[0010] (Background to this disclosure) 2. Description of the Related Art In projection type image display devices (projectors) and the like, cooling devices are used to cool heat-generating components such as laser light sources.
[0011] Known cooling methods for the cooling device include a method of directly cooling the light source with a fan, a method of bringing a heat sink with heat dissipation fins into contact with the heat generating body and cooling the heat sink with a fan, etc. Furthermore, a method is known in which a heat receiving part thermally connected to the heat generating body and a radiator are combined into a heat sink module using a heat pipe, and the radiator is cooled with a fan.
[0012] Furthermore, some cooling devices use a liquid refrigerant for cooling. In cooling devices that circulate a refrigerant, a highly thermally conductive refrigerant is forcibly circulated by a pump, and heat from the heat receiving part is dissipated by a radiator. Furthermore, some cooling devices improve cooling performance by cooling the radiator with a fan.
[0013] For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a configuration in which one radiator is cooled using one fan and duct. In order to improve the cooling performance of a cooling device configured in this way, it has been considered to arrange multiple radiators.
[0014] However, in a configuration where one radiator is cooled by one fan, as the number of radiators increases, the number of fans also increases, posing the problem that the installation space for the cooling device becomes larger, making it difficult to reduce the size.
[0015] For example, in the case of cooling devices used in projectors and the like, there is a demand for improved cooling performance due to the increase in heat density, while at the same time, there is a demand for space-saving cooling devices used therein due to the miniaturization of projectors and the like.
[0016] Therefore, the present inventors have investigated a cooling device that achieves both space saving and improved cooling performance, and have arrived at the following invention.
[0017] A cooling device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a duct having a first intake port at one end and an exhaust port at the other end, a first radiator disposed inside the duct, a second radiator disposed inside the duct closer to the exhaust port than the first radiator, and an exhaust fan disposed inside the duct closer to the exhaust port than the second radiator, wherein the duct has a second intake port formed between the first radiator and the second radiator, the first radiator cools the refrigerant flowing therethrough with air taken in from the first intake port, the second radiator cools the refrigerant flowing therethrough with a mixture of air that has passed through the first radiator and air taken in from the second intake port, and the temperature of the refrigerant flowing out from the second radiator to the outside is higher than the temperature of the refrigerant flowing out from the first radiator to the outside.
[0018] With this configuration, it is possible to provide a cooling device that achieves both space saving and improved cooling performance.
[0019] The cooling system may further include a first flow path through which the refrigerant flowing out of the first radiator flows into the second radiator, a second flow path through which the refrigerant flowing out of the second radiator flows into the first radiator, and a first heat receiving portion arranged in the first flow path.
[0020] With this configuration, the coolant can be circulated between the two radiators, improving the cooling performance. In addition, since both the first radiator and the second radiator can be cooled by one exhaust fan, further space saving is possible.
[0021] The fuel cell may further include a second heat receiving portion disposed in the second flow path.
[0022] With this configuration, two or more heat sources can be cooled by one cooling device.
[0023] The temperature of the coolant that has passed through the first heat receiving portion in the first flow path may be higher than the temperature of the coolant that has passed through the second heat receiving portion in the second flow path.
[0024] With this configuration, the cooling performance can be further improved.
[0025] The cooling system may further include a third flow path through which the refrigerant flowing out of the first radiator flows back into the first radiator, a third heat receiving portion arranged in the third flow path, a fourth flow path through which the refrigerant flowing out of the second radiator flows back into the second radiator, and a fourth heat receiving portion arranged in the fourth flow path.
[0026] With this configuration, a flow path through which the coolant circulates can be provided in each of the two radiators.
[0027] The temperature of the coolant that has passed through the third heat receiving portion in the third flow path may be higher than the temperature of the coolant that has passed through the fourth heat receiving portion in the fourth flow path.
[0028] With this configuration, the cooling performance can be further improved.
[0029] The amount of air drawn through the second intake port may be less than the amount of air drawn through the first intake port.
[0030] With this configuration, two radiators can be cooled in one duct using one exhaust fan.
