BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

[0008] FIG. 1 is a conceptual diagram showing the correspondence between, for example, a cylinder lock attached to a door and a box lock provided inside the door end of this door in one embodiment of the present disclosure. In FIG. 1, a cylinder lock 1 is shown on the left side, and a box lock 2 to which the cylinder lock 1 is applied is shown on the right side. In FIG. 1, the cylinder lock 1 has a key insertion portion 5 on the front end side 4 of the cylinder lock main body portion 3. A key that fits the cylinder lock 1 is inserted from this key insertion portion 5. Further, an annular cylinder cover 6 is provided around the front end side 4 of the cylinder lock main body portion 3.

[0009] On the other hand, regarding the box lock 2, the left side surface of the lock box 7 is depicted. A front back plate 8 is provided on the front side (left side in FIG. 1) of the lock box 7, and a front plate 9 is provided so as to overlap the front back plate 8. A guide hole 10 for guiding a guide pin of a dead bolt (not shown) in the advancing and retreating direction (left - right direction in FIG. 1) is provided at the rear of the lower part of the left side surface of the lock box 7.

[0010] Above the guide hole 10 on the left side of the ingot box 7, there is provided a drive member 12 for a deadbolt, which is also commonly referred to as a "Daruma", in which a fitting hole 11 into which a plate-shaped tail piece, which is a displacement transmission member described later of the cylinder ingot main body 3, is fitted is formed. The drive member 12 is mainly composed of a plate-shaped member having a shape according to its specifications, such as a deformed sector. In the case of Fig. 1, only the head of the columnar portion slightly protruding from the hole formed in the ingot box 7 of the drive member 12 is visible. The drive member 12 is rotationally displaced by the rotation of the tail piece fitted in the fitting hole 11, and by this rotational displacement, the deadbolt moves in the forward and backward directions through a predetermined displacement transmission mechanism. When the deadbolt is in the extended position, the box lock 2 is in the locked state, and when the deadbolt is in the retracted position, the box lock 2 is in the unlocked state. Generally, a cylinder lock of a specification having a one-to-one correspondence with a box lock of a single specification provided, for example, inside the door tip of a door is applied. On the other hand, the cylinder lock 1 of the present disclosure (specifically, the cylinder ingot main body 3) can be used in combination with box locks of a plurality of predetermined specifications by selectively applying an appropriate tail piece.

[0011] Figures 2 to 13 show a state where tail pieces as displacement transmission members 13 corresponding to a plurality of predetermined specifications of key locks are selectively attached to the cylinder ingot main body 3 of the cylinder ingot 1 of the present disclosure, and cylinder covers 6 of a plurality of predetermined specifications are also selectively applied. A displacement transmission member attachment portion 310 for selectively attaching a tail piece is provided at the key rear end portion 16 of the cylinder ingot main body 3. Further, a cylinder cover attachment portion 320 for selectively attaching the cylinder cover 6 is provided on the key insertion portion 5 side of the cylinder ingot main body 3. In Figures 2 to 13, for the tail piece 13, four types from type a to type d, that is, 13a to 13d, are shown by provisional names, and for the cylinder cover 6, three types from type a to type c, that is, 6a to 6c, are shown by provisional names, when applying them to the same cylinder ingot main body 3. Here, each tail piece 13 has a plate-shaped drive piece 14 and a connecting piece 15 integral therewith. The tail piece 13 has its connecting piece 15 attached to the key rear end portion 16 on the rear end side of the cylinder ingot main body. A displacement transmission member attachment portion 310 such as a surface portion or a slit for attaching the connecting piece 15 of the tail piece 13 is formed at the key rear end portion 16.

[0012] In the example of Figure 2, a type a tail piece 13a and a type a cylinder cover 6a are applied to the cylinder ingot main body 3. The tail piece 13a is attached to the key rear end portion 16 provided on the rear end side opposite to the key insertion portion 5 provided on the front end side 4 of the cylinder ingot main body 3. Specifically, the connecting piece 15a of the tail piece 13a is detachably connected to the key rear end portion 16. Thus, when the cylinder ingot 1 is unlocked by the key and the cylinder ingot main body 3 (an inner cylinder described later) is rotated, the rotational displacement is transmitted through the drive piece 14a of the tail piece 13a to the drive member 12 of the corresponding key lock 2. The type a tail piece 13a has a standard width and axial length of its drive piece 14a. Therefore, it is suitable for the most standard key lock.

