Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sound-absorbing panel that can be attached to a wall surface or the like in order to reduce reverberation in a room and improve the acoustic environment of the room to one suitable for conversation, listening to music, etc. [Background technology]

[0002] Most rooms in buildings are constructed with parallel walls (wall to wall, ceiling to floor), and when the walls and floors are made of hard materials that easily reflect sound, the sound emitted from the sound source is repeatedly reflected between the parallel walls, creating a so-called flutter echo. When this flutter echo occurs, the reverberation (reverberation) remains indefinitely and mixes with the new sound emitted from the sound source, drastically reducing the clarity of the sound, creating an acoustic environment in which it is difficult to hear conversations and sounds from speakers. Conventionally, in order to prevent the above-mentioned flutter echo from occurring, sound-absorbing materials have been installed on the walls of a room, and various sound-absorbing materials have been proposed.

[0003] Among them, a type of sound-absorbing panel (for example, Patent Document 1) is known, which is constructed by filling the inside of a frame with a sound-absorbing material made of polyester fiber, etc., which is attached to a steel wall by a magnet and fixed / installed, and this sound-absorbing panel has the advantage that it can obtain the desired sound-absorbing effect, does not require special construction for installation, and can be easily installed by anyone. In addition, this sound-absorbing panel can be made multifunctional by adding antibacterial / antiviral agent components and deodorant components to the sound-absorbing material. [0004] [Patent Document 1] Patent Publication No. 2023-46505 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] The sound-absorbing panel of the type shown in Patent Document 1 must be lightweight and have a certain strength to prevent distortion of the panel so that it can be firmly fixed to the wall surface by the adhesive force of a magnet or the like in a state of close contact with the wall surface. On the other hand, when combining and arranging and fixing a plurality of sound-absorbing panels to a wall surface, if the dimensional accuracy of each sound-absorbing panel is poor, they cannot be combined and arranged on the wall surface well, so high dimensional accuracy (for example, accurate length and width dimensions and accurate angles of panel corners) is required. Here, in order to increase the dimensional accuracy of the sound-absorbing panel, a highly rigid frame body can be used, but such a frame body is heavy, making it difficult to reduce the weight of the panel.

[0006] To reduce the weight of sound-absorbing panels, it is preferable to construct the frame from thin wooden boards such as plywood. However, when the panel base is constructed by fitting sound-absorbing material inside such a frame, the panel base will have dimensional errors in the millimeter range (for example, an error of about 1 to 2 mm for a panel of about 500 mm x 500 mm), which causes a problem of errors in the angles of the corners of the panel. This is thought to be due to the dimensional errors of the frame itself, as well as the fact that the density of the sound-absorbing material made of so-called SS boards or glass wool is not uniform throughout, and therefore varies, so the force acting on the frame from the sound-absorbing material is not uniform, which causes distortion of the frame. In addition, because sound-absorbing panels are part of the interior, they are required to have a beautiful appearance. However, for example, when covering the panel base with cloth (decorative fabric), there is no established method for applying the cloth beautifully, and as a result, the appearance of the sound-absorbing panels has not been fully satisfactory.

[0007] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to solve the problems of the conventional technology as described above and to provide a manufacturing method capable of producing a sound-absorbing panel that is lightweight, has a certain strength, and has high dimensional accuracy. Another object of the present invention is to provide a manufacturing method capable of manufacturing a sound-absorbing panel which has the above-mentioned features and also has excellent appearance. [Means for solving the problem]

[0008] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention (i) reduces the weight of the panel by obtaining a planar polygonal panel base 1 as the main body of the sound-absorbing panel, in which a board-shaped sound-absorbing material 3 is fitted via adhesive 4 inside a frame 2 made of thin plate material 20 (step (A)), and (ii) restrains and fastens opposing sides of the panel base 1 before the adhesive 4 dries and hardens using fastening means 5 to determine the distance between the opposing sides of the panel base 1 (step (B)), and then allows the adhesive 4 to dry and harden while still fastened by the fastening means 5 (step (C)), thereby ensuring the strength and dimensional accuracy of the panel.

