Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] By the way, in the seat skin, a configuration may be adopted in which two skin pieces are sewn together, and skin pieces adjacent to both of the two skin pieces are sewn together, forming three surfaces that intersect each other on the front side of the seat skin. In this case, the planned sewing line is bent so as to bend at the intersection of the three skin pieces, but the sewing along such a bent planned sewing line is performed in a single sewing.

[0005] However, in a single sewing, it is difficult to drop the sewing needle at the point where the sewing direction is changed due to the sewing pitch, so it is difficult to sew accurately according to the bent planned sewing line. Here, if it is not possible to sew accurately according to the bent planned sewing line, wrinkles will occur near the intersection of the three surfaces that intersect each other on the front side of the seat skin.

[0006] In view of the above facts, an object of the present invention is to obtain a seat skin structure, a vehicle seat, and a method for manufacturing a seat skin that can prevent wrinkles from occurring in the vicinity of the intersection of three surfaces that intersect each other on the front side of the seat skin.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0007] The seat skin structure of the first aspect is a structure of a seat skin that is placed on a pad material of a vehicle seat, in which a V-shaped first notch is formed in a first seam allowance, and a first skin piece that linearly extends in a direction in which a seam allowance portion on one side and a seam allowance portion on the other side intersect each other with respect to the first notch in the first seam allowance, a second skin piece, and a third skin piece are stitched together. A second seam allowance that is overlapped with the seam allowance portion on the one side of the first seam allowance is provided on the second skin piece, and a third seam allowance that is overlapped with the seam allowance portion on the other side of the first seam allowance is provided on the third skin piece. A joined skin piece in which a V-shaped second notch is formed at the boundary between the second seam allowance and the third seam allowance, and a stitching portion that stitches the first seam allowance, the second seam allowance, and the third seam allowance in a state where the first notch and the second notch are aligned. The stitching portion is provided such that a first stitching line extending in the extending direction of the seam allowance portion on the one side and a second stitching line extending in the extending direction of the seam allowance portion on the other side intersect in an X shape.

[0008] Note that the concept of "linearly extending" includes not only those that extend straight in a strict sense, but also those that can be grasped as extending almost straight with a slight curve (the same applies to the third aspect described later).

[0009] According to the seat skin structure of the first aspect, the first skin piece in which a V-shaped first notch is formed at the first seam allowance extends linearly in a direction in which the seam allowance portion on one side and the seam allowance portion on the other side cross each other with respect to the first notch at the first seam allowance. On the other hand, in the joined skin piece formed by stitching the second skin piece and the third skin piece, a second seam allowance that overlaps with the seam allowance portion on one side of the first seam allowance is provided on the second skin piece, and a third seam allowance that overlaps with the seam allowance portion on the other side of the first seam allowance is provided on the third skin piece. A V-shaped second notch is formed at the boundary between the second seam allowance and the third seam allowance. Here, in a state where the first notch and the second notch are aligned, the stitching portion that stitches the first seam allowance, the second seam allowance, and the third seam allowance is provided such that a first stitching line extending in the extending direction of the seam allowance portion on the one side and a second stitching line extending in the extending direction of the seam allowance portion on the other side cross in an X shape. Therefore, regardless of the setting of the stitching pitch, it is possible to stitch accurately in accordance with the bent planned stitching line.

[0010] The vehicle seat according to the second aspect includes a seat cushion that supports the buttocks and thighs of the seated occupant and a seat back that supports the back of the seated occupant, and at least one of the seat cushion and the seat back has the seat skin structure of the first aspect.

[0011] According to the vehicle seat of the second aspect, the buttocks and thighs of the seated occupant are supported by the seat cushion, and the back of the seated occupant is supported by the seat back. Since the seat skin structure possessed by at least one of the seat cushion and the seat back is the one of the first aspect, the above-described effects can be obtained.

[0012] In the method for manufacturing a sheet skin of the third aspect, a V-shaped first notch is formed in the first seam allowance, and a first skin piece that linearly extends in a direction in which a seam allowance portion on one side and a seam allowance portion on the other side cross each other with respect to the first notch in the first seam allowance, a second skin piece, and a third skin piece are sewn together to form a joined skin piece in which a second seam allowance that overlaps the seam allowance portion on the one side of the first seam allowance is provided on the second skin piece and a third seam allowance that overlaps the seam allowance portion on the other side of the first seam allowance is provided on the third skin piece, and a V-shaped second notch is formed at the boundary between the second seam allowance and the third seam allowance. In the method for manufacturing a sheet skin having a stitching portion that stitches the first seam allowance, the second seam allowance, and the third seam allowance with the first notch and the second notch aligned, with the end edge on the one side of the first notch and the end edge on the second seam allowance side of the second notch aligned, the seam allowance portion on the one side and the second seam allowance are overlapped, and a first stitching line that extends in the extending direction of the seam allowance portion on the one side is formed by stitching the seam allowance portion on the one side and the second seam allowance. Further, with the end edge on the other side of the first notch and the end edge on the third seam allowance side of the second notch aligned, a part of the seam allowance portion on the other side and a part of the third seam allowance are stitched at an extension position of the stitched portion in a state where the seam allowance portion on the other side and the third seam allowance are overlapped. This is the first stitching step. After the first stitching step, with the seam allowance portion on the other side and the third seam allowance overlapped, a second stitching line that extends in the extending direction of the seam allowance portion on the other side and crosses the first stitching line in an X shape is formed by stitching a part of the seam allowance portion on the one side that is at the extension position of the seam allowance portion on the other side and a part of the second seam allowance that overlaps it, and further stitching the seam allowance portion on the other side and the third seam allowance. This is the second stitching step. Note that the "stitched portion" in the first stitching step refers to the portion that has already been stitched in the first stitching step.

