[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a cleaning device having a rotating cleaning body that removes dust and other particles adhering to a surface to be cleaned, such as a floor surface. [Background technology]
[0002] 2. Description of the Related Art There is a known cleaning tool having a rotating brush attached to a base body rotatably connected to the end of a handle (Patent Document 1).
[0003] The cleaning tool described in Patent Document 1 comprises a roughly box-shaped base, a rotating brush, a drive device for driving the rotating brush, a dust storage section for storing dust swept up by the rotation of the rotating brush, a wiping material support bottom for supporting a sheet-like wiping material so that it can be pressed against the surface to be cleaned, and a wiping material fixing section for removably fixing the sheet-like wiping material while it is supported on the wiping material support bottom, and both ends of a bifurcated handle support are attached to the base so as to be able to rotate freely, and a handle is fixed to the handle support. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 3641618 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] However, the cleaning tool described in Patent Document 1 above has a roughly box-shaped base and a dust storage section that are formed as one unit, so when in use, if the handle is lifted so that the base is raised above the surface to be cleaned and the base is tilted so that the rotating brush side is downwards, the dust stored in the dust storage section will stick to the rotating brush or fall out of the base, which is a problem.
[0006] The present invention is devised to solve the above-mentioned problems of the conventional technology, and aims to provide a cleaning device that can prevent dust contained in a dust box from adhering to a rotating brush or spilling out of a housing, and can increase the amount of dust that can be stored in the dust box. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] In order to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, the invention of claim 1 provides a cleaning device for removing dust and other particles adhering to a surface to be cleaned, the cleaning device comprising a housing having an opening on the underside through which dust and other particles pass, a long operating handle fixed to the top of the housing, a rotating cleaning body located inside the housing and supported on a shaft near the opening, a drive mechanism located inside the housing for rotating the rotating cleaning body, and a roughly box-shaped dust box having a collection opening through which dust and other particles scooped up by the rotating cleaning body pass, the dust box being supported on a shaft so as to be rotatable relative to the housing with the collection opening positioned on the rear side of the rotating cleaning body and facing the rotating cleaning body.
[0008] In the invention of claim 1, the dust box is rotatably supported on the housing, so that when the housing is lifted from the surface to be cleaned with the operating handle, the dust box can be tilted so that the side away from the rotating cleaning body is downward due to its own weight, preventing dust contained in the dust box from adhering to the rotating cleaning body or spilling out of the housing. Also, the dust in the dust box can be compressed, so the amount of dust that can be stored can be increased.
[0009] The invention of claim 2 is characterized in that, in the invention of claim 1, the operating handle is fixed via a rotating mechanism having a sliding resistance to the housing, and when the operating handle is grasped and the housing is lifted from the surface to be cleaned, the housing is lifted while maintaining its inclination with respect to the operating handle. This makes it possible to prevent the housing from being excessively inclined with respect to the operating handle, and to stably incline the dust box. In addition, it is possible to prevent shaking or vibration from occurring when the housing is lifted, and to prevent dust from spilling out of the dust box.
[0010] The invention of claim 3 is characterized in that, in the invention of claim 1, the dust box rotates so that the inner bottom surface is approximately parallel to the surface to be cleaned or inclined backward and downward with respect to the surface to be cleaned when the cleaning device is installed on the surface to be cleaned, and rotates so that the inner bottom surface is inclined backward and downward with respect to the horizontal plane when the cleaning device is separated from the surface to be cleaned. This reliably prevents dust contained in the dust box from adhering to the rotating cleaning body or spilling out of the housing. In addition, the dust in the dust box can be compressed, so the amount of dust that can be stored can be increased.
[0011] The invention of claim 4 is the invention of claim 1, wherein when the cleaning device is installed on the surface to be cleaned, a space is formed between the bottom surface of the housing and the outer wall surface of the dust box, and when the cleaning device is separated from the surface to be cleaned, the dust box rotates to collapse the space and bring the bottom surface of the housing into contact with the outer wall surface of the dust box. This allows the dust box to be prevented from rotating with a simple structure and can be prevented from rotating firmly.
