Modes for Carrying Out the Invention

[0010] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In all the drawings for explaining the embodiments, members having the same function are denoted by the same reference numerals, and repeated explanations thereof are omitted. In the following embodiments, unless particularly necessary, explanations of the same or similar parts are not repeated in principle.

[0011] Hereinafter, with reference to FIGS. 1 to 9, the simulated sword toy 1 in the present embodiment will be described.

[0012] As shown in FIG. 1, the simulated sword toy 1 includes a handle portion 2 that can be gripped by a user, a sheath portion 3 that imitates a sheath for a sword, and at least one or more blade portions 4.

[0013] The sheath portion 3 is detachable from the handle portion 2. Also, the blade portion 4 is detachable from the handle portion 2. FIG. 2 shows, in order from left to right, the state where the sheath portion 3 is attached to the handle portion 2, the state where the blade portion 4 is attached to the handle portion 2, and the state where neither the sheath portion 3 nor the blade portion 4 is attached to the handle portion 2. The appearance of the blade portion 4 is made as a weapon member constituting a part of a sword. When the blade portion 4 is attached to the handle portion 2, the user can recognize them as a sword (Japanese sword).

[0014] The handle portion 2 imitates the handle of a sword. The handle portion 2 includes a collar portion 2a, a grip portion 2b mainly for being gripped by the user, and a mounted portion 5 that is a protruding portion extending on the opposite side of the grip portion 2b across the collar portion 2a in the length direction (Z direction) of the grip portion 2b. In other words, the collar portion 2a is provided between the mounted portion 5 and the grip portion 2b. By providing the collar portion 2a on the handle portion 2, the user can recognize that the sheath portion 3 or the blade portion 4 may be attached to the mounted portion 5 at the tip of the collar portion 2a. It is preferable that the length of the mounted portion 5 in the Z direction is shorter than the length of the grip portion 2b in the Z direction. By doing so, even when the user swings the handle portion 2 while gripping it, the possibility of harm to the user's surroundings is reduced, and safety is improved.

[0015] Here, the longitudinal directions of the gripping part 2b and the mounted part 5 are defined as the Z direction, and the two directions along the plane of the flange part 2a are defined as the X direction and the Y direction. The X direction, Y direction, and Z direction are perpendicular to each other. The Y direction is the direction connecting the blade tip and the ridge of the Japanese sword.

[0016] The blade part 2 has a recess (not shown) for housing the mounted part 5, and at both ends of the blade part 2 in the Y direction, through holes are provided between the inside and outside of the recess. As shown in FIG. 2, when the blade part 4 is attached to the handle part 2, the pressed part 7 fits into the hole, and is exposed near the opening of the hole. By fitting the pressed part 7 into the hole in this way, the blade part 4 is fixed to the mounted part 5.

[0017] The handle part 2 has an operation part SW3 on the side surface in the Y direction, and a power supply part SW4 at the end (the head of the Japanese sword) on the opposite side of the mounted part 5 in the X direction.

[0018] The operation part SW3 is, for example, a switch, which can be operated by the user, and is provided on the outer periphery of the handle part 2, near the flange part 2a. That is, the operation part SW3 is provided at a position where the user can press it while gripping the handle part 2. The operation part SW3 is the part that the user operates to output an effect from the effect output part.

[0019] The power supply part SW4 is, for example, a switch, which can be operated by the user, is located on the opposite side of the pressed part 7, and is provided near the other end of the handle part 2. Each time the user presses the power supply part SW4, the power supply part SW4 is switched between the on state (SW4_ON) and the off state (SW4_OFF).

[0020] The effect output part is, for example, a speaker, which is provided inside the handle part 2 and is provided to output a plurality of effects. Here, the plurality of effects are, for example, sounds such as lines or sound effects.

[0021] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the handle portion 2 is provided with members such as a pressing switch (determination unit) SW1, a pressing switch (determination unit) SW2, an operation unit SW3, a power supply unit SW4, a pair of pressed portions 7, a control unit (not shown), and an effect output unit (not shown).

