Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an electronic musical instrument and an electronic keyboard instrument. [Background technology]
[0002] Conventionally, there are known electronic keyboard instruments that provide a keystroke sensation and tone similar to that of a real piano, and that have a key cover stored in a housing to cover the keys. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses an electronic keyboard instrument that includes an instrument body, a keyboard section disposed on the instrument body, a surface speaker unit disposed inside the instrument body at the rear of the instrument body, and a fallboard disposed on the instrument body. In this electronic keyboard instrument, the fallboard is made up of a front cover and a rear cover that are rotatably connected, and covers the keyboard section from above in a closed state and opens the keyboard section in an open state to enable playing. [0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2012-145803 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] In the electronic keyboard instrument of the above-mentioned Patent Document 1, the sound emitted from the flat speaker unit to the front side is emitted to the player side through an opening provided in the instrument body. However, since the fallboard is stored inside the instrument body in the open state and the rear end of the keyboard is located below the center position of the flat speaker unit, the sound emission path that passes under the rear end of the fallboard to the keyboard side becomes narrow, and the sound emitted from the flat speaker unit toward the keyboard side is not sufficiently emitted, and there is a risk that a good sound image cannot be obtained. In addition, if sufficient space for sound emission is provided under the rear end of the fallboard, there is a problem that the size of the instrument body becomes large.
[0005] An object of the present invention is to provide an electronic musical instrument and an electronic keyboard instrument that are capable of obtaining a good sound image while saving space in a configuration in which a key cover is stored within a housing. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] The electronic keyboard instrument of the present invention comprises a housing, an operator provided in the housing, a sound emitting member provided within the housing, and a cover member that is stored in and out of the housing between the operator and the sound emitting member and covers the operator when removed from the housing, wherein the inside of the housing is divided by the cover member into a first space on the operator side and a second space on the sound emitting member side when the cover member is stored within the housing, and the housing has a recess exposed to the cover member side within the housing and provided on a plate surface adjacent to the cover member so as to span the first space and the second space. Effect of the Invention
[0007] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an electronic musical instrument and an electronic keyboard instrument that are capable of obtaining a good sound image while saving space in a configuration in which a key cover is stored within a housing. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0009] An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. An electronic keyboard instrument (electronic instrument) 1 shown in FIG. 1 includes a main body 10 and a leg 100. As shown in FIG. 1, the main body 10 includes a keyboard (operator) 20 having a plurality of keys 22 consisting of white keys 22W and black keys 22B, with the keying portion exposed, and a main body case (housing) 30 that surrounds and holds the keyboard 20. The leg 100 includes a pair of side plate members 110, a pedal frame 120, and a pedal device 130. In the following description, the arrangement direction of the plurality of keys 22 of the keyboard 20 is the left-right direction (the left side of FIG. 1 is the left direction), the extension direction of each key 22 is the front-rear direction (the front side of FIG. 1 is the front direction), and the up-down direction of the electronic keyboard instrument 1 is the up-down direction (the upper side of FIG. 1 is the up direction).
[0010] As shown in FIG. 1, the pair of side plate members 110 are plate-like members that are erected on the installation surface on both the left and right sides of the electronic keyboard instrument 1 with both plate surfaces facing the left and right directions, and support the main body case 30. The pedal frame 120 connects the side plate members 110 below each other. The pedal device 130 is provided in the approximate center of the pedal frame 120 in the left and right direction. In the electronic keyboard instrument 1, the main body case 30 of the main body 10 exposed to the outside and each side plate member 110 of the leg 100 are each made of wood, giving them a distinctive texture. The configuration of the main body 10 will be described in detail below.
