Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a program, an information processing device, and a control method for an information processing device. [Background technology]
[0002] Image processing software that combines multiple image objects, graphic objects, etc. to create content data such as posters, photo albums, slides, etc. is widely used. When creating content data in which multiple objects are arranged, if there is overlap between the objects, the overlap order of the objects is determined (for example, see Patent Document 1).
[0003] The user can change the XY coordinate positions of objects and the overlapping order of objects by using a mouse or the like, and can also perform various editing operations on each object. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] Patent Publication No. 2021-93579 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] When multiple objects are placed on top of each other, it can be difficult for a user to recognize a lower-layer object that is hidden by an upper-layer object. In particular, when a background removal process that changes the transparency of the background area to 100% or a trimming process that cuts out a part of an area is performed on a lower-layer object, the area that the user can see of the processed object becomes narrower than that of the object before the process. This makes it easy for a user to lose sight of the lower-layer object.
[0006] An object of the present invention is to provide a program, an information processing device, and a control method for an information processing device that can make it difficult to lose sight of an object that has been subjected to a predetermined editing process that narrows the visible area. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the program of the present invention is characterized in that it causes an information processing device, which creates content data based on a plurality of objects arranged in an editing area, to execute a predetermined editing process for an object selected by a user from among the plurality of objects arranged in the editing area, thereby narrowing the visible area of the object, and a predetermined control process for enhancing the visibility of the object after the editing process. Effect of the Invention
[0008] According to the present invention, it is possible to make it difficult to lose sight of an object that has been subjected to a predetermined editing process that narrows the visible area. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0010] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Note that the following embodiments do not limit the scope of the present invention, and not all of the combinations of features described in the embodiments are necessarily essential to the solution of the present invention.
[0011] First, a program, an information processing device, and a control method thereof according to a first embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[0012] Fig. 1 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of an information processing device 1 according to the present embodiment. As shown in Fig. 1, the information processing device 1 includes a ROM 10, a RAM 11, and a CPU 12. The information processing device 1 also includes an input / output interface (not shown) for connecting to a monitor 2, a printer 3, an input device 4, and a storage device 5.
[0013] The CPU 12 is a central processing unit, and controls the entire information processing device 1 by executing an operating system (hereinafter, referred to as "OS") stored in the storage device 5, the ROM 10, and the RAM 11. The CPU 12 also executes programs stored in the ROM 10 and the RAM 11 to realize each functional configuration of the information processing device 1, calculate and process information, and control and execute each hardware. For example, the CPU 12 executes an editing application program 10a stored in the ROM 10 to realize the function of the editing application. The editing application is image processing software that creates and edits content data such as posters, photo albums, slides, etc. by combining multiple image objects and graphic objects. For example, the editing application displays an editing screen 200 of FIG. 2(a) to be described later for creating a poster on the monitor 2, and causes the printer 3 to execute a printing process of the poster created on the editing screen 200. In this embodiment, as an example, a configuration in which the editing application program 10a is stored in the ROM 10 will be described, but the editing application program 10a may be stored in the storage device 5 or the RAM 11.
[0014] The ROM 10 is a read-only memory and stores programs, etc. The RAM 11 is a random access memory and functions as a work memory for the CPU 12. If the RAM 11 is a non-volatile RAM, it stores programs.
[0015] The monitor 2 is a display device that displays information output from the information processing device 1. The printer 3 performs printing processing based on print data output from the information processing device 1. The input device 4 is a keyboard or a pointing device for operating the information processing device 1. The input device 4 is an interface that imports data from an external USB memory device, an external HDD device, or the like. The input device 4 may be configured as an integrated device with the monitor 2. When the input device 4 is configured as an integrated device with the monitor 2, a user can directly touch the monitor 2 to input instructions. The storage device 5 is an HDD, SSD, or the like that stores data. In FIG. 1, the information processing device 1, the monitor 2, the input device 4, and the storage device 5 are each depicted as separate devices, but are not limited to such a configuration. For example, the information processing device 1 may be configured to include the monitor 2, the input device 4, and the storage device 5 (which may be shared with the RAM of the information processing device 1).
