Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a light unit used in an elongated LED lighting fixture. [Background technology]
[0002] In the prior art, there is a method of fixing an LED board to a frame using an adhesive. For example, paragraph
[0041] of Patent Document 1 states, "The LED module 20 and the base 30 can also be fixed with an adhesive or the like without using a pressing member." However, when fixing the LED board to the frame with an adhesive, there is a possibility that the LED board may peel off from the frame if the adhesive strength decreases with aging. If this happens, the LED board may sag, and if the high-temperature LED package comes into contact with a cover made of a resin material, the cover may melt or burn. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0008] Embodiment 1 The lighting fixture 5 according to the first embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 11. The lighting fixture 5 includes a fixture 1 and a light unit 2. The feature of the first embodiment is the guide member 6 included in the light unit 2. The guide member 6 makes it easy to notice that the LED substrate 30 has been peeled off from the support 23, and it is possible to provide a light unit 2 in which the translucent resin cover 21 is not melted by the high-temperature LED package 31 of the peeled off LED substrate 30. In the following, first the configuration of lighting fixture 5 will be described, and then the configuration of guide member 6 will be described in detail.
[0009] ***Configuration Description*** FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a lighting fixture 5. FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the lighting fixture 5 separated into a fixture 1 and a light unit 2. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the light unit 2. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the lighting fixture 5. FIG. 5 is an exploded perspective view of the light unit 2. FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining a method of attaching the light unit 2 to the fixture 1.
[0010] <Lighting fixture 5> As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the lighting fixture 5 has a light unit 2 and a fixture 1 to which the light unit 2 can be detachably attached. The lighting fixture 5 is long, and the fixture 1 and the light unit 2 that constitute the lighting fixture 5 are also long. As shown in Fig. 1, the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction of the lighting fixture 5 are respectively defined as the X direction and the Y direction. Similarly, the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction of the fixture 1 and the light unit 2 are respectively defined as the X direction and the Y direction. The lighting fixture 5 is a lighting fixture that is attached to, for example, a ceiling 7. The lighting fixture 5 is a so-called "inverted Fuji type" lighting fixture that is directly attached to the ceiling. As shown in Fig. 2, the fixture 1 has a pair of leaf springs 11.
[0011] <Light unit 2> As shown in Fig. 5, the light unit 2 has an LED substrate 30, a support 23, and a light-transmitting resin cover 21. As will be described later, the light unit 2 also includes a guide member 6 (Figs. 7 to 11). The guide member 6 may be provided on the end cover 22 or on the support body 23. In a configuration in which the end cover 22 is provided with the guide member 6, the guide member 6 is disposed at an end of the light unit 2 in the longitudinal direction (X direction). In a configuration in which the support body 23 is provided with the guide member 6, the guide member 6 may be disposed at any position in the longitudinal direction (X direction) of the support body 23. Note that one or more guide members 6 may be disposed on the light unit 2. For example, one end cover 22 may be provided with the guide member 6, or both end covers 22 may be provided with the guide member 6. The LED substrate 30 has an elongated shape, and a plurality of LED packages 31 are disposed on the surface along the longitudinal direction (X direction). 5, the support 23 has a flat plate portion 230 and a pair of side portions 233. The flat plate portion 230 has an elongated shape, and the LED substrate 30 is placed on the flat plate portion 230 by abutting the back surface of the flat plate portion 230. The side portion 233 has a pair of side portions 233 that stand up from one side edge and the other side edge along the longitudinal direction (X direction) of the flat plate portion 230 toward the opposite side of the installation surface (first surface portion 231) on which the LED substrate 30 is placed, with the back surface (second surface portion 232) of the installation surface (first surface portion 231) of the flat plate portion 230 as a base end. The light-transmitting resin cover 21 has a cover main portion 210 (FIG. 4) that covers the LED board 30, and a pair of cover engagement portions 212 (FIG. 4) that engage with the pair of side portions 233. 3, the light unit 2 has a pair of connectors 46 and a power supply device 40 that lights up the LED package 31. The light-transmitting resin cover 21 is attached to the support body 23 so as to cover the LED substrate 30 (FIG. 4).
