Method and device for discriminating solid waste

Abstract

To provide a solid waste discrimination method and device for discriminating differences of additives contained in resin with high accuracy by using a terahertz wave of 100GHz to 10THz.SOLUTION: When electromagnetic wave generators to be used for discrimination are sequentially switched, a first beam diameter adjustment part 3 adjusts an incident beam diameter to a lens part in accordance with frequency of the electromagnetic wave generators, and makes the beam diameter of an electromagnetic wave emitted from a solid waste having a different diameter incident on a fixed beam diameter without depending on the frequency and a detection part 7 by depending on frequency after adjusting a second beam diameter adjustment part 6, and a discrimination part 8 discriminates materials constituting the solid waste on the basis of electromagnetic wave intensity information obtained by associating the electromagnetic wave intensity with the materials, and electromagnetic wave intensity acquired by the detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