[0016] FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an example of an editing screen 200 displayed on the monitor 2 by an editing application of the information processing device 1 of FIG.
[0017] As shown in FIG. 2(a), an editing screen 200 displays a poster area 201 and tabs 202 to 204.
[0018] A poster being edited is displayed in a poster area 201. A user can create a poster by selecting objects from tabs 202 to 204 and arranging the selected objects in the poster area 201.
[0019] The tab 202 is a button for adding an image object to the poster area 201. When the user selects the tab 202, a plurality of image objects that can be added to the poster are displayed in the area 211. The image objects displayed in the area 211 are, for example, image objects that are registered in advance in an editing application. The image objects displayed in the area 211 may be image objects stored in the storage device 5 or the like by the user, or may be image objects acquired by the information processing device 1 from a cloud server (not shown). The user can select one or more image objects from the plurality of image objects displayed in the area 211 and place the selected image objects in the poster area 201.
[0020] Tab 203 is a button for adding a text object to poster area 201. When the user selects tab 203, buttons 203a and 203b in FIG. 2(b) are displayed on editing screen 200. Button 203a is a button for adding a horizontally written text object. Button 203b is a button for adding a vertically written text object. For example, the user can select button 203a, select any location in poster area 201, and input "poster" to add horizontally written text object 203c including the character string "poster" to poster area 201.
[0021] The tab 204 is a button for adding a graphical object to the poster area 201. When the user selects the tab 204, a plurality of graphical objects that can be added to the poster are displayed in the area 211 as shown in FIG. 2(c). The graphical objects displayed in the area 211 are, for example, graphical objects that are registered in advance in an editing application. The graphical objects displayed in the area 211 may be graphical objects stored in the storage device 5 or the like by the user, or may be graphical objects acquired by the information processing device 1 from a cloud server (not shown). The user can select one or more graphical objects from the plurality of graphical objects displayed in the area 211 and place the selected graphical objects in the poster area 201. The data of the graphical objects may be vector data or raster data.
[0022] Next, editing of an object arranged on the editing screen 200 will be described. For example, as shown in Fig. 3, when an image object 305 is arranged in the poster area 201 and the user clicks on the image object 305, the image object 305 is placed in a selected state, and an image object editing menu list 300 is displayed. The image object editing menu list 300 includes a background removal button 301, a cropping button 302, and a resize button 303. The user can edit the image object 305 by selecting any one of the background removal button 301, the cropping button 302, or the resize button 303.
[0023] When the user selects the background removal button 301 in the image object editing menu list 300, the editing screen 200 displays a background removal dialogue 401 in FIG. 4(a). The background removal dialogue 401 includes an image object 402, a background removal execution button 403, a cancel button 404, and an OK button 405. The image object 402 is the image object 305 that is in a selected state in the poster area 201. When the user selects the background removal execution button 403, a background removal process is performed on the image object 305. In the background removal process, for example, a technology provided at "https: / / github.com / danielgatis / rembg" is used, and a process of changing the transmittance of the area determined to be the background in the image object 305 to 100% is executed. In addition, the technology used in the background removal process is not limited to this technology, and other technologies may be used. When the background removal process is completed, the background removal dialogue 401 displays an image object 406 in FIG. 4(b) in which the transmittance of the background area has been changed to 100%. If the user selects a cancel button 404 in this state, the background removal process is not performed on the image object 305, and the state returns to the state before the background removal dialog 401 was opened, that is, the state in Fig. 3. On the other hand, if the user selects an OK button 405, the background removal process is performed on the image object 305, and an image object 406 with its background removed is displayed in the poster area 201 of the editing screen 200, as shown in Fig. 4(c).
[0024] Furthermore, when the user selects the trimming button 302 in the image object editing menu list 300, the editing screen 200 displays the trimming dialogue 501 in FIG. 5(a). The trimming dialogue 501 includes an image object 502, range designation frames 503a to 503d, a cancel button 504, and an OK button 505. The image object 502 is the image object 305 that is in a selected state in the poster area 201. The user can change the position of the range designation frames 503a to 503d to designate the trimming range. When the user selects the cancel button 504 in the trimming dialogue 501, the trimming process is not performed on the image object 305, and the state returns to that of FIG. 3 before the trimming dialogue 501 is opened. On the other hand, when the user selects the OK button 505 in the trimming dialogue 501, the trimming process is performed on the image object 305. At this time, in the poster area 201 of the editing screen 200, an image object 506 shown in FIG. 5(b) is displayed, which is the area of the range specification frames 503a to 503d cut out from the image object 502.
