Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a tool replacement timing display device.

Background Art

[0002] In Patent Document 1, a processing line having a plurality of processing facilities each including a plurality of types of tools and a tool replacement timing display device for displaying the tool replacement timing is disclosed. The tool replacement timing display device collects, for all tools, the lifespan which is the set limit number of uses for the tool and the number of times used, from each processing facility through a network. The tool replacement timing display device calculates the remaining number which is the remaining available number of times, from the lifespan of all the collected tools and the number of times used. The tool replacement timing display device calculates the replacement time for the tool with the smallest remaining number, from the current time and the time required for processing. The tool replacement timing display device calculates, at the replacement time, the tool with the smallest remaining number and other tools whose difference in remaining number is within three times, and displays the information of those tools together with the replacement time. An operator can know the replacement timing of the tool that has been used up to the maximum lifespan and the tool that has been used up to a number of times close to the lifespan.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] Depending on the type of product processed by the processing equipment, the same type of tool may be used multiple times in a single processing. In Patent Document 1, the calculation of the replacement time assumes that the tool is used once in a single processing, and the case where the tool is used multiple times in a single processing is not considered. That is, in Patent Document 1, the replacement time is calculated on the premise that the time of a single processing is the same as the time required for a single use of the tool. In Patent Document 1, when the tool is used multiple times in a single processing, if the replacement time of the tool occurs during a single processing, there is a possibility that the replacement time will be displayed even though replacement is impossible. Therefore, there is a need for a tool replacement time display system that takes into account the number of times a tool is used in a single processing corresponding to the type of product and displays the timing of tool replacement.

Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention

[0008] A. This Embodiment: FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a processing system 1 including a tool replacement timing display device 30. The processing system 1 processes products. The processing system 1 includes a first processing facility 110, a second processing facility 120, a third processing facility 130, a control panel 20, and a tool replacement timing display device 30. Hereinafter, when the first processing facility 110, the second processing facility 120, and the third processing facility 130 are not distinguished, they are denoted as the processing facility 10. The processing facility 10 can process a plurality of types of products. In the present embodiment, the types of products that can be processed by each of the first processing facility 110, the second processing facility 120, and the third processing facility 130 are all the same. Specifically, each of the first processing facility 110, the second processing facility 120, and the third processing facility 130 can process the same ten types of products.

[0009] The processing facility 10 operates by being controlled by the control panel 20. In the present embodiment, the processing facility 10 is a machining center. The processing facility 10 includes a plurality of types of tools. In the present embodiment, the processing facility 10 includes 30 types of tools. The types of tools included in the first processing facility 110 to the third processing facility 130 are the same.

[0010] Figure 2 is a diagram for explaining the types of cutting tools used. A plurality of types of cutting tools are used in the processing equipment 10 to process products. The cutting tool used to process one type of product is denoted as the cutting tool used for that type of product. Hereinafter, the relationship between the product and the cutting tool will be briefly explained. In Figure 2, as an example, the types of cutting tools used for five types of products, namely Product A, Product B, Product C, Product D, and Product E, are shown. In the present embodiment, in the processing equipment 10, by using three types of cutting tools out of 30 types of cutting tools, one type of product is processed. As shown in Figure 2, in the first processing equipment 110, the cutting tools used to process Product A are cutting tool T1, cutting tool T4, and cutting tool T6. In the first processing equipment 110, cutting tools T3, T11, T13 to T17, T19 to T21, and T24 to T28 are not used for processing Product A to Product E. These cutting tools can be used for processing products of types other than Product A to Product E.

[0011] In the present embodiment, the cutting tools used to process products in each of the first processing equipment 110, the second processing equipment 120, and the third processing equipment 130 are not the same. As shown in Figure 2, for example, when processing Product A, the three types of cutting tools in the first processing equipment 110 and the third processing equipment 130 are the same, namely cutting tool T1, cutting tool T4, and cutting tool T6. On the other hand, in the second processing equipment 120, the cutting tools used when processing Product A are cutting tool T1, cutting tool T4, and cutting tool T8, which are different from the cutting tools of the first processing equipment 110 and the third processing equipment 130. The processing equipment 10 can process Product A using either cutting tool T6 or cutting tool T8. The types of cutting tools used in the processing of one type of product are determined in advance by the operator according to the usage status of the cutting tools, the inventory of the cutting tools, etc.

