Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention
[0012] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail. However, the description of the constituent elements described below is an example (representative example) of the embodiments of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to the following contents unless the gist thereof is changed. In this specification, when the expression "~" is used, it is used as an expression including the numerical values before and after it.
[0013] [Detection device of the present invention] The detection device of the present invention includes a container for collecting an IC tag for medical materials used in a package of medical materials, a housing for housing the container, a first antenna disposed on the inner wall of the housing for detecting the IC tag for medical materials, and a rotating unit for rotating the container within the housing, and is a detection device for medical materials.
[0014] [Detection method of the present invention] The detection method of the present invention is a detection method for medical materials using a detection device for medical materials having a container for collecting an IC tag for medical materials used in a package of medical materials, a housing for housing the container, a first antenna disposed on the inner wall of the housing for detecting the IC tag for medical materials, and a rotating unit for rotating the container within the housing, wherein the package is one to be discarded after taking out the medical materials to be packaged, and the method includes a step of housing the container in the housing with the container collecting a plurality of the IC tags for medical materials, and a step of detecting the IC tag for medical materials collected in the container while rotating the rotating unit.
[0015] According to the detection device and the detection method of the present invention, the IC tag attached to the package of medical materials can be detected efficiently. In the present application, the detection method of the present invention can also be performed by the detection device of the present invention, and the corresponding configurations in the present application can be used mutually.
[0016] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing an embodiment of the detection device of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram showing an embodiment of a housing or the like used in the detection device of the present invention. The detection device includes a container, a housing, a first antenna, and a rotating part. The container is housed in the housing. A package with an IC tag attached is collected in the container. The first antenna is arranged around the container in the housing. The container can be rotated in the housing by the rotating part. The rotating part can be rotated by a user turning a handle. The housing is attached with casters and can also be moved. A user sensor is attached outside the housing. The user sensor detects the user.
[0017] Information detected by the first antenna in the housing and the user sensor outside the housing is received by the receiving unit. Information received by the receiving unit and the like is processed by the control unit. The control unit is also connected to the memory and can appropriately call information stored in the memory or write information to the memory. The control unit can identify the medical material corresponding to the information of the IC tag detected by the first antenna. The control unit can compare the information of the user detected by the user sensor with the information detected by the first antenna.
[0018] FIG. 3 is a flowchart showing an embodiment of the detection method of the present invention. Step S11 is a step of accommodating the IC tag. This accommodating step can be to accommodate the IC tag for medical materials collected in a plastic bag or the like in the container in the housing as appropriate. Next, step S21 is a step of detecting the IC tag. When performing this detection, the container can be rotated by the rotating part to detect the IC tag for medical materials at a plurality of timings. Next, step S31 is a step of identifying the medical material corresponding to the detected IC tag for medical materials. Thereby, the IC tag for medical materials accommodated in the container in the housing can be efficiently detected.
[0019] [Package] The package wraps medical materials. The shape, material, size, etc. of the package are appropriately adjusted according to the medical materials. As the shape of the package, for example, a bag shape, a box shape, etc. can be used. Also, as the material of the package, resin, paper, aluminum vapor-deposited products, etc. can be used.
[0020] [Medical materials] Medical materials are a general term for medical devices, instruments, and pharmaceuticals used to provide medical services. Medical materials are stored and managed while being contained in the package.
[0021] [IC tag] The IC tag has an inlet composed of an IC (Integrated Circuit) chip and an antenna connected thereto. Furthermore, a protective material for protecting the inlet, a processing material for pasting, etc. are combined. The IC tag can also be wirelessly read in batches by using a corresponding reader or the like by means of RFID technology. As the IC tag, one using radio waves in the HF band or the UFH band can be used. Also, either an active tag or a passive tag may be used. Since it is often required to detect a plurality of IC tags collectively, a UHF band tag that can be detected from a distance is preferable. Also, since it can be detected using the first antenna in a closed space inside the housing, a passive tag can be used.