[0025] Also, when the user selects the resize button 303 in the image object editing menu list 300, a resize dialogue 601 in FIG. 6(a) is displayed on the editing screen 200. The resize dialogue 601 includes an item 602 for specifying the width after the change, an item 603 for specifying the height after the change, a cancel button 604, and an OK button 605. When the user selects the cancel button 604, the resize process is not performed on the image object 305, and the state returns to the state shown in FIG. 3 before the resize dialogue 601 is opened. On the other hand, when the user selects the OK button 605, a resize process is performed on the image object 305 based on the value specified in the item 602 and the value specified in the item 603. At this time, the poster area 201 of the editing screen 200 displays the image object 606 in FIG. 6(b) whose size has been changed based on the value specified in the item 602 and the value specified in the item 603. The image object 606 is placed at a position where the XY coordinates of the upper left vertex of the image object 606 match the XY coordinates of the upper left vertex of the image object 305 before the size change.
[0026] In this manner, in this embodiment, predetermined editing processes such as background removal, trimming, and size change are performed on an object arranged on editing screen 200 to narrow the visible area of the object. In this embodiment, when such predetermined editing processes are performed on an object, the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 is performed.
[0027] FIG. 7 is a flowchart showing the procedure of the overlap order change process executed by the information processing device 1 of FIG. 1. The overlap order change process of FIG. 7 is realized by the CPU 12 executing the program 10a of the editing application stored in the ROM 10 or the like. In the overlap order change process of FIG. 7, it is assumed that, as an example, a text object 801, a graphic object 802, and image objects 803 to 805 are arranged in the poster area 201 of the editing screen 200 as shown in FIG. 8. The overlap order of these objects is the text object 801, the graphic object 802, and the image objects 803 to 805 as shown in FIG. 9. That is, when all these objects overlap, the text object 801 is arranged in the foreground, and the image object 805 is arranged in the background. In addition, the image object 805 is an image object including a person area and a background area as shown in FIG. 10(a). In the poster area 201, the frame line of an arranged object is not displayed except when the object is selected. The overlap order change process in Fig. 7 is executed when the above-mentioned predetermined editing process is performed on any of the objects arranged in the poster area 201. Note that in Fig. 7, as an example, it is assumed that the overlap order change process is started when the background removal process is performed on the image object 805. For example, when the background removal process is performed on the image object 805, the image object 1001 with the background removed as shown in Fig. 10(b) is obtained. Note that in the image object 1001 with the background removed, the transparency of the removed area 1002 is assumed to be 100%. In the following, an area in an object with a transparency of 100% is referred to as a "transparent area", and the other areas are referred to as a non-transparent area.
[0028] 7, first, the editing application obtains the positions of pixels in a non-transparent area of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed (S (step) 701). Specifically, the editing application obtains the positions of pixels in an area 1100 in FIG. 11(a) that corresponds to a non-transparent area in the poster area 201.
[0029] Next, the editing application acquires an area formed by objects that are in front of the background-removed image object 1001 and overlap with the background-removed image object 1001 (S702). Here, FIG. 11(b) shows objects arranged in the poster area 201 represented by rectangles. In FIG. 11(b), areas 1101 to 1105 are areas corresponding to the text object 801, the graphic object 802, the image objects 803 and 804, and the background-removed image object 1001, respectively. In the poster area 201, objects that are in front of the background-removed image object 1001 and overlap with the background-removed image object 1001 are the graphic object 802, and the image objects 803 and 804. In S702, the editing application acquires an area 1106 in FIG. 11(c) formed by the graphic object 802 and the image objects 803 and 804.
[0030] Next, the editing application calculates the area of the determination region (S703). The determination region is a region in a non-transparent region of the background-removed image object 1001 that does not overlap with any object in front of the background-removed image object 1001, specifically, the region 1107 in FIG. 11(d).
