Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a terminal and a communication method in a wireless communication system. [Background technology]
[0002] For NR (New Radio) (also known as "5G"), the successor system to LTE (Long Term Evolution), technologies are being considered that satisfy the requirements of a large-capacity system, high-speed data transmission speed, low latency, simultaneous connection of a large number of terminals, low cost, low power consumption, etc. (e.g., Non-Patent Document 1).
[0003] In NR Release 17, the use of higher frequency bands than in previous releases (e.g., Non-Patent Document 2) is being considered. For example, in the frequency band from 52.6 GHz to 71 GHz, applicable numerology including subcarrier spacing and channel bandwidth, physical layer design, and expected interference in actual wireless communication are being considered. [0005] In the newly operated frequency bands that use higher frequencies than before, both channel access with LBT (Listen Before Talk) and channel access without LBT are supported. Information related to LBT must be transmitted from the base station to the terminal in order to execute the LBT settings. However, the method of notifying the terminal of the information related to LBT from the base station was not clear.
[0006] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above points, and is capable of clearly notifying information relating to LBT (Listen before talk) in a wireless communication system. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] According to the disclosed technology, a terminal is provided that has a receiving unit that receives information related to LBT (Listen before talk) from a base station via at least one of system information, RRC (Radio Resource Control) signaling, and DCI (Downlink Control Information) fields, a control unit that determines a channel access procedure based on the information related to the LBT, and a communication unit that executes LBT based on the determined channel access procedure and performs transmission based on a result of the LBT, and when the receiving unit receives the information related to the LBT via the DCI field, obtains information indicating the type of LBT from the DCI field. Effect of the Invention
[0008] According to the disclosed technique, it is possible to clearly notify information related to LBT (Listen before talk) in a wireless communication system. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0010] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the embodiment described below is an example, and the embodiment to which the present invention is applied is not limited to the following embodiment.
[0011] In the operation of the wireless communication system according to the embodiment of the present invention, existing technologies are used as appropriate. However, the existing technologies are, for example, existing LTE, but are not limited to existing LTE. In addition, the term "LTE" used in this specification has a broad meaning including LTE-Advanced and systems after LTE-Advanced (e.g., NR) unless otherwise specified.
[0012] In the embodiment of the present invention described below, terms such as SS (Synchronization signal), PSS (Primary SS), SSS (Secondary SS), PBCH (Physical broadcast channel), PRACH (Physical random access channel), PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel), PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel), PUCCH (Physical Uplink Control Channel), and PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel) used in existing LTE are used. This is for convenience of description, and similar signals, functions, etc. may be called by other names. In addition, the above-mentioned terms in NR correspond to NR-SS, NR-PSS, NR-SSS, NR-PBCH, NR-PRACH, etc. However, even if a signal is used in NR, it is not necessarily specified as "NR-".
[0013] Furthermore, in the embodiment of the present invention, the duplexing method may be a time division duplex (TDD) method, a frequency division duplex (FDD) method, or another method (for example, flexible duplex, etc.).
[0014] Furthermore, in the embodiment of the present invention, when radio parameters, etc. are "configured," this may mean that predetermined values are pre-configured, or that radio parameters notified from base station 10 or terminal 20 are configured.
[0015] Fig. 1 is a diagram showing an example of the configuration of a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Fig. 1, the wireless communication system according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a base station 10 and a terminal 20. Although Fig. 1 shows one base station 10 and one terminal 20, this is an example, and there may be a plurality of each.
[0016] The base station 10 is a communication device that provides one or more cells and performs wireless communication with the terminal 20. The physical resources of a wireless signal are defined in a time domain and a frequency domain, and the time domain may be defined by the number of OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) symbols, and the frequency domain may be defined by the number of subcarriers or the number of resource blocks. The base station 10 transmits a synchronization signal and system information to the terminal 20. The synchronization signal is, for example, NR-PSS and NR-SSS. The system information is, for example, transmitted by NR-PBCH and is also called broadcast information. The synchronization signal and system information may be called SSB (SS / PBCH block). As shown in FIG. 1, the base station 10 transmits a control signal or data to the terminal 20 in DL (Downlink) and receives a control signal or data from the terminal 20 in UL (Uplink). Both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 can transmit and receive signals by performing beamforming. In addition, both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 can apply communication by MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) to DL or UL. In addition, both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may communicate via a secondary cell (SCell: Secondary Cell) and a primary cell (PCell: Primary Cell) by CA (Carrier Aggregation). Furthermore, the terminal 20 may communicate via a primary cell of the base station 10 and a primary secondary cell group cell (PSCell: Primary SCG Cell) of another base station 10 by DC (Dual Connectivity).