[0022] [IC tag for medical materials] The IC tag for medical materials is an IC tag used on the package of medical materials. The IC tag for medical materials to be detected by the detection device of the present invention can be recovered from the package of used medical materials. As the IC tag for medical materials to be detected, those peeled off from the package may be used, or those may be used in a state of being still attached to the package. Since it is easier to detect each IC tag when the distances between a plurality of IC tags are farther apart, and since the package can be considered as a cushioning material, it may be detected while still attached to the package. When the package is an object to be detected such as an aluminum vapor-deposited product that tends to inhibit radio waves, it is more preferable to selectively recover the IC tag portion and reduce the aluminum vapor-deposited material portion.
[0023] [Container] The container is a container for recovering the IC tag for medical materials. As the container, a rectangular parallelepiped shape, a weight shape, a cylindrical shape, etc. can be used. For these containers, the medical IC tag can be recovered in a plastic bag or the like in advance, and this plastic bag can be attached and used. A plurality of medical IC tags can be collected and used in this container. As the container, a basket-shaped one with many open parts as the shape, a resin-made one as the material, etc. can be used so as to be less likely to inhibit radio waves for detecting the IC tag.
[0024] For medical materials, for example, even in one operation, approximately 50 to 200 pieces are used. As the container, one that can recover and accommodate the IC tags for medical materials of the package that packaged such a number of medical materials can be used.
[0025] [Housing] The housing is for accommodating the container. Further, the housing can be provided with a first antenna, a user sensor, a rotating part, etc. The housing can be sized to be easy for the user to use. For example, the width and depth can be about 30 cm to 1 m, and the height can be about 50 cm to 1.5 m.
[0026] [Electromagnetic Shield] The housing preferably has electromagnetic shielding properties. When detecting according to the present invention, inside the housing, the IC tag for medical materials to be detected is arranged in a state of being collected in the container. Also, the first antenna for detecting the IC tag for medical materials is arranged inside the housing. On the other hand, since it is used at the medical site, there may be IC tags etc. attached to the packages of unused medical materials placed around the detection device. In such a situation, in order to selectively detect the used IC tag for medical materials etc. inside the housing without detecting the unused items outside the housing, the housing preferably has electromagnetic shielding properties. This electromagnetic shield may be of the so-called waterproof level and such that light does not leak. As the material, those made of metal with excellent conductivity etc. can be used. Also, if necessary, for the lid etc. of the opening used for taking in and out the container etc., a radio wave mesh curtain etc. may be used in combination.
[0027] The housing can have a door that opens and closes for accommodating the container etc. Also, the housing can have a door closed sensor for detecting that the door of the housing is closed. By using the door closed sensor, it can be confirmed that the door is in a closed state when detecting the medical IC tag. If used with the door open, there is a risk of erroneously detecting other IC tags for medical materials at the medical site outside the housing. In particular, when the housing has electromagnetic shielding properties, if the door is open, the electromagnetic shielding performance may not be fully exerted, so it can be surely grasped that the door is in a closed state. As the door closed sensor, for example, a contact displacement sensor, a photoelectric sensor, a laser sensor etc. can be used.
[0028] [First Antenna] The first antenna is arranged on the inner wall of the housing. The first antenna is for detecting the IC tag for medical materials. The first antenna is for detecting the weak radio wave generated by the resonance reflection of the tag to the radio wave sent from the reader in combination with the reader, so that the reader can read it again. For this reason, the reader corresponding to the IC tag for medical materials and the first antenna are also arranged inside the housing.
