Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a display device, and more particularly to a display device for a vehicle. [Background technology]
[0002] An example of a conventional display device is disclosed in Patent Document 1. As shown in Fig. 5, this display device has a transparent lens 100 that covers the front of the display unit of the display device, a display unit 200 consisting of an analog instrument, and a cover 300 that fixes the lens 100 between the display unit 200 and the lens 100. The cover 300 has mounting stays 301, 302 at the top and bottom, respectively, and the mounting stays 301, 302 are fixed to an instrument panel (so-called dashboard) 500 of the vehicle with fasteners such as screws 400, thereby fixing the display device to the vehicle. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] Publication number 02-045778 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] When the display device is attached to the instrument panel 500, from the viewpoint of workability, it is fixed in a position in which the display unit 200 faces diagonally upward as shown in Fig. 5. First, the lower mounting stay 302 is fixed with the screw 400, and then the upper mounting stay 301 is fixed with the screw 400. When the lower mounting stay 302 is fixed with the screw 400, the weight X1 of the display device generates a rotational force X3 on the inside cover 300 in the direction of rotation about the lower screw fastening position X2. This causes the inside cover 300 to try to displace in the direction of X4 in the figure.
[0005] However, deformation in the X6 direction, which is the same as the X4 direction at screw fastening position X5 of upper mounting stay 301, is restricted by instrument panel 500, so end cover 300 warps and deforms as shown by X7 in the figure. As a result, upper mounting stay 301 is pulled in the X8 direction in the figure. As a result, at screw fastening position X5 of upper mounting stay 301, mounting hole 301a of mounting stay 301 is biased upward by the dimension X9 in the figure, and as a result, the display device is shifted backward by the dimension X9.
[0006] This causes the lens 100 to shift rearward by the dimension X9, which causes a problem in that the gap X10 between the lens 100 and the instrument panel visor 501, which is later attached to the instrument panel 500 and positioned in front of the lens 300, becomes larger by the dimension X9.
[0007] Therefore, the present disclosure has been made in consideration of the above problems, and has an object to provide a display device that is attached to a vehicle and that can prevent deformation of components. [Means for solving the problem]
[0008] The display device of the present invention comprises a display unit 4 having a display section that displays vehicle information, a transparent member 1 that covers the front of the display unit 4 in the front-to-rear direction, which is the direction in which the viewer views the display unit 4, and a back cover member 2 that is arranged between the transparent member 1 and the display unit 4 and has a vertical wall portion 21 that fixes the transparent member 1 and surrounds the display unit 4, wherein the back cover member 2 has an attachment portion 23 that protrudes from the outside of the vertical wall portion 21 and is attachable to an attachment destination 500, and the attachment portion 23 has a first abutment portion 24 that abuts the transparent member 1 in the front-to-rear direction. [0010] The present disclosure relates to an instrument device for a vehicle, and can be applied to an instrument device for a vehicle mounted on a moving body such as an automobile, a motorcycle, or an agricultural machine or a construction machine.
[0011] A vehicle instrument device M according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is mounted on a vehicle (for example, an automobile) and configured as an instrument device that displays a predetermined measurement amount (such as vehicle speed).
[0012] In the following, in order to facilitate understanding of the configuration of the instrument device M for a vehicle, the direction in which the driver (viewer) seated in the driver's seat is viewed from the instrument device M for a vehicle is referred to as the "front" and the opposite side is referred to as the "rear", and these are indicated by the arrows "Fr." and "Re." in the drawings. In addition, "up", "down", "left", and "right" are appropriately explained as the arrows "To.", "Bo.", "L", and "R" in the drawings.
[0013] The instrument device M is disposed on an instrument panel (mounting location) 500 at a position that is visible to the driver. The instrument device M mainly includes a lens (transparent member) 1, a cover (cover member) 2, a cover 3, and a display means (display unit) 4.
[0014] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the display means 4 has a display panel 41 displayed in the center of the instrument device M, a speedometer 42 displayed to the right of the display panel 41, a tachometer located on the left side of the display panel 41 (not shown), and various indicators 43 located in various parts.
[0015] The speedometer 42 and tachometer are analog instruments consisting of a pointer 5 made of transparent and opaque synthetic resin and a dial 6 made of a transparent synthetic resin sheet behind the pointer 5, and indicate the vehicle speed and engine RPM, respectively. The speedometer 42 and tachometer are illuminated by a light source 8 consisting of an LED (Light Emitting Diode) provided on a circuit board 7 arranged behind the dial 6.
[0016] The indicators 43 are operation lights that indicate the operation of the vehicle's turn lamps, high beams, etc., and warning lights that warn of the vehicle's seat belt not fastened, remaining fuel, etc. The indicators 43 have a design formed on the dial 6, and are illuminated by the light source 8 consisting of an LED provided on the circuit board 7.
[0017] The circuit board 7 is made of a rigid circuit board in which a wiring pattern (not shown) is provided on a glass epoxy-based base material such as FR-4 (Flame Retardant-4).
[0018] The display panel 41 is made up of a liquid crystal display means such as a TFT (Thin Film Transistor) module, an organic EL (Electro Luminescence) module, etc., and displays various vehicle information including an odometer, a trip meter, and a shift position. The display panel 41 is disposed behind the dial 6 and is visible through a see-through portion 61 of the dial 6.
[0019] Although not shown in the figures, display panel 41 has an FPC (Flexible Printed Circuits) hanging down from the back surface toward circuit board 7, and the tip of the FPC is attached to an FPC connector mounted on the back surface of circuit board 7 to enable electrical connection with circuit board 7, and displays the various types of information described above based on input signals from circuit board 7.