[0031] Next, the editing application determines whether the area of the determination area is equal to or smaller than a preset reference value (S704). The reference value is, for example, 1% of the area of the poster area 201 and the area of the non-transparent area of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed, whichever is smaller. Note that the reference value of 1% of the area of the poster area 201 is just an example, and may be another value such as 2% of the area of the poster area 201. If it is determined in S704 that the area of the determination area is larger than the reference value, the overlap order change process ends.
[0032] In S704, when it is determined that the area of the determination region is equal to or smaller than the reference value, the editing application performs a predetermined control to enhance the visibility of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed. Specifically, the editing application changes the overlapping order of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed to the top, as shown in FIG. 12 (S705). In S705, for example, the overlapping order of the objects in front of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed is changed to one behind, and the overlapping order of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed is changed to the top. Note that the overlapping order may be changed in any manner other than the above-mentioned manner as long as the overlapping order of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed is changed to the top. For example, first, a process is performed to change the overlapping order of the objects in front of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed to one behind the current order. As a result, the overlapping order of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed may be changed to the top. When the overlapping order is changed in S705, as shown in Fig. 13, the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed is displayed in the foreground in the poster area 201. When the process of S705 is completed, the overlapping order change process ends.
[0033] According to the embodiment described above, a predetermined control is performed to enhance the visibility of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed. This makes it difficult to lose sight of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed.
[0034] Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, under predetermined control, the overlapping order of the background-removed image object 1001 is changed to the top. This prevents the background-removed image object 1001 from being hidden by other objects, making it difficult to lose sight of the background-removed image object 1001.
[0035] Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, the predetermined control is performed when the area of the determination region in the background-removed image object 1001 is equal to or smaller than a reference value. The determination region is a region in the non-transparent region of the background-removed image object 1001 that does not overlap with any object in front of the background-removed image object 1001. This makes it difficult to lose sight of the background-removed image object 1001, in which most of the non-transparent region that is the region visible to the user is hidden by an upper object as the background removal process is performed.
[0036] In the present embodiment, the overlap order change process is performed after the background removal process is performed as a predetermined editing process, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the overlap order change process may be performed after a trimming process or a size change process.
[0037] In addition, in this embodiment, the reference value used in the judgment in S704 is the smaller of 1% of the area of the poster area 201 and the area of the non-transparent area of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed, but the reference value is not limited to this. For example, the reference value may be a value set by the user, and may be the number of pixels such as "10,000 pixels" instead of the area ratio. Furthermore, the process may be simplified so that the overlapping order of the image object from which the background has been removed is changed to the top in response to the editing process such as background removal being performed on the image object, without calculating the area of the judgment area.
[0038] Next, a program, an information processing device, and a control method thereof according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. The second embodiment is basically the same as the first embodiment in terms of configuration and operation, but differs from the first embodiment in that the XY coordinate positions of objects are changed without changing the overlapping order of objects. Therefore, a description of the overlapping configuration and operation will be omitted, and the different configuration and operation will be described below.
[0039] FIG. 14 is a flowchart showing the procedure of the position adjustment process executed by the information processing device 1 of FIG. 1. The position adjustment process of FIG. 14 is realized by the CPU 12 executing the program 10a of the editing application stored in the ROM 10 or the like. In the position adjustment process of FIG. 14, it is assumed that a text object 801, a graphic object 802, and image objects 803 to 805 are arranged in the poster area 201 of the editing screen 200 as shown in FIG. 8, for example. The position adjustment process of FIG. 14 is also executed when the above-mentioned predetermined editing process is performed on any of the objects arranged in the poster area 201, similar to the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above. In the position adjustment process of FIG. 14, it is assumed that the position adjustment process is started when the background removal process is performed on the image object 805, for example.
[0040] 14, steps S1401 to S1404 are performed which are the same processes as steps S701 to S704 described above. If it is determined in step S1404 that the area of the determination region is greater than the reference value, the position adjustment process ends.
