Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present disclosure relates to fasteners. [Background technology]

[0002] A fastener is known in which an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder with different diameters are arranged coaxially and an elastic body is attached between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a mount insulator unit equipped with a stopper that regulates the relative axial change between the outer tube and the inner tube caused by deformation of an elastic body attached between the outer tube and the inner tube of the mount insulator. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2001-330067 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] The mount insulator unit disclosed in Patent Document 1 has a stopper that is press-fitted between an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder. Since there is no gap between the radial outside of the outer cylinder and the stopper, the movement of the elastic body between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction is restricted. This causes a problem in which the vibration damping effect of the elastic body cannot be sufficiently obtained.

[0005] One aspect of the present disclosure is to improve the vibration damping of a fastener. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] One aspect of the present disclosure is a fastener for fastening a first member and a second member disposed on the first member, the fastener comprising an inner tube, an outer tube, an elastic member, and a fixing member. The inner tube is a cylindrical member having an insertion hole formed so as to pass through in the axial direction, through which a fastening component can be inserted. The outer tube is a cylindrical member extending in the axial direction, and is disposed so as to surround the outer circumferential surface of the inner tube. The elastic member is disposed between the outer circumferential surface of the inner tube and the inner circumferential surface of the outer tube. The fixing member has a clamping portion that covers the end faces of the elastic member and the outer tube on the tip side in the axial direction and abuts against the end faces of the outer tube, and a restricting portion that extends from a rear end surface of the clamping portion that is opposite to the tip side in the axial direction toward the rear end side in the axial direction. The restricting portion is provided radially outward of the outer tube with a gap between the fixing member and the outer tube.

[0007] The first member has a fastening hole at its axial tip end, through which a fastening component can be fastened. The second member has a through hole passing through in the axial direction. The inner tube and the outer tube are arranged on the tip end surface of the first member so that when the second member is arranged on the tip end surface of the first member, the through hole of the second member communicates with the fastening hole, and further, the insertion hole communicates with the fastening hole.

[0008] The inner tube is configured to be fixed to the first member in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction when the fastening part is inserted into the insertion hole and further fastened to the fastening hole. When the fastening part is fastened to the fastening hole, the clamping part restricts the displacement of the outer tube in the axial direction by the surface at the tip side of the clamping part abutting against the fastening part, and the outer tube is arranged so as to be slidable in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction. The fastener is configured to fasten the first member and the second member by restricting the displacement of the second member relative to the first member through the inner tube, the elastic member, the outer tube, and the fixing member arranged to pass through the through hole when the inner tube is fixed to the first member through the fastening part.

[0009] According to this configuration, since the outer cylinder is slidable in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction, the elastic member is deformable in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction, so that vibration generated from the first member is transmitted to the outer cylinder and the elastic member, and the vibration damping effect of the fastener due to the deformation of the elastic member can be improved.

[0010] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the restricting portion may be provided so as to abut against the second member. According to this configuration, the axial movement of the second member can be restricted by the restricting portion.

[0011] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, an end portion on the rear end side of the outer circumferential surface of the outer cylinder may be joined to an edge portion that forms the through hole in the second member. According to this configuration, vibrations transmitted from the first member to the second member are transmitted by the elastic member via the outer cylinder, so that the vibration damping effect of the fastener due to deformation of the elastic member can be improved.

[0012] In one aspect of the present disclosure, the tip end face of the inner tube is located axially further toward the tip end face of the outer tube and may abut against the fastening part when the fastening part is fastened into the fastening hole.

[0013] With this configuration, the axial movement of the inner cylinder can be restricted. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0015] Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. [1. First embodiment] [1-1. Configuration] [1-1-1. Fastener configuration] The fastener 1 shown in FIG. 1 is a member that fastens an exhaust part 6 and a stay 7, which are mounted on a vehicle such as an automobile, together with a bolt 8.

[0016] The fastener 1 comprises an inner tube 2, an elastic member 3, an outer tube 4, and a fixing member 5. The inner tube 2 is a tubular, for example cylindrical, member in which an insertion hole 21, through which the bolt 8 can be inserted, is formed so as to pass through in the direction of the axis A (hereinafter referred to as the axial direction A). Hereinafter, in the axial direction A, when the fastener 1 is fastened to the exhaust part 6 together with the bolt 8, the side of the head 81 of the bolt 8 relative to the fastener 1 is referred to as the "front end side", and the side opposite to the front end side (in other words, the exhaust part 6 side relative to the fastener 1) is referred to as the "rear end side".