[0011] As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, the main body case 30 has a horizontally elongated, generally rectangular shape with the left-right direction as viewed from above and below, and includes thick plate-like members, such as a front panel 32, a rear panel 33, a left panel 34, a right panel 35, a front top panel 36F, a rear top panel 36B, and a lower panel (bottom panel) 37, and has a generally L-shaped vertical section (see Fig. 5). Fig. 2 shows a state in which the rear panel 33 has been removed, and Fig. 3 shows a state in which the front top panel 36F and the rear top panel 36B have been removed. The front panel 32 has a generally rectangular shape that is long in the left-right direction, and is provided at the lower part of the front end of the main body 10 and below the keyboard 20 to form the front surface of the main body case 30. A power button 32a is provided at the right end of the front panel 32 (see Fig. 1). The rear panel 33 has a generally rectangular shape that is long in the left-right direction, and is provided at the rear of the main body 10 to form the rear surface of the main body case 30.
[0012] The left side panel 34 and the right side panel 35 are both substantially rectangular in shape and elongated in the front-rear direction, and a step is provided in the substantially central portion in the front-rear direction so that the front side is at substantially the same height as the keyboard 20. The left side panel 34 and the right side panel 35 are provided on the left and right sides of the main body 10, respectively, and constitute the left and right sides of the main body case 30. The front top panel 36F is substantially rectangular in shape and elongated in the left-right direction, and is provided on the front side of the upper rear part of the main body 10, and constitutes a part of the upper surface of the main body case 30. The rear top panel 36B is substantially rectangular in shape and elongated in the left-right direction, and is provided on the rear side of the upper rear part of the main body 10, and constitutes a part of the upper surface of the main body case 30. As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3, a volume panel section 24 on which a volume knob 24a and the like are arranged is provided between the keyboard 20 and the right side panel 35. In addition, a setting panel section 26 on which various setting buttons 26a and the like are arranged is provided between the keyboard 20 and the left side panel 34.
[0013] As shown in Figs. 1 and 5, the rear top panel 36B is attached to the rear panel 33 so as to be rotatable so that the front side opens. A cover plate 11, which is a substantially rectangular plate long in the left-right direction, is provided on the lower side of the rear top panel 36B with both plate surfaces facing the up-down direction. The cover plate 11 is provided with a plurality of substantially rectangular upper openings 11a that open upward at intervals in the left-right direction (see Fig. 5). The upper and side surfaces of the cover plate 11 are covered with a saran net. When the rear top panel 36B is in an open state, the openings on the lower side of the rear top panel 36B are covered by the cover plate 11 so that the inside of the main body case 30 cannot be seen. In addition, a music stand 36F1 is attached to the front top panel 36F at approximately the center in the left-right direction. The lower panel 37 is a substantially rectangular plate long in the left-right direction, and is provided below the main body part 10 to form the lower surface of the main body case 30.
[0014] As shown in Figures 3 and 5, a console member 12, which is a generally rectangular plate long in the left-right direction, is provided behind each key 22 of the keyboard 20 with both plate surfaces facing up and down. The console member 12 is provided so as to cover the rear ends of each key 22 of the keyboard 20 at a position where it overlaps with the front end of the front top plate 36F in the up-down direction. The console member 12 prevents the inside of the main body case 30 from being seen from outside the electronic keyboard instrument 1 through the gap at the rear end of the keyboard 20. In addition, the provision of the console member 12 behind each key 22 restricts the movement of each key 22 in the front-rear direction.
[0015] As shown in FIG. 5, a plurality of first sheet metal members 13, each of which is substantially plate-shaped and extends downward with both plate surfaces facing the front-rear direction, are provided at intervals along the left-right direction at the rear end of the lower surface of the console member 12. The lower end of the first sheet metal member 13 is attached to a lower plate 37. The rear side of the keyboard 20 is fixed to the main body case 30 by the first sheet metal member 13. The space in front of the first sheet metal member 13 is a space provided below the keyboard 20. The lower end of the first sheet metal member 13 is provided with a plurality of notches (not shown). The spaces in front of and behind the first sheet metal member 13 inside the main body case 30 are communicated by the notches provided between the plurality of first sheet metal members 13 and in the first sheet metal member 13.
