Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a mattress cover and bedding.

Background Art

[0002] Even for large-sized bedding such as mattresses and bed pads, it is preferable that they can be washed to wash away sweat and dirt, similar to clothes. However, when such large-sized bedding is washed in a washing machine, if it absorbs water during washing and becomes heavy, and then sags in the washing tub, the washing tub will vibrate violently, which may cause the washing machine to malfunction. Here, large-sized laundry can be made less likely to sag in the washing tub during washing by storing it in a washing net in a folded state.

[0003] Patent Document 1 discloses a pillow having a closing string that can be deformed by connecting the closing strings. Patent Document 2 discloses a towel cloth provided with fasteners, and a string can be passed between the fasteners and the towel cloth in a state where the towel cloth is wound or folded, so that the towel cloth can be deformed into a form such as a pillow.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0005] However, when washing large-sized bedding such as mattresses and bed pads by storing them in a washing net, a washing net large enough to store the large-sized bedding must be prepared separately. Also, because of its large size, it may be time-consuming to store it in the washing net.

[0006] In addition, in the inventions disclosed in Patent Documents 1 and 2, the pillow is deformed by connecting a closing string, or the string is passed between the fastener and the towel fabric in a state where the towel fabric is wound or folded, thereby deforming the towel fabric. Therefore, even if it is deformed into a form that is easy to wash, there is a problem that it takes time and effort.

[0007] The present invention has been made in view of the problems of the conventional techniques as described above, and an object thereof is to provide a mattress cover and bedding that can be easily washed in a washing machine without taking time and effort.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0008] To achieve the above object, the mattress cover of the present invention is a mattress cover that covers a mattress having two side surfaces extending in a first direction and two side surfaces extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, a cover body that covers the mattress, and a pressing member attached so as to cover at least a part of a covering portion that covers one main surface of the mattress in the cover body, wherein both ends of the pressing member in the first direction are not joined to the cover body, and at least a part of both ends in the second direction is joined to the cover body.

[0009] To achieve the above object, the bedding of the present invention is a pad-shaped bedding that wraps the contents with a covering material and has two end sides extending in a first direction and two end sides extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and has a pressing member attached to the covering material on one surface of the bedding, wherein both ends of the pressing member in the first direction are not joined to the covering material, and at least a part of both ends in the second direction is joined to the covering material.

Effects of the Invention

[0010] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a form that is easy to wash with a washing machine without much effort.

Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention

[0012] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0013] (First Embodiment) 〈Mattress〉 First, an example of a mattress covered with the mattress cover of the present invention will be described.

[0014] FIG. 1 is an external perspective view showing an example of a mattress covered with the mattress cover of the present invention.

[0015] Examples of the mattress covered with the mattress cover of the present invention include, for example, as shown in FIG. 1, a mattress 2 having two main surfaces 31a and 31b and four side surfaces 32a to 32d.

[0016] The main surfaces 31a and 31b are rectangles having the first direction d1 as the longitudinal direction, and are arranged opposite to each other.

[0017] The side surfaces 32a and 32b connect the main surfaces 31a and 31b at both longitudinal ends of the main surfaces 31a and 31b, respectively. As a result, the side surfaces 32a and 32b each extend in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction d1. The side surfaces 32c and 32d connect the main surfaces 31a and 31b at both short sides of the main surfaces 31a and 31b, respectively. As a result, the side surfaces 32c and 32d each extend in the first direction d1.

[0018] The mattress 2 configured as described above may be made of a low-resilience or high-resilience material such as urethane. Further, the main surfaces 31a and 31b may have irregularities.

[0019] <Configuration of Mattress Cover> Next, an embodiment of the configuration of the mattress cover of the present invention will be described by way of example.

[0020] FIG. 2 is an external perspective view showing an embodiment of the mattress cover of the present invention. FIG. 3 is a top view of the mattress cover 1 shown in FIG. 1, and FIG. 4 is a side view of the mattress cover 1 shown in FIG. 1 as viewed from the direction of arrow A in FIG. 3. FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along line B-B at portion C shown in FIG. 3, and FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view taken along line B-B at portion D shown in FIG. 3.

[0021] As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6, the present embodiment is a mattress cover 1 having a cover body 10 and a pressing member 20.

[0022] The cover body 10 covers and houses the mattress 2 shown in FIG. 1 and has two covering portions 11a and 11b and four gusset portions 12a to 12d.