[0017] The terminal 20 is a communication device equipped with a wireless communication function, such as a smartphone, a mobile phone, a tablet, a wearable terminal, a communication module for M2M (Machine-to-Machine), etc. As shown in Fig. 1, the terminal 20 receives control signals or data from the base station 10 in DL and transmits control signals or data to the base station 10 in UL, thereby utilizing various communication services provided by the wireless communication system. The terminal 20 also receives various reference signals transmitted from the base station 10, and performs measurement of the propagation path quality based on the reception results of the reference signals.
[0018] FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an example of a frequency range in an embodiment of the present invention. In the NR specifications of 3GPP Release 15 and Release 16, for example, operation of a frequency band of 52.6 GHz or more is being considered. As shown in FIG. 2, FR (Frequency range) 1, which is currently specified for operation, is a frequency band from 410 MHz to 7.125 GHz, SCS (Sub carrier spacing) is 15, 30 or 60 kHz, and the bandwidth is from 5 MHz to 100 MHz. FR2-1 is a frequency band from 24.25 GHz to 52.6 GHz, SCS uses 60, 120 or 240 kHz, and the bandwidth is from 50 MHz to 400 MHz. FR2-2 is a frequency band from 52.6 GHz to 71 GHz. The frequency band to be newly operated may include an unlicensed band, i.e., a band that does not require a license.
[0019] As for regulations in the above-mentioned frequency bands, for example, the CEPT (European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations) has regulations that make LBT (Listen before talk) mandatory. In addition, there are also regulations that require that LBT not be performed. Which regulation is used is determined by the mobility of the terminal 20, for example, whether the terminal 20 is a fixed terminal or a mobile terminal.
[0020] For example, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) does not specify requirements for reducing interference in the 57-71 GHz band. For example, Japanese regulations require carrier sensing before starting transmission with a transmission power exceeding 10 mW. Note that carrier sensing has a mechanism similar to LBT, but the details have not been determined.
[0021] Also, in 3GPP, when the base station 10 or the terminal 20 starts channel occupation, support for both channel access with LBT and channel access without LBT is being considered. Also, as for the LBT mechanism, omni-directional LBT, directional LBT, and a mechanism of LBT type executed by the receiver are being considered.
[0022] In addition, it is being examined whether operational restrictions are necessary for channel access that does not execute LBT. For example, in order to satisfy regulations, it is being examined whether operational restrictions are necessary for channel access that does not execute LBT when ATPC (Automatic Transmit Power Control), DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection), long term sensing, or other interference reduction mechanisms are present.
[0023] In addition, a mechanism or conditions for switching between channel access that performs LBT and channel access that does not perform LBT (assuming that it is permitted by local regulations, for example) are being considered.
[0024] For example, in FR2-2, support for two media access mechanisms, a channel access that executes LBT and a channel access that does not execute LBT, is under consideration.
[0025] For example, support for three types of channel access, namely, no LBT, long-term sensing, and short-term sensing, is being considered. For example, no LBT may be applied when the conditions of EIRP (Equivalent Isotopically Radiated Power), transmission power, channel occupancy duty cycle, spatial multiplexing characteristics, etc. are met. Long-term sensing is an approach that enables beam reuse when many beam collisions occur. Short-term sensing is a kind of LBT.
[0026] For example, there are three types of LBT: 1)-3) shown below.
[0027] 1) LBT in which the sensing period is randomly determined. For example, Type 1 LBT in Release 16NR-U (NR system using unlicensed bands) corresponds to this. Although the possibility of transmission collision between multiple devices is low, there is a delay in the transmission timing due to backoff.
[0028] 2) LBT with a fixed sensing period. For example, Type 2a / 2b LBT in Release 16NR-U. There is a high possibility of collisions between transmissions between multiple devices, but there is little delay in transmission timing because there is no backoff.
[0029] 3) Immediate transmission without sensing, for example Type 2c LBT in Release 16NR-U.
[0030] FIG. 3 is a diagram for explaining an example of LBT (Listen before talk). For example, in FR2-2, i.e., the frequency band from 52.6 GHz to 71 GHz, the CCA (Clear Channel Assessment) procedure defines a period of 8 microseconds + 5 microseconds x random counter as a channel detection period, as shown in FIG. 3. FIG. 3 shows an example in which the random counter is 3 in the first LBT, the channel detection period is 8 + 5 x 3 = 23 microseconds, and a channel busy is detected in the detection period from 14 microseconds to 18 microseconds. Also, in FIG. 3, the second LBT starts from a state in which the random counter, in which the channel busy was detected in the first LBT, is 2, the channel detection period is 8 + 5 x 2 = 18 microseconds, and transmission is started since the channel busy was not detected in the detection period.
[0031] In FR2-2, the channel access procedure shown in 1)-3) below may be executed.
[0032] 1) Type 1 Channel Access Procedure (may also be called Category 3 LBT). Two types of observation slots are defined, one is 8 microseconds and the other is 5 microseconds. In total, a (8+5×N) microsecond observation slot is required before transmission. N is randomly selected from integers between 0 and 3. The channel access procedure shown in Figure 3 corresponds to the Type 1 channel access procedure.