[0022] The pair of pressed portions 7 are provided so as to sandwich the mounted portion 7 in the Y direction. Further, the pressed portion 7 is movable so as to be housed inside the mounted portion 7 in the Y direction when pressed from the outside. The pressed portion 7 is biased in a direction to move outward of the mounted portion 7 in the Y direction by, for example, a spring provided inside the mounted portion 7. Therefore, when not pressed from the outside, the pressed portion 7 protrudes outward from the side surface of the mounted portion 5.

[0023] As shown in FIG. 3, the pressing switch SW1 is provided in the vicinity of the flange portion 2a in the mounted portion 5. The pressing switch SW1 is formed in the mounted portion 5 and is provided at an end portion in the groove 5c extending in the Z direction and at an end portion on the side of the gripping portion 2b. The pressing switch SW1 is biased in the Z direction to the side opposite to the gripping portion 2b side (the tip side of the mounted portion 5), and is pushed into the gripping portion 2b side when pressed in the Z direction.

[0024] The pressing switch SW2 is biased outward in the X direction, and moves so as to be pushed into the inside of the mounted portion 5 in the X direction when pressed from the outside.

[0025] In FIGS. 3 and 4, the side surfaces on both sides of the mounted portion 5 in the X direction are respectively shown. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, in the X direction (the width direction of the Japanese sword), ridge lines (ridge lines) at the boundary between the flat ground and the ridge ground of the Japanese sword extend in the Z direction on the side surfaces on both sides of the mounted portion 5. Thus, at least a part of the mounted portion 5 has a design imitating the blade portion of the sword. Therefore, the user can recognize the mounted portion 5 as a part of the blade, and it is possible to improve the user's sense of immersion when playing the role of a swordsman.

[0026] FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing the mouth side of the sheath portion 3. As shown in FIG. 5, the sheath portion 3 is provided with a recess 6 that can accommodate the mounted portion 5 when the mounted portion 5 is mounted on the sheath portion 3. Here, the entire mounted portion 5 is accommodated in the recess 6, and the state in which the handle portion 2 is mounted on the sheath portion 3 by this is called the first state. On one side surface of the recess 6 in the X direction, protrusions 8a and 8b that protrude toward the center (central axis of the sheath portion 3) of the recess 6 are provided. The protrusion 8a is located near the opening of the recess 6, and the protrusion 8b is located deeper in the recess 6 in the Z direction than the protrusion 8a. Further, the protrusions 8a and 8b are arranged at positions that do not overlap in the Z direction and are separated from each other.

[0027] Next, referring to the flowchart of FIG. 6, the operation of the simulated sword toy 1 when using the simulated sword toy 1 in the present embodiment will be described.

[0028] In the flowchart of FIG. 6, first, the simulated sword toy 1 is in a standby state (step S1). The standby state here is the first state described above, that is, the state in which the mounted portion 5 is completely accommodated in the sheath portion 3.

[0029] At this time, when the user operates the operation unit SW3 (step S2), the effect output unit outputs an effect 4 (step S11). When it is not in the first state, the operation on the operation unit SW3 is not detected. This is because the effect 4 output by the effect output unit in response to the user operating the operation unit SW3 is an effect corresponding to the state in which the mounted portion 5 is completely accommodated in the sheath portion 3, that is, an effect simulating the state in which the blade is completely accommodated in the sheath. In order to prevent the output of an effect that reduces the interest because the interest will decrease if the operation on the operation unit SW3 is detected and the corresponding effect is output in other states than the first state.