[0012] In this embodiment, among the 30 types of cutting tools, some cutting tools are used to process multiple types of products. As shown in FIG. 2, in the second processing facility 120, the cutting tool T8 is used to process product A and product C. That is, the cutting tool T8 is the cutting tool used in product A and at the same time is also the cutting tool used in product C. In the processing facility 10, some cutting tools can be used to process ten types of products.

[0013] The control panel 20 shown in FIG. 1 controls the operation of the processing facility 10. The control panel 20 is connected to the processing facility 10 and the cutting tool replacement timing display device 30 by a local network. Note that the control panel 20 may be connected to the processing facility 10 and the cutting tool replacement timing display device 30 via wireless communication.

[0014] FIG. 3 is a block diagram for explaining the cutting tool replacement timing display device 30. The cutting tool replacement timing display device 30 displays the cutting tool to be replaced. As shown in FIG. 3, the cutting tool replacement timing display device 30 includes a functional unit 31, a storage unit 32, an interface unit 33, a display unit 34, and an output unit 35. In this embodiment, the functional unit 31 includes a CPU, a ROM, and a RAM. The CPU functions as a production plan acquisition unit 311, a calculation unit 312, and a communication unit 313 by expanding the program stored in the ROM onto the RAM.

[0015] The production plan acquisition unit 311 acquires production plan information. The production plan acquisition unit 311 acquires, via the interface unit 33, the information input by the operator from the input unit of the cutting tool replacement timing display device 30 (not shown). The information input by the operator and acquired by the production plan acquisition unit 311 is referred to as production plan information.

[0016] FIG. 4 is a table representing production plan information. The production plan information includes the types of one or more products to be processed by one or more processing facilities 10 and the quantities to be processed. In the present embodiment, the production plan information includes, for each day, the types of five products to be processed by the first processing facility 110 to the third processing facility 130, the quantities to be processed for each of the five types of products, and the processing order of the five types of products in each of the first processing facility 110 to the third processing facility 130. In FIG. 4, the processing order in the first processing facility 110 is represented as "order 1", the processing order in the second processing facility 120 is represented as "order 2", and the processing order in the third processing facility 130 is represented as "order 3".

[0017] FIG. 5 is a diagram representing the remaining number of uses and the like. In FIG. 5, the remaining number of uses and the like of the cutting tools T1 to T10 in the first processing facility 110 are shown. For the sake of convenience, the storage unit 32 will be described before the description of the calculation unit 312. The storage unit 32 shown in FIG. 3 holds various information for the processing of the processing system 1. In the present embodiment, the storage unit 32 holds the production plan information, the basic information, and the production schedule by storing them. The production schedule will be described later. The basic information is information necessary for processing each of a plurality of types of products, including the current number of uses, the limit number of uses, the remaining number of uses, the forecast number of uses, and processing information. As shown in FIG. 3, the portion of the storage unit 32 that holds the basic information is denoted as the basic information holding unit 321. The basic information holding unit 321 holds the basic information for each of the processing facilities 10.

[0018] The current number of uses is the number of times the cutting tool has been used at the time when the production plan acquisition unit 311 acquires the production plan information. In the present embodiment, it is the number of times the cutting tool has been used up to the previous day. The limit number of uses is the maximum number of times the cutting tool can be used, which is determined in advance. Here, the maximum number of times that can be used is an arbitrary number determined in advance by the manufacturer or the operator. The limit number of uses can be changed by the manufacturer or the operator. The limit number of uses for each type of cutting tool is held in advance in the basic information holding unit 321.

[0019] The remaining usable times are the remaining usable times of each of the plurality of cutting tools at the time when the production plan information is acquired. The remaining usable times are the difference between the limit usable times and the current usable times. The basic information holding unit 321 executes the update of the recalculated remaining usable times and the current usable times received from the calculation unit 312. The recalculated remaining usable times and the current usable times will be described later. The forecast times are less than the limit usable times. The forecast times are arbitrary times determined in advance by the manufacturer or the operator. In the present embodiment, the forecast times are the times obtained by subtracting 10 times, 100 times, etc. from the limit usable times. Note that the forecast times may be determined individually for each type of cutting tool.