[0016] As shown in Fig. 5, the main body case 30 has an opening at the front upper side between the front panel 32 and the console member 12, and the upper surface and a part of the front surface, which are the striking surfaces of each key 22 of the keyboard 20, are exposed to the outside from this opening. As shown in Figs. 5 and 6, the main body 10 is provided with a key cover 38 that covers the part of the keyboard 20 that is exposed to the outside. The key cover 38 is a thick plate-like member, and is configured with a front cover part (first cover) 38a and a rear cover part (second cover) 38b, which are substantially rectangular plate-like members elongated in the left-right direction, arranged in parallel from front to back. The front cover part 38a is rotatably connected to a front link member FL fixed to the main body case 30 via a front attachment member 14 having a horizontally elongated shape.
[0017] The rear cover part 38b is rotatably connected to the rear link member BL fixed to the main body case 30 via the horizontally elongated rear mounting member 15. The front cover part 38a and the rear cover part 38b are connected to each other via a hinge so as to be foldable in two, and are stored in and out of the space behind the first sheet metal member 13 inside the main body case 30 through a gap between the console member 12 and an operation plate 18 described later. In this embodiment, the key cover 38 is folded in two and stored inside the main body case 30 in this manner, thereby saving the space of the main body case 30. In addition, two horizontally elongated, substantially rectangular mounting openings (communication holes) 14a that open so as to penetrate the front mounting member 14 are provided on both sides in the left and right direction in a portion (handle portion) near the center of the front mounting member 14 (see FIG. 1, etc.).
[0018] As shown in Fig. 5, the front cover part 38a is stored in the space behind the first sheet metal member 13 in a position that is approximately horizontal to the bottom plate 37, and the rear cover part 38b is stored in the space behind the first sheet metal member 13 in a position that is approximately perpendicular to the bottom plate 37. When the front cover part 38a is stored in the space behind the first sheet metal member 13, the front attachment member 14 is in a position that covers the space between the rear end of the keyboard 20 and the front cover part 38a, and the inside of the main body case 30 cannot be seen from the outside of the electronic keyboard instrument 1 by the front attachment member 14 (concealment function). In the electronic keyboard instrument 1, by pulling the key cover 38 out from inside the main body part 10 after finishing playing, etc., the opening of the main body case 30 where the keyboard 20 is exposed is covered, and the exposed part of the keyboard 20 is covered.
[0019] In the electronic keyboard instrument 1, when the keyboard 20 is covered by the key cover 38, the gap between the console member 12 and the operation plate 18 is covered by the rear attachment member 15. When the power is turned on and the key cover 38 is stored in the space behind the first sheet metal member 13, a small gap is generated between the lower plate 37 and the rear attachment member 15. Therefore, when the key cover 38 is stored, the inside of the main body case 30 is divided into a front space (first space) FS provided on the front side (keyboard 20 side) of the key cover 38 and a rear space (second space) BS provided on the rear side of the key cover 38 (speakers 50R, 50L side described later). In other words, the inside of the main body case 30 is divided into an area on the front side of the key cover 38 and an area on the rear side of the key cover 38. When the key cover 38 is stored in the main body case 30, the attachment opening 14a provides communication between the outside of the main body case 30 and the front space FS.
[0020] As shown in Figs. 5 and 6, a second sheet metal member 16 extending in the left-right direction is attached to the lower surface of the front top plate 36F (not shown in Fig. 3). The second sheet metal member 16 is generally stepped from the lower front side to the upper rear side in the cross-sectional view shown in Fig. 5, and an operation plate 18 having a generally rectangular thick plate shape long in the left-right direction is provided at the front end of the lower part with both plate surfaces facing the front-rear direction. The operation plate 18 is provided between the key cover 38 and the front top plate 36F with gaps opening to the front side on both the top and bottom sides. The operation plate 18 covers most of the space between the key cover 38 and the front top plate 36F so that the rear space BS is not visible. A part of the front surface of the operation plate 18 is a touch panel, and a plurality of switches (not shown) that accept touch operations are provided thereon. For this reason, the operation plate 18 has a touch operation detection mechanism for performing touch operations and an LED illumination mechanism for illuminating the switches.