[0013] According to the method for manufacturing the seat skin of the third aspect, in the first stitching step, with the end side on one side of the first notch and the end side on the second sewing allowance side of the second notch being aligned, the sewing allowance portion on one side of the first sewing allowance and the second sewing allowance are overlapped, and the one-sided sewing allowance portion and the second sewing allowance are stitched so as to form a first stitching line extending in the extending direction of the one-sided sewing allowance portion. Further, with the end side on the other side of the first notch and the end side on the third sewing allowance side of the second notch being aligned, the other-sided sewing allowance portion and the third sewing allowance are overlapped, and a part of the other-sided sewing allowance portion and a part of the third sewing allowance are stitched at the extension position of the stitched portion. In the second stitching step after the first stitching step, with the other-sided sewing allowance portion and the third sewing allowance being overlapped, a second stitching line extending in the extending direction of the other-sided sewing allowance portion and intersecting the first stitching line in an X shape is formed. Thus, a part of the one-sided sewing allowance portion located at the extension position of the other-sided sewing allowance portion and a part of the second sewing allowance overlapping therewith are stitched, and further, the other-sided sewing allowance portion and the third sewing allowance are stitched. As a result, since the first stitching line and the second stitching line intersect in an X shape, regardless of the setting of the stitch pitch, it is possible to stitch accurately in accordance with the bent planned stitching line.

Advantages of the Invention

[0014] As described above, according to the present invention, there is an excellent effect that it is possible to prevent wrinkles from occurring in the vicinity of the intersection of the three surfaces intersecting each other on the front side of the seat skin.

[0025] The main part side skin piece 32 and the rear side skin piece 34 are sewn together to form a joined skin piece 30, a part of which is shown in FIG. 3. The joined skin piece 30 is provided with a second seam allowance 32B overlapped with the seam allowance part 20A1 on one side of the first seam allowance 20A in the main part side skin piece 32 and a third seam allowance 34B overlapped with the seam allowance part 20A2 on the other side of the first seam allowance 20A in the rear side skin piece 34. The third seam allowance 34B extends in a direction intersecting the second seam allowance 32B. Further, a V-shaped second notch 30N is formed at the boundary between the second seam allowance 32B and the third seam allowance 34B. This second notch 30N is formed by a part of the notch 32N and a part of the cut part 34K shown in FIG. 2.

[0026] Figure 4 shows an enlarged view of the vicinity of the intersection 40 of the side support skin piece 20, the main part side skin piece 32, and the rear skin piece 34 of the cushion skin 12C shown in Figure 1, as viewed from the outside in the sheet width direction. As shown in Figure 4, in the cushion skin 12C, a stitching portion S2 is provided in which the first seam allowance 20A, the second seam allowance 32B, and the third seam allowance 34B are stitched together with the first notch 24N and the second notch 30N aligned. The stitching portion S2 is provided such that a first stitching line S21 extending in the extending direction of the seam allowance portion 20A1 on one side and a second stitching line S22 extending in the extending direction of the seam allowance portion 20A2 on the other side intersect in an X shape.

[0027] In the figure, the first main stitching portion, which is the stitching portion between the seam allowance portion 20A1 on one side of the first seam allowance 20A and the second seam allowance 32B in the first stitching line S21, is denoted by the symbol S21a, and the first extended stitching portion extended from the first main stitching portion S21a in the first stitching line S21 is denoted by the symbol S21b. The first main stitching portion S21a includes the intersection of the first stitching line S21 and the second stitching line S22. Also, in the figure, the second main stitching portion, which is the stitching portion between the seam allowance portion 20A2 on the other side of the first seam allowance 20A and the third seam allowance 34B in the second stitching line S22, is denoted by the symbol S22a, and the second extended stitching portion extended from the second main stitching portion S22a in the second stitching line S22 is denoted by the symbol S22b. The second main stitching portion S22a includes the intersection of the first stitching line S21 and the second stitching line S22.

[0028] Further, the first seam allowance 20A, the second seam allowance 32B, and the third seam allowance 34B stitched at the stitching portion S2 constitute a portion (hanging portion) that is hung into the hanging groove (not shown) of the cushion pad 12P (see Figure 1).

