[0035] In the curtain wall 100, the space S11 of the attachment 5 and the second hollow section S32 of the lower transom 3 are connected by an outside air introduction hole 321 formed in the lower transom 3. By making the space S11 of the attachment 5 and the second hollow section S32 of the lower transom 3 have the same external pressure, it is possible to prevent water from entering the room through a small gap formed between the end of the first extending plate section 52 of the attachment 5 and the outdoor side section 32 of the lower transom 3.
[0036] The outside air introduction hole 311 formed directly in the lower transom 3 connects the second hollow portion S32 of the lower transom 3 with the outside air, making it possible to make the space portion S11 and the second hollow portion S32 the same as the outside pressure.
[0037] When the frame 1 of the curtain wall 100 deforms due to rocking during an earthquake, the attachment 5 is engaged with the lower transom 3, and therefore the attachment 5 can deform separately from the lower transom 3. The attachment 5 and the glass panel 4B connected to the attachment 5 deform differently from the frame 1, which prevents the structural sealant 61 from breaking or being damaged.
[0038] When replacing the glass panel 4B, the attachment 5 can be replaced as well, which provides good maintainability.
[0039] (Modification) The curtain wall according to the modified example will be described mainly with reference to Figures 4 and 5.