[0021] A perforated member 40, which is a generally rectangular plate elongated in the left-right direction, is attached to the front end of the upper portion of the generally stepped second sheet metal member 16 by screws with both plate surfaces facing the front-rear direction. The perforated member 40 is made of resin formed by injection molding, and has a plurality of holes penetrating in the plate thickness direction. The perforated member 40 is provided on the second sheet metal member 16 behind the operation plate 18 with a small gap between the perforated member 40 and the operation plate 18 in the front-rear direction. As shown in FIG. 5, a lower portion of the perforated member 40 overlaps with the operation plate 18 in the front-rear direction.
[0022] As shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, the electronic keyboard instrument 1 is provided with two speakers (sound emitting members) 50R, 50L on the rear side of the upper surface of the lower panel 37 in the rear space BS. Both speakers 50R, 50L are provided below and rearward of the keyboard 20, with the sound emitting parts 50R1, 50L1 of a substantially truncated cone being disposed above the lower panel 37. Sound from each sound emitting part 50R1, 50L1 is emitted into the rear space BS. One speaker 50R (hereinafter also referred to as the "right speaker (treble sound emitting member) 50R") is provided at a position toward the right side of the upper surface of the lower panel 37, and corresponds to the emission of high-pitched sounds. The other speaker 50L (hereinafter also referred to as the "left speaker (low-pitched sound-emitting member) 50L") is arranged in parallel with the right speaker 50R in the left-right direction, toward the left side of the upper surface of the lower panel 37, and is capable of emitting low-pitched sound.
[0023] In addition, two reflection members 60 that reflect the sounds emitted from the speakers 50R and 50L are provided in parallel in the left-right direction at a position on the rear side of the upper surface of the lower panel 37 near the center in the left-right direction between the speakers 50R and 50L. Each reflection member 60 has a thick plate-shaped screw-fastened portion 62 that is attached to the upper surface of the lower panel 37 by screwing, and a thick plate-shaped rising portion 64 that rises approximately vertically from one end of the screw-fastened portion 62. The surface of the rising portion 64 of each reflection member 60 that faces the front side is a reflection surface 64a that reflects sound. Each reflection member 60 is arranged with each reflection surface 64a inclined slightly toward the right speaker 50R in the left-right direction. Therefore, at least a part of the sound emitted from the right speaker 50R is reflected forward and approximately toward the center in the left-right direction by each reflection surface 64a.
[0024] 5, a tweeter 70L is provided at a position diagonally above and forward of the left speaker 50L in the rear space BS and on the rear side of the perforated member 40. Although not shown, a tweeter is also provided at a position diagonally above and forward of the right speaker 50R in the rear space BS, on the rear side of the perforated member 40. Each tweeter 70L is substantially cylindrical and is attached to the second sheet metal member 16 via a sub-sheet metal member 17 attached to the inner surface of the second sheet metal member 16, with its column axis direction and sound emission direction facing diagonally upward and forward (towards the perforated member 40).
[0025] As shown in FIG. 3, the lower panel 37 is provided with two upwardly open concave recesses 39R, 39L at positions slightly inside the speakers 50R, 50L in the left-right direction (approximately the center of the lower panel 37 in the left-right direction) and slightly forward of the speakers 50R, 50L in the front-rear direction. The recesses 39R, 39L are exposed to the key cover 38 side in the main body case 30 (in other words, facing the key cover 38) and are provided on the plate surface of the lower panel 37 close to the key cover 38. The openings of the recesses 39R, 39L are approximately rectangular with rounded corners when viewed from above. Hereinafter, the recess 39R provided near the right speaker 50R is also referred to as the right recess (high-pitched recess) 39R, and the recess 39L provided near the left speaker 50L is also referred to as the left recess (low-pitched recess) 39L. The right recess 39R has an opening portion with a left-right dimension larger than the opening portion of the left recess 39L, and is provided with a size slightly larger than that of the left recess 39L.