[0020] FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining the processing information. In FIG. 6, as an example, the processing information for each of product A and product B in the first processing facility 110 is shown. The processing information is information on the type of cutting tool used as the cutting tool used to process one type of product, the number of times the cutting tool is used in one processing of one type of product (the processing usage times), and the time required to process one type of product (the processing time). As shown in FIG. 6, in the first processing facility 110, to process product A, cutting tools T1, T4, and T6 are used as the cutting tools. And for each of the cutting tools used, the processing usage times for processing one product A are 10 times for cutting tool T1, 5 times for cutting tool T4, and 4 times for cutting tool T6. When cutting tool T1 is used for processing one product A and then the use shifts to cutting tool T4, it is counted that cutting tool T1 has been used once at that time. And when cutting tool T1 is used again, it is counted that cutting tool T1 has been used twice. The processing time of product A is 540 sec. The processing information for products C to E processed in the first processing facility 110 and the processing information in the second processing facility 120 and the third processing facility 130 are also held in the basic information holding unit 321 in the same manner. The processing information has been input in advance by the operator to the basic information holding unit 321.

[0021] The calculation unit 312 shown in FIG. 3 determines a production schedule based on production plan information and basic information. In the present embodiment, the calculation unit 312 acquires production plan information from the production plan acquisition unit 311 and acquires basic information from the basic information holding unit 321.

[0022] The production schedule will be described. The production schedule is a plan for one or more types of products to be processed by the first processing facility 110 to the third processing facility 130. The production schedule is represented by, for each of the one or more types of products to be processed, information on the processing facility 10 used for processing, the scheduled start time of processing, the scheduled end time of processing, and the quantity to be processed in each processing facility 10.

[0023] FIG. 7 is a diagram showing the scheduled start time and the like of processing of each product in the first processing facility 110. FIG. 7 represents a screen displayed on the display unit 34. As an example, the production schedule of products A to E processed by the first processing facility 110 will be described using FIG. 7. As described above, product A is processed in each of the first processing facility 110 to the third processing facility 130. Product A is scheduled to be processed 50 pieces at a time in the first processing facility 110. And the scheduled start time and the scheduled end time of processing of product A in the first processing facility 110 are shown. The scheduled end time is the scheduled end time when it is assumed that the limit number of uses of the cutting tool is not reached during the processing of the scheduled quantity of products. In the present embodiment, the calculation unit 312 determines that products A, B, C, D, and E are to be processed in this order in the first processing facility 110 to the third processing facility 130 according to the production plan information, and multiplies the processing time by the quantity of the product to determine the scheduled start time and the scheduled end time of each product. In the present embodiment, the scheduled start time of product B is set after the scheduled end time of product A.

[0024] FIG. 8 is a diagram for explaining an exchange schedule. FIG. 8 represents a screen displayed on the display unit 34. As an example, the exchange schedule in the first processing facility 110 will be described using FIG. 8. The production schedule includes an exchange schedule which is a schedule for tool exchange. The exchange schedule is composed of the time until the time when the tool should be exchanged and the type of the tool to be exchanged. In the present embodiment, the exchange schedule further includes a scheduled exchange time which is the time when the tool should be exchanged, the time until the forecast number of times, and the time when the forecast number of times is reached.

