Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] However, in the above prior art, the length of the armrest during use cannot be made longer than the length of the armrest during storage.

[0005] In view of the above facts, an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle seat capable of making the length of the armrest during use longer than the length of the armrest during storage.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0006] The vehicle seat according to the first aspect includes a seat cushion, a seat back, and an armrest. The armrest is configured to be rotatable about a rotation axis in the seat width direction between a storage position where the armrest is stored on the seat back side and a use position where the armrest extends forward from the seat back. The armrest has a rotating member rotatably provided about the rotation axis, an armrest main body portion supported to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the armrest with respect to the rotating member, and a protruding fulcrum portion provided on the base end side of the armrest main body portion and protruding in the seat width direction. The seat back is provided with a stopper portion that abuts against the protruding fulcrum portion when the armrest rotates from the storage position to the use position to restrict further rotation of the armrest.

[0007] In the vehicle seat according to the first aspect, the armrest is rotatable about a rotation axis in the seat width direction between a storage position where the armrest is stored on the seat back side and a use position where the armrest extends forward from the seat back. The rotating member that forms part of the armrest is rotatably provided about the rotation axis, and the armrest main body portion is supported to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the armrest with respect to the rotating member.

[0008] Here, a protruding fulcrum portion protruding in the seat width direction is provided on the base end side of the armrest main body portion. When the armrest rotates from the storage position to the use position, the protruding fulcrum portion abuts against the stopper portion provided on the seat back to restrict further rotation of the armrest. As a result, when the armrest rotates from the storage position to the use position, the armrest main body portion can be displaced in a direction to extend the armrest with respect to the rotating member, and when the armrest reaches the use position, the displacement of the armrest main body portion is restricted. As a result, the length of the armrest during use can be made longer than the length of the armrest during storage.

[0009] In the vehicle seat according to the second aspect, in the first aspect, on the seat back, a guide portion having the stopper portion is provided so as to correspond to the movement locus of the protruding fulcrum portion when the armrest rotates between the storage position and the use position, and the protruding fulcrum portion is inserted therein.

[0010] In the vehicle seat according to the second aspect, a guide portion having a stopper portion is provided on the seat back. This guide portion is formed so as to correspond to the movement locus of the protruding fulcrum portion when the armrest rotates between the storage position and the use position, and the protruding fulcrum portion is inserted therein. Thereby, when the armrest rotates between the storage position and the use position, the protruding fulcrum portion moves along the guide portion, so that the armrest main body portion can be moved stably.

[0011] In the vehicle seat according to the third aspect, in the second aspect, the pair of left and right protruding fulcrum portions are provided on both sides in the seat width direction on the base end portion side of the armrest main body portion, and the guide portion is provided corresponding to each of the pair of left and right protruding fulcrum portions.

[0012] In the vehicle seat according to the third aspect, a pair of left and right protruding fulcrum portions are provided on both sides in the seat width direction on the base end portion side of the armrest main body portion, and guide portions are provided corresponding to each of the pair of left and right protruding fulcrum portions, so that the armrest main body portion can be moved more stably.

[0013] In the vehicle seat according to the fourth aspect, in any one of the first to third aspects, when the armrest rotates from the storage position to the use position, the armrest main body portion is configured to slide in a direction to extend the armrest by its own weight with respect to the rotating member, and when the armrest rotates from the use position to the storage position, the armrest main body portion is configured to slide in a direction to contract the armrest by its own weight with respect to the rotating member.

[0014] In the vehicle seat according to the fourth aspect, when the armrest rotates from the storage position to the use position, the armrest main body slides in the direction of extending the armrest by its own weight with respect to the rotating member, and when the armrest rotates from the use position to the storage position, the armrest main body slides in the direction of contracting the armrest by its own weight with respect to the rotating member. Thereby, the extension and contraction of the armrest can be realized without using electric power.

Effect of the Invention

[0015] As described above, according to the vehicle seat of the present invention, there is an excellent effect that the length of the armrest during use can be made longer than the length of the armrest during storage.