[0017] The outer cylinder 4 is a tubular, for example cylindrical, member extending in the axial direction A. The outer cylinder 4 is disposed so as to surround the outer circumferential surface of the inner cylinder 2. At least a portion of the inner cylinder 2 and the outer cylinder 4 forms a double pipe portion.

[0018] The elastic member 3 is an expandable member disposed between the outer peripheral surface of the inner tube 2 and the inner peripheral surface of the outer tube 4. Examples of the elastic member 3 include rubber and metal such as wire mesh. No gap is formed between the elastic member 3 and the inner tube 2, and between the elastic member 3 and the outer tube 4. In this embodiment, the elastic member 3 is a tubular, for example cylindrical, member extending in the axial direction A, and is disposed between the inner tube 2 and the outer tube 4 so as to surround the outer peripheral surface of the inner tube 2.

[0019] The fixing member 5 includes a clamping portion 51 and a restricting portion 52 . The clamping portion 51 is a plate-shaped portion that covers the end faces of the elastic member 3 and the outer tube 4 on the tip side in the axial direction A and abuts against the end face of the outer tube 4. In this embodiment, the clamping portion 51 is disk-shaped. A fitting hole 53 is formed in the clamping portion 51, penetrating in the axial direction A. The tip side end of the inner tube 2 fits into the fitting hole 53. The inner tube 2 and the fixing member 5 may be joined via the fitting hole 53.

[0020] The restricting portion 52 is a portion formed near the outer periphery of the clamping portion 51, and is a tubular, for example, cylindrical portion extending from a surface of the clamping portion 51 on the rear end side in the axial direction A toward the rear end side in the axial direction A. The restricting portion 52 is provided on the radially outer side of the outer tube 4 with a gap 9 between it and the outer tube 4.

[0021] The inner cylinder 2, the outer cylinder 4 and the fixing member 5 are made of a material such as metal or resin. An end face of the inner cylinder 2 on the tip side in the axial direction A and a surface of the clamping portion 51 on the tip side in the axial direction A are positioned on the same plane perpendicular to the axial direction A.

[0022] The end faces of the elastic member 3 and the outer tube 4 on the tip side in the axial direction A abut against the surface of the clamping portion 51 on the rear end side in the axial direction A. In other words, the end face of the inner tube 2 on the tip side in the axial direction A is located closer to the tip side in the axial direction A than the end face of the outer tube 4 on the tip side in the axial direction A. Note that this end face of the elastic member 3 may be located closer to the rear end side in the axial direction A than the end face of the outer tube 4. In other words, there may be a gap between the end face of the elastic member 3 and the clamping portion 51.

[0023] The end faces of the inner tube 2, the elastic member 3 and the outer tube 4 on the rear end side in the axial direction A are located on the same plane perpendicular to the axial direction A. These end faces are located closer to the rear end side in the axial direction A than the end face of the restricting portion 52 on the rear end side in the axial direction A.

[0024] [1-1-2. Configuration when exhaust parts and stays are fastened with fasteners and bolts] As shown in FIG. 2, the fastener 1 fastens a stay 7 disposed on an exhaust component 6 together with a bolt 8.

[0025] The exhaust part 6 has a fastening hole 61 at the tip side in the axial direction A, into which the bolt 8 can be fastened. The fastening hole 61 has a thread that screws into the bolt 8. The fastening hole 61 may or may not penetrate the exhaust part 6. Examples of the exhaust part 6 include an exhaust manifold, a catalytic converter case, and a silencer shell. Note that the object to be fastened is not limited to the exhaust part 6, and may be, for example, a vehicle body.

[0026] The stay 7 has a through hole 71 penetrating in the axial direction A. The stay 7 is disposed on a surface of the exhaust component 6 on the tip side in the axial direction A so that the fastening hole 61 and the through hole 71 communicate with each other. The stay 7 fixes a component mounted on the vehicle or a component attached to the vehicle body.

[0027] The inner tube 2, the elastic member 3, and the outer tube 4 are arranged on the surface of the front end side of the exhaust part 6 so as to pass through the through hole 71 of the stay 7. The inner tube 2, the elastic member 3, and the outer tube 4 are particularly arranged so that the insertion hole 21 of the inner tube 2 communicates with the fastening hole 61 of the exhaust part 6. The end faces on the rear end side in the axial direction A of the inner tube 2, the elastic member 3, and the outer tube 4 abut against the surface of the front end side of the exhaust part 6 in the axial direction A.