[0012] <Translucent resin cover 21> As shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the translucent resin cover 21 has a cover main part 210, a cover side part 211, a cover engagement part 212, and a cover holding part 213. The cover main part 210 is a front translucent part. The cover side part 211 is a side translucent part. The cover engagement part 212 is a part that fits with the support body 23. The cover holding part 213 is a part that holds the support body 23. The cover main part 210 is located on the front side of the translucent resin cover 21 and faces the LED board 30. The cover side part 211 is a part that corresponds to a side part of the translucent resin cover 21. The cover engagement part 212 is a part that protrudes from the cover side part 211 in the mounting direction toward the bottom part 103. The cover engagement part 212 engages with the side part 233 of the support body 23 to mount the translucent resin cover 21 to the support body 23.
[0013] 4, the light-transmitting resin cover 21 is attached to the support 23 so as to cover the LED substrate 30 attached to the support 23. The light-transmitting resin cover 21 is attached to the support 23 with the cover engagement portion 212 covering the tip portion of the side portion 233 of the support 23.
[0014] <End cover 22> As shown in FIG. 5, both ends of the translucent resin cover 21 in the longitudinal direction (X direction) are covered with end covers 22.
[0015] <Support 23> The support 23 is an attachment member, serves as a pedestal, and functions as a heat sink. As shown in FIG. 5, the support 23 extends in the longitudinal direction (X direction) and has a U-shaped cross section. The support 23 has a plate-shaped flat portion 230 that serves as an attachment portion. The flat portion 230 has a first surface portion 231 and a second surface portion 232. The back surface of the LED substrate 30 is adhered to the first surface portion 231 using an adhesive (not shown) that is an adhesive member. A power supply device 40, a pair of connectors 46, and other components are attached to the second surface portion 232. The second surface portion 232 is the surface on the back side of the first surface portion 231. Note that an adhesive tape or the like with an adhesive applied thereto may be used as the adhesive member.
[0016] A pair of side portions 233 are formed on both sides of the flat portion 230. The side portions 233 rise toward the bottom surface portion 103 (FIGS. 2 and 4) of the unit attachment portion 102 of the fixture 1 when the light unit 2 is attached to the fixture 1. The tip portions of the side portions 233 are fitted with the cover engagement portion 212.
[0017] <LED substrate 30> As shown in FIG. 5, the LED substrate 30 has a plurality of LED packages 31 and a substrate 34. The substrate 34 has a mounting surface 340 (FIG. 4) and a non-mounting surface 341 (FIG. 5). The mounting surface 340 is the surface of the LED substrate 30, and a plurality of LED packages 31 are mounted along the longitudinal direction (X direction). The non-mounting surface 341 is the back surface of the LED substrate 30 and is the surface facing the first surface portion 231 of the support 23. The non-mounting surface 341 is the adhesion surface of the LED substrate 30 with respect to the first surface portion 231 of the support 23 and is a heat transfer surface for transferring heat from the substrate 34 to the support 23.
[0018] As shown in FIG. 3, the light unit 2 has a pair of connectors 46. The connectors 46 are spring receiving fittings that engage with a leaf spring 11 installed in the fixture 1. The two connectors 46 are respectively attached to both end sides in the longitudinal direction (X direction) of the flat portion 230. The connectors 46 engage with the leaf spring 11 provided in the fixture 1 to fix the light unit 2 to the fixture 1.
[0019] <Explanation of the construction method of the lighting fixture 5> A method for attaching the light unit 2 to the device 1 will be described with reference to FIG. (1) First, the fixture 1 is attached to the ceiling 7. Methods for attaching the fixture 1 to the ceiling 7 include a method of fixing it to a hanging bolt suspended from the ceiling 7, or a method of fixing it directly to the ceiling with a fastener such as a screw. (2) Next, the leaf spring 11 is engaged with the connector 46 of the light unit 2. Specifically, the leaf spring 11 is inserted through the opening 46a (FIG. 4) of the connector 46. At this time, in a state where a working space exists between the light unit 2 and the fixture 1, work such as connecting the power supply wire of the fixture 1 to the power supply wire of the light unit 2 is performed. (3) Thereafter, when the light unit 2 is pushed up toward the fixture 1, the pair of leaf springs 11 pulls up the light unit 2, and the light unit 2 is attached to the fixture 1.
