Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic preparation. [Background technology]
[0002] Emulsion cosmetics are a formulation that has been used in cosmetics because they can efficiently spread oil-soluble active ingredients, such as emollient oils, UV absorbers, oil-soluble drugs, etc., onto the skin, and because of their ease of use, they are widely used not only in skin care cosmetics but also in makeup cosmetics. Among them, oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics, in which the continuous phase is composed of an aqueous component, have the characteristics of being light and smooth to spread on the skin, providing a refreshing feel when used as a cosmetic, and improving the adhesion of the cosmetic to the skin and the makeup durability.
[0003] In order to provide such emulsion cosmetics with an ultraviolet protection effect, metal oxides such as titanium oxide having an ultraviolet scattering effect and oil-soluble ultraviolet absorbers have been used. In order to obtain a high ultraviolet protection effect, it is necessary to blend a relatively large amount of the above-mentioned metal oxides and oil-soluble ultraviolet absorbers. However, since these are powders or oils, it is difficult to stably blend them in oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics, and it is difficult to ensure stability over time, so various studies have been conducted so far. For example, Patent Document 1 describes that in an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic containing zinc oxide / titanium oxide, stability is ensured by emulsifying it with a gel composition containing polyacrylic acid amide, and further containing ethanol and xanthan gum to form an oil-in-water sunscreen cosmetic. [0004] [Patent Document 1] JP 2003-104859 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] When metal oxides are blended, the cosmetic may be easily squeaked or sticky due to the powder, resulting in a poor feeling when used. In addition, in the case of sunscreens intended for use in the summer, when the cosmetic is stored at high temperatures, the cosmetic may unintentionally spill out of the tube container when the container is turned upside down to open the lid and take out the cosmetic from the tube container. Furthermore, as mentioned above, it is difficult to ensure stability over time when metal oxides and ultraviolet absorbing agents are used in combination, but it is even more difficult to ensure stability over time at high temperatures in the summer.
[0006] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition intended to provide an ultraviolet protection effect, which has an excellent feel when used, is inhibited from spilling out of a container during use, and has high stability over time even at high temperatures. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] In order to achieve the above object, the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present invention has the following configuration.

[0015] 8. The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic according to any one of 1. to 7., wherein the content of the component (B) in the cosmetic is 3 to 30 mass %.
[0016] 9. The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic according to any one of 1. to 8., wherein the component (B) is one or more selected from the group consisting of hydrophobically treated fine zinc oxide particles, hydrophobically treated fine titanium oxide particles, and hydrophobically treated fine cerium oxide particles. Effect of the Invention
[0017] The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present invention provides a fresh, non-sticky feel when used, is inhibited from spilling out of the container during use, and is highly stable at high temperatures. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0018] Hereinafter, the embodiments of the present invention will be described. Note that the present invention is not limited to only the following embodiments. In this specification, "X to Y" indicating a range includes X and Y and means "X or more and Y or less." Furthermore, unless otherwise specified, operations and measurements of physical properties are performed under the conditions of room temperature (20 to 25°C) and relative humidity of 45 to 55% RH.
[0019] The first embodiment of the present invention comprises the following components (A) to (F); (A) (PEG-240 / Decyltetradeceth-20 / HDI) copolymer (B) Hydrophobized metal oxide particles (C) Higher alcohols with 12 to 22 carbon atoms (D) Oil-soluble UV absorbers (E) Nonionic surfactants with an HLB value of 7.0 or higher (F)Water Including, The content of the component (A) in the cosmetic is 0.05 to 0.5% by mass, and the content of the component (C) in the cosmetic is 1 to 5% by mass.
[0020] The above-mentioned configuration provides an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic that is excellent in texture, is less likely to spill out of the container during use, and has high stability over time even at high temperatures. The detailed mechanism by which the present invention achieves the above-mentioned effects is unclear, but is thought to be as follows. Note that the following does not limit the technical scope of the present invention in any way.
[0021] The above-mentioned configuration, particularly the combination of components (A), (C) and (E) and the specific blending amounts, is believed to provide a water phase structure that is easy for component (B) to exist stably. In addition, the water phase structure is believed to maintain stability over time even when a large amount of ultraviolet absorber (component (D)) is blended in the oil phase. In addition, the water phase structure allows component (B) to exist stably in the oil phase together with the ultraviolet absorber in the oil phase, and the stickiness caused by component (B) is also believed to be reduced. Therefore, an embodiment in which component (B) is dispersed in the oil phase is a preferred embodiment.