[0028] The rear end of the outer circumferential surface of the outer tube 4 is joined to an edge 72 that forms the through hole 71 in the stay 7. In other words, the outer tube 4 and the stay 7 are joined in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction A. Examples of joining include welding and adhesive bonding. The joining is performed before the bolt 8 is fastened to the fastening hole 61. Note that in the case of joining by adhesive bonding, the joining may be performed simultaneously with fastening the bolt 8 to the fastening hole 61.

[0029] The restricting portion 52 of the fixed member 5 comes into contact with a surface of the stay 7 on the tip side in the axial direction A. The bolt 8 is inserted into the insertion hole 21 of the inner tube 2 and fastened to the fastening hole 61 of the exhaust part 6. The head 81 of the bolt 8 is larger in a plane perpendicular to the axial direction A than the shaft portion of the bolt 8, and abuts against the inner tube 2 and the surface of the clamping portion 51 of the fixing member 5 on the tip side in the axial direction A.

[0030] By fastening the bolts 8 to the fastening holes 61 of the exhaust component 6, the inner tube 2 is fixed in the axial direction A and in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction A. Furthermore, the displacement of the outer tube 4, the fixed member 5, and the stay 7 in the axial direction A is restricted. The surface of the outer tube 4 on the tip side in the axial direction A abuts against the clamping portion 51 of the fixed member 5. The surface of the stay 7 on the tip side in the axial direction A abuts against the restricting portion 52 of the fixed member 5. The displacement of the outer tube 4 and the stay 7 in the axial direction A is restricted by the fixed member 5, but the outer tube 4 and the stay 7 are slidable in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction A.

[0031] As described above, when the inner tube 2 is fixed to the exhaust part 6 through the bolt 8, the fastener 1 limits the displacement of the stay 7 relative to the exhaust part 6 through the inner tube 2, the elastic member 3, the outer tube 4, and the fixing member 5, which are arranged to pass through the through hole 71. By this limitation, the fastener 1 fastens the exhaust part 6 and the stay 7 together.

[0032] [1-2. Actions and Effects] According to the embodiment described above in detail, the following actions and effects can be obtained. (1a) A gap 9 is provided between the outer tube 4 and the restricting portion 52. When the bolt 8 is fastened to the fastening hole 61 of the exhaust part 6, the inner tube 2 is fixed in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction A, and the outer tube 4 and the stay 7 are slidable in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction A. The elastic member 3 disposed between the inner tube 2 and the outer tube 4 is expandable and contractable in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction A.

[0033] According to this configuration, as shown in FIG. 3, when vibration is generated by the exhaust part 6 in the direction B perpendicular to the axial direction A, the outer tube 4 and the stay 7 slide in the direction B. The part 3a of the elastic member 3 located at the rear end side of the direction B with respect to the inner tube 2 is compressed by the sliding of the outer tube 4 in the direction B. On the other hand, the part 3b of the elastic member 3 located at the front end side of the direction B with respect to the inner tube 2 is expanded by the sliding of the outer tube 4 in the direction B. This expansion and contraction of the elastic member 3 can provide a vibration damping effect. That is, when the part 3a of the elastic member 3 is compressed, the restoring force of the elastic member 3 exerts a force that pushes the part 3a to the outer tube 4 with a force in the opposite direction to the direction B. Also, when the elastic member 3 and the outer tube 4 are joined and the part 3b of the elastic member 3 expands, the restoring force of the elastic member 3 exerts a force that pulls the part 3b with a force in the opposite direction to the direction B. When the elastic member 3 is not joined between the inner tube 2 and the outer tube 4, the portion 3b of the elastic member 3 located on the tip side in the direction B with respect to the inner tube 2 does not expand.

[0034] (1b) When the bolt 8 is fastened into the fastening hole 61 of the exhaust part 6, the head 81 of the bolt 8 abuts against the inner tube 2 and the surface on the tip side in the axial direction A of the clamping portion 51 of the fixed member 5. The surface on the tip side in the axial direction A of the outer tube 4 abuts against the clamping portion 51 of the fixed member 5. The surface on the tip side in the axial direction A of the stay 7 abuts against the regulating portion 52 of the fixed member 5. In other words, the joined outer tube 4 and stay 7 abut against the fixed member 5 at two points, the clamping portion 51 and the regulating portion 52. The surfaces on the rear end side in the axial direction A of the inner tube 2, the outer tube 4 and the stay 7 abut against the exhaust part 6.