[0029] Next, the manufacturing method of the above-described cushion skin 12C will be described. The manufacturing method of the cushion skin 12C of the present embodiment includes the following steps.

[0030] First, the seam allowance 22A disposed on the outer side in the sheet width direction in the first side skin piece 22 shown in FIG. 2 and the seam allowance 24A disposed on the inner side in the sheet width direction in the portion constituting the portion from the middle part to the front part in the sheet front-rear direction of the second side skin piece 24 are overlapped and sewn in a middle-to-surface manner to form the side support skin piece 20 partially shown in FIG. 3. Also, the seam allowance 32A disposed on the rear side of the sheet in the main part side skin piece 32 shown in FIG. 2 and the outer portion in the sheet width direction of the seam allowance 34A disposed on the front side of the sheet in the rear side skin piece 34 are overlapped and sewn in a middle-to-surface manner to form the joint skin piece 30 partially shown in FIG. 3.

[0031] Next, the side support skin piece 20 and the joint skin piece 30 are sewn at the first main sewing portion S21a shown in FIG. 5, and then sewn at the first extension sewing portion S21b. More specifically, with the end side 24N1 on one side of the first notch 24N and the end side 30N1 on the second seam allowance 32B side of the second notch 30N aligned, the seam allowance portion 20A1 on one side of the first seam allowance 20A and the second seam allowance 32B are overlapped, and the first sewing line S21 extending in the extending direction of the seam allowance portion 20A1 on one side is formed. The seam allowance portion 20A1 on one side and the second seam allowance 32B are sewn at the first main sewing portion S21a. Further, with the end side 24N2 on the other side of the first notch 24N and the end side 30N2 on the third seam allowance 34B side of the second notch 30N aligned, a part of the seam allowance portion 20A2 on the other side and a part of the third seam allowance 34B are sewn at the first extension sewing portion S21b at the extended position of the sewn portion (first main sewing portion S21a) (first sewing step). In FIG. 5, for easy understanding of the sewing location, the orientation of the joint skin piece 30 is made the same as in FIG. 3, but the joint skin piece 30 is sewn with the second seam allowance 32B and the third seam allowance 34B on the right side in the figure (the same applies to FIG. 6).

[0032] Next, the side support skin piece 20 and the joint skin piece 30 are sewn together with a second extension stitch S22b shown in FIG. 6, and then sewn together with a second main stitch S22a. Specifically, with the seam allowance part 20A2 on the other side of the first seam allowance 20A and the third seam allowance 34B overlapping, a second stitch line S22 is formed that extends in the extending direction of the seam allowance part 20A2 on the other side and intersects the first stitch line S21 in an X shape. A part of the seam allowance part 20A1 on one side at the extended position of the seam allowance part 20A2 on the other side and a part of the second seam allowance 32B overlapping it are sewn together with the second extension stitch S22b, and further, the seam allowance part 20A2 on the other side and the third seam allowance 34B are sewn together with the second main stitch S22a (second sewing step).

[0033] In the cushion skin 12C shown in FIGS. 1 and 4 manufactured including the above-described first sewing step and second sewing step, as shown in FIG. 4, since the first stitch line S21 and the second stitch line S22 intersect in an X shape, regardless of the setting of the stitch pitch, it is possible to sew accurately according to the bent planned stitch line. Thereby, it is possible to prevent wrinkles from occurring in the vicinity of the intersection 40 (the part where the corner is formed) of the three surfaces of the surface of the side support skin piece 20, the surface of the main part side skin piece 32, and the surface of the rear skin piece 34 that intersect each other on the front side of the cushion skin 12C shown in FIG. 1. Therefore, in the present embodiment, the appearance quality of the cushion skin 12C can be improved.

[0034] In the above embodiment, the seat skin structure and the method for manufacturing the seat skin of the present invention are applied to the cushion skin 12C of the seat cushion 12. However, the seat skin structure and the method for manufacturing the seat skin of the present invention may also be applied to the seat back skin of the seat back, or may be applied only to the seat back skin of the seat back. For example, the seat skin structure and the method for manufacturing the seat skin of the present invention may be applied to a seat skin provided with a concave armrest storage portion formed in the seat back of the rear seat.

[0035] In the above-described embodiment, the second notch 30N shown in FIG. 3 is formed by a part of the notch 32N of the main part side skin piece 32 as the second skin piece shown in FIG. 2 and a part of the cut part 34K of the rear side skin piece 34 as the third skin piece. However, the second notch may be formed by, for example, a part of the first cut part obliquely cut at the corner of the second skin piece and a part of the second cut part obliquely cut at the corner of the third skin piece.

[0036] In the above-described embodiment, the side support skin piece 20 as the first skin piece shown in FIG. 1 is assumed to be formed by sewing the first side skin piece 22 and the second side skin piece 24. However, the first skin piece may be formed of a single skin piece.

[0037] Note that the above-described embodiment and the plurality of above-described modification examples can be implemented in appropriate combinations.

[0038] Although an example of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above, and it goes without saying that various modifications can be made without departing from the gist of the present invention other than the above.
