Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an ultraviolet LED unit for an ultraviolet sterilization device that irradiates ultraviolet rays to sterilize various liquids such as river water, industrial water, well water, tap water, pure water, industrial wastewater, domestic wastewater, syrup, etc. [Background technology]

[0002] Devices that sterilize a liquid to be treated by irradiating it with ultraviolet light have been widely used for some time. In particular, an ultraviolet sterilization device is already in use in which a quartz tube containing an ultraviolet lamp is placed inside a casing, and the liquid to be treated is irradiated with ultraviolet light emitted by the ultraviolet lamp while the liquid to be treated flows through the quartz tube, thereby sterilizing the liquid to be treated.

[0003] Recently, ultraviolet sterilization devices using ultraviolet LED light sources have been developed that can maintain a good amount of ultraviolet irradiation for a relatively long period of time compared to conventional ultraviolet lamps, as shown in Patent Document 1. Among such ultraviolet sterilization devices using ultraviolet LED light sources, ultraviolet LED modules have already been developed in which the ultraviolet LED light source is covered with an LED cover that allows ultraviolet light to pass through in order to prevent dust, moisture, and the like from adhering to the ultraviolet LED light source fixed to the surface side of a resin base. [0004] [Patent Document 1] JP 2016-123930 A DISCLOSURE OF THEINVENTION [Means for solving the problem]

[0005] In the conventional LED module, the LED cover is fixed to the base by a fixing means such as an adhesive. However, in order to increase the irradiation efficiency of the LED light from the ultraviolet LED light source, for example, a reflector is provided on the opposite side of the reactor to the ultraviolet LED module, or ultraviolet LED modules are arranged on both sides of the reactor. In such cases, the reflected light from the reflector or the light from the ultraviolet LED light source is irradiated to the LED cover of the ultraviolet LED module, passes through the LED cover, and is irradiated to the base or fixing means, which may cause deterioration of the base or adhesive.

[0006] Therefore, the present application aims to solve the above-mentioned problems by providing an ultraviolet LED unit for an ultraviolet sterilization device that can prevent deterioration of the resin base and the fixing means even when ultraviolet LED light is irradiated.

[0007] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides an ultraviolet LED unit for ultraviolet sterilization comprising an ultraviolet LED module in which an ultraviolet LED light source fixed to the surface side of a base is covered with an LED cover that is ultraviolet-transmitting and capable of irradiating ultraviolet rays toward the water to be treated flowing through a reactor, and a frame fixedly arranged on the outer periphery of the multiple ultraviolet LED modules, wherein the surface of the base is covered together with the ultraviolet LED light source by the LED cover, the contact portion between the LED cover and the surface of the base is fixed by a fixing means, and the LED cover is covered with an ultraviolet non-transmitting plate at least at the position corresponding to the contact portion.

[0008] In addition, a deep ultraviolet LED light source can be used as the ultraviolet LED light source of the present invention. The peak wavelength of the deep ultraviolet LED light source is preferably in the range of 260 nm to 285 nm, and more preferably in the range of 260 nm to 265 nm. The material of the LED cover can be, for example, quartz, ultraviolet transmitting glass, or fluorine-based resin. The base is preferably made of resin.

[0009] The rear surface of the frame may be covered with a heat dissipation plate for dissipating heat generated by the ultraviolet LED light source. By providing such a heat dissipation plate, the heat generated in the ultraviolet LED light source can be efficiently dissipated, and therefore, it is possible to prevent the device from breaking down due to the heat generated by the ultraviolet LED light source.

[0010] The fixing means may be an adhesive, and the adhesive may be a resin material such as an ultraviolet curable resin.

[0011] The ultraviolet LED module may also have a reflector disposed around the ultraviolet LED light source. With the above configuration, the light from the ultraviolet LED light source can be diffused over a wide angle by the reflector. Therefore, the ultraviolet LED light from the ultraviolet LED light source can be evenly irradiated onto the liquid to be treated flowing through the reactor. Effect of the Invention

[0012] As described above, in the present invention, a UV-non-transparent plate is coated at the position corresponding to the contact point between the surface of the base and the LED cover, making it possible to prevent the fixing means and the surface of the base located at the contact point from being deteriorated by reflected light from the reflector or irradiation with light from the UV LED light source. [Figure 6] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of an ultraviolet sterilization device equipped with the ultraviolet LED unit of Example 1. [Figure 7] FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view of an ultraviolet sterilization device equipped with the ultraviolet LED unit of Example 2. Example 1

[0014] A first embodiment of the present invention will be described. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, (1) is an ultraviolet LED module. This ultraviolet LED module (1) includes a substantially rectangular parallelepiped base (4) with protruding pieces (3) on the back surface (2) of both sides as shown in Figure 2, and an ultraviolet LED element that is fixedly disposed in the center of the base (4) and serves as an ultraviolet LED light source (5). To describe the ultraviolet LED module (1) in more detail, as shown in Figure 2, a recess (6) is provided in the center of the resin base (4) that constitutes the ultraviolet LED module (1), and a reflector (7) is fixedly disposed on the inner periphery of the recess (6).