[0031] The first radiator and the second radiator may have the same size in a plan view and may have a size that matches the cross section of the air flow path defined by the duct.
[0032] With this configuration, a cooling device that requires less space can be provided.
[0033] A projector according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes any one of the cooling devices described above.
[0034] With this configuration, it is possible to provide a compact projector with improved cooling performance.
[0035] Hereinafter, an embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0036] (Embodiment 1) [Overall configuration] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing a cooling device 100 according to a first embodiment. FIG. 2A is a perspective view of the cooling device 100 of FIG. 1. FIG. 2B is a view of the cooling device 100 of FIG. 2A with the duct 4 omitted. FIG. 2C is a perspective view showing the structure of the duct 4 of the cooling device 100 of FIG. 2A. FIG. 2D is a perspective view of the cooling device 100 of FIG. 2C seen from another direction. In the following description, the X direction in each drawing may be referred to as the vertical direction, the Y direction as the height direction, and the Z direction as the horizontal direction.
[0037] The cooling device 100 is disposed in, for example, a projector or the like to cool a light source. As shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2A, the cooling device 100 includes a duct 4, a first radiator 1, a second radiator 2, and an exhaust fan 3.
[0038] The cooling device 100 also includes a first flow path 7 and a second flow path 8. In the first flow path 7, a first heat receiving portion 10 is disposed.
[0039] <Duct> The duct 4 is formed with a first intake port 13, a second intake port 14, and an exhaust port 15. The duct 4 can be formed of a resin molded product or a metal material such as iron or SUS. The duct 4 defines an air flow path from the first intake port 13 to the exhaust port 15. The first intake port 13 is formed at one end of the duct 4, and the exhaust port 15 is formed at the other end. The second intake port 14 is formed on the side of the duct 4 connecting the first intake port 13 and the exhaust port 15. By driving the exhaust fan 3, air is taken into the duct 4 from the first intake port 13 and the second intake port 14, and the air that has passed through the duct 4 is discharged from the exhaust port 15.
[0040] As shown in Fig. 2A, the duct 4 is formed in a hollow rectangular column shape. As shown in Fig. 2C, the first air intake port 13 is formed in a rectangular shape so that the first radiator 1 is exposed. As shown in Fig. 2D, the exhaust port is formed in a circular shape to match the shape of the exhaust fan 3. In addition, as shown in Fig. 2C, the second air intake ports are formed in a rectangular shape on each of the side surfaces of the duct 4 facing each other in the Z direction.
[0041] Inside the duct 4, a first radiator 1, a second radiator 2, and an exhaust fan 3 are arranged in this order from a first intake port 13 toward an exhaust port 15. Air 16 sucked in from the first intake port 13 of the duct 4 passes through the first radiator 1. Air 18 that has passed through the first radiator 1 is mixed with air 17 sucked in from the second intake port 14, passes through the second radiator 2, and is exhausted from the exhaust port 15.
[0042] As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2A, the duct 4 includes a first duct 4a, a second duct 4b, and a third duct 4c. The duct 4 may be formed by integrally forming the first duct 4a, the second duct 4b, and the third duct 4c. Alternatively, the duct 4 may be formed by combining the first duct 4a, the second duct 4b, and the third duct 4c which are formed separately. The first duct 4a is formed with a first intake port 13 and a second intake port 14. The second duct 4b is formed so as to rectify the air to the second intake port 14 formed in the first duct 4a. The third duct 4c is formed with an exhaust port 15. The third duct 4c and the first duct 4a are joined to define a flow path of air from the first intake port 13 to the exhaust port 15.
[0043] In this embodiment, as shown in Figs. 2A and 2C, two second air intake ports 14 are formed in a rectangular shape on each of the side surfaces of duct 4 that face each other in the lateral direction (X direction).
[0044] <Radiator> The first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 are configured to flow a refrigerant therein and dissipate heat in the refrigerant to the surrounding air. The first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 are disposed inside a duct 4, and perform heat exchange between the refrigerant flowing inside and the air passing through the duct 4. As the refrigerant, an antifreeze solution such as an ethylene glycol aqueous solution or a propylene glycol aqueous solution can be used.