[0033] 2) Type 2 Channel Access Procedure (also called Category 2 LBT). One 8-microsecond measurement period is defined. A total of 8 microseconds of measurement period is required before transmission.
[0034] 3) Type 3 channel access procedure, where no sensing or LBT is performed.
[0035] Note that the type 1 channel access procedure may be called type 1 LBT, the type 2 channel access procedure may be called type 2 LBT, and the type 3 channel access procedure may be called type 3 LBT.
[0036] Also, a mode in which LBT is executed or a mode in which LBT is not executed is set. Both a method of setting a common setting in a cell by SIB and a method of setting by UE-specific RRC setting may be supported. The setting content may be, for example, an LBT mode in which LBT is operated before transmission or a No-LBT mode in which LBT is not operated before transmission. That is, when the LBT mode is set, the terminal 20 may execute LBT before transmission. When the No-LBT mode is set, the terminal 20 may not execute LBT before transmission. The RRC setting may be a setting by RRC signaling.
[0037] Also, the LBT type may be notified by fallback DCI, i.e., DCI formats 0_0 and 1_0. Furthermore, the LBT type may be notified by DCI formats 0_1, 0_2, 1_1, and 1_2. The LBT type may be any of Type 1 LBT (Category 3 LBT), Type 2 LBT (Category 2 LBT), and Type 3 LBT (no LBT).
[0038] Here, the relationship between the settings or notifications related to LBT according to the methods shown below in Method 1) to Method 3) was unclear.
[0039] Method 1) Setting common settings within a cell using SIB Method 2) Method of setting by UE-specific RRC configuration Method 3) Notification via DCI
[0040] Therefore, the number of bits of the LBT-related notification in the DCI is determined, and the terminal operation is determined when multiple or different LBT-related settings or notifications are made by the above method 1) to the above method 3).For example, in the above method 1) to the above method 3), the notified LBT-related setting or notification may be information indicating the LBT mode or No-LBT mode, information indicating the type of LBT, or information regarding the CP extension.
[0041] 4 is a flowchart for explaining an example (1) of notifying information related to LBT in an embodiment of the present invention. In step S11, the terminal 20 determines the number of bits of the DCI field for notifying information related to LBT based on a condition. In the following step S12, the terminal 20 receives DCI based on the determined number of bits.
[0042] The DCI in the flowchart of Figure 4 may be one or more of DCI formats 0_0, 0_1, 0_2, 1_0, 1_1, 1_2, 2_0, 2_1, 2_2, 2_3, 2_4, 2_5, and 2_6.
[0043] The fields in the flowchart of FIG. 4 may be the ChannelAccess-CPext field adopted in NR Release 16 (see Non-Patent Document 3), the ChannelAccess-CPext-CAPC field, or a new field.
[0044] The information related to the LBT in the flowchart of FIG. 4 may be either or both of 1) and 2) shown below.
[0045] 1) The type of LBT, which can be Type 1 (Category 3 LBT), Type 2 (Category 2 LBT), or Type 3 (no LBT).
[0046] 2) Information regarding CP expansion
[0047] The conditions in the flowchart of FIG. 4 may be the conditions shown in 1)-4) below.
[0048] 1) Whether the target band is a licensed band or an unlicensed band. The target band may be the band in which the DCI is transmitted, or the band in which other signals or channels configured or notified by the DCI are transmitted.
[0049] 2) Whether or not LBT before transmission is required in the target band. For example, whether or not LBT before transmission is required may be determined according to local regulations.
[0050] 3) The information related to the LBT set by method 1 above is the specified content.
[0051] 4) The information related to the LBT set by method 2 above is the specified content.
[0052] For example, the number of bits of the ChannelAccess-CPext-CAPC field in DCI format 0_1 may be 2 bits when the LBT mode is set by the above method 1 and / or the above method 2. Also, the number of bits of the ChannelAccess-CPext-CAPC field in DCI format 0_1 may be 1 bit or 2 bits based on the capability report of the terminal when the LBT mode is set by the above method 1 and / or the above method 2. For example, the base station 10 may determine the number of bits of the ChannelAccess-CPext-CAPC field based on the capability report from the terminal 20, and the content of the notification by the bit may be set to different content depending on the content of the capability report of the terminal.
[0053] For example, the number of bits of the ChannelAccess-CPext-CAPC field in DCI format 0_1 may be 0 bits when the No-LBT mode is set in the above method 1 and / or method 2.
[0054] 5 is a flowchart for explaining an example (2) of notifying information related to LBT in an embodiment of the present invention. In step S21, the terminal 20 is set or notified of information related to LBT by a plurality of methods. In the following step S22, the terminal 20 preferentially applies the information related to LBT set or notified by any of the methods.