[0041] If it is determined in S1404 that the area of the determination area is equal to or smaller than the reference value, the position adjustment process proceeds to S1405. In S1405, the editing application acquires a rectangular area including a non-transparent area from the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed. Specifically, the editing application acquires the rectangular area 1501 in Fig. 15 from the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed. The rectangular area 1501 is an area that includes a non-transparent area 1502 and has a minimum area.
[0042] Next, the editing application acquires the movement candidate positions of the rectangular area 1501 (S1406). The movement candidate positions are predetermined positions within the area of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed. The movement candidate positions will be described with reference to Figs. 16(a) and 16(b).
[0043] 16A is a diagram showing parameters used to describe the destination candidate positions. The following shows what each parameter represents.
[0044] X_f: Width of image object 1001 after background removal Y_f: Height of image object 1001 after background removal X_0: Distance from the left side of the rectangular area 1501 to the left side of the image object 1001 after background removal Y_0: Distance from the top edge of the rectangular area 1501 to the top edge of the image object 1001 with the background removed X_1: Width of rectangular area 1501 Y_1: Height of rectangular area 1501 The candidate destination positions are positions obtained by translating 25 points obtained by combining positions obtained by increasing the x-axis direction from 0 to X_f-X_1 in increments of (X_f-X_1) / 4 and positions obtained by increasing the y-axis direction from 0 to Y_f-Y_1 in increments of (Y_f-Y_1) / 4 when the top left position of the image object 1001 with its background removed is the origin of the XY coordinates, so that the combination becomes the top left position of the rectangular area 1501.
[0045] Next, the editing application calculates the area of the determination area and the distance from the original position when the rectangular area 1501 is moved to each movement candidate position (S1407). Next, the editing application determines whether or not the area of the determination area calculated in S1407 is larger than the area of the determination area calculated in S1403 (hereinafter referred to as the "area of the determination area at the original position") (S1408). If it is determined in S1408 that the area of the determination area calculated in S1407 is not larger than the area of the determination area at the original position, the position adjustment process ends.
[0046] If it is determined in S1408 that the area of the determination region calculated in S1407 is greater than the area of the determination region in the original position, the position adjustment process proceeds to S1409.
[0047] In S1409, the editing application determines the move candidate position where the area of the judgment area calculated in S1407 is maximum among the multiple move candidate positions acquired in S1406 as the move position of the rectangular area 1501. For example, if there is one move candidate position where the area of the judgment area calculated in S1407 is maximum among the multiple move candidate positions acquired in S1406, the editing application determines this move candidate position as the move position of the rectangular area 1501. On the other hand, if there are multiple move candidate positions where the area of the judgment area calculated in S1407 is maximum among the multiple move candidate positions acquired in S1406, the editing application identifies the move candidate position that is closest in distance from the original position among the multiple move candidate positions where the area of the judgment area is maximum. If there is one identified move candidate position, the editing application determines this move candidate position as the move position of the rectangular area 1501. When a plurality of candidate positions are identified, the editing application randomly selects one of the plurality of candidate positions and determines the selected candidate position as the position to which the rectangular area 1501 is moved. For example, when the top left vertex of the rectangular area 1501 is x=X_f-X_1 as expressed by the coordinates in FIG. 16(b), the area of the judgment area is maximum regardless of the y coordinate position since the judgment area does not overlap with the upper object. Among the candidate positions corresponding to this X coordinate, the candidate position of y=Y_f-Y_1 is closest to the original position. Therefore, the position to which the rectangular area 1501 is moved is (X, Y)=(X_f-X_1, Y_f-Y_1) as expressed by the coordinates in FIG. 16(b).
[0048] Next, the editing application performs a predetermined control to enhance the visibility of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed. Specifically, the editing application updates the position of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed based on the moving position determined in S1409 (S1410). Specifically, the editing application moves the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed so that the rectangular area 1501 moves to the moving position determined in S1409. For example, when the moving position (X, Y) determined in S1409 is (X_f-X_1, Y_f-Y_1), the moving amount from the position before the movement of the rectangular area 1204 to this moving position is (X, Y)=(X_f-X_1-X_0, Y_f-Y_1-Y_0). The editing application moves the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed by this moving area. 17, the non-transparent region 1502 of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed is displayed at a position visible to the user in the poster region 201. When the process of S1410 is completed, the position adjustment process ends.