[0026] As shown in Fig. 3, when the player M is placed at the approximately center in the left-right direction in front of the keyboard 20 and the main body case 30 is viewed in a plan view from above, the recesses 39R, 39L are located on and near the imaginary straight lines VL, VL that pass through the mounting openings 14a and connect the speakers 50R, 50L and the player M. Here, Fig. 4 is an enlarged view of the recesses 39R, 39L and the vicinity of the mounting openings 14a in Fig. 3 (areas surrounded by dashed lines). As shown in Fig. 4, the outer end 39ER of the right recess 39R and the outer end 14ER of the right mounting opening 14a are positioned approximately equal in the left-right direction, and the outer end 39EL of the left recess 39L and the outer end 14EL of the left mounting opening 14a are positioned approximately equal in the left-right direction.
[0027] As shown in Figs. 5 and 6, the inner surface of each recess 39R, 39L is a surface that is approximately perpendicular to the bottom plate 37. Each recess 39R, 39L is provided at a position on the bottom plate 37 that faces the rear cover portion 38b of the key cover 38 when the key cover 38 is stored in the main body case 30, and is provided so as to straddle the front space FS and the rear space BS. In other words, each recess 39R, 39L communicates between the front space FS and the rear space BS when the key cover 38 is stored in the main body case 30. Specifically, the center position CL of each recess 39R, 39L in the front-rear direction approximately coincides with the center position of the rear cover portion 38b of the key cover 38 and the rear attachment member 15 that are oriented approximately perpendicular to the bottom plate 37. The depth dimension D1 of each recess 39R, 39L is approximately half the thickness dimension W1 of the bottom plate 37.
[0028] In this embodiment, at least a part of the sound emitted from the right speaker 50R reaches the front space FS through the right recess 39R, and at least a part of the sound emitted from the left speaker 50L reaches the front space FS through the left recess 39L. Here, high-pitched sounds have a characteristic of being difficult to reach the front side of the main body case 30, and low-pitched sounds have a tendency to reach the front side of the main body case 30. In this embodiment, the right recess 39R is provided to be one size larger than the left recess 39L, so that high-pitched sounds emitted from the right speaker 50R and reaching the front space FS through the right recess 39R are more likely to reach the front space FS than low-pitched sounds emitted from the left speaker 50L and reaching the front space FS through the left recess 39L.
[0029] The recesses 39R, 39L are provided at positions that do not overlap with the speakers 50R, 50L. It is preferable that the recesses 39R, 39L are provided close to the speakers 50R, 50L, but since holes for attaching the speakers 50R, 50L to the lower plate 37 are provided around the speakers 50R, 50L, the recesses 39R, 39L may be provided at a distance that ensures the strength of the lower plate 37. By providing the recesses 39R, 39L close to the speakers 50R, 50L, the sound emitted from the speakers 50R, 50L can easily reach the right recess 39R and the left recess 39L, and the sound emission effect by the sound emission path via the right recess 39R and the left recess 39L can be improved.
[0030] Next, the configuration of each member provided in the front space FS will be described. As shown in Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, a first support member (support member) 80 is provided on the front side of the first sheet metal member 13 in the front space FS. The first support member 80 is provided over substantially the entire area below the keyboard 20, and has a horizontally elongated shape similar to the keyboard 20. The first support member 80 is a hollow member that is open downward. The keyboard 20 is supported by the main body case 30 by the first support member 80 and a second support member 88 described later. The second sheet metal member 16 described above is provided on the rear side of the first support member 80. The recesses 39R and 39L described above are provided to positions that do not overlap with the first support member 80 in the front-rear direction.