[0022] Each component constituting this embodiment will be described below. In the following description, when a component contains two or more compounds, the content of the component refers to the total content of the two or more compounds.
[0023] (Component (A): (PEG-240 / Decyltetradeceth-20 / HDI) Copolymer) Component (A) (PEG-240 / Decyltetradeceth-20 / HDI) copolymer) is a copolymer of PEG-240, Decyltetradeceth-20, and Hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI). Commercially available products of component (A) include Adekanol GT-700 (manufactured by ADEKA Corporation) and Avalure Flex-6 CC Polymer (manufactured by Lubrizol Advanced Materials).
[0024] The content of component (A) in the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic is 0.05 to 0.5% by mass. If the content of component (A) in the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic is less than 0.05% by mass, a fresh feeling in use is not obtained, and stability over time is significantly reduced. If the content of component (A) in the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic exceeds 0.5% by mass, a fresh, non-sticky feeling in use (hereinafter also referred to simply as feeling in use) is not obtained.
[0025] The content of component (A) in the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic is preferably 0.08% by mass or more, more preferably 0.1% by mass or more, in terms of usability (particularly freshness) and usability (hereinafter simply referred to as usability) in which the cosmetic does not spill (drip) from the container during use. Also, the content of component (A) in the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic is preferably 0.4% by mass or less, more preferably 0.3% by mass or less, and even more preferably 0.25% by mass or less, in terms of usability (particularly non-stickiness) and stability over time.
[0026] The component (A) may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds.
[0027] Component (A) may be combined with other water-soluble polymers, but from the viewpoints of usability (particularly reduced stickiness) and stability over time, the content of xanthan gum and / or agar in the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic is preferably less than 0.5% by mass, more preferably 0.3% by mass or less, and preferably 0.1% by mass or less, and is preferably absent.
[0028] (Component (B): Hydrophobically treated metal oxide particles) The component (B), the hydrophobized fine particle metal oxide, has its surface coated with a hydrophobizing agent to improve dispersibility.
[0029] The hydrophobized metal oxide fine particles are preferably metal oxides that block ultraviolet rays by absorbing, scattering, reflecting, extinguishing, etc., a wide range of ultraviolet rays from UVB to UVA (290 to 400 nm). In particular, from the viewpoint of high ultraviolet blocking effect, it is preferable that the metal oxide is one or more selected from the group consisting of hydrophobized zinc oxide fine particles, hydrophobized titanium oxide fine particles, and hydrophobized cerium oxide fine particles, more preferably hydrophobized zinc oxide fine particles and / or hydrophobized titanium oxide fine particles, and even more preferably hydrophobized zinc oxide fine particles. The metal oxide referred to here may be a composite powder with other powder.
[0030] The shape of the metal oxide is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include granular, spherical, spindle-shaped, dendritic, balloon-shaped, and the like. From the viewpoints of reducing white cast due to improved dispersibility in the formulation, ultraviolet protection effect, and water resistance, granular, spherical, and spindle-shaped shapes are preferred.
[0031] The hydrophobized fine particle metal oxide has, for example, an average particle diameter of 0.1 μm or less. The average particle diameter of component (B) is preferably 1 to 100 nm, more preferably 5 nm to 50 nm. The average particle diameter of component (B) is an average value obtained by randomly selecting a significant number of particles (e.g., 100 particles) from an image taken with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) in and measuring the particle diameter of each particle. The particle diameter refers to the maximum length between any two points.
[0032] The hydrophobic treatment agent used in the hydrophobic treatment is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include silicone treatment agents, organic titanate treatment agents, fluorine treatment agents, fatty acid treatment agents, lecithin treatment agents, amino acid treatment agents, acylamino acid treatment agents, etc. Among these, from the viewpoint of stability over time, etc., it is preferable that the hydrophobic treatment agent used in the hydrophobic treatment is at least one selected from the group consisting of silicone treatment agents and organic titanate treatment agents.