[0015] The ultraviolet LED light source (5) is fixed at the center of the bottom surface of the recess (6), and thus the ultraviolet LED module (1) is arranged on the outer periphery. The surface (8) of the base (4) is covered with an LED cover (10) made of a quartz plate, and thus the ultraviolet LED light source (5) fixed to the recess (6) of the base (4) as described above is protected by the LED cover (10). In this embodiment, the LED cover (10) is made of a quartz plate, but in other embodiments, it is not limited to this, and it can be made of ultraviolet-transmitting glass or fluororesin.

[0016] In addition, an adhesive (not shown), which is a fixing means in this embodiment, is applied to the contact portion (11) between the LED cover (10) and the surface (8) of the base (4), so that the LED cover (10) is fixed to the surface (8) of the base (4) in a manner that makes it difficult to remove it. Also, a flat heat sink (12) is fixed to the back surface (2) of the base (4) as shown in FIG. 2.

[0017] A plurality of ultraviolet LED modules (1) having the above-mentioned configuration are fixed to a metal frame (13) as shown in FIG. 3. That is, the frame (13) is flat, and the frame (13) has four rectangular openings (14) that are elongated in the width direction and are opened at equal intervals and parallel to each other. Two ultraviolet LED modules (1) are arranged in each opening (14). As shown in FIG. 4, the protruding piece (3) of the ultraviolet LED module (1) is arranged in contact with the back surface (15) of the frame (13), and the protruding piece (3) is fixed to the frame (13) by screws. As a result, the ultraviolet LED module (1) is fixed to the front surface (16) of the frame (13) with the ultraviolet LED light source (5) arranged thereon as shown in FIG. 3.

[0018] As shown in FIG. 5, an ultraviolet non-transmitting plate (17) is arranged to cover the surface (16) of the frame (13) on which the ultraviolet LED modules (1) are fixed. The ultraviolet non-transmitting plate (17) is a rectangular plate of approximately the same size as the frame (13) and is made of metal. The ultraviolet non-transmitting plate (17) has circular plate openings (18) slightly larger than the reflectors (7) of the ultraviolet LED modules (1) at positions corresponding to the reflectors (7). As a result, the reflectors (7) and ultraviolet LED light sources (5) of the ultraviolet LED modules (1) are exposed from the ultraviolet non-transmitting plate (17) via the LED cover (10).

[0019] In addition, a metal heat dissipation plate (20) of approximately the same size as the frame (13) is arranged to cover the back surface (15) of the frame (13) as shown in Fig. 4. This allows the heat generated by the ultraviolet LED module (1) to be efficiently dissipated to the outside through the heat dissipation plate (12) and the heat dissipation plate (20) arranged on the back surface of the ultraviolet LED module (1). Furthermore, a fan (21) capable of diffusing heat from the heat dissipation plate (20) is fixed to the inner surface of the casing (22) on the rear side of the heat dissipation plate (20) as shown in Fig. 6. The ultraviolet LED unit (23) of this embodiment is constructed as described above.

[0020] The ultraviolet LED unit (23) configured as described above is housed in a long rectangular parallelepiped casing (22) as shown in Fig. 6. That is, a reactor (24) is provided in parallel to the casing (22) from one side to the other side of the casing (22). An opening (25) at one end of the reactor (24) serves as an inlet for the liquid to be treated (not shown), and an opening (26) at the other end serves as an outlet for the liquid to be treated. The reactor (24) in this embodiment can be formed of a quartz tube, an ultraviolet-transmitting glass tube, a fluororesin tube, or the like, as described above.

[0021] As shown in Fig. 6, the ultraviolet LED module (1) is disposed at a fixed distance from the recess (27) formed in the reactor (24). As shown in Fig. 6, a reflector (28) that is long in the longitudinal direction of the reactor (24) is provided on the opposite side of the recess (27) of the reactor (24). The length of the reflector (28) is slightly longer than the length of the ultraviolet LED module (1). The reflector (28) is curved to cover the outer periphery of the recess (27) of the reactor (24), and both long sides of the reflector (28) are connected and fixed to the frame (13) of the ultraviolet LED module (1).