[0045] The first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 are disposed inside the duct 4. The second radiator 2 is disposed inside the duct 4 closer to the exhaust port 15 than the first radiator 1. At this time, the radiators 1, 2 are disposed inside the duct 4 such that the second intake port 14 is located between the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2.
[0046] By arranging the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 inside one duct 4, they can be exhausted together by one exhaust fan 3. In other words, the multiple radiators 1 and 2 can be cooled by one exhaust fan 3. This makes it possible to save the installation space for the cooling device 100.
[0047] 2B, the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 have the same size in a plan view seen from the X direction, and are sized to match the cross section of the air flow path defined by the duct 4. Because the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 have the same size in a plan view, both the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 can be disposed in one duct 4, which contributes to space saving. In addition, because the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 have a size that matches the cross section of the air flow path of the duct 4, the area exposed to the air is increased, and the cooling efficiency can be improved.
[0048] <Exhaust fan> The exhaust fan 3 is a blower that takes in air through the first air intake 13 and the second air intake 14 of the duct 4 and expels the air from the exhaust port 15 of the duct 4. The exhaust fan 3 is disposed closer to the exhaust port 15 of the duct 4 than the second radiator 2.
[0049] <Refrigerant flow path> In this embodiment, the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 are connected by a first flow path 7 and a second flow path 8. Therefore, a circulation flow path is formed in which the coolant flows from the first radiator 1 through the first flow path 7 into the second radiator 2 and returns to the first radiator 1 through the second flow path 8 from the second radiator 2. The coolant can be circulated by a pump 12 shown in FIG. 1. The first flow path 7 and the second flow path 8 can be formed by piping, tubes, or the like.
[0050] The first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 are provided with an inlet and an outlet for the coolant. The outlet of the coolant of the first radiator 1 is connected to one end of the first flow path 7, and the inlet of the coolant of the second radiator 2 is connected to the other end of the first flow path 7. Furthermore, the outlet of the coolant of the second radiator 2 is connected to one end of the second flow path 8, and the inlet of the coolant of the first radiator 1 is connected to the other end of the second flow path 8. Therefore, a coolant circulation flow path is formed in which the coolant flows from the outlet of the first radiator 1 to the first flow path 7, flows from the inlet of the second radiator 2 to the second radiator 2, flows from the outlet of the second radiator 2 to the second flow path 8, and flows from the inlet of the first radiator 1 to the first radiator 1.
[0051] As shown in Fig. 1, in the first radiator 1, the refrigerant cooled by air 16 from the first intake port 13 flows out into the first flow path 7. The refrigerant flowing out from the first radiator 1 passes through the first flow path 7, absorbs heat from an external heat source at the first heat receiving portion 10, and flows into the second radiator 2. In the second radiator 2, the refrigerant is cooled by air that is a mixture of air 17 from the second intake port 14 and air 18 that has cooled the first radiator. The air that has cooled the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 is exhausted to the outside of the duct 4 by the exhaust fan 3 (air 19 in Fig. 1).
[0052] As described above, the first radiator 1 cools the refrigerant flowing therein by air drawn in from the first intake port 13. The second radiator 2 cools the refrigerant flowing therein by air obtained by mixing the air 18 that has passed through the first radiator 1 and the air 17 drawn in from the second intake port 14. As shown in FIG. 2C, the size of the opening of the first intake port 13 is larger than the size of each of the second intake ports 14. The first intake port 13 is formed in a rectangular shape with a size close to the cross section of the air flow path defined by the duct 4. In contrast, each of the second intake ports 14 is preferably formed with a size of about 1 / 6 to 1 / 4 of the first intake port 13.
[0053] As shown in FIG. 2D, exhaust port 15 is formed to have a circular opening in accordance with the shape of exhaust fan 3.
[0054] The air 18 that has passed through the first radiator 1 becomes hotter than the air (air 16, air 17) that is drawn in from outside the duct 4. For this reason, by forming the second air intake 14 to take in air 17 from the outside, mix the air 18 and the air 17, and pass the air through the second radiator 2, it is possible to achieve high cooling performance even when two radiators 1 and 2 are arranged within the duct 4.