[0023] The covering portion 11a is an example of the first covering portion in the present invention. The covering portion 11a has substantially the same shape as the main surface 31a of the mattress 2 and covers the main surface 31a when the mattress 2 is accommodated in the cover body 10. The covering portion 11b is an example of the second covering portion in the present invention. The covering portion 11b has substantially the same shape as the main surface 31b of the mattress 2 and covers the main surface 31b when the mattress 2 is accommodated in the cover body 10.

[0024] The flange portion 12a has substantially the same shape as the side surface 32a of the mattress 2 and covers the side surface 32a when the mattress 2 is accommodated in the cover body 10. The flange portion 12b has substantially the same shape as the side surface 32b of the mattress 2 and covers the side surface 32b when the mattress 2 is accommodated in the cover body 10. The flange portion 12c has substantially the same shape as the side surface 32c of the mattress 2 and covers the side surface 32c when the mattress 2 is accommodated in the cover body 10. The flange portion 12d has substantially the same shape as the side surface 32d of the mattress 2 and covers the side surface 32d when the mattress 2 is accommodated in the cover body 10.

[0025] The covering portions 11a, 11b and the flange portions 12a to 12d are made of the same fabric such as a mesh. For example, they may be made of a fabric such as nylon and polyurethane, or their synthetic fibers. The covering portions 11a, 11b and the flange portions 12a to 12d, and further, the flange portions 12a to 12d are joined by being connected at their end edges by sewing or the like. However, the covering portions 11a, 11b and the flange portions 12a, 12b may be formed of a continuous single covering material, and the covering portions 11a, 11b and the flange portions 12a, 12b and the flange portions 12c, 12d may be joined by sewing or the like at their end edges.

[0026] The covering portion 11a is provided with an opening 13 through which the mattress 2 can pass. The opening 13 is preferably provided in a region along the end side that is connected to the flange portion 12b of the covering portion 11a. For example, when the covering portions 11a and 11b and the flange portions 12a and 12b are formed of a single continuous covering material, the covering material wraps the mattress 2 in the longitudinal direction, and the covering portion 11a has an overlapping portion 14 where the covering materials overlap. The end portion 15 of the overlapping portion 14 may be used as the opening 13. In that case, in the overlapping portion 14, for example, the portion extending from the flange portion 12b side of the covering material overlaps under the portion extending from the side opposite to the flange portion 12b of the covering material, and an opening 13 is formed between the end portion 15 of the portion extending from the side opposite to the flange portion 12b of the covering material and the region of the covering material that overlaps the end portion 15.

[0027] The pressing member 20 is made of a stretchable mesh fabric. For example, it may be made of a fabric such as nylon, polyurethane, or their synthetic fibers. The pressing member 20 is attached so as to cover the covering portion 11a along the entire end side that is connected to the flange portion 12a, which is one of the two end sides of the covering portion 11a in the first direction d1. Thereby, the pressing member 20 is attached so as not to overlap the opening 13. The two end portions 22c and 22d of the pressing member 20 in the second direction d2 are joined to the connecting portions between the covering portion 11b and the flange portions 12c and 12d. Thereby, the pressing member 20 covers not only the covering portion 11a but also the flange portions 12c and 12d along the end side connected to the flange portion 12a. In this way, the two end portions 22c and 22d of the pressing member 20 in the second direction d2 are joined to the cover body 10. On the other hand, the two end portions 22a and 22b of the pressing member 20 in the first direction d1 are not joined to the cover body 10.

[0028] 〈Method of storing the mattress〉 Next, a method of storing the mattress 2 shown in FIG. 1 in the above-described mattress cover 1 will be described.

[0029] Figs. 7a to 7d are diagrams for explaining a method of accommodating the mattress 2 shown in Fig. 1 in the mattress cover 1 shown in Fig. 2.

[0030] When accommodating the mattress 2 shown in Fig. 1 in the mattress cover 1 shown in Fig. 2, first, as shown in Fig. 7a, place the mattress cover 1 with the covering part 11a on the upper surface, and let the short-side side surface 32a of the mattress 2 enter through the opening 13. At this time, on the covering part 11a, there is a superimposing part 14 provided such that a part extending from the flange part 12b side of the covering material constituting the covering part 11a overlaps under a part extending from the side opposite to the flange part 12b of the covering material, and the end part 15 of this superimposing part 14 forms the opening 13. Therefore, at the superimposing part 14, let the mattress 2 enter between the part extending from the flange part 12b side of the covering material and the part extending from the side opposite to the flange part 12b of the covering material through the opening 13.