[0030] Next, the operation when removing the handle portion 2 from the sheath portion 3, that is, the operation for drawing the sword, will be described. The imitation sword toy 1 of the present embodiment has a structure in which the sword cannot be drawn with only one operation of pulling the handle portion 2 in one direction so that the sheath portion 3 or the handle portion 2 does not fly off from the user's hand due to the momentum when drawing the sword and cause harm to the user and the surroundings of the user. Specifically, when trying to extract the mounted portion 5 from the sheath portion 3, a part of the mounted portion 5 abuts within the recess 6 of the sheath portion 3, and the movement of the mounted portion 5 is restricted. In this way, moving the mounted portion 5 with respect to the sheath portion 3 from the first state in the Z direction (the length direction of the sheath portion) by a predetermined distance L (see FIG. 7) in the direction in which the mounted portion 5 is exposed from the sheath portion 3 (first movement) and exposing a part of the mounted portion 5 from the recess 6 is herein referred to as "cutting the sliding door". Also, the state where the sliding door is cut is referred to as the second state.

[0031] FIG. 7 shows the sheath portion 3 and the handle portion 2 in the first state on the left side and the sheath portion 3 and the handle portion 2 in the second state on the right side.

[0032] In the first state, as shown in FIG. 7, the protruding portion 8a described with reference to FIG. 5 is in a state of pressing the pressure switch SW1 (SW1_ON). In other words, the pressure switch SW1 detects that it is in the first state when pressed. Also, in the first state, as shown in FIG. 7, the protruding portion 8b described with reference to FIG. 5 is in a state of not pressing the pressure switch SW2 (SW2_OFF).

[0033] In the first state, the pressed portion 7 is pushed into and accommodated in the mounted portion 5 except for a part. Relatively shallow recesses 6a are provided on each of the both side surfaces in the Y direction within the recess 6 of the sheath portion 3, and the said part (tip) of the pressed portion 7 is accommodated within the recess 6a. On each of the both side surfaces in the Y direction within the recess 6, a relatively deep recess 6b is provided so as to be arranged on the sliding door side in the Z direction with respect to the recess 6a. The recess 6a is shallower than the recess 6b and has a smaller volume for accommodating the pressed portion 7.

[0034] Between the recess 6a and the recess 6b arranged in the Z direction, a protruding portion 6c protruding toward the center side of the recess 6 is provided. For this reason, when performing the first movement, it is necessary to apply a force such that the pressed portion 7 is further pushed into the mounted portion 5 by the pressing of the protruding portion 6c to pull out the mounted portion 5. That is, the recess 6a and the protruding portion 6c restrict the movement of the mounted portion 5 in the Z direction and in the direction in which the mounted portion 5 is exposed from the sheath portion 3.

[0035] The restriction of the movement can be released by applying a predetermined force in the Z direction to the handle portion 2 and in the direction in which the mounted portion 5 is exposed from the sheath portion 3. When the mounted portion 5 is first moved with respect to the sheath portion 3, the pressed portion 7 is removed from the recess 6a, and then the sheath portion 3 and the mounted portion 5 enter the second state. That is, after the first movement, the pressed portion 7 is accommodated in the recess 6b, and the movement of the mounted portion 5 in the Z direction and in the direction in which the mounted portion 5 is further exposed from the sheath portion 3 is restricted by the fitting between the recess 6b and the pressed portion 7. In the process from the first state to the second state, the protruding portion 8a releases the pressing of the push switch SW1. As a result, the push switch SW1 becomes the off state (SW1_OFF). In other words, based on the fact that the pressing of the push switch SW1 has been released, the control unit detects that the first movement has been made. Also, in the process from the first state to the second state, the protruding portion 8b presses the push switch SW2. As a result, the push switch SW2 becomes the on state (SW2_ON). That is, the mounted portion 5 has a push switch SW2 that detects that the first movement has been made by being pressed, and in response to the first movement being made, the protruding portion 8b, which is a part of the sheath portion 3, presses the push switch SW2.

[0036] As described above, the user cuts the mouth (step S3) by moving the mounted part 5 relative to the sheath part 3 for the first time. When the mouth is cut, the push switch SW1 becomes the off state (SW1_OFF), and the push switch SW2 becomes the on state (SW2_ON). The control part in the handle part 2 detects this, and the effect output part outputs effect 1 (step S4). As described above, since at least a part of the mounted part 5 has a design imitating the blade part of a sword, the user can expose a part of the blade part by cutting the mouth and obtain a sense of immersion as if performing as a swordsman. The output content of effect 1 may be changed depending on whether or not the operation part SW3 is operated in step S2, and by doing so, the interest of the simulated sword toy 1 is further improved.