[0055] For example, information related to the LBT according to the above method 3 may be applied regardless of information related to the LBT that is set or notified by another method (the above method 1 or the above method 2).
[0056] For example, if No-LBT mode is set or notified in the above method 1 and / or method 2, and Type 1 channel access is set or notified in the above method 3, the terminal 20 may perform Type 1 channel access according to the above method 3.
[0057] 6 is a flowchart for explaining an example (3) of notifying information related to LBT in an embodiment of the present invention. In step S31, the terminal 20 is set or notified of information related to LBT by a plurality of methods. In the following step S32, the terminal 20 limits the information related to LBT set or notified by any method based on information related to LBT set or notified by another method.
[0058] For example, the information related to LBT by the above method 3 may not be limited when the information related to LBT set or notified by other methods (the above method 1 or the above method 2) is in LBT mode, and may be limited to Type 3 channel access when in No-LBT mode.
[0059] For example, the terminal 20 does not need to assume that the information related to the LBT notified by the above method 1 and the information related to the LBT notified by the above method 2 are different.
[0060] For example, the terminal 20 may assume that only one of the pieces of information relating to a plurality of LBTs set by the above method 1 and / or the above method 2 is notified by the above method 3.
[0061] 7 is a flowchart for explaining an example (4) of notifying information related to LBT in an embodiment of the present invention. In step S41, the terminal 20 is set or notified of information related to LBT by a plurality of methods. In the following step S42, the terminal 20 determines the information related to LBT to be applied based on the application priority of the information related to LBT that has been set or notified, regardless of the method by which the information has been set or notified.
[0062] Also, in step S42, the terminal 20 may determine information related to the LBT to be applied by a predefined method.
[0063] For example, when the No-LBT mode is set or notified by the above method 1 and / or the above method 2, the terminal 20 does not need to execute LBT, regardless of the LBT-related information set or notified by the above method 3.
[0064] For example, when the LBT mode is set or notified by the above method 1 and / or the above method 2, the terminal 20 may determine the LBT to operate according to the LBT-related information set or notified by the above method 3.
[0065] The embodiment of the present invention may be applicable only to operations in FR2-2 (52.6-71 GHz). The embodiment of the present invention may be applicable only to operations in an unlicensed band included in FR2-2 (52.6-71 GHz). The embodiment of the present invention may be applicable only to cases where it is not necessary to operate LBT or sensing before transmission in FR2-2 (52.6-71 GHz). The embodiment of the present invention may be applicable only to cases where it is not essential to operate LBT or sensing before transmission in FR2-2 (52.6-71 GHz). The embodiment of the present invention may be applicable only to cases where it is necessary to operate LBT or sensing before transmission in FR2-2 (52.6-71 GHz).
[0066] According to the above-described embodiment, the base station 10 can notify the terminal 20 of information related to the LBT. Furthermore, when the terminal 20 receives a plurality of pieces of information related to the LBT, the terminal 20 can apply the appropriate information.
[0067] That is, in a wireless communication system, information related to LBT (Listen before talk) can be clearly notified.
[0068] (Device configuration) Next, a functional configuration example of the base station 10 and the terminal 20 that execute the processes and operations described above will be described. The base station 10 and the terminal 20 include functions for implementing the above-mentioned embodiments. However, the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may each include only a part of the functions in the embodiments.
[0069] <Base station 10> Fig. 8 is a diagram showing an example of a functional configuration of base station 10 in the embodiment of the present invention. [0071] The setting unit 130 stores preset setting information and various setting information to be transmitted to the terminal 20. The content of the setting information is, for example, information related to channel access settings.
[0072] The control unit 140 performs control related to setting of channel access as described in the embodiment. The control unit 240 also controls LBT. The control unit 140 also executes scheduling. The function unit related to signal transmission in the control unit 140 may be included in the transmitting unit 110, and the function unit related to signal reception in the control unit 140 may be included in the receiving unit 120.
[0073] <Terminal 20> Fig. 9 is a diagram showing an example of a functional configuration of terminal 20 in the embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Fig. 9, terminal 20 has transmitting unit 210, receiving unit 220, setting unit 230, and control unit 240. The functional configuration shown in Fig. 9 is merely an example. [0074] The transmitter 210 creates a transmission signal from the transmission data and transmits the transmission signal wirelessly. The receiver 220 wirelessly receives various signals and acquires a higher layer signal from the received physical layer signal. The receiver 220 also has a function of receiving NR-PSS, NR-SSS, NR-PBCH, DL / UL / SL control signals and the like transmitted from the base station 10. For example, the transmitter 210 transmits a PSCCH (Physical Sidelink Control Channel), a PSSCH (Physical Sidelink Shared Channel), a PSDCH (Physical Sidelink Discovery Channel), a PSBCH (Physical Sidelink Broadcast Channel), and the like to another terminal 20 as D2D communication, and the receiver 220 receives the PSCCH, the PSSCH, the PSDCH, or the PSBCH, and the like from the other terminal 20. The transmitter 210 and the receiver 220 may be referred to as a communication unit.