[0009] The present invention can also adopt the following preferred embodiments. That is, in step (B), (i) at multiple locations spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the opposing sides of the panel base 1, the panel base 1 is restrained and fastened by fastening means 5 between the opposing sides, and the fastening strength of each fastening means 5 is adjusted to measure the distance between the opposing sides, or (ii) a fastening jig 5x having a formwork 11 is used as the fastening means 5, the panel base 1 is fitted into the formwork 11, and the panel base 1 is fastened between the opposing sides to match the inside dimensions of the formwork 11, thereby measuring the distance between the opposing sides of the panel base 1, thereby further improving the strength and dimensional accuracy of the panel. Furthermore, by optimizing the assembly form of the frame body 2 and the sound-absorbing material 3 that constitute the panel base 1, or by optimizing the process (D) of stretching the cloth 6 over the panel base 1 after the adhesive 4 has dried and solidified, the appearance of the panel can be particularly improved.

[0010] That is, the gist of the present invention for solving the above problems is as follows. [0012] [5] In any one of the manufacturing methods [1] to [4] above, In step (B), when the panel base (1) is restrained and fastened between the opposing sides by fastening means (5), A method for manufacturing a sound-absorbing panel, characterized in that a panel base (1) is restrained and fastened between opposing sides by fastening means (5) at multiple spaced locations in the longitudinal direction of the opposing sides of the panel base (1), and the fastening strength of each fastening means (5) is adjusted to adjust the dimension of the distance between the opposing sides. [6] In the manufacturing method of the above [5], A method for manufacturing a sound-absorbing panel, wherein the fastening means (5) is a string (5a) that is wound around the opposing sides of the panel base (1) to bind and fasten the panel base (1).

[0018] The method for manufacturing a sound-absorbing panel of the present invention includes the steps of: (A) obtaining a planar polygonal panel base 1 in which a board-shaped sound-absorbing member 3 is fitted via an adhesive 4 inside a frame 2 (outer frame member) made of a thin plate material 20; (B) restraining and fastening the panel base 1 between opposing sides with a fastening means 5 before the adhesive 4 has dried and hardened, and determining the distance (length) between the opposing sides of the panel base 1; (C) drying and hardening the adhesive 4 while the panel base 1 is fastened with the fastening means 5; and (D) stretching a cloth 6 (decorative cloth) over the panel base 1 with the adhesive 4 dried and hardened so as to cover at least its front (front surface) and side surfaces. The method also generally includes the step of (E) attaching a decorative covering material to the back surface of the panel base 1 as necessary, and then providing a panel attachment means 8 such as a magnet.

[0019] The planar shape of the sound-absorbing panel manufactured by the present invention (the shape of the panel when laid flat) is a planar polygon, including, for example, a square, a rectangle, a regular hexagon, and a regular octagon. The sound-absorbing panel does not need to be flat in the thickness direction, and can have any three-dimensional shape (for example, a mountain shape, a curved shape such as a wave shape, an uneven shape, etc.). The size of the sound-absorbing panel is not particularly limited, but generally, when the panel is laid flat, the length and width of the panel are about 200 to 1500 mm, and the panel thickness is about 10 to 100 mm. 1 to 11 show an embodiment of the manufacturing method of the present invention mainly in the order of steps. This embodiment shows the case of manufacturing a sound-absorbing panel having a square planar shape. This embodiment will be described below.

[0020] The thin plate material 20 constituting the frame 2 is not particularly limited in material and may be made of, for example, resin or a wood-resin composite material, but from the viewpoint of weight reduction, it is preferable to use wood such as plywood. In addition, using wood has the advantage of being able to flexibly accommodate changes in panel size, etc. The board-shaped sound absorbing member 3 may be made of any material as long as it can provide a sound absorbing effect, but is usually made of, for example, SS board, a fiber aggregate such as polyester fiber or glass wool, preferably a short fiber aggregate. This short fiber aggregate is made by compressing short fibers such as polyester fiber to a predetermined density and forming it into a plate shape. Specifically, there is a short fiber aggregate obtained by blending polyester fiber (e.g., hollow polyester fiber) as a matrix fiber with a thermal adhesive fiber, melting the thermal adhesive fiber by heat treatment, and bonding fiber contacts of the matrix fiber with the melt. In addition, wool may be added to polyester fiber as the matrix fiber. In addition, the sound-absorbing material 3 may be a combination of two or more types of materials, or may be a combination of an actual sound-absorbing material (such as the above-mentioned short fiber aggregate) and a material having other functions (such as a reinforcing material, a deodorizing material such as a deodorizing sheet).