[0035] According to this configuration, the inner tube 2 can be fixed in the axial direction A and in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction A. Furthermore, the displacement of the outer tube 4 and the stay 7 in the axial direction A can be restricted by the fixing member 5, and further, the relative change in the axial direction A with respect to the inner tube 2 can be restricted.

[0036] [1-3. Correspondence between terms] In the first embodiment, the exhaust component 6 corresponds to an example of a first member, the stay 7 corresponds to an example of a second member, and the bolt 8 corresponds to an example of a fastening component.

[0037] [2. Second embodiment] [2-1. Configuration] The basic configuration of the fastener 201 in the second embodiment shown in Fig. 4 is similar to that of the fastener 1 in the first embodiment, so differences between the second embodiment and the first embodiment will be described below. Note that the same reference numerals as in the first embodiment indicate the same configuration, and the preceding description is to be referred to.

[0038] The fastener 201 of the second embodiment includes an inner tube 202 and a fixing member 205 instead of the inner tube 2 and the fixing member 5 of the first embodiment described above. The inner tube 202 and the fixing member 205 of the second embodiment have substantially the same configuration as the inner tube 2 and the fixing member 5 of the first embodiment. That is, the inner tube 202 is formed with an insertion hole 221 into which the bolt 8 can be inserted so as to pass therethrough in the axial direction A. The fixing member 205 includes a clamping portion 251 and a restricting portion 252. The clamping portion 251 is formed with a fitting hole 253 that passes therethrough in the axial direction A.

[0039] In the above-described first embodiment, the inner tube 2 is fitted into the fitting hole 53 of the fixed member 5. In contrast, in the second embodiment, the inner tube 202 is not fitted into the fitting hole 253 of the fixed member 205, and the end face on the tip side in the axial direction A of the inner tube 202 abuts against the end face on the rear end side in the axial direction A of the clamping portion 251 (FIG. 4). The positions of the end faces on the tip side in the axial direction A of the inner tube 202 and the outer tube 4 with respect to the axial direction A are approximately the same. The diameter of the fitting hole 253 is approximately the same as the diameter of the insertion hole 221 of the inner tube 202.

[0040] [2-2. Actions and Effects] According to the second embodiment described above in detail, it is possible to obtain the same effects as those of the first embodiment. In addition, according to the second embodiment, it is possible to obtain the following actions and effects.

[0041] (2a) According to the above-mentioned configuration, the clamping portion 251 of the fixing member 205 covers the end faces on the tip side in the axial direction A of the inner tube 202, the elastic member 3, and the outer tube 4, and directly receives the fastening force from the bolt 8. Since it is no longer restricted by the dimensional difference in the axial direction A between the inner tube 202 and the outer tube 4, the plate thickness in the axial direction A of the clamping portion 251 can be freely set.

[0042] [3. Third embodiment] [3-1. Configuration] The basic configuration of a fastener 301 in the third embodiment shown in Fig. 5 is similar to that of the fastener 1 in the first embodiment, so differences between the third embodiment and the first embodiment will be described below. Note that the same reference numerals as in the first embodiment indicate the same configuration, and the preceding description will be referred to.

[0043] The fastener 301 of the third embodiment includes a fixing member 305 instead of the fixing member 5 of the first embodiment described above. The fixing member 305 of the third embodiment has substantially the same configuration as the fixing member 5 of the first embodiment. That is, the fixing member 305 includes a clamping portion 351 and a restricting portion 352.

[0044] In the above-described first embodiment, the inner tube 2 and the fixing member 5 are separate members. In contrast, in the third embodiment, the fixing member 305 further includes an inner tube portion 354 corresponding to the inner tube 2 of the first embodiment. That is, in the third embodiment, the inner tube 2 and the fixing member 305 are integrally formed (FIG. 5). An insertion hole 354H into which the bolt 8 can be inserted is formed so as to pass through in the axial direction A in the inner tube portion 354.

[0045] [3-2. Actions and Effects] According to the third embodiment described above in detail, it is possible to obtain the same effects as those of the first embodiment. In addition, according to the third embodiment, it is possible to obtain the following actions and effects.

[0046] (3a) According to the above-described configuration, the fixing member 305 that restricts the displacement of the outer cylinder 4 in the axial direction A is integrated with the inner cylinder portion 354 that corresponds to the inner cylinder 2. Therefore, the relative change of the outer cylinder 4 in the axial direction A with respect to the inner cylinder portion 354 can be more effectively restricted.