[0075] The setting unit 230 stores various setting information received from the base station 10 by the receiving unit 220. The setting unit 230 also stores setting information that is set in advance. The content of the setting information is, for example, information related to channel access settings.
[0076] The control unit 240 performs control related to setting of channel access as described in the embodiment. The control unit 240 also controls LBT. The function unit related to signal transmission in the control unit 240 may be included in the transmitting unit 210, and the function unit related to signal reception in the control unit 240 may be included in the receiving unit 220.
[0077] (Hardware configuration) The block diagrams (FIGS. 8 and 9) used to explain the above embodiments show functional blocks. These functional blocks (components) are realized by any combination of at least one of hardware and software. Furthermore, the method of realizing each functional block is not particularly limited. That is, each functional block may be realized using one device that is physically or logically combined, or may be realized using two or more devices that are physically or logically separated and directly or indirectly connected (e.g., using wires, wirelessly, etc.) and these multiple devices. The functional blocks may be realized by combining the one device or the multiple devices with software.
[0078] Functions include, but are not limited to, judgment, determination, judgment, calculation, computation, processing, derivation, investigation, search, confirmation, reception, transmission, output, access, resolution, selection, selection, establishment, comparison, assumption, expectation, consideration, broadcasting, notifying, communicating, forwarding, configuring, reconfiguring, allocation, mapping, assignment, etc. For example, a functional block (component) that performs the function of transmission is called a transmitting unit or a transmitter. In either case, as described above, there is no particular limitation on the method of realization.
[0079] For example, the base station 10, the terminal 20, etc. in an embodiment of the present disclosure may function as a computer that performs processing of the wireless communication method of the present disclosure. Fig. 10 is a diagram showing an example of a hardware configuration of the base station 10 and the terminal 20 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The above-mentioned base station 10 and the terminal 20 may be physically configured as a computer device including a processor 1001, a storage device 1002, an auxiliary storage device 1003, a communication device 1004, an input device 1005, an output device 1006, a bus 1007, etc.

[0100] (Summary of the embodiment) As described above, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a terminal is provided which includes a receiving unit that receives information related to LBT (Listen before talk) from a base station via at least one of system information, RRC (Radio Resource Control) signaling, and a DCI (Downlink Control Information) field, a control unit that determines a channel access procedure based on the information related to the LBT, and a communication unit that executes an LBT based on the determined channel access procedure and performs transmission based on a result of the LBT, and when the receiving unit receives the information related to the LBT via the DCI field, a terminal is provided which obtains information indicating a type of LBT from the DCI field.
[0101] With the above configuration, the base station 10 can notify the terminal 20 of information related to LBT. Furthermore, when the terminal 20 receives multiple pieces of information related to LBT, the terminal 20 can apply appropriate information. That is, in the wireless communication system, information related to LBT (Listen before talk) can be clearly notified.
[0102] When the receiving unit receives the information related to the LBT via system information or RRC signaling, the receiving unit acquires information indicating whether or not the LBT is to be executed from the system information or the RRC signaling, and assumes that when the system information or the RRC signaling indicates that the LBT is to be executed, the number of bits in the field is 2, and when the system information or the RRC signaling indicates that the LBT is not to be executed, the number of bits in the field is 0. With this configuration, the base station 10 can notify the terminal 20 of the information related to the LBT. Furthermore, when the terminal 20 receives a plurality of pieces of information related to the LBT, it can apply the appropriate information.
[0103] The control unit may preferentially apply the information related to the LBT notified by any of the system information, the RRC signaling, or the field of the DCI. With this configuration, the base station 10 can notify the terminal 20 of the information related to the LBT. Furthermore, when the terminal 20 receives a plurality of pieces of information related to the LBT, it can apply the appropriate information.
[0104] The control unit may limit the information related to the LBT notified by any of the methods of the system information, the RRC signaling, or the field of the DCI to information related to the LBT notified by any of the methods. With this configuration, the base station 10 can notify the terminal 20 of the information related to the LBT. Furthermore, when the terminal 20 receives a plurality of pieces of information related to the LBT, it can apply the appropriate information.
[0105] The control unit may determine the LBT-related information to be applied regardless of the method by which the LBT-related information is notified. With this configuration, the base station 10 can notify the terminal 20 of the LBT-related information. Furthermore, when the terminal 20 receives a plurality of pieces of LBT-related information, it can apply the appropriate information.