[0022] By assembling the reflector (28) as described above, the reflector (28) is positioned opposite the ultraviolet LED light source (5) with the reactor (24) in between, as shown in Fig. 6. Therefore, the ultraviolet LED light irradiated from the ultraviolet LED light source (5) of the ultraviolet LED module (1) hits the reflector (28) and is reflected, and the ultraviolet light is irradiated again toward the reactor (24), so that bacteria and the like in the liquid to be treated passing through the reactor (24) can be efficiently inactivated.

[0023] On the other hand, the ultraviolet LED light reflected from the reflector (28) passes through the reactor (24) and is again irradiated onto the ultraviolet LED module (1). Therefore, if the ultraviolet non-transmitting plate (17) is not disposed on the surface of the ultraviolet LED unit (23), the ultraviolet LED light passes through the LED cover (10) of the ultraviolet LED module (1) and is irradiated onto the surface (8) of the base (4) or the adhesive between the base (4) and the LED cover (10), which may cause deterioration of the base (4) and the adhesive, resulting in a decrease in quality.

[0024] However, in this embodiment, as described above, the surface of the ultraviolet LED module (1) excluding the reflector (7) is covered with the ultraviolet non-transmitting plate (17), so there is no risk of the ultraviolet LED light reflected by the reflector plate (28) being directly irradiated onto the contact portion (11) between the base (4) and the LED cover (10) in the ultraviolet LED module (1) or onto the surface (8) of the base (4) through the LED cover (10). Therefore, deterioration of the surface (8) of the base (4) and the adhesive due to irradiation with ultraviolet LED light is prevented, and the quality can be maintained at a good level. Example 2

[0025] In the first embodiment, as shown in FIG. 6, the ultraviolet LED unit (23) is provided on one side of the reactor (24), whereas in the second embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7, ultraviolet LED units (42) are provided on both sides of the reactor (41) so as to face each other. In the following description of the present embodiment, the reactor (41) is provided in parallel to the casing (43) having a long rectangular parallelepiped shape, as in the first embodiment. The reactor (41) has a flat cross section and a pair of recesses (44) that are long in the length direction and are provided facing each other. The reactor (41) is assembled to the casing (43) so that the recesses (44) are positioned horizontally in the vertical direction in FIG. 7 within the casing (43).

[0026] In addition, an ultraviolet LED unit (42) is disposed at a fixed interval opposite the recess (44) provided in the reactor (41). The ultraviolet LED unit (42) is the same as that in the first embodiment, and eight ultraviolet LED units (42) are fixedly disposed on a frame (46). As shown in FIG. 7, the ultraviolet LED module (50) is assembled in the casing (43) with the ultraviolet LED light source (47) disposed on the side facing the recess (44) of the reactor (41) at a fixed interval. In addition, an ultraviolet non-transmitting plate (55) is provided on the surface of the ultraviolet LED unit (42) as in the first embodiment.

[0027] As described above, by arranging the ultraviolet LED modules (50) on both sides of the reactor (41) facing each other, it is possible to irradiate the liquid to be treated flowing through the reactor (41) with light from both sides of the recess (44) formed in the reactor (41). This makes it possible to more effectively inactivate bacteria in the liquid to be treated. The ultraviolet sterilization device of this embodiment has the same configuration as that of the first embodiment, except that a pair of reactors (41) is provided on both sides of the reactor (41) as described above and that a reflector (28) is not provided.

[0028] On the other hand, as described above, the ultraviolet LED light emitted from one of the ultraviolet LED modules (50) passes through the reactor (41) and is irradiated to the other ultraviolet LED module (50). Therefore, if the ultraviolet non-transmitting plate (55) is not arranged in the ultraviolet LED unit (42), the ultraviolet LED light irradiated from one of the ultraviolet LED modules (50) passes through the LED cover (52) arranged on the front side of the ultraviolet LED module (50) and is irradiated to the front surface (54) of the base (51) or the adhesive between the base (51) and the LED cover (52), which may cause deterioration of the base (51) and the adhesive, resulting in a decrease in quality.

[0029] However, in this embodiment, as described above, the surfaces of the pair of ultraviolet LED units (42) except for the reflector (48) are covered with the ultraviolet non-transmitting plate (55). Therefore, there is no risk that the ultraviolet LED light emitted from one ultraviolet LED module (50) is directly irradiated through the LED cover (52) to the contact portion (53) between the base (51) and the LED cover (52) in the other ultraviolet LED module (50) or to the surface (54) of the base (51). This prevents deterioration of the adhesive of the base (51) and the contact portion (53) due to irradiation with ultraviolet LED light, and maintains good quality. [Explanation of symbols]