[0028] Figure 6 shows a lower part of the right side portion 26UR of the U-shaped portion 26U in the armrest frame 26F and its surrounding area, etc. in a state where a part of the armrest 20 and the seat back 14 are broken. In Figure 6, for the sake of convenience, the illustration of the armrest pad and the seat back pad is omitted, and the cut surface of the armrest skin 26C and the seat back skin 14C is shown by a thick line. As shown in Figure 6, a pipe portion 24R1 that forms part of the rotating member 24R is inserted into the right side portion 26UR of the U-shaped portion 26U in the armrest frame 26F. Although not shown in the figure, in the state shown in Figure 6, the upper end portion of the pipe portion 24R1 is located, for example, in the longitudinal intermediate region within the right side portion 26UR. The right side portion 26UR is slidable in the longitudinal direction of the armrest 20 with respect to the pipe portion 24R1.

[0029] As described above, the armrest main body 26 including the armrest frame 26F shown in FIG. 1 is configured to be slidable in the longitudinal direction of the armrest 20 with respect to the rotating members 24L and 24R.

[0030] FIG. 5 shows a state in which a part of the armrest 20 and the seat back 14 are broken, and the lower part of the left side portion 26UL of the U-shaped portion 26U in the armrest frame 26F and its peripheral portion are shown. In FIG. 5, for the sake of convenience, the illustration of the armrest pad and the seat back pad is omitted, and the cut surfaces of the armrest skin 26C and the seat back skin 14C are shown by thick lines. As shown in FIG. 5, the upper part 26L1 of the extension member 26L is fixed to the lower part of the left side portion 26UL of the U-shaped portion 26U from the right side of the seat. The extension member 26L extends downward along the seat while being bent. In a state where the armrest 20 is in the storage position 20X, the lower end portion 26L2 of the extension member 26L is disposed inside the portion 14B below the seat of the storage recess 14A in the seat back 14.

[0031] Also, as shown in FIG. 6, the upper part 26R1 of the extension member 26R is fixed to the lower part of the right side portion 26UR of the U-shaped portion 26U from the left side of the seat. The extension member 26R extends downward along the seat while being bent. In a state where the armrest 20 is in the storage position 20X, the lower end portion 26R2 of the extension member 26R is disposed inside the portion 14B below the seat of the storage recess 14A in the seat back 14.

[0032] Also, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the armrest 20 has protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R that are provided on the base end side of the armrest main body 26 (more specifically, the lower end portions 26L2 and 26R2 of the extension members 26L and 26R) and protrude in the seat width direction. The protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R are provided in a pair on both sides in the seat width direction on the base end side of the armrest main body 26.

[0033] As shown in FIG. 5, the left protruding fulcrum portion 28L is fixed to the central portion in the width direction (the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the extension member 26L in side view) at the lower end portion 26L2 of the left extension member 26L. Further, as shown in FIG. 6, the right protruding fulcrum portion 28R is fixed to the central portion in the width direction (the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the extension member 26R in side view) at the lower end portion 26R2 of the right extension member 26R. Note that in FIG. 6, the base end portion of the right protruding fulcrum portion 28R is shown in a broken state, but as an example, the diameter of the protruding tip portion (not shown) side of the right protruding fulcrum portion 28R is set to be smaller than that of the base end portion side.

[0034] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, guide holes 32L and 32R are formed in the main body portions 30L1 and 30R1 of the brackets 30L and 30R provided on the seat back 14 as guide portions into which the protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R are inserted. The left guide hole 32L shown in FIG. 3 is provided corresponding to the left protruding fulcrum portion 28L, and the right guide hole 32R shown in FIG. 4 is provided corresponding to the right protruding fulcrum portion 28R.

[0035] The guide holes 32L and 32R shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 are formed so as to correspond to the movement trajectories of the protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R when the armrest 20 rotates between the storage position 20X and the use position 20Y (see FIG. 7). The guide holes 32L and 32R are provided with stopper portions 34L and 34R that come into contact with the protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R when the armrest 20 rotates from the storage position 20X to the use position 20Y (see FIG. 7) and restrict further rotation of the armrest 20.

[0036] In addition, in the vehicle seat 10 of the present embodiment, when the armrest 20 rotates from the storage position 20X to the use position 20Y shown in FIG. 7 (in the direction of arrow 20R), the armrest main body 26 slides in the direction of extending the armrest 20 by its own weight with respect to the rotating members 24L and 24R (see FIG. 6 for the rotating member 24R). When the armrest 20 rotates from the use position 20Y to the storage position 20X shown in FIG. 3 etc., the armrest main body 26 slides in the direction of contracting the armrest 20 by its own weight with respect to the rotating members 24L and 24R (see FIG. 6 for the rotating member 24R).