[0049] In the above-described second embodiment, the background-removed image object 1001 is moved so that the rectangular region 1501 including the non-transparent region 1502 is displayed at a position where the area of the determination region is largest in the region of the background-removed image object 1001. This allows the user to visually recognize more of the non-transparent region 1502 than when the background removal process is performed, and therefore makes it difficult for the user to lose sight of the background-removed image object 1001.
[0050] In the above-described second embodiment, the configuration has been described in which the movement candidate position is within the region of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed, but the present invention is not limited to this configuration. For example, the movement candidate position may be within the poster region 201, not within the region of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed. This makes it possible to find a movement position of the rectangular region 1501 that will result in a larger determination region, that is, a movement position of the rectangular region 1501 where the non-transparent region 1502 is more easily recognized by the user.
[0051] Furthermore, in the second embodiment described above, in S1409, a position where the area of the determination region is equal to or larger than a reference value and where the amount of movement from the original position is the smallest may be determined as the movement position of the rectangular region 1501. This makes it possible to minimize the sense of incongruity caused by the movement of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed, while making it difficult to lose sight of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed.
[0052] In the second embodiment, the overlap order change process may be performed after the position adjustment process is performed. This makes it possible to display the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed in the foreground, making it difficult for the user to lose sight of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed, even if the area of the non-transparent region 1502 displayed by the position adjustment process is large enough that the user cannot easily recognize it.
[0053] In the second embodiment, the position adjustment process is performed after the background removal process is performed as a predetermined editing process, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the position adjustment process may be performed after a trimming process or a size change process.
[0054] Next, a program, an information processing device, and a control method thereof according to a third embodiment of the present invention will be described. The third embodiment is basically the same as the first embodiment in terms of configuration and operation, but differs from the first embodiment in that the overlap order of edited objects is changed from the top to the order in which the area of the determination area becomes larger than the reference value. Therefore, a description of the overlapping configuration and operation will be omitted, and the different configuration and operation will be described below.
[0055] FIG. 18 is a flowchart showing another procedure of the overlap order change process executed by the information processing device 1 of FIG. 1. The overlap order change process of FIG. 18 is similar to the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above, and the following will particularly describe the contents different from the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above. The overlap order change process of FIG. 18 is realized by the CPU 12 executing the program 10a of the editing application stored in the ROM 10 or the like, similar to the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above. It is assumed that the text object 801, the graphic object 802, and the image objects 803 to 805 are arranged as shown in FIG. 8, similar to the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above. The overlap order change process of FIG. 18 is also executed when the above-mentioned predetermined editing process is performed on any of the objects arranged in the poster area 201, similar to the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above. In FIG. 18, it is assumed, as an example, that the overlap order change process is started when the background removal process is performed on the image object 805.
[0056] 18, steps S1801 to S1804 are performed which are the same processes as steps S701 to S704 described above. If it is determined in step S1804 that the area of the determination region is greater than the reference value, the overlap order change process ends.
[0057] If it is determined in S1804 that the area of the determination area is equal to or smaller than the reference value, the editing application increases the overlapping order of the background-removed image object 1001 by one (S1805). For example, the editing application exchanges the overlapping order of the background-removed image object 1001 with the overlapping order of the object one position in front of the image object 1001. Note that the overlapping order may be changed by any method other than the above-described method as long as the overlapping order of the background-removed image object 1001 is increased by one position. Thereafter, the overlapping order change process returns to S1802. Thus, in the third embodiment, the process of increasing the overlapping order of the background-removed image object 1001 by one is repeatedly performed until it is determined that the area of the determination area is larger than the reference value. As a result, in the poster area 201, the non-transparent area 1502 in the background-removed image object 1001 is visibly displayed as shown in FIG. 19.
[0058] In the above-described third embodiment, the overlapping order of the background-removed image objects 1001 is changed to an order in which the area of the determination region becomes larger than a reference value. This makes it difficult to lose sight of the background-removed image object 1001, and suppresses the effect on the visibility of other objects caused by the change in the overlapping order of the background-removed image object 1001.