[0020] <Guide member 6> The configurations of the device 1, the light unit 2, and the lighting device 5 have been described above. Below, the guide member 6, which is a feature of the first embodiment, will be described. FIG. 7 shows a longitudinal extension 61 and a transverse extension 62 which are realised as the guide element 6 .
[0021] When the back surface of the LED substrate 30 is peeled off from the flat plate portion 230 due to weakening of the adhesive strength, for example, the guide member 6 guides the LED substrate 30 so as to rotate about a virtual axis 63 (FIGS. 7 to 11) that is an axis along the longitudinal direction (X direction) of the LED substrate 30 and is a virtual axis included in the LED substrate 30. By this guide, the guide member 6 maintains the LED substrate 30 in a position where none of the multiple LED packages 31 contacts the light-transmitting resin cover 21.
[0022] The guide member 6 is disposed on the front side of the LED substrate 30 adhered to the support 23, and is realized as a longitudinal extension member 61 (FIGS. 7 to 9) having a shape extending from one end side of the LED substrate 30 in the longitudinal direction (X direction) toward the other end side.
[0023] In addition, the guide member 6 is arranged on the front side of the LED substrate 30 adhered to the support 23, and is realized as a short-side extension member 62 (Figures 10 and 11) having a shape extending from one end side of the short side direction (Y direction) of the LED substrate 30 toward the other end side. The short-side extension member 62 can also function as a holding member that holds the LED board 30 in a position where none of the multiple LED packages 31 contacts the translucent resin cover 21. When the short-side extension member 62 functions as a holding member, the short-side extension member 62 holds the LED board 30 in a state where the LED board 30 does not contact the translucent resin cover 21 (FIGS. 10 and 11).
[0024] The longitudinal extension member 61 and the lateral extension member 62 will be specifically described below with reference to the drawings.
[0025] <Longitudinal extension member 61> Fig. 7 shows the longitudinal extension member 61. Fig. 7 shows a state in which the LED board 30 has peeled off from the flat plate portion 230, and the LED board 30 is about to fall from the flat plate portion 230. Fig. 7(a) shows a cross section of the light unit 2, and (b) shows a side view. (b) shows the relationship between the support body 23, the LED board 30, and the longitudinal extension member 61 in a see-through state through the translucent resin cover 21.
[0026] As shown in FIG. 7, the end cover 22 is provided with a longitudinal extension member 61. The longitudinal extension member 61 is a rotation protrusion that supports the rotation of the LED board 30. As shown in FIG. 7(b), when the left end cover 22 is focused on, the longitudinal extension member 61 has a shape that protrudes rightward in the longitudinal direction (X direction), and when the right end cover 22 is focused on, the longitudinal extension member 61 has a shape that protrudes leftward in the longitudinal direction (X direction). In other words, the longitudinal extension member 61 has a shape that protrudes from one end cover 22 toward the other end cover 22.
[0027] The longitudinal extension member 61 is formed below the LED substrate 30 adhered to the flat plate portion 230 when the lighting device 5 is in use. The longitudinal extension member 61 is formed at a position not overlapping in the vertical direction (up-down direction) with the virtual center of gravity of the LED substrate 30 adhered to the flat plate portion 230 when viewed in a cross section normal to the longitudinal direction (X direction) when the lighting device 5 is in use.