[0013] In the example of Fig. 3, instead of the a-type tail piece 13a in the example of Fig. 2, a b-type tail piece 13b is applied to the cylinder lock body 3. On the other hand, the same cylinder cover 6a as in Fig. 2 is applied to the cylinder cover. Although it operates in the same manner as the example of Fig. 2 in the example of Fig. 3, the b-type tail piece 13b has a narrower width of the driving piece 14a and a longer axial length than the a-type tail piece 13a. Therefore, it is suitable for a type of box lock provided at the door tip of a door with a large thickness dimension and having a relatively small operating torque.

[0014] In the example of Fig. 4, instead of the a-type tail piece 13a in the example of Fig. 2, a c-type tail piece 13c is applied to the cylinder lock body 3. On the other hand, the same cylinder cover 6a as in Fig. 2 is applied to the cylinder cover. Although it operates in the same manner as the example of Fig. 2 in the example of Fig. 4, the c-type tail piece 13c has a wider width of the driving piece 14c and a shorter axial length than the a-type tail piece 13a. Therefore, it is suitable for a type of box lock provided at the door tip of a door with a small thickness dimension and having a relatively large operating torque.

[0015] In the example of Fig. 5, instead of the a-type tail piece 13a in the example of Fig. 2, a d-type tail piece 13d is applied to the cylinder lock body 3. On the other hand, the same cylinder cover 6a as in Fig. 2 is applied to the cylinder cover. Although it operates in the same manner as the example of Fig. 2 in the example of Fig. 5, the d-type tail piece 13d has a wider width of the driving piece 14d and a shorter axial length than the a-type tail piece 13a. However, the axial length of the driving piece 14d is longer than that in the example of Fig. 4. Therefore, it is suitable for a type of box lock provided at the door tip of a door that is relatively small in thickness dimension but thicker than the example applicable to Fig. 4 and having a relatively large operating torque.

[0016] As described above, in the four examples from FIG. 2 to FIG. 5, while selectively applying one of the four types (13a to 13d) of the tail piece 13 from type a to type d, the same cylinder cover 6a was applied to the cylinder cover. Therefore, the examples from FIG. 2 to FIG. 5 are well-suited when, with respect to the door thickness dimension and the operating torque of the mortise lock, corresponding conditions are met respectively, and from the perspective of design such as the appearance of the door and harmony with the surroundings including the door, the type a cylinder cover 6a is suitable.

[0017] Next, in the four examples from FIG. 6 to FIG. 9, while selectively applying one of the four types (13a to 13d) of the tail piece 13 from type a to type d in the same manner as in the examples from FIG. 2 to FIG. 5, the same cylinder cover 6b was applied to the cylinder cover. Therefore, the examples from FIG. 6 to FIG. 9 are well-suited when, with respect to the door thickness dimension and the operating torque of the mortise lock, in the same manner as in the examples from FIG. 2 to FIG. 5, corresponding conditions are met respectively, and from the perspective of design such as the appearance of the door and harmony with the surroundings including the door, the type b cylinder cover 6b is suitable.

[0018] In the four examples from FIG. 10 to FIG. 13, while selectively applying one of the four types (13a to 13d) of the tail piece 13 from type a to type d in the same manner as in the examples from FIG. 2 to FIG. 5, the same cylinder cover 6c was applied to the cylinder cover. Therefore, the examples from FIG. 10 to FIG. 12 are well-suited when, with respect to the door thickness dimension and the operating torque of the mortise lock, in the same manner as in the examples from FIG. 2 to FIG. 5, corresponding conditions are met respectively, and from the perspective of design such as the appearance of the door and harmony with the surroundings including the door, the type c cylinder cover 6c is suitable.

[0019] Figure 14 is a side perspective view of a box lock corresponding to the cylinder lock 1 of the present disclosure. In Figure 14, corresponding parts to those in Figure 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals. A front back plate 8 is integrally provided on the front side (the side where the dead bolt protrudes) of the lock box 7 of the box lock 2. A dead bolt advance / retreat hole 17 is formed at the lower part of the front back plate 8. A guide pin of a dead bolt (not shown) is guided by the guide hole 10 and the dead bolt advances and retreats. In the example of Figure 14, the driving member for the dead bolt, which is also commonly referred to as "Daruma", is entirely arranged inside the lock box 7.