[0037] Since the pressed part 7 has an inclined surface on the side opposite to the collar part 2a, it is possible to push the mounted part 5 into the recess 6 from the second state and return to the first state, that is, to store the sword (step S5). When the sword is stored, the effect output part outputs effect 5 (step S12).

[0038] In order to draw the sword from the second state, first, at least a part of the mounted part 5 needs to be displaced in a second direction different from the Z direction, which is the direction in which the first movement was performed, relative to the sheath part 3. This displacement can be, for example, the axial rotation of the handle part 2 relative to the sheath part 3. Fig. 8 shows the sheath part 3 and the handle part 2 in the second state where the mouth is cut, the third state where the handle part 2 is axially rotated, and the fourth state where the handle part 2 is pulled out from the sheath part 3, in order from left to right. As shown in Fig. 8, the axial rotation of the handle part 2 is performed around the central axis of the sheath part 3 and the handle part 2, which is the axis extending in the length direction (Z direction) of the sheath part 3 and the handle part 2. The rotation angle is, for example, 20 degrees, and rotations more than that are restricted. That is, for example, even if an attempt is made to rotate more than 20 degrees, the rotation is restricted because the surface of the mounted part 5 abuts against the side surface in the recess 6. In addition, in the third state, since the protruding part 8b is pressing the push switch SW2, the push switch SW2 is in the on state (SW2_OFF).

[0039] FIG. 9 shows a perspective view of the sheath 3 cut along the Y-direction and Z-direction. The side of the recess 6 shown in FIG. 9 is the opposite side of the side of the recess 6 shown in FIG. 5. As shown in FIG. 9, the side of the recess 6 has a plurality of protruding parts (ribs) that protrude toward the central axis of the sheath 3 and extend in the circumferential direction of the recess 6. Among these protruding parts, the pressing part 6d, which is a protruding part connected to the recess 6b, gradually increases in height in the direction in which the pressed part 7 rotates when the handle 2 is rotated from the second state. Therefore, when the handle 2 is rotated (displaced) along the axis and transitions from the second state to the third state, the pressed part 7 is pressed by the pressing part 6d in response to this axial rotation and is accommodated in the attached part 5. Therefore, the engagement of the pressed part 7 in the sheath 3 (the engagement between the pressed part 7 and the recess 6b) is released, and the handle 2 in the third state can be removed from the sheath 3 without being restricted in its movement. That is, the sword is drawn (step S6) by moving (second movement) the attached part 5 from the third state in the Z direction in a direction in which the attached part 5 is further exposed from the sheath 3. In other words, the attached part 5 can be removed from the sheath 3 on the condition that the second movement has been performed, in which the handle part 2 is further moved in the Z direction relative to the sheath 3 from the third state in a direction in which the attached part 5 is further exposed from the sheath 3.

[0040] When the sword is drawn to change from the third state to the fourth state, the pressure on the push switch SW2 by the protrusion 8b is released, and the push switch SW2 turns to the off state (SW2_OFF). The control unit detects the off state (SW1_OFF) of the push switch SW1 and the off state (SW2_OFF) of the push switch SW2, and the performance output unit outputs performance 2 (step S4). That is, the control unit detects that the second movement has been made based on the fact that the push switch SW2 has been pressed and then released. The output content of performance 2 may be changed depending on whether or not the operation unit SW3 has been operated in step S2, and by doing so, the interest of the imitation sword toy 1 is further increased.