[0106] Also, according to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a communication method in which a terminal executes a receiving procedure of receiving information related to LBT (Listen before talk) from a base station via at least one of system information, RRC (Radio Resource Control) signaling, and a DCI (Downlink Control Information) field, a control procedure of determining a channel access procedure based on the information related to the LBT, a communication procedure of executing an LBT based on the determined channel access procedure and performing transmission based on a result of the LBT, and a procedure of acquiring information indicating a type of LBT from the DCI field when the information related to the LBT is received via the DCI field.
[0107] With the above configuration, the base station 10 can notify the terminal 20 of information related to LBT. Furthermore, when the terminal 20 receives multiple pieces of information related to LBT, the terminal 20 can apply appropriate information. That is, in the wireless communication system, information related to LBT (Listen before talk) can be clearly notified.

[0111] The steps, sequences, flow charts, etc. of each aspect / embodiment described herein may be reordered unless inconsistent. For example, the methods described in this disclosure present elements of various steps using an example order, and are not limited to the particular order presented.
[0112] In this specification, a specific operation performed by the base station 10 may be performed by its upper node in some cases. In a network consisting of one or more network nodes having the base station 10, it is clear that various operations performed for communication with the terminal 20 may be performed by at least one of the base station 10 and other network nodes other than the base station 10 (e.g., MME or S-GW, etc., but are not limited to these). Although the above example illustrates a case where there is one other network node other than the base station 10, the other network node may be a combination of multiple other network nodes (e.g., MME and S-GW).
[0113] The information or signals described in the present disclosure may be output from a higher layer (or a lower layer) to a lower layer (or a higher layer), or may be input / output via multiple network nodes.
[0114] The input and output information may be stored in a specific location (e.g., memory) or may be managed using a management table. The input and output information may be overwritten, updated, or added to. The output information may be deleted. The input information may be transmitted to another device.
[0115] In the present disclosure, the determination may be made based on a value represented by one bit (0 or 1), a Boolean value (true or false), or a numerical comparison (e.g., comparison with a predetermined value).
[0116] Software shall be construed broadly to mean instructions, instruction sets, code, code segments, program code, programs, subprograms, software modules, applications, software applications, software packages, routines, subroutines, objects, executable files, threads of execution, procedures, functions, etc., whether referred to as software, firmware, middleware, microcode, hardware description language, or otherwise.
[0117] Additionally, software, instructions, information, etc. may be transmitted or received over a transmission medium. For example, if the software is transmitted from a website, server, or other remote source using wired and / or wireless technologies (such as coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, twisted pair, Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)), and / or wireless technologies (such as infrared, microwave, etc.), then these wired and / or wireless technologies are included within the definition of transmission media.
[0118] The information, signals, etc. described in this disclosure may be represented using any of a variety of different technologies. For example, the data, instructions, commands, information, signals, bits, symbols, chips, etc. that may be referred to throughout the above description may be represented by voltages, currents, electromagnetic waves, magnetic fields or magnetic particles, optical fields or photons, or any combination thereof.
[0119] In addition, the terms described in this disclosure and the terms necessary for understanding this disclosure may be replaced with terms having the same or similar meanings. For example, at least one of a channel and a symbol may be a signal (signaling). Also, a signal may be a message. Also, a component carrier (CC) may be called a carrier frequency, a cell, a frequency carrier, etc.
[0120] As used in this disclosure, the terms "system" and "network" are used interchangeably.
[0121] In addition, the information, parameters, etc. described in the present disclosure may be represented using absolute values, may be represented using relative values from a predetermined value, or may be represented using other corresponding information. For example, a radio resource may be indicated by an index.
[0122] The names used for the above-mentioned parameters are not limiting in any way. Moreover, the formulas using these parameters may differ from those explicitly disclosed in this disclosure. The various channels (e.g., PUCCH, PDCCH, etc.) and information elements may be identified by any suitable names, and therefore the various names assigned to these various channels and information elements are not limiting in any way.
[0123] In the present disclosure, terms such as "base station (BS)", "wireless base station", "base station device", "fixed station", "NodeB", "eNodeB (eNB)", "gNodeB (gNB)", "access point", "transmission point", "reception point", "transmission / reception point", "cell", "sector", "cell group", "carrier", "component carrier", etc. may be used interchangeably. A base station may also be referred to by terms such as a macro cell, a small cell, a femto cell, a pico cell, etc.
[0124] A base station can accommodate one or more (e.g., three) cells. When a base station accommodates multiple cells, the entire coverage area of the base station can be divided into multiple smaller areas, and each smaller area can also be provided with communication services by a base station subsystem (e.g., a small indoor base station (RRH: Remote Radio Head). The term "cell" or "sector" refers to a part or the entire coverage area of a base station and / or a base station subsystem that provides communication services in this coverage.
[0125] In this disclosure, the terms "Mobile Station (MS)", "user terminal", "User Equipment (UE)", "terminal", etc. may be used interchangeably.