[0028] By providing the longitudinal extension member 61 to the light unit 2, when the back surface of the LED substrate 30 peels off from the flat plate portion 230, the LED substrate 30 rotates in the rotation direction 36. In detail, the longitudinal extension member 61 has a circular cross section with the longitudinal direction (X direction) as the normal direction, and when the LED substrate 30 peels off from the flat plate portion 230 and tries to fall off, the LED substrate 30 rotates in the rotation direction 36 while contacting the curved surface of the longitudinal extension member 61. In other words, the longitudinal extension member 61 encourages the LED substrate 30 to rotate in the rotation direction 36 around the virtual axis 63 on the surface of the LED substrate 30 as the center of rotation. After the rotation is completed, the longitudinal extension member 61 maintains the inclined posture of the LED substrate 30. By maintaining the inclined posture in this manner, it is possible to prevent the high-temperature LED package 31 from contacting the translucent resin cover 21, and therefore, even if the LED substrate 30 is peeled off from the flat plate portion 230, it is possible to prevent the translucent resin cover 21 from melting. Furthermore, the optical axis of the LED package 31 changes as the LED substrate 30 tilts due to rotation in the rotation direction 36. This has the effect of making it easier for a user of the lighting device 5 to notice peeling of the LED substrate 30.
[0029] <Relationship between dimensions B1, B2, B3, B4, H1, H2> After the rotation of the LED board 30 is completed, in the case of (3) below, the longitudinal extension member 61 maintains the position of the LED board 30 together with the light-transmitting resin cover 21. The dimensional relationships of the various parts shown below are important. Examples of dimensional relationships for the longitudinal extension member 61 of FIG. (1) Width dimension B1 of support 23>Width dimension B2 of LED substrate 30 The dimensional relationships in this (1) are exemplified as Embodiment 1 of the present disclosure. That is, they are not limited thereto, and the dimensional relationships may be relationships other than the dimensional relationships in (1) according to the specifications of the light unit 2. (2) The maximum width dimension B3 of the translucent resin cover 21 ≧ the width dimension B2 of the LED substrate 30 (3) The minimum width dimension B4 of the translucent resin cover 21 ≧ the width dimension B2 of the LED substrate 30 In this dimensional relationship of (3), the LED substrate 30 peeled from the flat plate portion 230 is rotatable in the internal space of the translucent resin cover 21. (4) The height dimension H1 of the translucent resin cover 21 < the width dimension B2 of the LED substrate 30 In this dimensional relationship of (4), the LED substrate 30 remains inclined in the internal space of the translucent resin cover 21. (5) The distance dimension H2 between the longitudinal extension member 61 and the translucent resin cover 21 in the vertical direction (up and down direction) < the width dimension B2 of the LED substrate 30 In this dimensional relationship of (5), the LED substrate 30 is supported by the longitudinal extension member 61 and the translucent resin cover 21 and remains in the internal space. (6) The height dimension H1 of the translucent resin cover 21 ≧ the width dimension B2 of the LED substrate 30 In this dimensional relationship of (6), the LED substrate 30 can rotate in the internal space of the translucent resin cover 21. That is, the LED substrate 30 can also be inverted (turned over) (the state of the LED substrate 30 in (d) of FIG. 11).
[0030] <Specific dimensional examples> The dimensions of each part can adopt, for example, the following dimensions. Frame width = 56 mm, length = 600 mm to 2400 mm, The width dimension B1 of the support 23 = 62 mm, The length L1 (FIG. 5) of the support 23 (flat plate portion 230) = 600 mm to 2400 mm, The height dimension H1 of the translucent resin cover 21 = 18 mm. If the width dimension B2 of the LED board 30 exceeds 18 mm, the LED board 30 cannot rotate inside the light-transmitting resin cover 21 when peeled off, but can rotate if it is 18 mm or less.
[0031] Fig. 8 is a diagram for explaining the function of the longitudinal extension member 61. In Fig. 8, the longitudinal extension member 61 is provided on the end cover 22. When the LED board 30 is about to peel off from the flat plate portion 230 and fall, the posture of the LED board 30 changes from (a), (b), to (c) in Fig. 8. Since the LED substrate 30 rotates in the rotation direction 36 around the contact portion with the longitudinal extension member 61 as a fulcrum, the LED package 31 does not come into contact with the light-transmitting resin cover 21 . In addition, when considering the rigidity of the substrate 34 in the LED substrate 30, the rigidity is stronger when the LED substrate 30 stands vertically (up-down direction) as shown in (d) of Fig. 8 when viewed in a cross section cut in the short side direction (Y direction) of the LED substrate 30. Furthermore, when the LED substrate 30 stands vertically (up-down direction), the LED substrate 30 does not sag onto the translucent resin cover 21, and the LED package 31 does not come into contact with the translucent resin cover 21. In this case, the entirety or part of the substrate 34 in the LED substrate 30 does not come into contact with the longitudinal extension member 61.