[0033] Examples of the silicone treatment agent include hydrogen-modified silicones such as methylhydrogenpolysiloxane (hydrogen dimethicone, methicone), chain silicones such as dimethylpolysiloxane (dimethicone), methylphenylpolysiloxane, modified silicones such as amino-modified silicone, alkyl-modified silicone, alkoxy-modified silicone, silicone resins such as trimethylsiloxysilicate and acrylic-silicone graft copolymer, silicone rubbers, partially or fully crosslinked organopolysiloxanes, silylation agents, silane coupling agents, and the like. One or more types selected from the group consisting of these can be used.
[0034] Among them, from the viewpoint of ultraviolet protection effect and stability over time, the silicone treatment agent is more preferably one or more selected from the group consisting of hydrogen-modified silicones, chain silicones, and silane coupling agents, and the hydrogen-modified silicones are more preferably methylhydrogenpolysiloxane, and the chain silicones are more preferably dimethylpolysiloxane. The silane coupling agent is not particularly limited, but is preferably a trialkoxyalkylsilane. A trialkoxyalkylsilane is a compound in which three alkoxy groups and one alkyl group are bonded to a silicon atom, and the alkoxy group reacts with a hydroxyl group or the like on the powder surface to chemically modify the powder surface. The alkoxy group in the trialkoxyalkylsilane is preferably an alkoxy group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, such as methoxy, ethoxy, or propoxy. Examples of such trialkoxyalkylsilanes include trimethoxyhexylsilane, triethoxycaprylylsilane, trimethoxyoctylsilane, trimethoxydecylsilane, trimethoxyoctadecylsilane, triethoxyhexylsilane, triethoxyoctylsilane, triethoxydecylsilane, and triethoxyoctadecylsilane.
[0035] Examples of the organic titanate treatment agent include alkyl titanates of long-chain carboxylic acid type, pyrophosphate type, phosphorous acid type, amino acid type, etc., and alkyl titanates having an alkyl group of 8 to 24 carbon atoms are preferred. Specific examples of the alkyl titanate include long-chain carboxylic acid type alkyl titanates such as isopropyl triisostearoyl titanate, isopropyl trioctanoyl titanate, isopropyl dimethacryl isostearoyl titanate, isopropyl isostearoyl diacryl titanate, diisostearoyl ethylene titanate, etc., and examples of the pyrophosphate type alkyl titanates include tetraisopropyl bis(dioctyl phosphite) titanate, tetraoctyl bis(ditridecyl phosphite) titanate, etc. Examples of the phosphorous-type alkyl titanates include isopropyl tri(dioctylpyrophosphate) titanate, bis(dioctylpyrophosphate)oxyacetate titanate, and bis(dioctylpyrophosphate)ethylene titanate, and examples of the amino acid-type alkyl titanates include isopropyl tri(N-amidoethyl-aminoethyl) titanate, etc. Among these alkyl titanates, from the viewpoints of ultraviolet protection effect and stability over time, long-chain carboxylic acid-type alkyl titanates are preferred, and isopropyl triisostearoyl titanate is more preferred.
[0036] Among these, from the viewpoint of stability over time and the like, the hydrophobizing agent used in the hydrophobizing treatment is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of trialkoxyalkylsilane, alkyl titanate, dimethylpolysiloxane, and methylhydrogenpolysiloxane, and more preferably at least one selected from triethoxycaprylylsilane, isopropyltriisostearoyl titanate, dimethylpolysiloxane, and methylhydrogenpolysiloxane.
[0037] The method of hydrophobization is not particularly limited, and can be produced by a known method. For example, a hydrophobizing agent and a metal oxide to be treated are added to a solvent, and the mixture is stirred in a ball mill or the like, and then dried as necessary, washed with water, and filtered repeatedly to remove impurities, and then dried and pulverized to obtain the desired hydrophobized metal oxide fine particles. In addition, several types of compounds that are surface treatment agents can be surface-treated simultaneously, or one of the compounds can be surface-treated in advance, and then another compound can be surface-treated.
[0038] The amount of the hydrophobizing agent in component (B) is not particularly limited, but from the viewpoint of ultraviolet protection effect and water resistance stability over time, it is preferably 0.5 to 30 mass %, more preferably 1 to 25 mass %, and even more preferably 3 to 10 mass %, based on the metal oxide before treatment.
[0039] The content of component (B) in the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic is preferably 3 to 30% by mass, more preferably 5 to 20% by mass, even more preferably 6 to 18% by mass, and even more preferably 7 to 15% by mass. By being equal to or greater than the lower limit, a more excellent ultraviolet protection effect can be obtained. By being equal to or less than the upper limit, it is more preferable in terms of the feeling of use (particularly the lack of stickiness).