[0126] A mobile station may also be referred to by those skilled in the art as a subscriber station, mobile unit, subscriber unit, wireless unit, remote unit, mobile device, wireless device, wireless communication device, remote device, mobile subscriber station, access terminal, mobile terminal, wireless terminal, remote terminal, handset, user agent, mobile client, client, or some other suitable terminology.
[0127] At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be called a transmitting device, a receiving device, a communication device, etc. At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be a device mounted on a moving body, the moving body itself, etc. The moving body may be a vehicle (e.g., a car, an airplane, etc.), an unmanned moving body (e.g., a drone, an autonomous vehicle, etc.), or a robot (manned or unmanned). At least one of the base station and the mobile station may include a device that does not necessarily move during communication operation. For example, at least one of the base station and the mobile station may be an IoT (Internet of Things) device such as a sensor.
[0128] Furthermore, the base station in the present disclosure may be read as a user terminal. For example, each aspect / embodiment of the present disclosure may be applied to a configuration in which communication between a base station and a user terminal is replaced with communication between a plurality of terminals 20 (which may be called, for example, D2D (Device-to-Device) or V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything)). In this case, the terminal 20 may be configured to have the functions of the base station 10 described above. Furthermore, terms such as "uplink" and "downlink" may be read as terms corresponding to terminal-to-terminal communication (for example, "side"). For example, an uplink channel, a downlink channel, etc. may be read as a side channel.
[0129] Similarly, a user terminal in the present disclosure may be read as a base station. In this case, the base station may be configured to have the functions of the above-mentioned user terminal.
[0130] As used in this disclosure, the terms "determining" and "determining" may encompass a wide variety of actions. "Determining" and "determining" may include, for example, judging, calculating, computing, processing, deriving, investigating, looking up, search, inquiry (e.g., searching in a table, database, or other data structure), ascertaining, and the like. "Determining" and "determining" may also include receiving (e.g., receiving information), transmitting (e.g., sending information), input, output, accessing (e.g., accessing data in a memory), and the like. In addition, "judgment" and "decision" can include considering resolving, selecting, choosing, establishing, comparing, etc., to be a "judgment" or "decision." In other words, "judgment" and "decision" can include considering some action to be a "judgment" or "decision." In addition, "judgment" can be interpreted as "assuming," "expecting," "considering," etc.
[0131] The terms "connected," "coupled," or any variation thereof, refer to any direct or indirect connection or coupling between two or more elements, and may include the presence of one or more intermediate elements between two elements that are "connected" or "coupled" to each other. The coupling or connection between elements may be physical, logical, or a combination thereof. For example, "connected" may be read as "access." As used in this disclosure, two elements may be considered to be "connected" or "coupled" to each other using at least one of one or more wires, cables, and printed electrical connections, as well as electromagnetic energy having wavelengths in the radio frequency range, microwave range, and optical (both visible and invisible) range, as some non-limiting and non-exhaustive examples.
[0132] The reference signal may be abbreviated as RS (Reference Signal) and may be called a pilot depending on the applicable standard.
[0133] As used in this disclosure, the phrase "based on" does not mean "based only on," unless expressly stated otherwise. In other words, the phrase "based on" means both "based only on" and "based at least on."
[0134] Any reference to an element using a designation such as "first," "second," etc., used in this disclosure does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. These designations may be used in this disclosure as a convenient method of distinguishing between two or more elements. Thus, a reference to a first and a second element does not imply that only two elements may be employed or that the first element must precede the second element in some way.
[0135] The "means" in the configuration of each of the above devices may be replaced with "part," "circuit," "device," etc.
[0136] When the terms "include," "including," and variations thereof are used in this disclosure, these terms are intended to be inclusive, similar to the term "comprising." Further, when used in this disclosure, the term "or" is not intended to be an exclusive or.
[0137] A radio frame may be composed of one or more frames in the time domain. Each of the one or more frames in the time domain may be called a subframe. A subframe may further be composed of one or more slots in the time domain. A subframe may have a fixed time length (e.g., 1 ms) that is independent of numerology.
[0138] The numerology may be communication parameters that apply to the transmission and / or reception of a signal or channel, such as, for example, at least one of a subcarrier spacing (SCS), a bandwidth, a symbol length, a cyclic prefix length, a transmission time interval (TTI), a number of symbols per TTI, a radio frame structure, a particular filtering operation that the transceiver performs in the frequency domain, a particular windowing operation that the transceiver performs in the time domain, etc.
[0139] A slot may be composed of one or more symbols (such as an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, a Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) symbol, etc.) in the time domain. A slot may be a time unit based on numerology.
[0140] A slot may include multiple minislots. Each minislot may be composed of one or multiple symbols in the time domain. A minislot may also be called a subslot. A minislot may be composed of fewer symbols than a slot. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted in a time unit larger than a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type A. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted using a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type B.