[0041] In the third state where the mounted part 5 is rotationally driven about an axis within the recess 6 without drawing the sword, when the user releases their hand from the handle part 2, the handle part 2 rotationally drives about an axis in the direction opposite to the said rotational drive about an axis and returns to the second state. This is because the pressing part 6d is pushed by the force biasing the pressed part 7, and the pressed part 7 moves in the direction of returning into the recess 6b. Thereby, even if the user releases their hand from the handle part 2 or the scabbard part 3 in the third state (while gripping only one of the handle part 2 or the scabbard part 3 in the third state) and swings the toy sword, etc., it is possible to prevent the handle part 2 from coming out of the scabbard part 3.

[0042] Next, from the fourth state where the sword has been drawn, an operation of mounting (accommodating) the mounted part 5 within the recess 6 of the scabbard part 3, that is, an operation of storing the sword (sword-sheathing operation) is performed (step S8). At this time, the inclination of the handle part 2 with respect to the scabbard part 3 in the said rotational drive direction about an axis may be an inclination where the handle part 2 is not rotated with respect to the scabbard part 3 as in the first state, or may be an inclination where the handle part 2 is rotated with respect to the scabbard part 3 as in the second state. In other words, the recess 6 has a shape such that the mounted part 5 of the handle part 2 not mounted on the scabbard part 3 can be inserted into the recess 6 in either the direction of the handle part 2 before rotation or the direction of the handle part 2 after rotation.

[0043] That is, the protruding parts 8a, 8b pass through the groove 5c shown in FIG. 3 during the sword-sheathing operation of step S8. Here, the width of the groove 5c gradually decreases from the tip side of the mounted part 5 toward the gripping part 2b side in the Z direction. Since the opening width of the groove 5c at the tip side of the mounted part 5 is large, the protruding parts 8a, 8b enter the groove 5c whether the mounted part 5 is in the direction before rotational drive about an axis or the direction after rotational drive about an axis. At the location where the width of the groove 5c decreases toward the gripping part 2b side, slopes 5a, 5b are respectively provided on the surface of the groove 5c. When the mounted part 5 is in the direction after rotational drive about an axis during the sword-sheathing operation, the protruding part 8a hits the slope 5a and has its trajectory corrected, and the protruding part 8b hits the slope 5b and has its trajectory corrected, so that the mounted part 5 can be completely accommodated within the recess 6.

[0044] In the sheathing operation of step S8, the pressure switch SW2 changes from the off state (SW2_OFF) to the on state (SW2_ON) once and then returns to the off state (SW2_OFF) again. Also, when the worn part 5 is completely housed in the recess 6, the pressure switch SW1 turns on (SW1_ON). As a result, the control unit detects the sheathing, and the effect output unit outputs effect 3 (step S9).

[0045] As described above, the toy sword 1 returns to the standby state, that is, the first state (step 10).

[0046] In this embodiment, by using a toy sword having a handle part and a scabbard part, the user can enjoy the action of drawing the sword, thereby improving the interestingness of the toy sword.

[0047] When performing the action of drawing the sword as a play action using such a toy sword, it is conceivable that the handle part or the scabbard part may be accidentally flung during the sword-drawing process. However, the toy sword of this embodiment has a structure that does not allow the sword to be drawn with only one action of pulling the handle part in one direction, thus ensuring safety for the user and those around the user.

[0048] As described above, the invention of the present application has been specifically described based on the embodiments. However, the invention of the present application is not limited to the above embodiments and can be variously modified without departing from the gist thereof.

[0049] For example, in the above embodiment, the case where the toy sword 1 shows the form of a sword (Japanese sword) is exemplified. However, it is also possible to use other weapon members for the appearance of the scabbard part 3, the blade part 4, and the handle part 2. That is, the toy sword 1 may have other weapon forms such as a straight sword, a curved sword, or a multi-edged sword, for example.

[0050] Also, in the above embodiment, the plurality of effects included sounds such as lines and sound effects. However, the plurality of effects may further include other sounds.

[0051] In addition, in the above-described embodiment, sound has been exemplified as the plurality of effects, but the plurality of effects may include light, vibration, or the like. For example, a light-emitting device or a vibrating device may be provided in the sheath portion 3, the blade portion 4, or the handle portion 2, and these devices may be controlled by the control unit.