[0059] In the above-mentioned S1805, the overlapping order of the image object 1001 and the object one object in front of the image object 1001 is changed regardless of whether or not there is overlap with the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed, but the present invention is not limited to this configuration. For example, the overlapping order of the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed may be changed so that the overlapping order of the image object 1001 is one object higher than the lowest object among the objects that overlap with the image object 1001 and are in front of the image object 1001. This makes it possible to skip objects that do not affect the area of the determination region when performing the overlapping order change process, thereby reducing the load of the overlapping order change process.
[0060] In the third embodiment, the overlap order change process shown in Fig. 18 is performed after the background removal process is performed as the predetermined editing process, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the overlap order change process shown in Fig. 18 may be performed after a trimming process or a size change process.
[0061] Next, a program, an information processing device, and a control method thereof according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention will be described. The fourth embodiment is basically the same as the first embodiment described above in terms of configuration and operation, but differs from the first embodiment described above in that, when displaying the image object 1001 from which background has been removed in the foreground makes it difficult to view another object, the non-transparent region 1502 of the image object 1001 from which background has been removed becomes semi-transparent. Therefore, a description of the overlapping configuration and operation will be omitted, and the different configuration and operation will be described below.
[0062] FIG. 20 is a flowchart showing yet another procedure of the overlap order change process executed by the information processing device 1 of FIG. 1. The overlap order change process of FIG. 20 is similar to the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above, and the following will particularly describe the contents different from the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above. The overlap order change process of FIG. 20 is also realized by the CPU 12 executing the program 10a of the editing application stored in the ROM 10 or the like, similar to the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above. It is assumed that the text object 801, the graphic object 802, and the image objects 803 to 805 are arranged in the poster area 201 of the editing screen 200 as shown in FIG. 8, as an example, in the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above. The overlap order change process of FIG. 20 is also executed when the above-mentioned predetermined editing process is performed on any of the objects arranged in the poster area 201, similar to the overlap order change process of FIG. 7 described above. In FIG. 20, as an example, it is assumed that the overlap order change process is started when the background removal process is performed on the image object 805.
[0063] 20, steps S2001 to S2004 are performed which are the same processes as steps S701 to S704 described above. If it is determined in step S2004 that the area of the determination region is greater than the reference value, the overlap order change process ends.
[0064] If it is determined in S2004 that the area of the determination region is equal to or smaller than the reference value, then S2005, which is the same process as S705 described above, is performed. Next, the editing application determines whether or not there is an object that is placed behind the image object 1001 from which the background has been removed and whose determination region will be equal to or smaller than the reference value when the overlapping order is changed in S2005 (S2006). If it is determined in S2006 that there is no object whose determination region will be equal to or smaller than the reference value, the overlapping order change process ends.
[0065] If it is determined in S2006 that there is an object whose determination area is equal to or smaller than the reference value, the editing application performs a predetermined control to enhance the visibility of the background-removed image object 1001. Specifically, the editing application makes the non-transparent area 1502 of the background-removed image object 1001 semi-transparent (S2007). For example, the editing application changes the transparency of the non-transparent area 1502 of the background-removed image object 1001 to 25%. Thereafter, the overlap order change process ends.
[0066] In the fourth embodiment described above, when the overlapping order of the background-removed object is changed, if the area of the determination region of the object placed behind the background-removed object becomes equal to or smaller than a reference value, the background-removed object is made semi-transparent. This makes it difficult to lose sight of the background-removed image object 1001, and suppresses a decrease in the visibility of other objects due to a change in the overlapping order of the background-removed image object 1001.
[0067] In the fourth embodiment, the overlap order change process shown in Fig. 20 is performed after the background removal process is performed as the predetermined editing process, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the overlap order change process shown in Fig. 20 may be performed after a trimming process or a size change process.
[0068] The present invention can also be realized by a process in which a program for implementing one or more of the functions of the above-described embodiments is supplied to a system or device via a network or a storage medium, and one or more processors in a computer of the system or device read and execute the program. The present invention can also be realized by a circuit (e.g., ASIC) that implements one or more of the functions.