[0141] A radio frame, a subframe, a slot, a minislot, and a symbol each represent a time unit for transmitting a signal. The radio frame, the subframe, the slot, the minislot, and the symbol may each be referred to by a different name.
[0142] For example, one subframe may be called a transmission time interval (TTI), multiple consecutive subframes may be called a TTI, or one slot or one minislot may be called a TTI. That is, at least one of the subframe and the TTI may be a subframe (1 ms) in the existing LTE, a period shorter than 1 ms (for example, 1-13 symbols), or a period longer than 1 ms. Note that the unit expressing the TTI may be called a slot, a minislot, or the like, instead of a subframe.
[0143] Here, TTI refers to, for example, the minimum time unit for scheduling in wireless communication. For example, in an LTE system, a base station performs scheduling to allocate wireless resources (such as frequency bandwidth and transmission power that can be used by each terminal 20) to each terminal 20 in TTI units. Note that the definition of TTI is not limited to this.
[0144] The TTI may be a transmission time unit for a channel-encoded data packet (transport block), a code block, a code word, etc., or may be a processing unit for scheduling, link adaptation, etc. When a TTI is given, the time interval (e.g., the number of symbols) in which a transport block, a code block, a code word, etc. are actually mapped may be shorter than the TTI.
[0145] In addition, when one slot or one minislot is called TTI, one or more TTIs (i.e., one or more slots or one or more minislots) may be the minimum time unit of scheduling. Also, the number of slots (minislots) constituting the minimum time unit of scheduling may be controlled.
[0146] A TTI having a time length of 1 ms may be called a normal TTI (TTI in LTE Rel. 8-12), a normal TTI, a long TTI, a normal subframe, a normal subframe, a long subframe, a slot, etc. A TTI shorter than a normal TTI may be called a shortened TTI, a short TTI, a partial or fractional TTI, a shortened subframe, a short subframe, a minislot, a subslot, a slot, etc.
[0147] In addition, a long TTI (e.g., a normal TTI, a subframe, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a time length exceeding 1 ms, and a short TTI (e.g., a shortened TTI, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a TTI length shorter than the TTI length of a long TTI and equal to or greater than 1 ms.
[0148] A resource block (RB) is a resource allocation unit in the time domain and the frequency domain, and may include one or more consecutive subcarriers in the frequency domain. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be the same regardless of the numerology, for example, 12. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be determined based on the numerology.
[0149] In addition, the time domain of the RB may include one or more symbols and may be one slot, one minislot, one subframe, or one TTI in length. Each of one TTI, one subframe, etc. may be composed of one or more resource blocks.
[0150] Note that one or more RBs may be called a physical resource block (PRB), a sub-carrier group (SCG), a resource element group (REG), a PRB pair, an RB pair, or the like.
[0151] Furthermore, a resource block may be composed of one or more resource elements (REs). For example, one RE may be a radio resource region of one subcarrier and one symbol.
[0152] A Bandwidth Part (BWP), which may also be referred to as a fractional bandwidth, may represent a subset of contiguous common resource blocks (RBs) for a numerology on a carrier, where the common RBs may be identified by an index of the RBs relative to a common reference point of the carrier. PRBs may be defined in a BWP and numbered within the BWP.
[0153] The BWP may include a BWP for UL (UL BWP) and a BWP for DL (DL BWP). One or more BWPs may be configured for a UE within one carrier.
[0154] At least one of the configured BWPs may be active, and the UE may not expect to transmit or receive a given signal / channel outside the active BWP. Note that the terms "cell", "carrier", etc. in this disclosure may be replaced with "BWP".
[0155] The above-mentioned structures of radio frames, subframes, slots, minislots, symbols, etc. are merely examples. For example, the number of subframes included in a radio frame, the number of slots per subframe or radio frame, the number of minislots included in a slot, the number of symbols and RBs included in a slot or minislot, the number of subcarriers included in an RB, the number of symbols in a TTI, the symbol length, the cyclic prefix (CP) length, etc. may be changed in various ways.
[0156] In this disclosure, where articles have been added due to translation, such as a, an, and the in English, the disclosure may include that the nouns following these articles are in the plural form.
[0157] In the present disclosure, the term "A and B are different" may mean "A and B are different from each other." The term may also mean "A and B are each different from C." Terms such as "separate" and "coupled" may also be interpreted in the same way as "different."
[0158] Each aspect / embodiment described in this disclosure may be used alone, in combination, or switched according to execution. In addition, notification of specific information (e.g., notification that "X is the case") is not limited to being done explicitly, but may be done implicitly (e.g., not notifying the specific information).
[0159] Although the present disclosure has been described in detail above, it is clear to those skilled in the art that the present disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described in the present disclosure. The present disclosure can be implemented in modified and altered forms without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure as defined by the claims. Therefore, the description of the present disclosure is intended to be illustrative and does not have any limiting meaning on the present disclosure. [Explanation of symbols]