[0029] The first antenna is preferably arranged around the container so as to be detectable from a plurality of different directions with respect to the container. The number of the first antennas can be two, three, four, five, etc. Since the radio wave of the IC tag for medical materials also has directivity, it may be difficult to detect depending on the orientation, position, distance, and angle. For this reason, it is preferable to provide a plurality of first antennas inside the housing. The housing can mainly be in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped or the like. In such a rectangular parallelepiped shape, the antennas can be arranged in an L-shape such as on the side surface and the back surface, or on the side surface and the bottom surface, or provided on three surfaces such as the side surface, the back surface, and the bottom surface. Note that even if too many antennas are provided, the detection accuracy will not be improved further, and the cost may increase, or the reading speed and reading accuracy may decrease. From these viewpoints, it is preferable that the number of the first antennas is three and they are provided on the side surface, the back surface, and the bottom surface.
[0030] [Rotating part] The rotating part rotates the container inside the housing. The rotation by the rotating part may be automatic or manually rotated. Even with a rotation of about half a turn to one turn, since the relative position with respect to the first antenna changes, the IC tag for medical materials can be detected efficiently. The rotating part inside the housing in FIGS. 1 and 2 can rotate the container by rotating a handle attached to the axis of the rotating part in a horizontal plane with the vertical direction as the axis. The rotation speed of the rotating part can be about 10 rpm to 120 rpm or about 20 to 60 rpm in terms of the number of revolutions. Since there are some RFID readers that can detect RFID at several tens to several hundreds per second by using those having a simultaneous response adjustment function, by rotating at such a number of revolutions and detecting for about several seconds, the IC tag for medical materials can be detected in various orientations and angles. Also, the number of rotations is preferably about half a turn to 100 turns, and may be about 2 to 20 turns.
[0031] As a specific process for detecting an IC tag for medical materials, the package is something that will be discarded after using the medical materials to be packaged. First, a housing process is performed in which the container, with a plurality of IC tags for medical materials collected therein, is housed in the housing. Next, a process of detecting the IC tags for medical materials collected in the container is performed while rotating the rotating part.
[0032] The housing can be configured to have a rotation sensor inside it that detects when the rotating part rotates. By using the rotation sensor, when detecting the IC tag for medical materials, it is possible to confirm that the rotating part was in a rotating state.
[0033] [Identification of IC Tag for Medical Materials] Product information is written and stored in the IC tag for medical materials by a writer corresponding to the used IC tag. As the product information to be stored, the information provided since the shipment of the medical materials may be used. Alternatively, for each hospital or department in the medical field where the detection device is used, etc., prepare individual master information at the usage site that correlates the "writing data of the IC tag for medical materials" and the "details of the medical materials", and based on the individual master information, the IC tag for medical materials can be identified.
[0034] The information of the IC tag for medical materials detected using the first antenna inside the housing is transmitted from the transmission part by a reader or the like used in the housing, and received by the receiving part for data processing connected to the control part, memory, and display part.
[0035] [Control Unit] The control unit performs control and the like for identifying the IC tag for medical materials detected using the first antenna. For this purpose, for example, the information of the IC tag for medical materials detected inside the housing is queried with the information of the master stored in the memory to identify the medical materials to which the IC tag for medical materials was attached.
[0036] [Memory] To recognize that the ID tag is a medical material to be managed, a master table for identifying the medical material is used for the product ID written in the EPC area of the IC tag and the information written in the user area. The memory can store information in this master table, information on the medical material IC tag detected during the use of a detection device, etc., and results identified by querying the master table and the medical material IC tag detected by the detection device, etc.
[0037] [Display unit] Information for operating the detection device and the detection results of the IC tag for medical materials can be displayed on a display unit such as a monitor. Further, the display unit may be able to display arbitrary information such as a warning when there is an abnormality in the detection result.
[0038] [Operation unit] The detection device has settings for performing detection and an operation unit for performing operations. The operation unit can be attached to the housing and can be a combination of buttons to be operated at the start or end of detection, etc., a keyboard, a mouse, a touch panel, etc., as appropriate.
[0039] These control units, memory, display unit, and operation unit can be realized by incorporating, for example, a personal computer, a smartphone, a tablet terminal, a server, a cloud, etc., alone or in combination, as a program or application software.