[0040] The component (B) may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds.
[0041] (Component (C): higher alcohol having 12 to 22 carbon atoms) The higher alcohol having 12 to 22 carbon atoms is a monohydric alcohol having a linear or branched hydrocarbon group. Specific examples of the higher alcohol having 12 to 22 carbon atoms include behenyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol (cetearyl alcohol), myristyl alcohol, lauryl alcohol, etc. The component (C) may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds.
[0042] Among these, from the viewpoints of preventing spillage and stability over time, component (C) is preferably a higher alcohol having 16 to 22 carbon atoms, and component (C) more preferably contains at least one selected from the group consisting of behenyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, and cetostearyl alcohol, and from the viewpoint of usability (particularly reduced stickiness), component (C) more preferably contains stearyl alcohol and / or cetostearyl alcohol.
[0043] The content of component (C) is 1 to 5% by mass based on the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic. If the content of component (C) is less than 1% by mass, dripping during use occurs significantly. If the content of component (C) exceeds 5% by mass, the feeling of use decreases, particularly stickiness occurs significantly, and the stability over time decreases significantly. The content of component (C) may be 1.5% by mass or more, 2.0% by mass or more, or 2.5% by mass or more. The content of component (C) may be 4.5% by mass or less, 4.0% by mass or less, or 3.5% by mass or less. By being equal to or more than the above lower limit, the effect of suppressing dripping during use is further exerted, and by being equal to or less than the above upper limit, the feeling of use is improved and the stability over time is further improved.
[0044] (Component (D): Oil-soluble UV absorber) The oil-soluble UV absorbent contained in component (D) is not particularly limited so long as it is one that is generally used in cosmetics and the like, and may be in any form of solid, paste, or liquid.
[0045] From the viewpoint of ultraviolet protection effect, it is preferable that component (D) contains a solid or paste-like oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber. From the viewpoint of ultraviolet protection effect, it is desirable to blend a certain amount or more of a solid or paste-like oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber, but it is difficult to blend a solid or paste-like oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber uniformly into the oil phase and stably in an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic. However, according to the configuration of the present invention, even if a solid or paste-like oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber is blended (and even if a certain amount or more is blended, as described below), stability over time is guaranteed. Furthermore, according to the configuration of the present invention, stickiness caused by a solid or paste-like oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber is also reduced.
[0046] In this specification, the term "liquid" is defined as follows (Article 69-2 of the Regulations Concerning the Control of Hazardous Materials). In other words, "liquid" means that when an object is placed in a vertical test tube (a flat-bottomed cylindrical glass tube with an inner diameter of 30 mm and a height of 120 mm) to a height of 55 mm from the bottom of the test tube and the test tube is then horizontalized, it takes 90 seconds or less for the tip of the moving surface of the object to pass through a part that is 85 mm away from the bottom of the test tube. In this specification, "solid or paste" refers to a state other than the liquid state defined above. In addition, "solid or paste" also includes powder.
[0047] Examples of solid or paste-like oil-soluble UV absorbers include 2-(4-diethylamino-2-hydroxybenzoyl)benzoic acid hexyl ester, 2,4-bis{[4-(2-ethylhexyloxy)-2-hydroxy]phenyl}-6-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3,5-triazine (bisethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine), 2,4,6-tris[4-(2-ethylhexyloxycarbonyl)anilino]-1,3,5-triazine (ethylhexyl triazone), 4-tert-butyl-4'-methoxydibenzoylmethane, and 2-ethylhexyl dimethoxybenzylidene dioxoimidazolidinepropionate. Among them, from the viewpoint of ultraviolet protection effect, the solid or paste-like oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of 2-(4-diethylamino-2-hydroxybenzoyl)benzoic acid hexyl ester, 2,4-bis{[4-(2-ethylhexyloxy)-2-hydroxy]phenyl}-6-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3,5-triazine, and 2,4,6-tris[4-(2-ethylhexyloxycarbonyl)anilino]-1,3,5-triazine (ethylhexyl triazone). The solid or paste-like oil-soluble ultraviolet absorbers may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0048] The content of the solid or pasty oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber in the oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber is preferably 10% by mass or more, more preferably 15% by mass or more, and even more preferably 20% by mass or more, from the viewpoint of ultraviolet protection effect. Also, the content of the solid or pasty oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber in the oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber is preferably 70% by mass or less, and more preferably 60% by mass or less, from the viewpoint of solubility.