[0021] Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing the assembly of the panel base 1 in step (A). Fig. 2 shows the panel base 1 (sound-absorbing panel body) obtained in step (A), with Fig. 2(a) being a perspective view and Fig. 2(b) being a cross-sectional view along line bb in Fig. 2(a). In this embodiment, thin plate materials 20 are attached to each side end face of the sound-absorbing member 3 via adhesive 4, and the ends of adjacent thin plate materials 20 are connected to each other with connecting means 21 (e.g., a tacker) to form a frame 2, thereby obtaining "a planar square panel base 1 in which a board-shaped sound-absorbing member 3 is fitted via adhesive 4 inside the frame 2 formed of the thin plate materials 20." An adhesive 4 (for example, woodworking adhesive) is applied to one side of the thin plate material 20, and the thin plate material 20 is attached to each side end face of the sound absorbing member 3 via this adhesive 4. Any type of connecting means 21 may be used, but in this embodiment, a tacker is used. Needles on both ends of the tacker are driven into both ends of adjacent thin plate materials 20 to connect the thin plate materials 20 together. As will be described later, the connection of the ends of the thin plate materials 20 together using connecting means 21 such as a tacker may be performed in the next step (B).

[0022] 2, the width w (however, the width in the panel thickness direction) of the frame 2 and the thickness t of the sound-absorbing member 3 are t>w, and on the back surface 103 (panel back surface) of the panel base 1, the back surface of the sound-absorbing member 3 and the edge of the frame 2 are approximately flush, and on the front surface 101 (panel front surface) of the panel base 1, the front surface of the sound-absorbing member 3 protrudes from the edge of the frame 2. In this case, the difference between t and w, i.e., the thickness Δt of the part of the sound-absorbing member 3 protruding from the edge of the frame 2, is appropriately about 0.5 to 2.0 mm, preferably about 0.7 to 1.5 mm, and optimally about 1 mm. By providing the sound-absorbing material 3 with this extra thickness Δt, it is possible to prevent the edges of the frame 2 from protruding from the cloth 6 when the cloth 6 is stretched over the panel base 1. As a result, the cloth shape of the outer edge on the front side of the panel (outer edge e in Figures 6 and 7) is finished neatly, thereby particularly improving the appearance of the panel.

[0023] In step (A) of the present invention, the sound absorbing material 3 can be fitted into the inside of a prefabricated frame 2 via an adhesive 4 to obtain a panel base 1 in which the sound absorbing material 3 is fitted into the inside of the frame 2 via the adhesive 4. Fig. 12 shows (perspective view) the assembly state of the panel base 1 in such an embodiment. In this embodiment, the frame 2 is also constructed by assembling thin plate materials 20 via suitable connecting means (not shown, for example, a tacker) or adhesive. Adhesive 4 is applied to the inner surface of this frame 2, and the sound absorbing member 3 is fitted into it.

[0024] In the subsequent step (B), before the adhesive 4 is dried and solidified, in order to increase the dimensional accuracy of the panel base 1, the distance (length) between the opposing sides of the panel base 1 is measured using fastening means 5. Here, the opposing sides of the panel base 1 refer to sides 100a and 100c, and sides 100b and 100d in the case of the planar square panel base 1 of Fig. 2. Furthermore, determining the distance between the opposing sides of the panel base 1 means making the distance (length) between the opposing sides constant (even) in the longitudinal direction of the sides, which also increases the precision of the panel angle.