[0055] 2C and 2D, in this embodiment, a second duct 4b is provided in the duct 4 so as to cover the second air intake port 14. By providing the second duct 4b, the flow of air taken into the second air intake port 14 can be adjusted.
[0056] The amount of air taken in from the second intake port 14 is smaller than the amount of air taken in from the first intake port 13. In this case, air can be taken in from the second intake port 14 without reducing the amount of air taken in from the first intake port 13. As a result, the refrigerant flowing through the second radiator 2 can be cooled by a mixture of air 18 that has passed through the first radiator 1 and air 17 from the second intake port 14.
[0057] 2B, the cooling device 100 includes a first flow path 7 through which the refrigerant flowing out of the first radiator 1 flows into the second radiator 2, and a second flow path 8 through which the refrigerant flowing out of the second radiator 2 flows into the first radiator 1. A first heat receiving portion 10 is disposed in the first flow path 7.
[0058] By arranging the first flow path 7 and the second flow path 8 in this manner, the coolant flowing out of the first radiator 1 passes through the first flow path 7 and flows into the second radiator 2. Furthermore, the coolant flowing out of the second radiator 2 passes through the second flow path 8 and flows back into the first radiator 1. Since the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 are connected by the two flow paths 7, 8, a circulation flow path that circulates the coolant between the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 is formed.
[0059] 1, in this embodiment, a pump 12 is disposed in the first flow path 7. The coolant can be circulated between the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2 by pumping the coolant with the pump 12. The pump 12 may be disposed in the second flow path 8.
[0060] In this embodiment, as shown in Figures 2A and 2B, a reserve tank 20 is disposed in the first flow path 7. The reserve tank 20 has a gas-liquid separation function for removing air bubbles from the refrigerant. Note that the reserve tank 20 is not an essential component and may not be included in the cooling device 100.
[0061] The first heat receiving portion 10 is thermally connected to a heat source such as an LED light source of a projector or an optical component. The first heat receiving portion 10 receives heat from the heat source by a coolant flowing through the first heat receiving portion 10.
[0062] [Operation] The operation of the cooling device 100 configured as above will be described with reference to FIG.
[0063] (1) By operating the exhaust fan 3, air is drawn in through the first air intake 13 and the second air intake 14 of the duct 4, and the drawn in air is exhausted from the exhaust port 15. While the exhaust fan 3 is operating, air is continuously drawn into the duct 4 through the air intakes 13 and 14, and the air is exhausted outside the duct 4 from the exhaust port 15.
[0064] (2) The refrigerant flowing inside the first radiator 1 is cooled by the air 16 drawn in from the first intake port 13 .
[0065] (3) The refrigerant cooled inside the first radiator 1 flows out of the first radiator 1, passes through the first flow path 7, and flows into the first heat receiving portion 10. At this time, the refrigerant receives heat from a heat source thermally connected to the first heat receiving portion 10.
[0066] (4) The refrigerant that flows out from the first heat receiving portion 10 passes through the first flow path 7 and flows into the second radiator 2 .
[0067] (5) The refrigerant flowing inside the second radiator 2 is cooled by a mixture of the air 18 that has passed through the first radiator 1 and the air 17 that has been drawn in from the second intake port 14 .
[0068] (6) The coolant cooled inside the second radiator 2 flows out of the second radiator 2, passes through the second flow passage 8, and flows back into the first radiator 1.
[0069] While the pump 12 is in operation, steps (2) to (6) are repeated, and the refrigerant circulates between the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2.
[0070] Here, the temperature of the coolant flowing into the second radiator 2 is higher than the temperature of the coolant flowing into the first radiator 1. In (6), the temperature of the coolant flowing out from the second radiator 2 to the outside is higher than the temperature of the coolant flowing out from the first radiator 1 to the outside in (3).