[0037] (Operation and Effect of Embodiment) Next, the operation and effect of the present embodiment will be described.

[0038] As shown in FIG. 1, in the vehicle seat 10 of the present embodiment, the armrest 20 is rotatable around the shaft bodies 18L and 18R (see FIG. 1) in the seat width direction between the storage position 20X where it is stored on the seat back 14 side and the use position 20Y where it extends forward from the seat back 14 shown in FIG. 2. The rotating members 24L and 24R that form a part of the armrest 20 shown in FIG. 1 are provided so as to be rotatable around the shaft bodies 18L and 18R, and the armrest main body 26 is supported so as to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the armrest 20 with respect to the rotating members 24L and 24R.

[0039] Here, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R protruding in the seat width direction are provided on the base end portion side of the armrest main body portion 26. When the armrest 20 rotates from the storage position 20X to the use position 20Y (see FIG. 7), the protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R abut against the stopper portions 34L and 34R provided on the seat back 14, and further rotation of the armrest 20 is restricted as shown in FIG. 7. As a result, when the armrest 20 rotates from the storage position 20X shown in FIG. 3 to the use position 20Y shown in FIG. 7, the armrest main body portion 26 can be displaced in a direction extending the armrest 20 with respect to the rotating members 24L and 24R (see FIG. 6 for the rotating member 24R). When the armrest 20 reaches the use position 20Y, the displacement of the armrest main body portion 26 is restricted. As a result, the length of the armrest 20 during use can be made longer than the length of the armrest 20 during storage.

[0040] Also, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, guide holes 32L and 32R having stopper portions 34L and 34R are provided in the seat back 14. The guide holes 32L and 32R are formed so as to correspond to the movement trajectories of the protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R when the armrest 20 rotates between the storage position 20X and the use position 20Y (see FIG. 7), and the protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R are inserted therein. As a result, when the armrest 20 rotates between the storage position 20X and the use position 20Y (see FIG. 7), the protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R move along the guide holes 32L and 32R (see FIG. 8B), so that the armrest main body portion 26 can be moved stably.

[0041] Furthermore, in the present embodiment, the protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R are provided in a pair on both sides in the seat width direction on the base end portion side of the armrest main body portion 26, and the guide holes 32L and 32R are provided corresponding to the respective protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R of the pair on the left and right. For this reason, the armrest main body portion 26 can be moved more stably.

[0042] Further, in the present embodiment, when the armrest 20 shown in FIG. 3 rotates from the storage position 20X to the use position 20Y shown in FIG. 3 or the like, the armrest main body 26 slides in the direction of contracting the armrest 20 by its own weight with respect to the rotating members 24L and 24R (see FIG. 6 for the rotating member 24R). Thereby, the extension and contraction of the armrest 20 can be realized without using electric power.

[0043] As described above, in the present embodiment, the length of the armrest 20 during use shown in FIG. 2 can be made longer than the length of the armrest 20 during storage shown in FIG. 1.

[0044] (Supplementary Explanation of the Embodiment) In the above-described embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 8B, guide holes 32L and 32R as guide portions provided with stopper portions 34L and 34R are provided in the seat back 14, and such a configuration is preferable. As a modification of the above-described embodiment, the seat back (14) may have a configuration in which, for example, the stopper portions (34L, 34R) are provided, but the guide portions corresponding to the guide holes 32L and 32R of the above-described embodiment are not provided.

[0045] Further, in the above-described embodiment, the protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R are provided in a pair on both sides in the seat width direction on the base end side of the armrest main body 26, and the guide holes 32L and 32R are provided corresponding to the respective protruding fulcrum portions 28L and 28R of the pair on the left and right. Such a configuration is preferable. As a modification of the above-described embodiment, a configuration in which the protruding fulcrum portion is provided on one side in the seat width direction on the base end side of the armrest main body, and the guide hole as the guide portion is provided corresponding to the protruding fulcrum portion may be adopted.

[0046] In addition, in the above-described embodiment, a configuration is adopted in which the extension and contraction of the armrest 20 can be realized without using electric power. However, as a modification of the above-described embodiment, a configuration in which the extension and contraction of the armrest 20 is supported using electric power while adopting the configuration of the above-described embodiment can also be adopted.

[0047] Note that the above-described embodiment and the plurality of modifications described above can be implemented in appropriate combinations.

[0048] Although an example of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above, and it goes without saying that various modifications can be made without departing from the gist thereof.