[0032] FIG. 9 shows variations of the longitudinal extension member 61, that is, longitudinal extension members 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D, and 61E. 9(a) shows the longitudinal extension member 61A. The longitudinal extension member 61A has a semicircular cross-sectional shape with the longitudinal direction (X direction) as the normal direction, and an arc portion is disposed to face the flat plate portion 230. 9(b) shows the longitudinal extension member 61B. The longitudinal extension member 61B has a semi-elliptical cross section with the longitudinal direction (X direction) as the normal direction, and an elliptical arc portion is disposed to face the flat plate portion 230. The longitudinal extension member 61B may have an elliptical cross section with the longitudinal direction (X direction) as the normal direction, including a dashed line portion. The longitudinal extension member 61B is formed so that the major axis is aligned in the up-down direction. 9(c) shows a longitudinal extension member 61C. The longitudinal extension member 61C has a triangular cross section with the longitudinal direction (X direction) as the normal direction, and has an apex facing the flat plate portion 230. 9(d) shows the longitudinal extension member 61D. The longitudinal extension member 61D has a semi-elliptical cross section with the longitudinal direction (X direction) as the normal direction, and an elliptical arc portion is disposed to face the flat plate portion 230. The longitudinal extension member 61D may have an elliptical cross section with the longitudinal direction (X direction) as the normal direction, including a dashed line portion. The longitudinal extension member 61D is formed so that its minor axis is aligned in the up-down direction. 9(e) shows a longitudinal extension member 61E. The longitudinal extension member 61E has a triangular cross-sectional shape with the longitudinal direction (X direction) as the normal direction, which is different from that of the longitudinal extension member 61C, and the apex is disposed so as to face the flat plate portion 230.
[0033] As variations of the longitudinal extension member 61, longitudinal extension members 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D, and 61E have been shown as examples, but the cross-sectional shape of the longitudinal extension member whose normal direction is the longitudinal direction (X direction) can be selected from several different forms, and the cross-sectional shape can be circular, elliptical, polygonal, or a combination of these. The positions of the longitudinal extension members 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D, and 61E may be located close to or far from the LED package 31 in the short side direction (Y direction). In other words, the positions of the longitudinal extension members may be located at the ends of the LED substrate 30 or near the center of the LED substrate 30 close to the LED package 31 in the short side direction (Y direction).
[0034] The longitudinal extension member 61A can reduce the amount of material used compared to the longitudinal extension member 61. Although the cross-sectional shape is somewhat complicated, it is a shape that can be used by a general molding method. The longitudinal extension member 61B has a smaller curvature at the portion closest to the LED board 30 than the longitudinal extension member 61 or the longitudinal extension member 61A. This has the effect of making it easier for the LED board 30 to rotate when it falls off. The longitudinal extension member 61C having a triangular cross-sectional shape has the advantage that it is easier to rotate when the LED board 30 falls off than the longitudinal extension member 61A having a circular cross-sectional shape or the longitudinal extension member 61B having an elliptical cross-sectional shape. The longitudinal extension member 61D has a larger curvature at the portion closest to the LED board 30 than the longitudinal extension members 61, 61A, 61B, and 61C. This has the effect of causing the LED board 30 to rotate gradually when it falls off. The longitudinal extension member 61E has a triangular cross-sectional shape like the longitudinal extension member 61C, but the angle θ of the inclined surface 610 including the apex closest to the LED substrate 30 with respect to the vertical direction (up-down direction) is small. Therefore, the LED substrate 30 slowly falls off while sliding along the inclined surface 610 of the longitudinal extension member 61E. The angle θ is in the range of greater than 0° and less than 90°.