[0025] When a frame 2 made of a thin plate material 20 such as plywood is used to make the sound-absorbing panel lighter, and the sound-absorbing member 3 is fitted inside the frame to form the panel base 1, there is a risk of dimensional errors in the order of millimeters in the panel base 1 (for example, an error of about 1 to 2 mm for a panel of about 500 mm x 500 mm), and such dimensional errors will also result in errors in the angles of the panel corners. As mentioned above, this is thought to be due to the dimensional errors of the frame 2 itself, as well as the fact that the density of the sound-absorbing member 3 made of SS board, glass wool, etc. is not uniform throughout, and therefore the force acting on the frame 2 from the sound-absorbing member 3 is not uniform, causing distortion of the frame 2. In this step (B), in order to eliminate such dimensional errors, the panel base 1 before the adhesive 4 dries and solidifies is restrained and fastened between its opposing sides, i.e., between opposing sides 100a-100c and between opposing sides 100b-100d, by fastening means 5, respectively, to measure the distance (length) between the opposing sides of the panel base 1 so that the distance between the opposing sides is a constant value (i.e., uniform in the longitudinal direction of the sides). For this reason, in this embodiment, the fastening means 5 used is one that allows adjustment of the fastening strength of the panel base 1.

[0026] In this case, it is preferable to restrain and fasten the panel base 1 between the opposing sides of the panel base 1 by the fastening means 5 at multiple locations spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the opposing sides, and to adjust the fastening strength of each fastening means 5 in order to determine the dimension of the distance between the opposing sides. Here, the number of locations to be restrained and fastened by the fastening means 5 may be determined according to the size of the panel, etc., but it is preferable to restrain and fasten at least three locations, the longitudinal center of the opposing sides and both sides thereof, in order to make the distance (dimension) between the opposing sides constant (even).

[0027] In this embodiment, the tightening means 5 is a string 5a that is wound around the opposing sides of the panel base 1 to tighten the panel base 1, and the panel base 1 is tightened by tying the string 5a at three points spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the opposing sides 100a-100c of the panel base 1. The tightening strength is adjusted by changing the tying force (strength) of each string 5a so that the distance (dimension) between the opposing sides is uniform in the longitudinal direction of the sides. Figure 3 shows this state, and Figure 3(a) is a perspective view of the panel base 1 in a tightened state by tying the opposing sides with the string 5a (tightening means 5), and Figure 3(b) is a plan view of the panel base 1. Here, the string 5a may be, for example, a strip-shaped packing string made of PP. In the case of Figure 3, in order to make the distance (length) L1, L2 between the opposing sides constant (even) in the longitudinal direction of the sides, the opposing sides of the panel base 1 are fastened by tying them together at three spaced apart points in the longitudinal direction (the center in the longitudinal direction and three points on both sides thereof) with string 5a.

[0028] When the manner in which the panel base 1 is restrained and fastened in step (B) is as in this embodiment in which "the panel base 1 is restrained and fastened between opposing sides of the panel base 1 by fastening means 5 at multiple locations spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the opposing sides, and the fastening strength of each fastening means 5 is adjusted to obtain the dimension of the distance between the opposing sides," the fastening means 5 may be, for example, a dedicated fastening jig as shown below. 13 and 14 respectively show embodiments of a dedicated clamping jig which is the clamping means 5, and the clamping means 5 is composed of a clamping jig 5b (FIG. 13) and a clamping jig 5c (FIG. 14). FIG. 13(a) is a side view of the clamping jig 5b, FIG. 13(b) is a plan view of the same, and FIG. 14 is a plan view of the clamping jig 5c. The tightening jig 5b in Figure 13 has an abutment portion 51 at one longitudinal end of an elongated plate-shaped main body 50, which abuts against one opposing edge portion 100 of the panel base 1 (for example, edge portion 100a in Figure 3), and an abutment member 52 at the other longitudinal end of the plate-shaped main body 50, which abuts against the other opposing edge portion 100 of the panel base 1 (for example, edge portion 100c in Figure 3), which is movable forward and backward relative to the abutment portion 51. By moving the abutment member 52 forward and backward relative to the abutment portion 51, the panel base 1 is restrained and tightened between the abutment portion 51 and the abutment member 52, and the tightening strength can be adjusted.