[0012] The invention of claim 5 is the invention of claim 4, wherein the housing has a drive chamber that houses a drive mechanism, the drive chamber is formed to protrude downward from the bottom side of the housing, and the cleaning device is characterized in that when the cleaning device is installed on the surface to be cleaned, a space is formed between the bottom surface of the housing located outside the drive chamber and the outer wall surface of the dust box, and when the cleaning device is removed from the surface to be cleaned, the dust box rotates to collapse the space and bring the bottom surface of the housing into contact with the outer wall surface of the dust box. This allows the dust box to be prevented from rotating with a simple structure, and the dust box can be reliably prevented from rotating by being reliably abutted against the bottom surface of the housing.
[0013] The invention of claim 6 is characterized in that in the invention of claim 1, the dust box has a buffer roller at the rear end, and when the cleaning device is vertically separated from the surface to be cleaned, the dust box rotates and the buffer roller is located at the bottom end of the dust box. This prevents the dust box from being damaged because the buffer roller comes into contact first when the cleaning device is placed on the surface to be cleaned. In addition, the rotation of the buffer roller allows the cleaning device to come into contact with the surface to be cleaned smoothly.
[0014] The invention of claim 7 is characterized in that in the invention of claim 1, the dust box and the rotating cleaning body are removably fixed to the housing, and have a locking mechanism that simultaneously fixes the dust box and the rotating cleaning body. This makes it easy to perform maintenance on dust boxes and rotating cleaning bodies that are particularly dirty. In addition, since the dust box and the rotating cleaning body can be simultaneously fixed with one locking mechanism, the effort required for attachment and detachment can be simplified.
[0015] The invention of claim 8 is the invention of claim 1, characterized in that the dust box has a dust box body having a discharge outlet on the bottom surface, and a cover body that is pivotally supported by the dust box body and that opens and closes the discharge outlet. This makes it possible to easily discharge dust contained in the dust box from the bottom surface side.
[0016] The invention of claim 9 is characterized in that in the invention of claim 8, the dust box body and the lid are engaged with each other by an engagement means, and the engagement is released by pressing a lock button provided on the dust box body side constituting the engagement means. This makes it easy to discharge dust contained in the dust box.
[0017] The invention of claim 10 is characterized in that in the invention of claim 9, the engagement means has an elastic member A that biases the lid body toward the open side. This allows the lid body to be opened to the maximum position without relying on its own weight.
[0018] The invention of claim 11 is characterized in that in the invention of claim 9 or 10, the engagement means is provided on the lid body side and is characterized in that it engages with a locking piece that extends in the rotation direction in which the lid body closes, and a regulating piece that is provided on the dust box body side and is biased by an elastic member B in a direction intersecting the rotation direction of the lid body. As a result, the engagement between the dust box body and the lid body will not be released unless the locking button is pressed, so it is possible to prevent dust inside the dust box from spilling out and soiling the surface to be cleaned.
[0019] The invention of claim 12 is characterized in that, in the inventions of claims 1 to 10, the dust box has a movable member that guides dust and the like into the dust box, which is located below the storage opening and near the rotating cleaning body, and the movable member is rotatably supported on the dust box, and when the dust box rotates, the movable member abuts against a regulating member provided on the housing to suppress the rotation and not abut against the rotating cleaning body. This makes it possible to position the movable member near the rotating cleaning body, so that dust and the like can be reliably stored in the dust box, and damage to the rotating cleaning body due to the movable member abutting can be prevented. Effect of the Invention
[0020] The inventions of claims 1 and 3 can prevent dust contained in the dust box from adhering to the rotating cleaning body or spilling out of the housing. Also, since the dust in the dust box can be compressed, the amount of dust that can be stored can be increased. The invention of claim 2 can prevent the housing from tilting excessively relative to the operating handle, and can tilt the dust box stably. Also, it can prevent shaking or vibration from occurring when the housing is lifted, and can prevent dust from spilling out of the dust box.
[0021] The inventions of claims 4 and 5 can prevent the dust box from rotating with a simple structure and can firmly prevent rotation. The invention of claim 6 can prevent the dust box from being damaged and can smoothly contact the cleaning device with the surface to be cleaned.
[0022] The invention of claim 7 allows easy maintenance of the dust box and rotating cleaning body, especially when they are very dirty, and simplifies the work required for attaching and detaching the dust box and rotating cleaning body. The invention of claim 8 allows dust contained in the dust box to be easily discharged from the bottom side.