[0071] In this embodiment, the refrigerant cooled in the second radiator 2 flows into the first radiator 1, where it is cooled by air 16 drawn in from the first air intake port 13. Meanwhile, the refrigerant whose heat has been received by the first heat receiving section 10 flows into the second radiator 2, where the refrigerant is cooled by a mixture of air 18 that has passed through the first radiator 1 and air 17 drawn in from the second air intake port 14.
[0072] The air 18 that has passed through the first radiator 1 has a higher temperature than the air 16 from the first intake port 13 and the air 17 from the second intake port. Therefore, the refrigerant that has received heat at the first heat receiving portion 10 is cooled in the second radiator 2 by air that is a mixture of the air 18 that has passed through the first radiator 1 and the air 17 from the second intake port 14. Furthermore, by cooling the refrigerant that has been cooled in the second radiator 2 by the air 16 from the first intake port, which has a lower temperature than the air that is a mixture of the air 17 and the air 18, in the first radiator 1, the cooling performance of the refrigerant can be improved.
[0073] [effect] According to the above-described embodiment, it is possible to provide a cooling device that achieves both space saving and cooling performance, and a projector including the cooling device.
[0074] By disposing the two radiators 1 and 2 inside the duct 4, it is possible to improve the cooling performance while saving installation space. In addition, since the two radiators 1 and 2 can be cooled by one exhaust fan 3, the number of parts of the cooling device 100 can be reduced.
[0075] Furthermore, by mounting the cooling device 100 on a projector, it is possible to provide a compact projector with improved cooling efficiency.
[0076] [Variations] In the first embodiment, an example in which two second intake ports 14 are formed has been described, but the number of second intake ports 14 does not have to be two.
[0077] In addition, in the first embodiment, an example in which the duct 4 is prismatic has been described, but the shape of the duct 4 is not limited to this, and may be any shape that can define an air flow path. Similarly, the shapes of the first air intake port 13 and the exhaust port 15 formed in the duct 4 are not limited to those described above.
[0078] In the first embodiment, the example in which the second duct 4b is provided so as to cover the second intake port 14 has been described, but the second duct 4b is not an essential component.
[0079] Fig. 3A is a perspective view showing a part of a cooling device 100a according to a first modification of the first embodiment. Fig. 3B is a perspective view showing the cooling device 100a of Fig. 3A from a different angle.
[0080] 3A and 3B, the cooling device 100a according to the first modification has second air intakes 14a formed on the lateral sides facing each other in the lateral direction of the duct 4, but does not have a second duct 4b. Depending on the location where the cooling device 100a is installed, the same effect can be achieved even if the second duct 4b is not provided.
[0081] In addition, in the first embodiment, an example has been described in which the second air intake port 14 is formed on each of the side surfaces facing each other in the lateral direction (X direction) of the duct 4, but the position at which the second air intake port 14 is formed is not limited to the side surfaces facing each other in the lateral direction of the duct.
[0082] Fig. 4A is a perspective view showing a part of a cooling device 100b according to a second modification of the first embodiment. Fig. 4B is a perspective view showing the cooling device 100b of Fig. 4A from a different angle.
[0083] In the cooling device 100b according to the second modification, as shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B, Two second air intake ports 14b are formed on each of the opposing side surfaces in the height direction (Y direction) of the duct 4. Depending on the location where the cooling device 100b is disposed, the second air intake port 14 may be formed at a position where air can be efficiently taken in.
[0084] Furthermore, in the first embodiment, an example has been described in which second air intake port 14 is formed in a rectangular shape, but the shape of second air intake port 14 is not limited to this.
[0085] Fig. 5A is a schematic diagram showing the second air intake 14 of the cooling device 100 of the first embodiment. Fig. 5B is a schematic diagram showing the second air intake 14c of the cooling device according to the third modification of the first embodiment. Fig. 5D is a schematic diagram showing the second air intake 14e of the cooling device according to the fifth modification of the first embodiment.
[0086] As shown in FIG. 5A, in the cooling device 100 of embodiment 1, a rectangular second air intake port 14 is formed, whereas in the cooling device of variant example 3 shown in FIG. 5B, the second air intake port 14 is formed by combining three rectangular openings to form the second air intake port 14c.