[0031] Then, as shown in Fig. 7b, let the mattress 2 enter between the covering part 11a and the covering part 11b through the opening 13, and as shown in Fig. 7c, bring the side surface 32a of the mattress 2 into contact with the flange part 12a of the mattress cover 1.

[0032] At this time, at the superimposing part 14, the mattress 2 is in a state of having entered between the part extending from the flange part 12b side of the covering material constituting the covering part 11a and the part extending from the side opposite to the flange part 12b of the covering material. Thereby, the side surface 32d of the mattress 2 is not covered by the flange part 12b of the mattress cover 1.

[0033] Therefore, as shown in Fig. 7d, lift the part extending from the flange part 12b side of the covering material constituting the covering part 11a onto the main surface 31a of the mattress 2 as indicated by the arrow E in the figure. Thereby, the main surfaces 31a and 31b of the mattress 2 are respectively covered by the covering parts 11a and 11b, and the side surfaces 32a to 32d of the mattress 2 are respectively covered by the flange parts 12a to 12d, and the mattress 2 shown in Fig. 1 is covered and accommodated in the mattress cover 1 shown in Fig. 2.

[0034] In this way, by having the opening 13 through which the mattress 2 can pass in the covering portion 11a, the mattress 2 can be easily accommodated in the mattress cover 1. Further, since the end portion 15 of the overlapping portion 14 where the covering materials constituting the covering portion 11a overlap forms the opening 13, it is possible to prevent the mattress 2 accommodated in the mattress cover 1 from accidentally falling off the mattress cover 1 during washing or the like.

[0035] <Usage method during washing> Next, the usage method when washing the mattress 2 accommodated in the mattress cover 1 will be described.

[0036] Figs. 8a to 8c are diagrams for explaining the usage method when washing the mattress 2 accommodated in the mattress cover 1.

[0037] When washing the mattress 2 accommodated in the mattress cover 1 as described above, first, as shown in Fig. 8a, with the covering portion 11a on the inside, starting from the side where the pressing member 20 of the mattress cover 1 is not attached, the mattress 2 is rolled up together with the mattress cover 1 in the direction of arrow F in the figure.

[0038] Then, after the portion where the mattress 2 is rolled up together with the mattress cover 1 reaches the end portion 22b on the side opposite to the engaging portion 12a of the pressing member 20, as shown in Fig. 8b, the pressing member 20 is lifted from that end portion 22b in the direction of arrow G in the figure. As described above, both end portions 22a and 22b of the pressing member 20 in the first direction d1 are not joined to the cover main body 10. Therefore, the pressing member 20 can be lifted from its end portion 22b in the direction of arrow G in the figure. At this time, if the pressing member 20 is made of an expandable and contractible fabric as described above, it becomes easier to lift the pressing member 20 in the direction of arrow G in the figure. When the pressing member 20 is lifted in the direction of arrow G in the figure, a space is created between the covering portion 11a and the pressing member 20, and this space becomes the accommodating portion 21.

[0039] After that, while lifting the pressing member 20 in the direction G in the drawing to form the accommodating portion 21, the mattress 2 is further rolled up together with the mattress cover 1, and as shown in FIG. 8c, the mattress 2 rolled up together with the mattress cover 1 is entirely accommodated in the accommodating portion 21.

[0040] In the form in which the mattress 2 rolled up together with the mattress cover 1 is entirely accommodated in the accommodating portion 21 in this way, the pressing member 20 causes the mattress cover 1 to act like a washing net because both end portions 22c, 22d in the second direction d2 are joined to the cover body 10, enabling the mattress 2 to be easily washed. In particular, even if the mattress 2 is large, it can be made into a compact form and is less likely to shift in the washing tub during washing.

[0041] And because the mattress cover 1 acts like a washing net, it is possible to form a configuration that allows the mattress 2 to be easily washed in a washing machine without the need to separately prepare a washing net for washing the mattress 2, saving time and effort. Also, by configuring the pressing member 20 from a mesh fabric, it becomes less likely for dirt to accumulate in the accommodating portion 21 during washing.