[0023] The invention of claim 9 allows dust contained in the dust box to be easily discharged. The invention of claim 10 allows the lid to be opened to its maximum position. The invention of claim 11 prevents dust from spilling out of the dust box and soiling the surface to be cleaned. The invention of claim 12 allows a movable member that guides dust into the dust box to be located near the rotating cleaning body, and prevents damage to the rotating cleaning body due to contact with the movable member. [0025] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to this embodiment. FIG. 1(a) is a perspective view showing a cleaning device according to the present invention in a state where it is installed on a surface to be cleaned, and FIG. 1(b) is a perspective view of the cleaning device as viewed from the bottom side. Also, FIG. 1(c) is a bottom view of the cleaning device. FIG. 2(a) is a perspective view showing a cleaning device according to the present invention in a state where it is lifted up from a surface to be cleaned, and FIG. 2(b) is a perspective view of the cleaning device as viewed from the bottom side. FIG. 3(a) is a side view showing a cleaning device according to the present invention in a state where it is installed on a surface to be cleaned, and FIG. 3(b) is a side view showing a cleaning device according to the present invention in a state where it is lifted up from a surface to be cleaned. The cleaning device according to the present invention will be described below with reference to these figures.
[0026] The cleaning device 10 according to the present invention includes a housing 1 having an opening 1a on the underside through which dust and the like pass, a long operating handle 2 fixed to the upper part of the housing 1, a rotary cleaning body 3 located inside the housing 1 and supported by a first rotating shaft 3a near the opening 1a, a drive mechanism 4 located inside the housing 1 for rotating the rotary cleaning body 3, and a roughly box-shaped dust box 5 having a storage opening 5a through which dust and the like picked up by the rotary cleaning body 3 pass. Note that the long operating handle 2 is shown near one end in the drawing, and the other part is cylindrical and has no particular features, so it is omitted. Also, reference numeral 11 in FIG. 2(a) denotes a foot switch for rotating the rotary cleaning body, and reference numeral 12 denotes a locking button for opening a lid body 5g, which will be described later.
[0027] The dust box 5 is pivotally supported by the second pivot shaft 5b with the housing 1 in a state where the storage opening 5a is located at the rear side of the rotary cleaning body 3 and facing the rotary cleaning body 3. The cleaning device 10 according to the present invention is configured such that the dust box 5 is pivotally supported by the housing 1, so that when the housing 1 is lifted from the surface to be cleaned by the operating handle 2, the dust box 5 can be tilted so that the side of the dust box 5 away from the rotary cleaning body 3 is downward due to its own weight, so that dust contained in the dust box 5 can be prevented from adhering to the rotary cleaning body 3 or spilling out of the housing 1. In addition, the dust in the dust box 5 can be compressed by its own weight, so that the amount of dust that can be stored can be increased. The rotary cleaning body 3 can be formed of a brush made of multiple bristles, a blade made of elastomer, a roll made of nonwoven fabric, or the like, and as long as it has a structure that can transfer dust, dirt, and the like on the surface to be cleaned to the inside of the dust box 5, it is included in the present invention.
[0028] The dust box 5 has a buffer roller 6 at the rear end, and when the cleaning device 10 is vertically separated from the surface to be cleaned, the dust box 5 rotates so that the buffer roller 6 is located at the lowest end of the dust box 5 (closest to the surface to be cleaned). This prevents damage to the dust box 5 because the buffer roller 6 comes into contact first when the cleaning device 10 is placed on the surface to be cleaned. Furthermore, the rotation of the buffer roller 6 allows the cleaning device 10 to come into contact with the surface to be cleaned smoothly.
[0029] The dust box 5 and the rotary cleaning body 3 are detachably fixed to the housing 1, and have a locking mechanism 7 that simultaneously fixes the dust box 5 and the rotary cleaning body 3. This allows easy maintenance of the dust box 5 and the rotary cleaning body 3. In addition, the dust box 5 and the rotary cleaning body 3 can be simultaneously fixed by one locking mechanism 7, so that the labor required for attachment and detachment can be simplified. Specifically, the locking mechanism 7 is detachably fixed to the housing 1 by a locking piece 7a, and is fixed to the housing 1 by fitting one end of a first rotating shaft that supports the rotary cleaning body 3 and one end of a second rotating shaft that supports the dust box 5. In addition, the dust box 5 and the rotary cleaning body 3 can be removed from the housing 1 by removing the locking piece 7a from the housing 1.