[0025] The calculation unit 312 calculates the remaining number of uses at each time for each of the plurality of types of tools of each processing facility 10. The calculation unit 312 determines the time until the time when the tool should be exchanged at a time before the processing by the tool in the schedule executed at the time when the calculated remaining number of uses becomes negative. As an example, the time until the time when the tool T1 provided in the first processing facility 110 should be exchanged will be described. As shown in FIG. 5, in the first processing facility 110, the remaining number of uses of the tool T1 is 371 times. Therefore, in the processing of product A with 10 processing uses of the tool T1, 37 products A can be processed using the tool T1. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 7, since the planned quantity of product A planned in the first processing facility 110 is 50, the remaining number of uses becomes negative in the processing of the 38th product A. Therefore, the calculation unit 312 determines the time until the processing of the 37th product A, which is the time before the processing by the tool in the schedule executed at the time when the remaining number of uses becomes negative at the time of the 38th product A, as the time until the time when the tool should be exchanged. The time when the processing of the 37th product A is completed becomes the scheduled exchange time. As shown in FIG. 8, in the first processing facility 110, the time until the time when the tool T1 should be exchanged is 333 min. Note that, for example, the time until the processing of the 35th product A may be used as the time until the time when the tool should be exchanged.

[0026] Furthermore, the time when the forecast number of times is reached is 10:21, and the time until the forecast number of times is reached is 324 minutes. The time until the forecast number of times is reached is the time before the machining by the cutting tool that is scheduled to be executed at the time when the difference between the forecast number of times and the current number of uses becomes negative. As shown in FIG. 5, the forecast number of times of the cutting tool T1 in the first processing facility 110 is 990 times. Therefore, in the machining of the 37th product A, the difference between the forecast number of times and the current number of uses becomes negative. Therefore, the time until the machining of the 36th product A, which is the time before the machining by the cutting tool that is scheduled to be executed at the 37th time when the difference between the forecast number of times and the current number of uses becomes negative, is set as the time until the forecast number of times is reached. The time when the 36th machining is completed becomes the time when the forecast number of times is reached. The scheduled replacement time and the time when the forecast number of times is reached are calculated based on the start time of the machining of product A in the first processing facility 110.

[0027] Note that, for example, at the start time of machining product A, if the remaining number of uses of the cutting tool T1 is less than 10, which is the number of uses for machining one product A, the time until the cutting tool T1 should be replaced and the time until the forecast number of times is reached are determined to be 0 minutes, and the scheduled replacement time and the time when the forecast number of times is reached are not determined. Also, for example, for product A, if the remaining number of uses does not become negative when the planned quantity to be machined has been machined, the time until the cutting tool T1 should be replaced, the time until the forecast number of times is reached, the scheduled replacement time, and the time when the forecast number of times is reached are not determined.

[0028] The replacement schedule is created by the calculation unit 312 for each of the first processing facility 110 to the third processing facility 130. The replacement schedule is displayed separately from the production schedule on the display unit 34.

[0029] In this embodiment, if the tool is replaced by an operator before the processing of the planned quantity of products is completed, the operator inputs new production plan information and the fact that the tool has been replaced into the tool replacement time display device 30. The calculation unit 312 updates the remaining number of uses and the current number of uses for the tool and transmits them to the basic information holding unit 321. The current number of uses of the replaced tool is updated to zero in the calculation unit 312. Then, a new production schedule is determined by the calculation unit 312.

[0030] In this embodiment, the calculation unit 312 recalculates the remaining number of uses and the current number of uses at the time when the processing of the planned quantity of products is completed in each of the processing facilities 10. After the processing of one or more types of products is performed, the calculation unit 312 transmits the recalculated remaining number of uses and the current number of uses to the basic information holding unit 321 for each of the plurality of types of tools provided in one or more processing facilities 10. In this embodiment, after the processing of five types of products is performed, the calculation unit 312 recalculates the remaining number of uses and the current number of uses for each of the 30 types of tools provided in each of the first processing facility 110 to the third processing facility 130 and transmits them to the basic information holding unit 321.

[0031] The communication unit 313 shown in FIG. 3 transmits the order of products to be processed, the quantity, and the type of tool to be used to the control panel 20 based on the production schedule. The communication unit 313 is connected to the control panel 20 via a local area network.

[0032] The interface unit 33 consists of an interface group for connecting the display unit 34, the output unit 35, and an input unit (not shown) to the functional unit 31.