[0040] [User] The user is the one who uses the detection device. The detection device grasps for the user who has confirmed the disposal of the medical material, etc., grasps that appropriate processing is being carried out, and basic information for creating a medical fee statement based on the result. For this purpose, it is preferable that the detection device of the present invention can also grasp the user when identifying the IC tag for medical materials.
[0041] [User sensor] The user sensor is an antenna for detecting the user of the detection device. The user accommodates a container in the housing or operates the handle of the rotating part. Therefore, the user sensor is preferably attached to the housing. Further, the housing can be provided with an electromagnetic shield or the like to distinguish it from the detection of the IC tag in the internal container. Therefore, the user sensor is preferably attached to the outside of the housing, such as on the top surface or side surface of the housing.
[0042] [User identification information] Any method can be adopted to identify the information of the user for specifying the user by the user sensor. For example, biometric authentication such as face authentication, fingerprint, iris, etc., an IC tag worn by the user, an identification code input by the user, etc. can be used. Preferably, using the user IC tag which is an IC tag worn by the user, the user sensor is preferably an antenna combined with a corresponding RFID reader. Regarding the identification information of the user, it is preferably acquired multiple times when using the detection device or the like. The RFID technology adopted for the user IC tag preferably uses a close contact type, proximity type, near field type, etc. to identify the user near the detection device.
[0043] FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing another embodiment of the detection method of the present invention. This flow also utilizes user information.
[0044] Step S12 is a step of accommodating the IC tag. This accommodating step can be to accommodate the IC tag for medical materials collected in a plastic bag or the like as appropriate in the container inside the housing. Next, step S22 is a step of specifying user information. The user information acquires the identification information of the user with the user sensor attached to the detection device, and specifies the user based on the identification information.
[0045] Step S32 is a step of determining whether the user is appropriate. When the user cannot be identified or the user is not registered, etc., in the case of an inappropriate user, the detection of the IC tag for medical materials is aborted.
[0046] When it is appropriate for the user, in step S42, a step of detecting the medical material IC tag is performed. When performing this detection, the container can be rotated by the rotating unit, and the medical material IC tag can be detected at a plurality of timings.
[0047] Step S52 is a step of detecting the user information again. By detecting the user information a plurality of times together with the medical material IC tag, the user can obtain, as reliable information, the fact that the detection device was actually used.
[0048] Step S62 is a step of collating the detected medical material IC tag with the corresponding medical material. Thereby, the medical material IC tag accommodated in the container within the housing can be efficiently detected. Furthermore, the user information can also be acquired as highly reliable information. These pieces of information can be used as more reliable information for medical claims.
[0049] Here, an example in which steps S22 and S32 are performed prior to step S42 has been described. However, step S42 for detecting the IC tag may be performed first, and then steps S22 and 32 for specifying the user information and the like may be performed later after swapping. Also, when the user is not appropriate, the detection may not be stopped, and the results of the user information may simply be combined and stored.
[0050] Furthermore, it may also have a step of confirming, by the state confirmation unit, the state detected by the door closing sensor and / or the rotation sensor. When the door closing state or the rotation state when the medical material IC tag is detected by the state confirmation unit is not appropriate, the detection may be stopped or a warning may be displayed, considering the state to be inappropriate.
[0051] FIG. 5 is a table showing a schematic example of the detection of medical materials by the detection device of the present invention. By using a detection device, an IC tag detected with a predetermined detection number queries information in the EPC area and user area for identifying the IC tag against master information to identify a specific medical material. The detected IC tag can be acquired together with how it was detected within the detection device, such as the time and the orientation of the rotating part at the time of detection.
[0052] In addition, user information of the detection device when the detection was performed can also be acquired together. Also, information on medical materials can be used in comparison with information such as whether there was a planned use, such as in a surgery, set arbitrarily. For example, it can be used to check whether packages of medical materials not scheduled for use have not been collected, or whether there are medical materials that were supposed to be used but have not been collected. By appropriately warning about those that have not been processed properly, it can contribute to proper management of medical materials.