[0030] The dust box 5 is configured such that when the cleaning device 10 is placed on the surface X to be cleaned, the inner bottom surface 5c rotates so that it is approximately parallel to the surface to be cleaned (see FIG. 3(a)), and when the cleaning device 10 is removed from the surface X to be cleaned, the inner bottom surface 5c rotates so that it is inclined downward and rearward with respect to the horizontal plane (see FIG. 3(b)). Note that by making the diameter of the front wheels 8 of the cleaning device 10 larger than the diameter of the buffer roller 6, it is also possible to rotate the dust box 5 so that the inner bottom surface 5c of the dust box 5 is inclined downward and rearward with respect to the surface to be cleaned when the cleaning device 10 is placed on the surface to be cleaned (not shown), and this is also included in the present invention.
[0031] Fig. 4(a) is a side cross-sectional view showing the cleaning device according to the present invention in a state where it is installed on a surface to be cleaned, and Fig. 4(b) is a side cross-sectional view showing the cleaning device according to the present invention in a state where it is lifted up from the surface to be cleaned. The housing 1 has a drive chamber 4a that houses the drive mechanism 4, and the drive chamber 4a is formed to protrude downward from the bottom surface 1b of the housing 1. When the cleaning device 10 is installed on the surface to be cleaned X (see Fig. 4(a)), a space 9 is formed between the bottom surface 1b of the housing 1 located outside the drive chamber 4a and the outer wall surface 5d of the dust box 5, and when the cleaning device 10 is separated from the surface to be cleaned X (see Fig. 4(b)), the dust box 5 rotates to crush the space 9, so that the bottom surface 1b of the housing 1 and the outer wall surface 5d of the dust box 5 come into contact with each other. The storage opening 5a of the dust box 5 has an inclined surface portion 5i that faces upward toward the rear of the dust box. In addition, a step portion 5j is formed in a direction perpendicular to the inner bottom surface 5c from the upper end of the inclined surface portion 5i. The inclined surface portion 5i and the step portion 5j can also prevent dust contained in the dust box 5 from adhering to the rotating cleaning body 3 or spilling out of the housing 1.
[0032] This allows the dust box 5 to be prevented from rotating with a simple structure and also allows the dust box 5 to be prevented from rotating firmly. The present invention can be applied even if the drive chamber 4a is not formed to protrude downward from the bottom surface 1b of the housing 1.
[0033] Fig. 5(a) is a side cross-sectional view showing the cleaning device according to the present invention (cross-sectional view taken along CC in Fig. 1(a)), and Fig. 5(b) is a side cross-sectional view showing the cleaning device according to the present invention with the operating handle rotated. The operating handle 2 is fixed via a rotating mechanism 2a having a sliding resistance 2b against the housing 1, and when the operating handle 2 is grasped and the housing 1 is lifted from the surface to be cleaned, the housing 1 is lifted while maintaining its inclination relative to the operating handle 2.
[0034] Specifically, the rotating mechanism 2a has a sliding body 2d at one end of the operating handle 2 pivotally supported by a third rotating shaft 2c relative to the housing 1, and recesses 2e and 2f are formed at two locations on the circumferential surface of the sliding body 2d. On the other hand, a spring-biased resistor 2g is provided on the housing 1 side, and the resistor 2g fits into the recess 2e, so that the operating handle 2 is fixed to the housing 1 so that the operating handle 2 is in a normal storage state in which the operating handle 2 is vertical as shown in Fig. 5(a) or in a state suitable for lifting and moving. Also, the resistor 2g fits into the recess 2f, so that the operating handle 2 is fixed to the housing 1 so that the operating handle 2 is in a storage state in which the operating handle 2 is tilted and the housing 1 and the operating handle 2 are leaned against a wall as shown in Fig. 5(b) or in a storage state in which the operating handle 2 is tilted and the housing 1 and the operating handle 2 are laid flat against the surface to be cleaned as shown in Fig. 5(b).
[0035] This prevents the housing 1 from tilting excessively relative to the operating handle 2 during storage, allowing the cleaning device 10 to be placed still. Furthermore, when the cleaning device 10 is lifted and moved, the dust box 5 can be tilted stably, and shaking or vibration caused when the housing 1 is lifted can be prevented, preventing dust from spilling out of the dust box 5.