[0087] Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 5C, second air intake port 14d may be formed by arranging multiple small circular openings in a row, or as shown in FIG. 5D, second air intake port 14e may be formed by arranging multiple small circular openings in two rows.
[0088] (Embodiment 2) A cooling device 110 according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure will be described.
[0089] In the second embodiment, differences from the first embodiment will be mainly described. In the second embodiment, the same or equivalent configurations as those in the first embodiment will be denoted by the same reference numerals. Also, in the second embodiment, descriptions that overlap with those in the first embodiment will be omitted.
[0090] Fig. 6A is a perspective view showing a part of cooling device 110 according to embodiment 2. Fig. 6B is a plan view of a part of cooling device 110 of Fig. 6A.
[0091] In the second embodiment, as shown in Figures 6A and 6B, the shape of the duct 40 is different from that in the first embodiment. The duct 40 includes an intake duct 40a and an exhaust duct 40c.
[0092] In the cooling device 100, the intake duct 40a of the duct 40 is formed in a trapezoidal shape when viewed from the Y direction. The first intake port 13 is formed toward the Z direction, and the exhaust port 15 is formed toward the X direction. The second intake ports 114 are formed on two surfaces of the duct 40 that face each other in the height direction (Y direction). Note that one of the two second intake ports 14, the second intake port 114, is omitted in FIGS. 6A and 6B.
[0093] 6B, the first radiator 1 is disposed so as to face the first intake port 13. The second radiator 2 is disposed so as to face the exhaust port 15.
[0094] Therefore, air taken into duct 40 in the Z direction passes through intake duct 40a and is exhausted in the X direction from exhaust port 15. By forming duct 40 in this shape, it is possible to change the direction of intake into duct 40 and exhaust from duct 40. Since the direction of intake and exhaust can be changed, for example, it is possible to place cooling device 110 in a corner inside the projector, or to increase the variety of positions for placing cooling device 110.
[0095] In addition, since the intake duct 40a is formed in a trapezoidal shape in a plan view, the volume of the duct can be reduced, which further reduces the installation space.
[0096] [effect] According to the above-described embodiment, it is possible to improve the cooling performance and further reduce the space required.
[0097] [Variations] Fig. 7A is a perspective view showing a part of a cooling device 110a according to a modified example of embodiment 2. Fig. 7B is a plan view of a part of the cooling device 110a of Fig. 7A.
[0098] 7A and 7B, the cooling device 110a may be provided with a second duct 40b. By providing the second duct 40b, the flow of air taken in from the second intake port 114 can be adjusted.
[0099] (Embodiment 3) A cooling device 200 according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure will be described.
[0100] In the third embodiment, differences from the first embodiment will be mainly described. In the third embodiment, the same or equivalent configurations as those in the first embodiment will be denoted by the same reference numerals. Also, in the third embodiment, descriptions that overlap with those in the first embodiment will be omitted.
[0101] Fig. 8 is a schematic diagram showing a cooling device 200 according to a third embodiment. Fig. 9A is a perspective view of the cooling device 200 of Fig. 8. Fig. 9B is a diagram in which the duct 4 of the cooling device 200 of Fig. 9A is omitted.
[0102] 8, 9A, and 9B, the third embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that a second heat receiving portion 11 is disposed in the second flow path 208. That is, in the cooling device 200 of the third embodiment, two heat receiving portions, a first heat receiving portion 10 and a second heat receiving portion 11, are disposed.
[0103] In the first radiator 1, the refrigerant cooled by the air 16 from the first intake port 13 passes through the first flow path 7 and recovers heat from the heat source at the first heat receiving section 10. The refrigerant that has recovered heat flows into the second radiator 2. In the second radiator 2, the refrigerant is cooled by air that is a mixture of the air 18 that has passed through the first radiator 1 and the air 17 that has been taken in from the second intake port 14. The refrigerant cooled in the second radiator 2 flows out into the second flow path 208, recovers heat from the heat source at the second heat receiving section 11, and flows back into the first radiator 1.