[0042] In this embodiment, both end portions 22c, 22d of the pressing member 20 in the second direction d2 are joined to the connecting portion between the covering portion 11b and the flange portions 12c, 12d. However, both end portions 22c, 22d of the pressing member 20 in the second direction d2 may be joined to the connecting portion between the covering portion 11a and the flange portions 12c, 12d. However, when both end portions 22c, 22d of the pressing member 20 in the second direction d2 are joined to the connecting portion between the covering portion 11b and the flange portions 12c, 12d, the elongation margin of the pressing member 20 becomes larger. Thereby, the pressing member 20 is more likely to elongate, making it easier to lift the pressing member 20 when accommodating the mattress 2 rolled up together with the mattress cover 1 in the accommodating portion 21.

[0043] Further, in the present embodiment, the pressing member 20 is attached so as to cover the covering portion 11a along the entire length of the edge that is connected to the flange portion 12a which is one of the two end edges of the covering portion 11a in the first direction d1. However, the pressing member 20 may be attached so as to cover the covering portion 11a in the vicinity of one of the two end edges of the covering portion 11a in the first direction d1. Also, the pressing member 20 may be attached along a part of the edge that is connected to the flange portion which is one of the two end edges of the covering portion 11a in the first direction d1. In this case, when washing the mattress 2 housed in the mattress cover 1, after folding the mattress 2 according to the length of the pressing member 20 in the second direction d2, the mattress 2 is rolled up as described above and housed in the housing portion 21 of the mattress cover 1. Further, the pressing member 20 may be attached so as to cover the middle portion of the two end edges of the covering portion 11a in the first direction d1. In this case, the mattress 2 is rolled up from both sides in the first direction d1, and the rolled-up portions from both sides of the mattress 2 are respectively housed in the housing portion 21 of the mattress cover 1.

[0044] Also, in the present embodiment, both end portions 22a, 22b of the pressing member 20 in the first direction d1 are not joined to the cover body 10. However, in order to obtain the above-described effect, the end portion 22a on the flange portion 12a side of the two end portions 22a, 22b of the pressing member 20 in the first direction d1 may be joined to the cover body 10. However, it is easier for the pressing member 20 to extend and it is easier to lift the pressing member 20 when housing the rolled-up mattress 2 together with the mattress cover 1 in the housing portion 21 if neither of the both end portions 22a, 22b of the pressing member 20 is joined to the cover body 10.

[0045] Also, in the present embodiment, both end portions 22c, 22d of the pressing member 20 in the second direction d2 are joined to the cover body 10. However, it is sufficient that at least a part of the both end portions 22c, 22d of the pressing member 20 in the second direction d2 is joined to the cover body 10.

[0046] Further, in the present embodiment, the opening 13 is provided in the covering portion 11a. However, the opening 13 may be provided in the covering portion 11b as long as it does not overlap with the pressing member 20.

[0047] The size of the above-described mattress cover 1 can be appropriately set according to the size of the mattress 2 to be accommodated. As the mattress 2, for example, it may have a size obtained by dividing the size of a single bed in the longitudinal direction into four parts. In that case, the length in the longitudinal direction of the mattress 2 becomes the length in the short direction of the single bed, and the length in the short direction of the mattress 2 becomes the length obtained by dividing the length in the longitudinal direction of the single bed into four parts. In such a form, during use, the mattress 2 accommodated in the mattress cover 1 has four accommodating portions capable of accommodating the mattress 2, and the mattress 2 accommodated in the mattress cover 1 is accommodated in each of the four accommodating portions of the accommodating member having an outer shape of a single bed size.

[0048] (Second Embodiment) <Configuration of Bedding> Next, an embodiment will be described as an example of the configuration of the bedding of the present invention.

[0049] FIG. 9 is an external perspective view showing an embodiment of the bedding of the present invention. FIG. 10 is a side view of the bed pad 101 shown in FIG. 9 as viewed from the direction of arrow H in FIG. 9. FIG. 11 is a sectional view taken along line I-I shown in FIG. 9, and FIG. 12 is a sectional view taken along line J-J shown in FIG. 9.

[0050] As shown in FIGS. 9 to 12, the present embodiment is a bed pad 101 having a main body portion 110 and a pressing member 120.

[0051] The main body portion 110 is configured by sandwiching a cushion material 102 as a content between two covering portions 111a and 111b arranged opposite to each other. As the cushion material 102, for example, it may be made of nylon and polyurethane, or a synthetic fiber material thereof. However, as will be described later, it is preferable that the bed pad 101 can be folded.