[0033] The display unit 34 can display the information included in the production schedule. When the processing of one or more products is performed, the display unit 34 displays one or more cutting tools to be exchanged according to the replacement schedule. In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8, the display unit 34 displays the tool number, the time until the time when replacement should be made, the scheduled replacement time, the time until the predicted number of times, and the time when the predicted number of times is reached. The tool number displayed together with the time until the time when replacement should be made, etc. is the cutting tool to be exchanged. The cutting tool to be exchanged is also a cutting tool whose remaining number of uses becomes negative before the processing of the planned quantity of products to be processed included in the production plan information is completed.

[0034] In the present embodiment, the display unit 34 displays the cutting tools to be exchanged in the order in which they should be exchanged. As shown in FIG. 8, the cutting tools to be exchanged are displayed in ascending order of the time until the time when replacement should be made. Also, in the present embodiment, in the display unit 34, the cutting tools to be exchanged are highlighted and displayed. This makes it easy for the operator to confirm the cutting tools to be exchanged.

[0035] In the present embodiment, the display unit 34 can display the production plan information, the basic information, and the production schedule held by the storage unit 32. In the present embodiment, the display unit 34 is a display.

[0036] The output unit 35 shown in FIG. 3 outputs the cutting tool to be exchanged to the outside by voice. In the present embodiment, the output unit 35 outputs the type of the cutting tool to be exchanged and the scheduled replacement time to the outside by voice. This enables the operator to easily know the cutting tool to be exchanged.

[0037] According to the cutting tool replacement timing display device 30 of the present embodiment, the cutting tools to be exchanged are displayed on the display unit 34 according to the replacement schedule in consideration of the number of processing uses. It is possible to display the timing of replacing the cutting tool in consideration of the number of uses of the cutting tool in one processing corresponding to the type of product.

[0038] According to the tool replacement timing display device 30 of the present embodiment, in the mode where one tool is used to process a plurality of types of products in the processing of a plurality of products, it is possible to prompt an operator to replace the tool.

[0039] Also, when a plurality of types of products are processed, the replacement schedule is determined in consideration of the order of the products. For example, when a plurality of types of products are processed, compared with the mode in which the replacement schedule is determined assuming that the processing of all products starts simultaneously, the operator can effectively use the time until the tool is replaced.

[0040] Furthermore, an operator who replaces the tool can know the time until the predicted number of times is reached. Since the operator can prepare for tool replacement during the time from when the predicted number of times is reached until the remaining number of usable times is reached, it is possible to efficiently perform tool replacement.

[0041] B. Other Embodiments: B1: Other Embodiment 1: (1) In the above embodiment, the processing system 1 includes the first processing facility 110 to the third processing facility 130, and the processing facility 10 includes 30 types of tools. Note that the processing system may include a number of processing facilities other than three, such as one or four. Also, the processing facility may include a number of tools other than 30, such as 10 types or 50 types.

[0042] (2) In the above embodiment, each of the first processing facility 110, the second processing facility 120, and the third processing facility 130 can process the same ten types of products. Note that each of the first processing facility, the second processing facility, and the third processing facility may process different types of products. Also, in the present embodiment, five types of products, product A, product B, product C, product D, and product E, are processed based on the production plan information, but the production plan information may be input by the operator so that all ten types of products are processed.

[0043] (3) In the above embodiment, in the processing equipment 10, by using three types of cutting tools out of 30 types of cutting tools, one type of product is processed. For example, in the processing equipment, one type of product may be processed by using two types or five types of cutting tools.

[0044] (4) In the above embodiment, the cutting tools used for each processing equipment 10 are input by an operator into the cutting tool replacement time display device 30. For example, the cutting tools used for each processing equipment may be automatically obtained by the cutting tool replacement time display device from the manufacturer's homepage, database, etc. through network communication.

[0045] (5) In the above embodiment, the production plan information includes the processing order of five types of products in each of the first processing equipment 110 to the third processing equipment 130. For example, the production plan information may not include the processing order, and the calculation unit may determine the processing order of a plurality of products based on the quantity of the products and the remaining number of uses of the cutting tools.

[0046] (6) In the above embodiment, the production schedule includes the quantity processed in each processing equipment 10. The production plan information may include the allocation of the quantity in each processing equipment, or the calculation unit may determine the allocation of the quantity.