[0029] In the fastening jig 5b of this embodiment, rising portions 500, 501 are provided at both ends in the longitudinal direction of an elongated plate-like main body 50, and one of the rising portions 500 constitutes an abutting portion 51. Meanwhile, the abutting member 52 is composed of a screw shaft portion 521 and an abutting portion 520 held at its tip, and is held on the plate-like main body 50 (rising portion 501) by screwing the screw shaft portion 521 into a screw hole 53 formed in the other rising portion 501. A knob 522 for rotating the screw shaft portion 521 is provided at the rear end of the screw shaft portion 521. Then, by rotating the screw shaft portion 521 to move it forward and backward with respect to the screw hole 53, the abutting member 52 can be advanced and retreated with respect to the abutting portion 51, and the fastening strength of the opposing sides of the panel base 1 can be adjusted. In addition, in order to prevent the abutment portion 520 from rotating integrally with the screw shaft portion 521 when the screw shaft portion 521 is rotated, it is preferable that the tip portion of the screw shaft portion 521 is rotatably connected to the abutment portion 520.

[0030] 3, this fastening jig 5b restrains and fastens the panel base 1 at multiple points along the longitudinal direction of the opposing sides of the panel base 1, and it is preferable to adjust the fastening strength of each fastening jig 5b in order to measure the distance between the opposing sides. In other words, it is preferable to adjust the fastening strength of each fastening jig 5b so that the distance between the opposing sides is constant (even) in the longitudinal direction of the sides. When using this fastening jig 5b, for example, the fastening jig 5b that restrains and fastens the panel base 1 between opposing sides 100a-100c may be attached to the panel base 1 so that the plate-shaped main body 50 is positioned on the front side 101 of the panel base 1, and the fastening jig 5b that restrains and fastens the panel base 1 between opposing sides 100b-100d may be attached to the panel base 1 so that the plate-shaped main body 50 is positioned on the back side 103 of the panel base 1.

[0031] 14 includes a planar rectangular frame 54 with the panel base 1 disposed inside, and abutment members 55 provided on one of the opposing side walls 540a, 540c of the frame 54 and on one of the opposing side walls 540b, 540d of the frame 54 so as to be movable forward and backward relative to the other side walls 540a, 540b. The abutment members 55 are provided at a plurality of locations (three locations each in this embodiment) spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the side walls 540c, 540d, and are movable forward and backward as described above, so that the tightening strength can be adjusted.

[0032] Each abutment member 55 includes an abutment portion 550 disposed inside the frame body 54 and a screw shaft portion 551 that holds the abutment portion 550. The screw shaft portion 551 is screwed into a screw hole 56 formed in the side wall portions 540c, 540d, so that the abutment member 55 is held by the side wall portions 540c, 540d. A knob 552 for rotating the screw shaft portion 551 is provided at the rear end of the screw shaft portion 551. By rotating the screw shaft portion 551 to move it forward and backward relative to the screw hole 56, the abutment member 55 can be moved forward and backward relative to the opposing side wall portions 540a, 540b, respectively, so that the tightening strength of the opposing sides of the panel base 1 can be adjusted. In addition, in order to prevent the abutment portion 550 from rotating integrally with the screw shaft portion 551 when the screw shaft portion 551 is rotated, it is preferable that the tip portion of the screw shaft portion 551 is rotatably connected to the abutment portion 550.

[0033] In this fastening jig 5c, the panel base 1 is placed inside the frame body 54, and of the opposing sides 100a-100c and 100b-100d of the panel base 1, sides 100a, 100b are abutted against the insides of side wall portions 540a, 540b of the frame body 54, while multiple abutment members 55 held by side wall portions 540c, 540d respectively are abutted against sides 100c, 100d to restrain and fasten the panel base 1 between side wall portions 540a, 540b, and the fastening strength is adjusted by moving the abutment members back and forth as appropriate. 3, this fastening jig 5c also restrains and fastens the panel base 1 at multiple points along the longitudinal direction of the opposing sides of the panel base 1, and adjusts the fastening strength of each abutting member 55 to measure the distance between the opposing sides. In other words, the fastening strength of each abutting member 55 is adjusted so that the distance between the opposing sides is constant (even) in the longitudinal direction of the sides. The frame 54 may have a bottom plate, that is, may be a shallow box-shaped body with an open top.