[0047] [4. Fourth embodiment] [4-1. Configuration] The basic configuration of a fastener 401 in the fourth embodiment shown in Fig. 6 is similar to that of the fastener 1 in the first embodiment, so differences between the fourth embodiment and the first embodiment will be described below. Note that the same reference numerals as in the first embodiment indicate the same configuration, and the preceding description will be referred to.

[0048] In the first embodiment described above, a gap 9 is provided between the outer tube 4 and the restricting portion 52 of the fixed member 5. In contrast to this, in the fourth embodiment, an outer elastic member 403, which is an expandable member, is disposed between the outer tube 4 and the restricting portion 52 (FIG. 6). The elastic member 3 and the outer elastic member 403 may be made of the same material or different materials. When the exhaust part 6 and the stay 7 are fastened by the fastener 401 and the bolt 8, the end face on the rear end side in the axial direction A of the outer elastic member 403 abuts against the face on the front end side in the axial direction A of the stay 7.

[0049] [4-2. Actions and Effects] According to the fourth embodiment described above in detail, it is possible to obtain the same effects as those of the first embodiment. In addition, according to the fourth embodiment, it is possible to obtain the following actions and effects.

[0050] (4a) According to the above-mentioned configuration, in addition to the elastic member 3, the outer elastic member 403 can also absorb vibrations generated from the exhaust parts 6. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a vibration damping effect in a range that cannot be set by a single elastic member 3.

[0051] [5. Fifth Embodiment] [5-1. Configuration] 7 is similar to the fastener 1 of the first embodiment, the differences between the first embodiment and the fifth embodiment will be described below. Note that the same reference numerals as those in the first embodiment indicate the same configuration, and the preceding description will be referred to.

[0052] The fastener 501 of the fifth embodiment includes a fixing member 505 instead of the fixing member 5 of the first embodiment described above. The fixing member 505 of the fifth embodiment has substantially the same configuration as the fixing member 5 of the first embodiment. That is, the fixing member 505 includes a clamping portion 551 and a restricting portion 552. The clamping portion 551 is formed with a fitting hole 553 penetrating in the axial direction A.

[0053] In the first embodiment described above, the fixing member 5 includes the restricting portion 52 which is a cylindrical portion extending from the surface on the rear end side in the axial direction A of the clamping portion 51 toward the rear end side in the axial direction A. In contrast, in the fifth embodiment, the fixing member 505 further includes a flange portion 555 which is a brim-shaped portion protruding radially outward from the outer circumferential surface at the end portion on the rear end side in the axial direction A of the restricting portion 552 ( FIG. 7 ). When the exhaust part 6 and the stay 7 are fastened by the fastener 501 and the bolt 8, the surface on the rear end side in the axial direction A of the flange portion 555 comes into surface contact with the surface on the tip side in the axial direction A of the stay 7.

[0054] [5-2. Actions and Effects] According to the fifth embodiment described above in detail, it is possible to obtain the same effects as those of the first embodiment. In addition, according to the fifth embodiment, the following actions and effects are obtained.

[0055] (5a) According to the above-described configuration, the portion of the fixing member 505 that comes into contact with the stay 7 is widened from the restricting portion 552 to the flange portion 555. Therefore, when the exhaust part 6 and the stay 7 are fastened with the fastener 501 and the bolt 8, the displacement of the stay 7 in the axial direction A can be more effectively restricted by the fixing member 505.

[0056] 6. Other embodiments Although the embodiments of the present disclosure have been described above, it goes without saying that the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments and can take various forms.

[0057] (6a) In the above embodiment, the bolt 8 is used as the fastening part for fastening the exhaust part 6 and the stay 7. However, the fastening part is not limited to the bolt 8 and may be, for example, a rivet or a press-fit pin.

[0058] (6b) The first embodiment may be combined with at least one of the third and fourth embodiments. The second embodiment may be combined with at least one of the third and fourth embodiments. The third embodiment may be combined with the fourth embodiment.

[0059] (6c) Multiple functions possessed by one component in the above embodiments may be realized by multiple components, or one function possessed by one component may be realized by multiple components. Also, multiple functions possessed by multiple components may be realized by one component, or one function realized by multiple components may be realized by one component. Also, part of the configuration of the above embodiments may be omitted. Also, at least part of the configuration of the above embodiments may be added to or substituted for the configuration of another of the above embodiments.