[0047] (7) In the above embodiment, the current number of uses is the number of times the cutting tool has been used up to the previous day. For example, in the aspect where the production plan information is the type and planned quantity of products to be processed in the afternoon, the current number of uses may be the number of times the cutting tool has been used up to the morning.

[0048] (8) In the above embodiment, the production schedule includes information on the processing equipment 10 used for processing, the scheduled start time of processing, the scheduled end time of processing, and the quantity to be processed in each processing equipment. Note that, for example, in an aspect where the processing system includes one processing equipment, the production schedule may not include information on the processing equipment used for processing and the quantity to be processed in each processing equipment.

[0049] For example, in an aspect where the processing system includes one processing equipment and one type of product is processed, the production schedule may not include information on the processing equipment used for processing, the scheduled end time of processing, and the quantity to be processed in each processing equipment, and may include the scheduled start time of processing.

[0050] (9) In the above embodiment, the calculation unit 312 determines the scheduled start time and the scheduled end time of each product by multiplying the processing time by the quantity of the product. For example, in the processing of the same type of product, after creating one, a time such as 1 minute or 30 seconds during which no processing is performed may be set. In this aspect, the operator can stop the processing equipment within the predetermined time. Before moving on to the next processing, the preparation for tool replacement can be easily performed.

[0051] (10) In the above embodiment, the replacement schedule includes the scheduled replacement time, the time until the number of forecasts, and the time when the number of forecasts is reached. For example, the replacement schedule may not include the scheduled replacement time, the time until the number of forecasts, and the time when the number of forecasts is reached. Also, for example, in an aspect where the replacement schedule includes the time until the number of forecasts is reached, the time when the number of forecasts is reached and the scheduled replacement time may not be included.

[0052] (11) In the above embodiment, the calculation unit 312 allocates the types of products to be processed and the quantities to be processed on the day when the production plan information is acquired to the first processing facility 110 to the third processing facility 130. For example, at this time, the calculation unit may determine the production schedule based on the basic information so that the product is processed more in the processing facility in which the remaining number of uses of the cutting tool used for processing the type of product in the processing facility is the largest. Further, for example, an operator may determine the types and quantities of products to be processed in each processing facility and input them into the cutting tool replacement time display device.

[0053] (12) In the above embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8, the display unit 34 represents the replacement schedule in the first processing facility 110. For example, the display unit may represent a table in which the cutting tools to be replaced in all processing facilities are arranged in the order to be replaced according to the replacement schedule.

[0054] (13) In the above embodiment, the basic information includes the current number of uses, the limit number of uses, the remaining number of uses, the forecast number of uses, and the processing information. Note that, for example, the basic information may not include the current number of uses, the limit number of uses, and the forecast number of uses.

[0055] B2. Other Embodiment 2: In the above embodiment, some of the plurality of cutting tools are used for processing a plurality of types of products. [0057] (2) For example, in the aspect where the production plan information is the types and planned quantities of products scheduled to be processed in the afternoon, the production plan information may be the types and planned quantities of products scheduled to be processed in the afternoon, and the order of processing.

[0058] (3) For example, in the aspect where the production plan information does not include the order of processing, assuming that all types of products start processing simultaneously in one processing facility, the planned start time and the planned end time of each product may be determined. Depending on the operator's work schedule and the status of other processing facilities, there may be a need to process products in an order other than the originally planned order of processing. In this aspect, when the planned end time is determined assuming that all types of products start processing simultaneously, the time until the shortest tool needs to be replaced is displayed, so that the operator can prepare for tool replacement in advance.

[0059] B4. Other Embodiment 4: (1) In the above embodiment, the basic information includes the number of forecasts, the replacement schedule includes the time until the number of forecasts is reached and the time when the number of forecasts is reached, and the display unit displays the time until the number of forecasts is reached for the tool to be replaced. For example, the basic information may not include the number of forecasts. In this aspect, the replacement schedule may not include the time until the number of forecasts is reached and the time when the number of forecasts is reached.

[0060] (2) In the aspect where the basic information includes the number of forecasts, the replacement schedule may be represented by either the time until the number of forecasts is reached or the time when the number of forecasts is reached.