[0034] In step (B), a formwork created in advance according to the target dimensions (standard dimensions) of the panel base 1 may be used as the fastening means 5, and the panel base 1 may be fitted into this formwork to fasten the panel base 1 between opposing sides, thereby determining the distance (length) between the opposing sides. Figures 15 to 17 show one embodiment of this, with Figure 15 being a perspective view of a fastening jig 5x constituting the fastening means 5 and showing the process in which the panel base 1 assembled in step (A) is fitted into the fastening jig 5x in step (B), Figure 16 being a plan view of the fastening jig 5x, and Figure 17 being a plan view showing the panel base 1 fitted into the fastening jig 5x.

[0035] The fastening means 5 used in this embodiment is a fastening jig 5x equipped with a formwork 11 for fitting the panel base 1 inside, and in this embodiment, frame members 110a-110d are arranged in a quadrangular shape on the upper surface of a support plate 12 and fixed to the support plate 12 to form the formwork 11. In this embodiment, the panel base 1 is fitted into this formwork 11 and fastened to determine the dimensions, so naturally the inner (inside the formwork) dimensions of this formwork 11 are configured to match the target dimensions (normal dimensions) of the panel base 1. The frame members 110a to 110d are elongated rectangular prism-shaped members. Furthermore, the support plate 12 is provided with a window hole 120 in a part of the inside part of the formwork 11 to reduce weight.

[0036] The formwork 11 has a structure in which the four corners are missing (i.e., the frame members 110 are interrupted at the four corners, leaving spaces 13), but this is to ensure ease of installation of the connecting means 21 (for example, to make it easier to drive the tacker) since in this embodiment, the ends of the thin plate materials 20 constituting the frame body 2 are connected to each other with connecting means 21 such as a tacker when the panel base 1 is fitted inside the formwork 11. However, since it is sufficient for the formwork 11 to be able to fasten the panel base 1 between the opposing sides by fitting the panel base 1 inside, the structure is not limited to this embodiment, and for example, it may be a complete frame body (formwork) without any missing parts, or the frame body (formwork) may have a missing part (discontinuous part) halfway through. The materials of the support plate 12 and the frame members 110a to 110d are not important, but the support plate 12 is preferably made of wood or resin, and the frame members 110a to 110d are preferably made of square pipes made of metal such as aluminum. The fastening jig 5x may have a structure substantially consisting of the formwork 11 (that is, a structure consisting only of formwork materials).

[0037] In this embodiment, in step (B), the panel base 1 is fitted into the formwork 11 of the fastening jig 5x, and the opposing sides of the panel base 1 are fastened to fit the inside dimensions of the formwork 11, thereby determining the distance (length) between the opposing sides of the panel base 1. That is, the panel base 1 fitted into the formwork 11 has opposing sides 100a-100c fastened between frame members 110a, 110c constituting the formwork 11, and similarly, opposing sides 100b-100 are fastened between frame members 110b, 110d, thereby determining the distance (length) between the opposing sides. As shown in Figure 17, in this embodiment, with the panel base 1 fitted into the formwork 11 in step (B), tacks are driven into both ends of adjacent thin plate materials 20 (the ends of the thin plate materials 20 are connected to each other by connecting means 21).

[0038] In the subsequent step (C), the adhesive 4 is dried and solidified while the panel base 1 is fastened with fastening means 5 (e.g., string 5a and fastening jigs 5b, 5c, 5x, etc.). In this step, the adhesive 4 may be solidified by natural drying at room temperature, or a drying chamber (e.g., a hot air drying chamber) capable of drying and solidifying the adhesive 4 in a shorter time may be used. Once this step (C) is completed, the fastening means 5 (e.g., string 5a and fastening jigs 5b, 5c, 5x, etc.) are removed from the panel base 1. In the next step (D), a cloth 6 is stretched over the panel base 1 on which the adhesive 4 has dried and solidified, so as to cover at least the front surface 101 and the side surfaces 102 thereof. The cloth 6 may be made of a non-flammable woven fabric such as a glass fiber fabric, in addition to a typical woven fabric or non-woven fabric. In this step (D), since it is desired to neatly stretch the cloth 6 on the panel base 1, it is preferable to carry out, for example, the following steps (d1) to (d3) in order, and it is also preferable to further carry out step (d4).