[0053] In this way, by matching the reading time of medical materials with the detection time of the user, it is possible to grasp whether it is a reading by the detection device or additional information added later without using the detection device. Also, if the aim is to improve information accuracy and security solutions, security can be improved by limiting registered users.
[0054] Also, by being able to distinguish whether the read data of medical materials and users is from the detection device or data manually added later from a PC or the like to the management software, it is possible to identify cases where the input information is incorrect and to grasp intentional corrections.
[0055] [Verification] The detection device can be configured to have a verification unit that verifies a first time when a first antenna detects an IC tag for medical materials and a second time when a user sensor detects a user. A process of verifying the consistency between the first time and the second time can be performed by this verification unit.
[0056] The detection device and the like of the present invention are detected at a plurality of times for rotation by the rotating part. Therefore, the identification information of the user is also acquired a plurality of times in accordance with these, and it becomes possible to surely grasp that the user has performed the work. That is, the time using the first antenna, the time using the user sensor, and the information such as the IC tag acquired using each antenna are acquired together, and these are appropriately recorded in the memory while collating whether the result is within an appropriate range.
[0057] The information detected by the detection device of the present invention can be used as information for use in the medical billing business of medical materials used in surgery or the like. It can also be used for the business of replenishing and ordering the used medical materials.
[0058] Furthermore, the detection device can have a communication function with devices such as a host server such as the master data of the entire hospital, adding information such as identification, input, and leading of materials that could not be read by other means.
[0059] [Test Example] Hereinafter, the outline of the test for obtaining the findings of the present invention will be described. The influence on reading was confirmed by rotating the container during the stationary state of the container or during reading.
[0060] As shown in FIG. 2, an attempt was made to detect an IC tag (medical material use IC tag) attached to the packaging of a medical material using a container attached to the rotating part and a housing in which an antenna was arranged around it. As the IC tag, a label tag was used for packaging other than the aluminum vapor deposition product. A flag label tag was used for the packaging of the aluminum vapor deposition product. The RFID reader was studied using a specific low-power wireless station (250 mW). The reader used an RFID reader / writer (UHF band). As the antenna, a combination of an RFID circularly polarized antenna and a rectangular antenna for a gate was used. The antenna was arranged at three locations on the side surface, the back surface, and the bottom surface of the container.
[0061] As medical materials, 89 items in 59 varieties (including 4 boxes in small boxes, 2 items with aluminum vapor deposition, and the rest packaged in plastic bags) were targeted. The target items of medical materials include syringes, needles, tubes, surgical gloves, tube connectors, stopcocks, skin staples, harmonic scalpels, catheters, gel pads, tissue staples for internal fixation, trocars, lap bases, lap shields, balloon trocars, air seals, air filters, catheter mounts, anesthesia masks, X-ray gauze, infusion sets, burette fusers, suction reservoirs, guidewires, stents, local anesthesia packs, general surgical kits, etc. For these target items, information identifying the medical materials such as the manufacturer and product name was recorded in an IC tag affixed in advance to the package that wraps these medical materials, and further, the evaluation was conducted with the master information of the corresponding medical materials stored in the memory.
[0062] Figure 6 shows images related to the IC tag for medical materials inside the container. Figure 6(a) shows an image of an example where an IC tag is attached to the package of medical materials. Figure 6(b) shows an image of a state where the IC tag for medical materials is collected in a large plastic bag. Figure 6(c) shows an image of a state where the plastic bag of Figure 6(b) is placed inside the container within the housing. After that, the lid of the housing was closed and the detection of the IC tag for medical materials was performed.
[0063] When the antenna was attached in three directions and reading was performed in a stationary state, 85 out of 89 were detected. After that, by manually rotating and reading, all 89 could be read.
