Abstract

To provide a selection support system, a method, and a program that support selection of an appropriate packaging material.SOLUTION: A selection support system 100 includes: a data acquisition unit 151 that acquires, according to a shipping order including a product to be shipped and a shipping destination, a non-selection code for excluding a packaging material at a shipping destination from a selection target, from a legal regulation information database that stores legal regulation information on a packaging material at the shipping destination; a selection unit 152 that selects a packaging material that does not include the non-selected code from a packaging material database that stores information on the packaging material; and a calculation unit 153 that calculates, on the basis of at least one of a packaging material usage amount and a global warming coefficient of the packaging material that does not include the non-selected code, an environmental impact of the packaging material that does not include a non-selected code.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