[0039] Step (d1): As shown in Fig. 4, a double-sided adhesive tape 7 is attached via the adhesive surface of one side of the double-sided adhesive tape 7 to the entire periphery of the side surface 102 of the panel base 1. Fig. 4 shows this state, with Fig. 4(a) being a perspective view of the panel base 1 and Fig. 4(b) being a cross-sectional view taken along line bb in Fig. 4(a). Step (d2): After covering the panel base 1 with the cloth 6 so as to cover the front surface 101 thereof, the cloth 6 is aligned so that the weave of the cloth 6 coincides with the longitudinal direction of the edge 200 of the frame body 2, as shown in Fig. 5. Fig. 5 is a partial plan view showing this state. Then, with the cloth portion 60 aligned in this manner, as shown in Fig. 6, the cloth portion 60 protruding from the front surface 101 of the panel base 1 is folded toward the side surface 102 of the panel base 1, and part of it is affixed to the adhesive surface on the other side of the double-sided adhesive tape 7, temporarily fixing the cloth 6 to the panel base 1. Fig. 6 shows this state, and is a vertical cross-sectional view of part of the panel base 1 and the cloth 6.

[0040] Step (d3): As shown in Fig. 6, the cloth portion 600 protruding from the side surface 102 of the panel base 1 is folded toward the rear surface 103 of the panel base 1 as shown in Fig. 7, and is bonded to the rear surface 103 of the panel base 1 (sound-absorbing member 3) with an adhesive (for example, woodworking adhesive; the same applies below). Fig. 7 shows this state, and is a vertical cross-sectional view of part of the panel base 1 and the cloth 6. In this case, it is preferable to clamp the cloth portion 600 adhered to the rear surface 103 side of the panel base 1 with a clamp plate 9 between the panel base 1 and the cloth portion 600, and allow the adhesive to dry and solidify in this state, as shown in Fig. 8. Fig. 8 is an explanatory diagram (rear view of the panel base 1) showing the adhered cloth portion 600 clamped with a clamp plate 9.

[0041] When the cross portion 600 protruding from the side surface 102 of the panel base 1 is adhered to the back surface 103 of the panel base 1 as shown in FIG. 6, first, as shown in FIG. 8(a), the cross portion 600x on the side portions 100a and 100c of the panel base 1 is folded toward the back surface 103 of the panel base 1 and adhered to the back surface 103 of the panel base 1 via an adhesive, and a clamp plate 9 is applied to the cross portion 600x and clamped between the panel base 1. The clamp plate 9 is preferably fastened to the panel base 1 by an appropriate fastener 10 (e.g., a clip, etc.) and clamps the cross portion 600x with a predetermined clamping force. Then, the adhesive is dried and solidified in this state. The adhesive may be solidified by natural drying at room temperature, or a drying chamber (e.g., a hot air drying chamber) capable of drying and solidifying the adhesive in a shorter time may be used.

[0042] Next, as shown in Fig. 8(b), the cross portion 600y on the side portions 100b, 100d of the panel base 1 is folded towards the rear surface 103 of the panel base 1 and bonded to the rear surface 103 of the panel base 1 via an adhesive. Then, as in the case of Fig. 8(a), a clamp plate 9 is applied to this cross portion 600y and clamped between the panel base 1 and the clamp plate 9, and the adhesive is dried and solidified in this state. Step (d4): Processing of the cross portion 60 that will become the panel corner portion (corner portion) is performed. That is, adhesive is applied to the inside of the cross portion 60 that will become the panel corner portion, and the cross portion 60 is shaped to fit the corner portion of the panel base 1 (i.e., shaped to fit the shape of the corner portion of the panel base 1). After the adhesive is dried and solidified, the excess (unnecessary) cross portion 60 is cut off, and further, adhesive to prevent fraying is applied to the cut-off cross portion, completing this step (d4).

[0043] 9 (FIGS. 9-1 to 9-7) (A) to (G) and FIG. 10 are partial perspective views showing an example of a procedure for processing the cloth 6 at the panel corners, and show a part of the above-mentioned step (d3) and a specific example of step (d4). Note that for the panel base 1 in FIG. 9, the frame 2 and sound-absorbing member 3 are omitted. Fig. 9(A) shows a state in which, in step (d3), the cross portion 600x on the side 100a (and side 100c) of the panel base 1 is folded toward the rear surface 103 of the panel base 1 and bonded to the rear surface 103 of the panel base 1 via an adhesive. Although not shown in Fig. 9(A), when bonding the cross portion 600x, the adhesive is dried and solidified in a state in which the cross portion 600x is clamped with a clamp plate 9 as shown in Fig. 8(a). Once the adhesive has dried and solidified, the corner portions of the cross portion 600 (the rectangular portions surrounded by the two-dot chain line in the figure) are cut off as shown in Fig. 9(B).