[0049] As component (D), a combination of the above-mentioned solid or paste oil-soluble UV absorber and a liquid oil-soluble UV absorber is also a preferred form in terms of UV protection effect and stable blending of the solid or paste oil-soluble UV absorber.Specific examples of liquid oil-soluble UV absorbers include ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, ethoxyethyl methoxycinnamate, isopropyl methoxycinnamate / diisopropyl cinnamate mixture, methyl bis(trimethylsiloxy)silylisopentyl trimethoxycinnamate, amyl paradimethylamino acid benzoate, 2-ethylhexyl paradimethylamino acid benzoate, polysilicone 15, ethylene glycol salicylate, ethylhexyl salicylate, benzyl salicylate, homomenthyl salicylate, octocrylene, and dimethyldiethylbenzalmalonate. Of these, component (D) is more preferably one or more selected from the group consisting of ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, ethylhexyl salicylate, homomenthyl salicylate, octocrylene, and polysilicone 15, and from the viewpoint of stability over time, is even more preferably ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate and / or polysilicone 15. In another preferred embodiment, component (D) contains at least ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate.
[0050] The content of component (D) in the cosmetic is preferably 3 to 20% by mass, more preferably 5 to 15% by mass, and even more preferably 5 to 10% by mass. By being equal to or higher than the lower limit, a good ultraviolet protection effect can be obtained, and by being equal to or lower than the upper limit, the cosmetic can be excellent in stability over time and in usability.
[0051] The content of component (D) in the total oil agent is preferably 50% by mass or more (upper limit 100% by mass). Since oil agents are likely to cause stickiness, there is a demand for not blending more than necessary in oil-in-water cosmetics, but in order to enhance the UV protection effect, it is necessary to blend a certain amount or more of oil-soluble UV absorber. For this reason, it is preferable that the blending ratio of component (D) in the oil agent is as high as possible, but if the content ratio of oil-soluble UV absorbers, especially solid or paste-like oil-soluble UV absorbers, is increased, the stability over time tends to decrease. In this embodiment, even if the content of component (D) in the total oil agent is as high as 50% by mass or more, the combination of components (A), (C) and (E) ensures the stability over time. The content of component (D) in the total oil agent may be 60% by mass or more, 65% by mass or more, 70% by mass or more, 75% by mass or more, or 80% by mass or more from the viewpoint of usability.
[0052] The oil in the total oils mentioned here refers to a component that is blended alone in the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic, and does not include oils used as surface treatment agents. The oil here does not include the higher alcohol with 12 to 22 carbon atoms, which is component (C). The oil in the total oils includes component (D).

When the blending amount is above the lower limit, the UV protection effect is further improved, and when the blending amount is below the lower limit, stickiness is further reduced and stability over time is further ensured.

In order to obtain even better stability over time, the HLB of component (C) is preferably 8.0 to 19.0, and more preferably 9.0 to 16.0.
[0056] Here, the HLB (hydrophile-lipophile balance) in the present invention is an index showing the balance of hydrophilicity and lipophilicity, and is calculated by the following formula (1) proposed by Oda and Teramura et al. HLB = (Σinorganic value / Σorganic value) × 10 (Equation 1) Here, Σinorganic value / Σorganic value is called IOB (inorganic-organic balance), and can be calculated by adding up the "inorganic value" and "organic value" of atoms and functional groups that make up an organic compound such as a surfactant, based on the "inorganic value" and "organic value" set for each type of atom and functional group (see Koda Yoshio, "Organic Conceptual Diagram - Basics and Applications", pp. 11-17, Sankyo Publishing, 1984).