[0031] The front end of the first support member 80 is a convex portion 80a that protrudes upward. The portion of the first support member 80 located below the black key 22B of each key 22 is a platform portion 80b that protrudes upward. Between the convex portion 80a and the platform portion 80b is a concave portion 80c that is concave downward. A pivot point portion 80b1 that rotatably supports the rear end portion of each key 22 of the keyboard 20 is provided at the rear portion of the upper surface of the platform portion 80b. In addition, a control board 85 is provided on the upper surface of the platform portion 80b. The control board 85 is provided with a switch so that a sound corresponding to the pressed key 22 is generated. The concave portion 80c is provided with a plurality of concave portion openings 80d that open in the front-rear and up-down directions and are arranged in the left-right direction (see Figs. 3 and 6).
[0032] A plurality of hammer members 84 are provided below the base portion 80b in the space inside the first support member 80, and are connected to the respective keys 22. The hammer members 84 each include a substantially triangular weight portion 84a and an arm portion 84b that extends linearly forward from the weight portion 84a. The arm portion 84b is rotatably supported by a pivot member 86 provided on the front portion of the inside of the base portion 80b. When each key 22 is struck, the weight portion 84a of the hammer members 84 rises, and weight can be applied to each key 22 when it is struck. This provides a striking sensation similar to that of a real piano.
[0033] A second support member 88 arranged on the bottom plate 37 is provided in a portion of the space inside the first support member 80 that is forward of the portion where the hammer member 84 is arranged. The second support member 88 is a hollow member that opens downward, and is attached to the main body case 30 by being screwed to the bottom plate 37. The second support member 88 indirectly supports the keyboard 20 via the first support member 80 with respect to the main body case 30, which is made of wood. A pivot member 86 that supports the arm portion 84b of the hammer member 84 is provided on the second support member 88.
[0034] Next, the communication paths P1 to P4 provided inside the main body case 30 and serving as sound emission paths for sounds emitted from the speakers 50R and 50L will be described. As shown in Fig. 5, in the electronic keyboard instrument 1 of this embodiment, four communication paths P1 to P4 are provided inside the main body case 30 as sound emission paths for sounds emitted from the speakers 50R and 50L to the outside of the main body case 30. The first communication path P1 is a communication path that runs from each speaker 50R and 50L through each recess 39R and 39L to the front space FS, passes below each hammer member 84, exits from the recess opening 80d to the upper side of the first support member 80, and reaches the outside of the main body case 30 from between each key 22.
[0035] The second communication path P2 is a communication path that passes through each of the speakers 50R, 50L to the rear side of the first sheet metal member 13 through each of the recesses 39R, 39L, passes through the rear side of the first sheet metal member 13 to the upper side, and passes through each of the mounting openings 14a to the outside of the main body case 30. In this embodiment, most of the sound emitted to the outside of the main body case 30 through the first communication path P1 and the second communication path P2 passes through each of the recesses 39R, 39L to the front space FS. Therefore, even if the gap between the rear cover portion 38b and the lower plate 37 is small, the sound emitted from each of the speakers 50R, 50L and passing through the first communication path P1 and the second communication path P2 can efficiently reach the front space FS from the rear space BS.
[0036] At least a portion of the sound emitted from the right speaker 50R and passing through the first communication path P1 and the second communication path P2 is reflected toward the right recess 39R by the reflective surfaces 64a of the reflective members 60 arranged at an angle toward the right speaker 50R, passes through the right recess 39R, and reaches the rear side of the first sheet metal member 13. For this reason, high-pitched sounds emitted from the right speaker 50R reach the rear side of the first sheet metal member 13 efficiently.