[0035] When the positions of these longitudinal extension members in the short direction (Y direction) are close to the ends of the LED substrate 30, the LED substrate 30 becomes easier to rotate around the contact points with the longitudinal extension members as fulcrums (because the moment force is large). On the other hand, if the position of the longitudinal extension member in the short-side direction (Y direction) is closer to the center of the LED board 30, the LED board 30 rotates slowly and falls off.
[0036] If the LED board 30 rotates easily when it falls off, the user can easily notice an abnormality in the lighting device 5. Furthermore, if the LED board 30 rotates slowly when it falls off, the impact is suppressed, and there is no risk of damaging the light-transmitting resin cover 21.
[0037] <Short direction extension member 62> Fig. 10 shows the short-side extension member 62. Fig. 10 shows a state in which the LED substrate 30 has been peeled off from the flat plate portion 230. The long-side extension member 61 described in Fig. 7 to Fig. 9 supports the rotation of the LED substrate 30 in the rotation direction 36, but the position of the LED substrate 30 in which the LED package 31 does not contact the light-transmitting resin cover 21 depends on the light-transmitting resin cover 21. In contrast, the short-side extension member 62 has a posture maintaining function of maintaining the posture of the LED substrate 30 in which the LED package 31 is not in contact with the translucent resin cover 21 by the short-side extension member 62 itself, without depending on the translucent resin cover 21.
[0038] 10A shows a cross section of the light unit 2, and (b) shows a side view. In (b), the light-transmitting resin cover 21 is seen through, and the relationship between the support 23, the LED substrate 30, and the short-side extension member 62 is shown. 10, the short-side direction extension member 62 is provided on the end cover 22, but may be provided on the flat plate portion 230. The short-side direction extension member 62, like the long-side direction extension member 61, has a function of guiding the rotation of the LED board 30 in the rotation direction 36, and further, the short-side direction extension member 62 alone holds the rotated LED board 30 in a position where the LED package 31 is not in contact with the light-transmitting resin cover 21. The short-side extension member 62 in Fig. 10 is composed of a first member 62-1 and a second member 62-2. The first member 62-1 and the second member 62-2 are plate-shaped, but the first member 62-1 and the second member 62-2 may be formed of linear bodies. For example, the first member 62-1 may be formed of a pair of linear bodies. The first member 62-1 and the second member 62-2 are integrally molded and stand upright from the end cover 22 so that they approach each other in the short direction (Y direction) (Figure 10 (a)), and are two standing pieces having flat surfaces with different inclinations. 10 maintains the posture of the LED board 30 so that the light-emitting surface of the LED board 30 that has fallen off the flat plate portion 230 is at a different angle from when the LED board 30 is attached to the support 23. When the lighting device 5 is used in this state, the brightness changes due to a change in the distribution of light passing through the light-transmitting resin cover 21 when the power is on, making it easier for the user of the lighting device 5 to notice an abnormality in the lighting device 5. This significantly increases the likelihood that the user will turn off the power to the lighting device 5 when an abnormality occurs, making it possible to prevent the power from continuing to be on in an abnormal state.
[0039] Fig. 11 shows variations of the short-side extension member 62. Fig. 11(a), (b), (c), and (d) show short-side extension members 62A, 62B, 62C, and 62D as variations of the short-side extension member 62. Variations of the short-side extension member 62 are as follows. The short-side extension member 62A has an arc (curve) shape. The short-side extension members 62B and 62C are formed of two members whose cross sections are linearly connected. The short-side extension member 62D holds the LED board 30 in a state in which it is inverted by 180 degrees. The short-side extension member 62A gently receives the LED board 30 along a curved line. The short-side extension members 62B and 62C hold the LED board 30 at an angle of 45°. The short-side extension members 62B and 62C can hold the LED board 30 at a desired angle. The short-side extension member 62D slides the LED board 30 in the sliding direction 35, and then inverts the LED board 30 by 180°, so that the light-emitting surface of the LED board 30 is inverted and faces directly upward. Therefore, in the case of the short-side extension member 62D, the brightness change in the normal direction is the largest, which is highly effective in making the user more aware of abnormalities.