[0057] Component (E) is not particularly limited, but specific examples thereof include alkylene glycol adducts of glycerin fatty acid esters; polyglyceryl fatty acid esters; alkylene glycol adducts of propylene glycol fatty acid esters; sorbitan oil fatty acid such as polyoxyethylene sorbitan coconut oil fatty acid, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate, polyoxyethylene sorbitan trioleate, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monostearate, polyoxyethylene sorbitan tristearate, and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monoisostearate. Alkylene glycol adducts of sorbitan fatty acid esters (more specifically, polyoxyethylene (POE)(6) sorbitan monooleate, polyoxyethylene (POE)(20) sorbitan monooleate (polysorbate 80), polyoxyethylene (POE)(40) sorbitan monooleate (PEG-40 sorbitan oleate), polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan trioleate (polysorbate 85), polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monolaurate (polysorbate 20), polyoxyethylene monostearate polyoxyethylene (POE) (60) sorbitan (polysorbate 60), polyoxyethylene (POE) (20) sorbitan tristearate (polysorbate 65), polyoxyethylene (POE) (20) sorbitan isostearate, etc.); alkylene glycol adducts of sorbitol fatty acid esters such as polyoxyethylene sorbitol monolaurate, polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetrastearate, and polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate; polyether-modified silicones; sugar fatty acid esters; polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil; polyalkylene glycol fatty acid esters; polyoxyalkylene alkyl ethers; glycerin alkyl ethers; polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ethers; alkylene glycol adducts of lanolin; polyoxyethylene phytostanol ether, polyoxyethylene phytosterol ether, polyoxyethylene cholestanol ether, polyoxyethylene cholesteryl ether; polyoxyalkylene-modified organopolysiloxanes; triester compounds of polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers and phosphoric acid. The component (E) may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds.
[0058] Among them, component (E) is preferably a solid or paste-like surfactant. Examples of solid or paste-like surfactants include polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil, polyoxyethylene phytosterol ether, polyglycerin fatty acid ester, triester compound of polyoxyethylene alkyl ether and phosphoric acid, polyoxyethylene cholesteryl ether, polyoxyethylene fatty acid ester, sucrose fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, etc. When component (E) is solid or pasty, the interface of the emulsion droplets is strengthened, and the stability over time is further improved. Note that, as component (E), a solid or paste-like surfactant and a liquid surfactant may be combined, but since the effects of the present invention are further enhanced, a form in which component (E) is composed only of a solid or paste-like surfactant is also a preferred form.
[0059] Furthermore, in order to further improve stability over time, it is more preferable that component (E) is at least one selected from the group consisting of polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil, polyoxyethylene phytosterol ether, polyglycerin fatty acid ester, and a triester compound of polyoxyethylene alkyl ether and phosphoric acid.
[0060] The polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil is not particularly limited (hereinafter, polyoxyethylene will be referred to as POE, and the numerical value in parentheses may indicate the average number of moles of oxyethylene added), so long as it has an HLB of 7 or more. Specific examples of the polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil include POE(20) hydrogenated castor oil, POE(30) hydrogenated castor oil, POE(40) hydrogenated castor oil, POE(50) hydrogenated castor oil, POE(60) hydrogenated castor oil, POE(80) hydrogenated castor oil, POE(100) hydrogenated castor oil, and POE(50) monoisostearate hydrogenated castor oil. One or more of these can be appropriately selected and used depending on the purpose.
[0061] Polyoxyethylene phytosterol ether and polyoxyethylene cholesteryl ether refer to compounds in which phytosterol and cholesterol are ether-bonded to polyoxyethylene, respectively. As long as the HLB is 7 or more, there is no particular limitation, but more specifically, the polyoxyethylene phytosterol ether includes POE(5) phytosterol, POE(10) phytosterol, POE(20) phytosterol, POE(25) phytosterol, and POE(30) phytosterol, and the polyoxyethylene cholesteryl ether includes POE(10) cholesteryl ether, POE(15) cholesteryl ether, POE(20) cholesteryl ether, POE(24) cholesteryl ether, and POE(30) cholesteryl ether. In this specification, POE(5) phytosterol may be referred to as PEG-5 phytosterol.
[0062] Examples of polyglycerol fatty acid esters include polyglyceryl-3 stearate, polyglyceryl-4 stearate, polyglyceryl-6 stearate, polyglyceryl-10 stearate, polyglyceryl-10 distearate, polyglyceryl-10 diisostearate, polyglyceryl-10 oleate, and polyglyceryl-10 isostearate.