[0052] The two covering parts 111a and 111b are rectangles each having a longitudinal direction, and their peripheral edges are covered by the edge member 113 so as to be joined to each other. As a result, the bed pad 101 has two end sides 112c and 112d extending in the first direction d1 and two end sides 112a and 112b extending in the second direction d2 orthogonal to the first direction d1. And the cushion material 102 as the content is in a form wrapped by the covering parts 111a and 111b as the covering material. The covering parts 111a and 111b are made of a covering material made of, for example, fabrics such as nylon and polyurethane and their synthetic fibers. Further, the covering parts 111a and 111b may be subjected to quilting so that the cushion material 102 sandwiched between the covering parts 111a and 111b does not shift significantly.

[0053] The edge member 113 is made of a covering material made of, for example, fabrics such as nylon and polyurethane and their synthetic fibers, and joins the covering parts 111a and 111b to each other by sewing or the like in a state of covering the peripheral edges of the covering parts 111a and 111b.

[0054] The pressing member 120 is made of an expandable and contractible fabric. For example, it may be made of a fabric such as nylon and polyurethane and their synthetic fibers. The pressing member 120 is attached to cover the covering part 111a in the vicinity of the corner formed by the two end sides 112b and 112c of the bed pad 101 with respect to the covering part 111a. As a result, the pressing member 120 is attached to cover the covering part 111a along a part of the end side 112b of the bed pad 101 which is one of the two end sides of the covering part 111a in the first direction d1. For example, in the present embodiment, it is attached along a half region of the end side 112b of the bed pad 101. The end portions 122c and 122d of the pressing member 120 in the second direction d2 are joined to the covering part 111a. On the other hand, the both end portions 122a and 122b of the pressing member 120 in the first direction d1 are not joined to the covering part 111a.

[0055] In the bed pad 101 configured as described above, anti-slip members 114 are attached to the surface of the covering portion 111a, so that anti-slip processing is performed. Also, anti-slip members 123 are attached to the surface of the pressing member 120, so that anti-slip processing is performed. Note that in the region of the surface of the covering portion 111a covered by the pressing member 120, the anti-slip member 114 may not be attached. The anti-slip members 114 and 123 may be made of, for example, nylon and polyurethane, their synthetic fibers, or the like. Also, the attachment pattern of the anti-slip members 114 and 123 to the covering portion 111a and the pressing member 120 can be appropriately set, such as dot-like or stripe-like patterns. The pressing member 120 is preferably made of a fabric that can be stretched and contracted and to which the anti-slip member 123 can be attached. Examples of such a fabric include nylon and polyurethane, and their synthetic fibers.

[0056] The above-described anti-slip processing is for preventing the bed pad 101 from slipping off the mattress of the bed when the bed pad 101 is placed on the mattress. Therefore, during use, the bed pad 101 is placed on the mattress such that the covering portion 111a becomes the lower surface. Thereby, the bed pad 101 is prevented from slipping off the mattress. Also, although the pressing member 120 is attached to cover a part of the covering portion 111a, anti-slip members 123 are attached to the surface of the pressing member 120, so that anti-slip processing is performed. Thereby, even in a configuration where the pressing member 120 is attached to the covering portion 111a that has been subjected to anti-slip processing, it is possible to avoid the effect of preventing the bed pad 101 from slipping off the mattress from being impaired by the pressing member 120.

[0057] 〈Usage method during washing〉 Next, the usage method when washing the bed pad 101 will be described.

[0058] Figs. 13a to 13c are diagrams for explaining the usage method when washing the bed pad 101 shown in Figs. 9 to 12.

[0059] When washing the bed pad 101 configured as described above, first, as shown in Fig. 13a, with the pressing member 120 exposed, fold the main body portion 110 in the short side direction (the direction of arrow K in the figure) according to the length of the pressing member 120 in the second direction d2. In this embodiment, the pressing member 120 is attached along half of the region of the end side extending in the short side direction of the main body portion 110. Therefore, the main body portion 110 is folded in half in the short side direction.

[0060] Next, as shown in Fig. 13b, fold the double-folded main body portion 110 in the direction of arrow L in the figure from the end side where the pressing member 120 is not attached so that the surface where the pressing member 120 is attached is on the inside among the covering portions 111a that are exposed on the front and back due to being double-folded.