[0037] The third communication path P3 is a communication path that passes from each speaker 50R, 50L upward through the rear space BS, passes through holes provided in the perforated member 40, and reaches the outside of the main body case 30 through a gap between the operation plate 18 and the front top plate 36F. The sound emitted from each tweeter 70L passes through a hole provided in the perforated member 40 and reaches the outside of the main body case 30, so it passes through a part of the third communication path P3. The fourth communication path P4 is a communication path that passes from each speaker 50R, 50L upward through the rear space BS, and reaches the outside of the main body case 30 through the upper opening 11a of the cover plate 11. In this way, the electronic keyboard instrument 1 has four communication paths P1 to P4 for sound emission, so that a good sound image can be obtained.
[0038] As described above, the electronic keyboard instrument 1 of this embodiment comprises a main body case 30, a keyboard 20 provided in the main body case 30 and having a plurality of keys 22, speakers 50R, 50L provided within the main body case 30, and a key cover 38 that is stored in the main body case 30 between the keyboard 20 and the speakers 50R, 50L so as to be freely inserted and removed, and covers the keyboard 20 when removed from the main body case 30. When the key cover 38 is stored within the main body case 30, the inside of the main body case 30 is divided by the key cover 38 into a front space FS on the keyboard 20 side and a rear space BS on the speakers 50R, 50L side, and the main body case 30 has recesses 39R, 39L that are exposed to the key cover 38 side and are provided on a plate surface adjacent to the key cover 38 so as to straddle the front space FS and the rear space BS.
[0039] In the electronic keyboard instrument 1 of this embodiment configured as described above, even if the gap between the key cover 38 and the lower panel 37 is small when the key cover 38 is stored in the main case 30, a sufficient sound emission path can be secured from the rear space BS, in which the speakers 50R, 50L are provided, to the front space FS, in which the keyboard 20 is provided, by the respective recesses 39R, 39L provided in the lower panel 37, without increasing the size of the main case 30. Therefore, in the electronic keyboard instrument 1, a configuration in which the key cover 38 is stored in the main case 30 can be realized, while saving space and obtaining a good sound image.
[0040] In the electronic keyboard instrument 1 according to this embodiment, the key cover 38 has an attachment opening 14a at the handle portion that communicates the outside of the main body case 30 with the front space FS when the key cover 38 is stored in the main body case 30. With this configuration, a sound emission path is formed in the main body case 30 that runs from the rear space BS in which the speakers 50R, 50L are provided through the recesses 39R, 39L to the front space FS, and then from the attachment opening 14a to the outside of the main body case. This makes it possible to provide a specific configuration of the sound emission path that runs from the rear space BS through the recesses 39R, 39L.
[0041] In addition, in the electronic keyboard instrument 1 according to this embodiment, when the player M is positioned in front of the longitudinal direction (front-rear direction) of the keys 22 of the keyboard 20 and approximately in the center of the arrangement direction (left-right direction) of the keys 22 of the keyboard 20 and the electronic keyboard instrument 1 is viewed in a plan view from above, the mounting openings 14a are provided only on and near the imaginary straight line VL connecting the speakers 50R, 50L and the player M. This ensures the strength, concealment function, and design of the front mounting member 14, and allows the sound from the speakers 50R, 50L to be effectively emitted from the mounting openings 14a through the recesses 39R, 39L toward the player M, in comparison with a configuration in which the mounting openings 14a are provided over approximately the entire area of the front mounting member 14.
[0042] In addition, in the electronic keyboard instrument 1 according to this embodiment, the outer ends 39ER, 39EL of the recesses 39R, 39L and the outer ends 14ER, 14EL of the mounting openings 14a are made substantially equal in the left-right direction. This makes it possible to realize a configuration in which sounds emitted from the speakers 50R, 50L and passing through the recesses 39R, 39L from the rear space BS to the rear side of the first sheet metal member 13 can easily reach the mounting openings 14a, thereby improving the sound emission effect of sounds emitted from the mounting openings 14a to the outside of the main body case 30.