[0063] The triester compound of polyoxyethylene alkyl ether and phosphoric acid is not particularly limited as long as it has an HLB value of 7 or more, but the fatty acid chain length is preferably in the range of 8 to 22 carbon atoms, more preferably 10 to 18 carbon atoms. The fatty acid may be either saturated or unsaturated, and may be linear or branched. The polyoxyethylene chain is preferably in the range of 1 to 20, more preferably in the range of 2 to 12. Examples of the tri-ester compound include polyoxyethylene lauryl ether phosphate, polyoxyethylene myristyl ether phosphate, polyoxyethylene cetyl ether phosphate (e.g., triceteareth-4 phosphate), polyoxyethylene stearyl ether phosphate, polyoxyethylene oleyl ether phosphate, polyoxyethylene behenyl ether phosphate, polyoxyethylene alkyl (10-15) ether phosphate, polyoxyethylene dialkyl (12-15) ether phosphate, polyoxyethylene tricetyl ether phosphate, and polyoxyethylene tristearyl ether phosphate. One type may be used alone, or two or more types may be used in combination. Among these, polyoxyethylene cetyl ether phosphate and / or polyoxyethylene stearyl ether phosphate are preferred in that they can further reduce stickiness and maintain stability over time.
[0064] The content of component (E) is preferably 0.2 to 2 mass%, more preferably 0.2 to 1.5 mass%, and even more preferably 0.25 to 0.8 mass% relative to the cosmetic. By being equal to or greater than the lower limit, the feeling of use and stability over time are more excellent, and by being equal to or less than the upper limit, the feeling of use, usability, and stability over time are excellent.
[0065] In this embodiment, a surfactant other than component (E) may be contained. However, the total HLB of the entire system is preferably 7.0 or more, more preferably 8.0 to 19.0, even more preferably 8.0 to 16.0, and even more preferably 9.0 to 16.0. The total HLB is the arithmetic mean of the HLB values of each nonionic surfactant based on the blending ratio (mass%) in the nonionic surfactant.
[0066] Total HLB = Σ(HLBA × A(%) / 100) HLBA indicates the HLB value of nonionic surfactant A.
[0067] A (%) indicates the blending ratio of nonionic surfactant A having an HLBA value in the nonionic surfactants.
[0068] (Component (F): Water) Oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics usually contain water as component (F). Water as component (F) is used as a solvent and constitutes the balance of the above-mentioned components and other components that constitute the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics. It is preferable that the water does not contain impurities, and from this viewpoint, it is preferable to use RO water, deionized water, distilled water, purified water, etc.
[0069] The blending amount of component (F) in the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic is preferably from 50 to 90 mass %, and more preferably from 60 to 80 mass %.
[0070] (optional ingredient) In addition to the above components, the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of this embodiment may appropriately contain surfactants other than component (E) (nonionic surfactants with an HLB of less than 7, anionic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants such as lecithin), water-soluble polymers other than component (A), powders other than component (B), preservatives, antioxidants, alcohols, cosmetic ingredients, antibacterial agents, sterols, fragrances, chelating agents (EDTA, etc.), etc., within a range that does not impair the effects of the present invention. However, from the perspective of the effects of the present invention, the content of the anionic surfactant in the cosmetic may be 0.1% by mass or less (lower limit 0% by mass), 0.05% by mass or less, or 0.01% by mass or less.
[0071] The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present embodiment can be applied to makeup cosmetics such as foundations, concealers, and eye colors (eye shadows); sunscreen cosmetics, base cosmetics, and skin care cosmetics including serums and emulsions, and is preferably applied to foundations, base cosmetics, and sunscreen cosmetics (including daytime serums) in which the effects of the present application are more likely to be exhibited. Methods of use include using the cosmetic with hands or fingers, and using a puff, sponge, or the like by impregnating the cosmetic with the cosmetic.
[0072] The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic is provided to consumers in various containers such as bottles, jars, tubes, etc. The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present embodiment is excellent in preventing spillage from the container, and in order to optimally exert this effect, it is preferable to store it in a tube container.
[0073] In addition, the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of this embodiment is usually cream-like due to the composition of components (A) to (F). The cream-like form provides excellent usability and portability. In addition, when filled in a tube container, even if the cosmetic is cream-like and stored in a high-temperature environment in summer, the cosmetic is prevented from flowing out of the container when the lid is opened. Here, cream-like refers to a cosmetic having a consistency value of 250 or less at 30°C. This consistency value is in accordance with JIS-K-2220:2013 and refers to a value measured 5 seconds after dropping a 30g aluminum cone.