[0104] In the first radiator 1, the refrigerant is cooled only by air 16 drawn in from the first intake port 13, i.e., air 16 outside the duct 4. On the other hand, in the second radiator 2, the refrigerant is cooled by a mixture of air 18 whose temperature has increased by passing through the first radiator 1 and air 17 drawn in from the second intake port 14, i.e., air 17 outside the duct 4.
[0105] Therefore, it is preferable that the temperature of the heat source connected to the first heat receiving portion 10 is higher than the temperature of the heat source connected to the second heat receiving portion 11. In other words, it is preferable that the temperature of the refrigerant that has passed through the first heat receiving portion 10 in the first flow path 7 is higher than the temperature of the refrigerant that has passed through the second heat receiving portion 11 in the second flow path 208. In this case, the cooling efficiency for the heat source can be improved.
[0106] [effect] According to the embodiment described above, even when a plurality of heat receiving portions 10, 11 are arranged, it is possible to provide the cooling device 200 that achieves both space saving and improved cooling performance.
[0107] (Embodiment 4) A cooling device 300 according to a fourth embodiment of the present disclosure will be described.
[0108] Fig. 10 is a schematic diagram showing a cooling device 300 according to a fourth embodiment. Fig. 11A is a perspective view of the cooling device 300 in Fig. 10. Fig. 11B is a diagram in which the duct 4 of the cooling device 100 in Fig. 11A is omitted. Note that the exhaust duct is omitted in Fig. 11A.
[0109] In the fourth embodiment, differences from the first embodiment will be mainly described. In the fourth embodiment, the same or equivalent configurations as those in the first embodiment will be denoted by the same reference numerals. Also, in the fourth embodiment, descriptions that overlap with those in the first embodiment will be omitted.
[0110] The fourth embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that it has a third flow path 27 through which the refrigerant flowing out of the first radiator 1 flows back into the first radiator 1, and a fourth flow path 28 through which the refrigerant flowing out of the second radiator 2 flows back into the second radiator 2. A third heat receiving portion 30 is disposed in the third flow path 27, and a fourth heat receiving portion 31 is disposed in the fourth flow path 28.
[0111] As shown in Figures 10, 11A, and 11B, pumps 21 and 22 are disposed in the third flow path 27 and the fourth flow path 28, respectively. Therefore, the refrigerant flowing out from the first radiator 1 to the third flow path 27 passes through the third heat receiving portion 30 and flows back into the first radiator 1. Similarly, the refrigerant flowing out from the second radiator 2 to the fourth flow path 28 passes through the fourth heat receiving portion 31 and flows back into the second radiator 2. That is, separate circulation paths are formed for the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2, and the third heat receiving portion 30 corresponds to the first radiator 1, and the fourth heat receiving portion 31 corresponds to the second radiator 2.
[0112] In the first radiator 1, the refrigerant is cooled only by air 16 drawn in from the first intake port 13, i.e., air 16 outside the duct 4. On the other hand, in the second radiator 2, the refrigerant is cooled by a mixture of air 18 whose temperature has increased by passing through the first radiator 1 and air 17 drawn in from the second intake port 14, i.e., air 17 outside the duct 4.
[0113] Therefore, the temperature of the heat source connected to the fourth heat receiving section 31 should be higher than the temperature of the heat source connected to the third heat receiving section 30. That is, the temperature of the refrigerant that has passed through the fourth heat receiving section 31 in the fourth flow path 28 should be higher than the temperature of the refrigerant that has passed through the third heat receiving section 30 in the third flow path 27. In this case, the cooling efficiency for the heat source can be improved.
[0114] [effect] According to the embodiment described above, separate coolant circulation paths are formed in the first radiator 1 and the second radiator 2. This makes it possible to improve the cooling performance while saving space.
[0115] Although the present invention has been fully described in connection with the preferred embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings, various changes and modifications will become apparent to those skilled in the art, and such changes and modifications are to be understood as being included within the scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims unless they depart therefrom. [Industrial Applicability]
