electrode layer 13 or at least a part of the second main surface 13b of the second electrode layer 13 has an area that can contact with hydrogen gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