[0074] The method for producing the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present embodiment is not particularly limited and can be any commonly known method, and specific examples thereof include a dispersion emulsification method, a phase inversion emulsification method, and a phase inversion temperature emulsification method. EXAMPLES
[0075] The effects of the present invention will be described using the following examples and comparative examples. In the examples, the notation "parts" or "%" may be used, but unless otherwise specified, it represents "parts by mass" or "% by mass". Furthermore, unless otherwise specified, each operation is performed at room temperature (25°C). In the following examples, the "remaining amount" in the blend amount (% by mass) means that the total amount is 100% by mass.
[0076] Examples 1 to 23 and Comparative Examples 1 to 9: Sunscreen cosmetics A sunscreen cosmetic composition having the formulation shown in Table 1 below was prepared.
[0077] (Manufacturing method) (1) Nos. 1 to 3 and No. 26 were mixed uniformly using a dispersion. (2) Nos. 4 to 9, 10 to 12, 13 to 19 and 20 to 25 were dissolved and dispersed by heating at 75°C. (3) The mixture obtained in (2) was added to the mixture obtained in (1), mixed, and then cooled to 40° C. to obtain a sunscreen cosmetic.
[0078] Rating 1: UV protection ability Each cosmetic was applied at 2 mg / cm2 onto a PMMA plate (HELIOPLATE HD6 manufactured by Labsphere). 2 The sample was then spread with the fingers so that the area was evenly distributed, and the sample was left to stand for 20 minutes. The SPF was then measured using an SPF analyzer (UV-2000S, manufactured by Labsphere). Ten points on a PMMA plate were measured, and the UV protection ability was judged based on the average value according to the following four-level judging criteria (see Reference 1: Journal of the Japanese Society of Cosmetic Science, 41(1):44-48 (2017)).
[0079] <4-level evaluation criteria> [Average score]:[Judgment] 25 or above: A (Excellent) 20 or more but less than 25: B (good) 10 or more but less than 20: C (acceptable) Less than 10: D (unacceptable).
[0080] Rating 2: Fresh, non-sticky feel A panel of 20 expert cosmetics evaluation members applied 10 g of each cosmetic product to their forearms and rated and scored the "freshness" and "non-stickiness" upon use using the 5-point scale below. The average score of each cosmetic product given by all panelists was then calculated and judged according to the 4-point scale below. Although moisture and stickiness are different indicators, very good means "both moisture and stickiness are very good", good means "either moisture or stickiness is good (and either one is very good) or both moisture and stickiness are good", fair means "either moisture or stickiness is average (and either one is good or better) or both moisture and stickiness are average", slightly poor means "either moisture or stickiness is slightly poor (and either one is average or better) or both moisture and stickiness are slightly poor", and poor means "at least one of moisture and stickiness is poor".
[0081] <5-level evaluation criteria> [Evaluation]:[Score] Very good: 5 points Good: 4 points Average: 3 points Slightly poor: 2 points Defective: 1 point.
[0082] <4-level evaluation criteria> [Average score]: [Judgment] Over 4.5 points: A (Excellent) Over 4.0 points and below 4.5 points: B (Good) Over 3.0 points and under 4.0 points: C (passable) 3.0 points or less: D (not acceptable).
[0083] Rating 3: Spilling from containers at high temperatures Regarding spillage at high temperatures, 15 g of each composition was filled into a tube container (volume: 20 ml) with a hole diameter (inner diameter) of 3 mm, sealed, and then placed in an upright position (with the tube mouth facing vertically downward) in a thermostatic bath at 40°C for 1 hour. When the tube was then placed in the upright position, the amount of dripping of the composition (g) was measured and judged according to the following criteria.
[0084] <Three-level evaluation criteria> [Amount of sample that dripped]:[Judgment] No dripping: A (Excellent) Dripping amount is less than 5.0g: B (good) Dripping amount is 5.0g or more: D (unacceptable).
[0085] Evaluation method 4: Stability over time (50℃ / 1 month) 30 g of each cosmetic was placed in a No. 6 standard glass bottle (Kawaguchi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and stored in a thermostatic chamber at 50°C for one month. The condition after one month was observed. Based on the results, the stability over time was judged according to the following four-level judging criteria.
[0086] <4-level evaluation criteria> [Evaluation]:[Judgment] No change in appearance observed: A (Excellent) Almost no change in appearance: B (good) No noticeable change in appearance: C (Fair) Gelation, poor texture, and even separation were observed: D (unacceptable).
[0087] The evaluation results are shown in Table 1.