[0044] Next, as shown in FIG. 9(c), the cross portion 600y on the side 100b (and side 100d) of the panel base 1 is folded toward the rear surface 103 of the panel base 1 and bonded to the rear surface 103 of the panel base 1 via an adhesive. The cross portion 600y0 protruding from the panel base 1 when the cross portion 600y is folded toward the rear surface 103 of the panel base 1 is cut off after the adhesive dries and hardens, but when the cross portion 600y is folded toward the rear surface 103 of the panel base 1, the cross portion 600y0 connected to the panel corner (ridge line of the corner) is folded as shown in FIG. 9(c). Although not shown in FIG. 9(c), when bonding the cross portion 600y, the adhesive is dried and hardened in a state in which the cross portion 600y is clamped by a clamp plate 9 as shown in FIG. 8(b). When the adhesive dries and hardens, as shown in Figures 9(d) and 10, a part of the cross portion 600y0, i.e., the cross portion 600y0 continuing to the panel corner (the ridge line of the corner) is left and the other excess cross portion 600y0 (the portion surrounded by the two-dot chain line in the figure) is cut off. Note that Figure 10 is a partial perspective view of the state of Figure 9(d) seen from another direction.

[0045] Next, as shown in Fig. 9(e), adhesive is applied (injected) to the inner panel corner of the remaining cross portion 600y0 (the cross portion folded in two), and as shown in Fig. 9(f), the cross portion 600y0 is shaped to fit the corner of the panel base 1 (i.e., shaped to fit the corner of the panel base 1). The adhesive is dried and hardened in this state, but the adhesive may also be dried and hardened in a state in which the shaped cross portion 600y0 is fixed with a clip or the like. Once the adhesive has dried and hardened, as shown in Figure 9(K), the cloth portion 600y0 (the portion surrounded by a dotted line in the figure) is cut off, and then adhesive to prevent fraying is applied to the cut-off cloth portion g. The adhesive is then dried and hardened to complete the processing of the cloth 6 at the corner of the panel.

[0046] In the next step (E), a decorative covering material is attached to the back surface 103 of the panel base 1 as necessary, and then a panel mounting means 8 is provided for mounting (attaching) the panel to a wall surface or the like. Any means can be applied as the panel mounting means 8, such as a magnet-based attachment type, an adhesive tape (e.g., double-sided adhesive tape), or a mechanical hanging type. However, from the viewpoint of ease and simplicity of installation, a method of attaching the panel to a wall surface (a wall surface to which a magnet can be attached) by a magnet is preferable. FIG. 11 is an explanatory diagram (rear view of the panel) showing a state in which such a panel mounting means 8 (magnet 80) is provided on the back surface of the panel (panel base 1). In this embodiment, magnets 80 (magnet sheets) are attached to multiple locations (four locations) on the back surface of the panel (panel base 1), and the magnets 80 are attached to the wall surface so that the panel can be detachably attached to the wall surface. When mounting the panel on a wall surface to which a magnet cannot be attached, an iron sheet can be attached to the wall surface and the magnet can be attached through the iron sheet.

[0047] As the magnet 80, a magnet sheet is usually used as in this embodiment, but the magnet is not limited to this. In addition, the wall surface to which the sound-absorbing panels are attached includes not only walls in the narrow sense but also ceiling surfaces and partition walls. In this embodiment, the sound-absorbing panel is manufactured by the above-mentioned steps. The sound-absorbing material 3 can be given either or both of the following: (i) antibacterial and antiviral properties by attaching antibacterial and antiviral agent components, and (ii) deodorizing properties by attaching deodorant components. In these cases, the respective components can be attached to the sound-absorbing material by impregnating the sound-absorbing material with the antibacterial and antiviral agent or deodorant, or by spraying the agent onto the sound-absorbing material.