[0020] The lens 1 is made of a translucent synthetic resin such as a transparent PMMA (acrylic) resin, and functions as a covering member that covers the front of the end cover 2. The lens 1 is made of a material that is more rigid than the end cover 2. The lens 1 is also configured to allow the driver to view the dial 6.
[0021] As shown in Figure 4, the lens 1 has a front portion 11 arranged opposite the display means 4, a side portion 12 whose entire outer edge outside an opening 22 in the endpaper 2 described later extends rearward (toward the endpaper 2) and covers the opening 22 described later from the outside, and a plurality of hooks (locking claws: engaged portions) 13 partially extending from a rear tip 12a of the side portion 12, and the hooks 13 are fixed to the endpaper 2 by engaging with hook receiving portions (receiving portions) 26 provided on the endpaper 2.
[0022] The cover 3 is made of an impermeable synthetic resin such as white PP (polypropylene) resin, has a box shape with an opening at the front, fits into the inside cover 2, and houses a display means 4 inside.
[0023] The inside cover 2 is made of synthetic resin such as black PP resin, and is disposed between the lens 1 and the display means 4. The inside cover 2 has at least a standing wall portion 21, an opening 22, an attachment stay (attachment portion) 23, an attachment portion rib (first abutment portion) 24, a hook receiving portion (engagement portion) 26, a hook portion rib (second abutment portion) 27, a protruding edge 28, and a spaced portion 29.
[0024] The standing wall portion 21 extends in the front-rear direction of the instrument device M and is formed in a cylindrical shape surrounding the space between the display means 4 and the lens 1 in the circumferential direction. The standing wall portion 21 surrounds the display area of the display means 4. As shown in FIG. 2, the standing wall portion 21 has a standing wall inner surface 21a which is the inner surface (the display means 4 side) and a standing wall outer surface 21b which is the outer surface (the opposite side to the display means 4). The standing wall inner surface 21a is the surface that is visible to the driver. The standing wall outer surface 21b is the surface that is not visible from the instrument panel 500. The standing wall portion 21 inclines outward as it approaches the lens 1 side.
[0025] The opening 22 is a space inside the standing wall portion 21. The opening 22 exposes the display means 4 to the driver.
[0026] The protruding side 28 is formed by a part of the outer wall surface 21b protruding outward. The protruding side 28 is disposed opposite to the tip 12a of the lens 1 with a gap of several millimeters provided therebetween.
[0027] The mounting stay 23 is formed to extend forward from the protruding side 28 beyond the upper opening 22b. The mounting stay 23 is provided at four locations, two at the top and two at the bottom, on the instrument device M. The mounting stay 23 has a mounting hole 23a which is a through hole.
[0028] The instrument device M is attached to the instrument panel 500 of the vehicle by inserting a screw into the mounting hole 23a and screwing the screw into the instrument panel 500.
[0029] The mounting rib 24 projects forward from a protruding edge 28 located between the mounting stay 23 and the standing wall portion 21, and abuts against the tip 12a of the lens 1 in the front-rear direction.
[0030] By forming it in this manner, even if the upright wall portion 21 at the upper part of the end cover 2 tries to warp and deform due to its own weight when the instrument device M is attached, the deformation is suppressed by the attachment rib 24 coming into contact with the lens 1 which is more rigid (less likely to deform) than the end cover 2. This makes it possible to prevent problems such as a gap opening up between the lens 1 and the instrument panel visor 501 which is attached to the instrument panel 500 and disposed in front of the lens 1.
[0031] The mounting rib 24 has an upper end 24a formed integrally with the mounting stay 23, and a lower end 24b spaced apart from the standing wall outer surface 21b of the standing wall portion 21. The spaced apart portion 29 is a space between the mounting rib 24 and the standing wall outer surface 21b.
[0032] By forming the mounting rib 24 in this manner, the mounting rib 24 is not directly connected to the standing wall portion 21, so that occurrence of sink marks on the standing wall inner surface 21a can be suppressed.
[0033] The hook receiving portion 26 is formed in a U-shaped cross section, and a rectangular hole 26a through which the hook 13 can be inserted is formed between the hook receiving portion 26 and the standing wall outer surface 21b. The hook receiving portion 26 is disposed in correspondence with the hook 13 of the lens 1, and engages with the hook 13 of the lens 1. The hook receiving portions 26 are disposed at various locations, including on both sides of the mounting stay 23.
[0034] The hook portion rib 27 is formed on the protruding side 28 near the hole 26a of the hook receiving portion 26, protrudes forward from the protruding side 28 and abuts against the tip 12a of the lens 1 in the front-rear direction. Two hook portion ribs 27 are formed in a pair for each hook receiving portion 26 with a hole 26a therebetween so as to abut against the tips 12a of the hooks 13 on both sides.
[0035] As described above, two hook portion ribs 27 are formed in a pair on either side of hole 26a for each hook receiving portion 26, but are not formed at a position (for example, position X in the figure) adjacent to the mounting portion rib 24. In other words, the hook portion rib 27 is not formed between the mounting portion rib 24 and the hook 13.
[0036] The height H at which the attachment rib 24 protrudes from the protruding side 28 and the height at which the hook rib 27 protrudes from the protruding side 28 are set so that the strength with which the attachment rib 24 abuts against the tip 12a is stronger than the strength with which the hook rib 27 abuts against the tip 12a.
[0037] By forming it in this manner, the attachment rib 24 reliably abuts against the tip 12a, so that the deformation of the endpaper 2 by the lens 1 can be reliably suppressed.
[0038] The present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the gist of the present disclosure.
[0039] The present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the gist of the present disclosure. For example, the mounting stays 23 are provided at four locations, two at the top and two at the bottom, in the instrument device M, but may be provided at two locations, one at the top and one at the bottom.