[0061] After that, after the folded main body portion 110 reaches the end portion 122a on the side opposite to the end side 112b of the pressing member 120, lift the pressing member 120. As described above, the pressing member 120 has the end portions 122c, 122d in the second direction d2 joined to the covering portion 111a, while the both end portions 122a, 122b in the first direction d1 are not joined to the covering portion 111a. Therefore, the pressing member 120 can be lifted with the end portions 122c, 122d joined to the covering portion 111a. At this time, if the pressing member 120 is made of a stretchable fabric as described above, it becomes easier to lift the pressing member 120. When the pressing member 120 is lifted, a space is generated between the covering portion 111a and the pressing member 120, and this space becomes the accommodating portion 121.

[0062] Then, as shown in FIG. 13c, the folded main body 110 is pushed into the accommodating portion 121 formed by lifting the pressing member 120 and accommodated in the direction of arrow M in the figure. At this time, as described above, if the anti-slip member 114 is not attached to the region of the surface of the covering portion 111a covered by the pressing member 120, when the folded main body 110 is accommodated in the accommodating portion 121, it can be avoided that the anti-slip members 114 come into contact with each other and make it difficult to accommodate the folded main body 110 in the accommodating portion 121.

[0063] In the form in which the main body 110 is thus accommodated in the accommodating portion 121, the pressing member 120 acts like a washing net because both end portions 122c and 122d in the second direction d2 are joined to the covering portion 111a, and the bed pad 101 can be easily washed. In particular, although the bed pad 101 is large, it can be made into a compact form and can be prevented from shifting in the washing tub during washing.

[0064] And since the pressing member 120 that acts like a washing net is provided on the bed pad 101 itself, it is possible to make it into a form that is easy to wash in a washing machine without taking much trouble and without separately preparing a washing net for washing the bed pad 101.

[0065] In this embodiment, the pressing member 120 is attached to cover the covering portion 111a near the corner formed by the two end sides 112b and 112c of the bed pad 101. However, the pressing member 120 may be attached to cover the covering portion 111a along at least a part of the end side 112b (or end side 112a) of the bed pad 101, which is one of the two end sides of the covering portion 111a in the first direction d1. For example, the pressing member 120 may be attached along a part of the central portion of the end side 112b of the bed pad 101. In that case, when folding the main body portion 110 in its short side direction during washing, it is preferable to fold the vicinity of the ends 122c and 122d of the pressing member 120 in the second direction as folding portions so that the pressing member 120 is exposed. Further, the pressing member 120 may be attached to the middle portion between the two end sides of the covering portion 111a in the first direction d1. In this case, the main body portion 110 is folded from both sides in the first direction d1, and the rounded portions from both sides of the main body portion 110 are respectively accommodated in the accommodating portion 121 of the pressing member 120.

[0066] Also, in this embodiment, both ends 122a and 122b of the pressing member 120 in the first direction d1 are not joined to the covering portion 111a. However, in order to obtain the above-described effects, the end 122b on the end side 112b of the bed pad 101 among the two ends 122a and 122b of the pressing member 120 in the first direction d1 may be joined to the covering portion 111a. However, it is easier for the pressing member 120 to stretch and it is easier to lift the pressing member 120 when accommodating the folded main body portion 110 in the accommodating portion 121 if neither of the two ends 122a and 122b of the pressing member 120 is joined to the covering portion 111a.

[0067] Also, in this embodiment, both ends 122c and 122d of the pressing member 120 in the second direction d2 are joined to the covering portion 111a. However, it is sufficient that at least a part of both ends 122c and 122d of the pressing member 120 in the second direction d2 is joined to the covering portion 111a.

[0068] (Other Embodiments of the Bed Pad) In the bed pad 101 shown in FIGS. 9 to 12, anti-slip members 114 and 123 are respectively attached to the surface of the covering portion 111a to which the pressing member 120 is attached and the surface of the pressing member 120 among the covering portions 111a and 111b, so that anti-slip processing is performed.

[0069] However, anti-slip processing may be performed on the covering portion 111b to which the pressing member 120 is not attached. In that case, when in use, the bed pad is placed on the mattress of the bed so that the covering portion 111b becomes the lower surface. Thereby, the bed pad is prevented from slipping off the mattress. In such a configuration, it is not necessary to perform anti-slip processing on the surfaces of the covering portion 111a and the pressing member 120.

[0070] In the above-described embodiment, the bed pad 101 is described as an example of bedding. However, the bedding of the present invention is not limited to the bed pad 101 as long as it is a pad-shaped one that wraps the contents with a covering material and has two end sides extending in a first direction and two end sides extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction.