[0036] Fig. 6(a) is a perspective view showing the cleaning device according to the present invention with the lid open, and Fig. 6(b) is a DD cross-sectional view of Fig. 6(a). The dust box 5 has a dust box body 5f having a discharge outlet 5e on the bottom surface, and a lid 5g that is pivotally supported by the dust box body 5f via a fourth rotating shaft 5h and that covers the discharge outlet 5e in an openable and closable manner. The inclination angle of the lid 5g with respect to the horizontal plane when the lid 5g is open is set to be larger than the inclination angle of the dust box 5 with respect to the horizontal plane when the cleaning device 10 is lifted from the surface to be cleaned.
[0037] The second rotating shaft 5b, the inclined surface 5i, and the step 5j are formed on the dust box body 5f side, and dust accumulated behind the step 5j is discharged to the outside by opening the cover 5g. This allows the dust contained in the dust box 5 to be easily discharged from the bottom side.
[0038] Fig. 7 is an exploded perspective view showing the cleaning device according to the present invention, Fig. 8(a) is a cross-sectional view showing the cleaning device according to the present invention with the lid in a closed state, and Fig. 8(b) is a cross-sectional view showing the cleaning device according to the present invention with the lid in an open state. The engagement between the dust box body and the lid will be described below with reference to these figures.
[0039] In the cleaning device 10 according to the present invention, the dust box body 5f and the lid body 5g are engaged with each other by an engagement means 14, and the engagement is released by pressing a lock button 12 provided on the dust box body 5f side constituting the engagement means 14. This allows dust contained in the dust box 5 to be easily discharged. In addition, the engagement means 14 has an elastic member A13a that biases the lid body 5g toward the opening side. This allows the lid body 5g to be opened to its maximum position without relying on the weight of the lid body 5g.
[0040] The engaging means 14 is provided on the lid body 5g side and is configured to engage with a locking piece 14a having a locking protrusion 15a at its tip extending toward the rotation direction in which the lid body 5g is closed, and a regulating piece 14b provided on the dust box main body 5f side and having a locking groove 15b formed in a circular or elliptical plan view and biased by an elastic member B13b in a direction intersecting the rotation direction of the lid body 5g, specifically, the locking protrusion 15a is configured to be locked in the locking groove 15b. As a result, unless the locking button 12 is pressed, the engagement between the dust box main body 5f and the lid body 5g will not be released, and it is possible to prevent dust from spilling out and soiling the surface to be cleaned in the dust box 5. Furthermore, the cleaning device 10 of the present invention is configured so that the dust box 5 rotates relative to the housing 1, but when the lid body 5g is in the closed state, the longitudinal direction of the locking piece 14a and the longitudinal direction of the regulating piece 14b are configured to be approximately perpendicular to each other, and this does not change even when the dust box 5 rotates relative to the housing 1, so that engagement is ensured.
[0041] The dust box 5 has a movable member 16 with a slope formed thereon, which guides dust and the like into the dust box 5, near the rotating cleaning body 3 under the storage opening 5a. The movable member 16 is pivotally supported by the housing 1 so as to be rotatable relative to the dust box 5. When the dust box 5 rotates, the movable member 16 comes into contact with a regulating member 17 (imaginary dotted line) provided near the side of the housing 1 to suppress the rotation, and does not come into contact with the rotating cleaning body 3. This allows the storage opening 5a of the dust box to be closer to the rotating cleaning body 3, so that dust and the like picked up by the rotating cleaning body 3 can be reliably stored inside the dust box 5. In addition, damage to the rotating cleaning body 3 caused by the movable member 16 coming into contact with the rotating cleaning body 3 when the dust box 5 rotates can be prevented. In addition, since the movable member 16 that guides dust and the like is formed as a part of the dust box 5, cleaning can be easily performed during maintenance of the dust box 5.
[0042] In the cleaning device 10 according to the present invention, the dust box 5 and the movable member 16 are supported on the same axis relative to the housing 1, making it a more efficient structure, but the present invention also includes a case in which each is supported on the housing 1 by a different axis. Also, the restricting member 17 provided on the housing 1 is included in the present invention as long as it is provided within a range where it comes into contact when the movable member 16 rotates, and is not limited to being located near the side surface of the housing 1. [Industrial Applicability]
[0043] The cleaning device according to the present invention is used as a device for removing dust and the like attached to a surface to be cleaned, such as a floor surface. [Explanation of symbols]