[0043] Moreover, the electronic keyboard instrument 1 according to this embodiment includes a first support member 80 that supports the keyboard 20 relative to the main body case 30, and each recess 39R, 39L is provided at a position that does not overlap with the first support member 80. By providing each recess 39R, 39L with a size as large as possible within the limited space inside the main body case 30 in this way, it is possible to improve the sound emission effect of the sound emitted to the outside of the main body case 30 through each recess 39R, 39L while saving space in the main body case 30. Furthermore, the first support member 80 can be stably fixed to the lower panel 37.
[0044] In the electronic keyboard instrument 1 according to this embodiment, the speakers 50R, 50L include a left speaker 50L that is provided on one side in the left-right direction in the main body case 30 and emits low-pitched sounds, and a right speaker 50R that is provided on the other side in the left-right direction in the main body case 30 and emits high-pitched sounds, and the recesses 39R, 39L include a left recess 39L provided near the left speaker 50L and a right recess 39R provided near the right speaker 50R, and the opening of the right recess 39R is larger than the opening of the left recess 39L. With this configuration, the high-pitched sounds emitted from the right speaker 50R can be made to reach the front side more easily by passing through the right recess 39R with a larger opening. This prevents the volume of the sounds reaching the front side, i.e., the performer's side, from being locally scattered across the left and right (variation in the volume of high and low range sounds), thereby improving the sense of uniformity of the sounds reaching the performer.
[0045] In the electronic keyboard instrument 1 according to this embodiment, the openings of the recesses 39R and 39L are generally rectangular when the electronic keyboard instrument 1 is viewed from above in a plan view. This configuration allows the size of the openings to be larger than when the openings of the recesses 39R and 39L are generally circular. This makes it easier for sound to reach the front space from the rear space BS through the recesses 39R and 39L, and improves the sound emission effect of the sound emitted to the outside of the main body case 30.
[0046] In the electronic keyboard instrument 1 according to the embodiment, the key cover 38 has a front cover part 38a and a rear cover part 38b connected in the longitudinal direction (front-rear direction) of the keys 22 of the keyboard 20, and the front cover part 38a is stored in the main body case 30 in a position where it is substantially horizontal to the bottom plate 37, and the rear cover part 38b is stored in the main body case 30 in a position where it is substantially perpendicular to the bottom plate 37, and the center position in the front-rear direction of each recess 39R, 39L is substantially the same as the center position in the front-rear direction of the rear cover part 38b. With this configuration, in each recess 39R, 39L, the size of the opening of the part that straddles the front space FS and the size of the opening of the part that straddles the rear space BS are substantially equal, so that sound can be efficiently delivered from the rear space BS through each recess 39R, 39L to the front space FS, and the sound emission effect of the sound emitted to the outside of the main body case 30 can be improved.
[0047] In the electronic keyboard instrument 1 according to the embodiment, the depth dimension D1 of each of the recesses 39R, 39L is set to be approximately half the thickness dimension W1 of the lower panel 37. This configuration ensures the strength of the lower panel 37 while ensuring a sound emission path passing through each of the recesses 39R, 39L.
[0048] The above-described embodiments are presented as examples and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention. These novel embodiments can be implemented in various other forms, and various omissions, substitutions, and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention. These embodiments and their modifications are included in the scope and gist of the invention, and are included in the scope of the invention and its equivalents described in the claims.
[0049] For example, in the above embodiment, a configuration in which two speakers are provided on each of the left and right sides of the upper surface of the lower panel, for example, a configuration in which four speakers are provided on each of the left and right sides of the upper surface of the lower panel, for example, may be used. Even with such a configuration, an electronic keyboard instrument capable of obtaining a good sound image can be realized by providing recesses corresponding to the two speakers on each side. Also, for example, in the above embodiment, a configuration in which a recess is provided on the lower panel, for example, is exemplified, but this is not limited thereto. For example, when another plate-like member such as a reinforcing plate is provided on the upper side of the lower panel, the recess may be provided on the plate-like member. Also, when a plurality of plate-like members are provided on the upper side of the lower panel, the recess may be provided on the plate-like member located at the top, i.e., the plate-like member exposed on the key cover side.