[0020] From the perspective of Figure 14, the driving member arranged inside the lock box 7 is not visible, but for the convenience of explanation, reference numeral 12a is assigned to this driving member, and hereinafter it will be referred to as the driving member 12a. An insertion hole 18 is formed at the upper rear part of the side surface of the lock box 7. The insertion hole 18 is a hole for inserting the driving piece 14 of the tail piece 13 attached to the cylinder lock main body part 3 into the lock box 7. The driving piece 14 inserted into the lock box 7 through the insertion hole 18 fits into a fitting hole formed in the driving member 12a. Thereby, the rotation of the tail piece 13 is transmitted to the driving member 12a, and the dead bolt moves in the advance / retreat direction via a predetermined displacement transmission mechanism. When the dead bolt advances, the box lock 2 is in the locked state, and when the dead bolt retreats, the box lock 2 is in the unlocked state.

[0021] In the example of Figure 14, in a front view, the insertion hole 18 has a shape in which two sectors with a central angle of approximately 90 degrees are connected with a common center, and one radius of one sector and the other radius of the other sector are arranged linearly. Thereby, when the plate-shaped driving piece 14 of the tail piece 13 is inserted along the corresponding two radii of the two linearly arranged sectors of the insertion hole 18, a rotation of approximately 90 degrees of the driving piece 14 is allowed. Note that two bolt holes 19a, 19b are provided at positions symmetrical to the center of the two sectors in the left-right direction in a front view of the insertion hole 18. Also, two engaging holes 20a, 20b are formed in the left-right alignment in a front view at a position above the bolt hole 19a, and similarly, two engaging holes 20c, 20d are formed in the left-right alignment in a front view at a position below the bolt hole 19a.

[0022] FIG. 15 is a perspective view of the cylinder tablet 1 in an example of the present disclosure as seen from the back side. A locking plate 22 provided with engaging claws 21a, 21b, 21c, 21d that engage with the engaging holes 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d in FIG. 14 described above in this order is disposed at the rear end side of the cylinder tablet main body 3. Bolt insertion holes 23a, 23b corresponding to the bolt holes 19a, 19b of the tablet case 7 in FIG. 14 are formed in the locking plate 22 in this order. An insertion hole 24 for inserting the driving piece 14 of the tail piece 13 is formed at the center of the locking plate 22. In FIG. 15, the cylinder tablet main body 3 is coaxially accommodated in a cylindrical member 25 for attaching it and is not directly visible.

[0023] FIG. 16 is an exploded view of the cylinder tablet 1 in an example of the present disclosure. FIG. 16 is viewed from a viewing angle looking down on the cylinder tablet 1 from above. The corresponding parts in FIG. 16 and FIG. 15 described above are given the same reference numerals. The arrow line A indicates the insertion direction of the key (mating key). The tail piece 13 is connected to the key rear end portion 16 of the cylinder tablet main body 3 by a plate-shaped connection portion 26 which is a form of the connection piece 15 in the tail piece 13 in FIGS. 2 to 13. This connection can take a form in which, for example, the plate-shaped connection portion 26 firmly fits into a slit portion provided at the key rear end portion 16.

[0024] The cylinder tablet of the present disclosure can be adapted to the target box tablet 2 by selectively using a tail piece, which is a displacement transmission member, from among those corresponding to each of the box tablets of a plurality of predetermined specifications and selecting a suitable one. On the other hand, the cylinder tablet itself can also take various specification forms. Next, various examples of the main body portion of the cylinder tablet of the present disclosure will be described.

[0025] FIGS. 17 to 20 are views showing various examples of the cylinder tablet main body portion of the present disclosure. In FIGS. 17 to 20, the same integers are associated as reference numerals indicating the same kind of parts, and alphabetic characters for distinguishing each example are attached to the ends of those integers. For convenience of explanation, the common matters in FIGS. 17 to 20 will be described by the integer part of the reference numerals.

[0026] In FIGS. 17 to 20, the cylinder lock body 3 has a fixed outer cylinder 27 and an inner cylinder 28 that is coaxially arranged inside the outer cylinder 27 and allows relative rotation with the outer cylinder 27 during unlocking. A keyhole 29 that continues to the key insertion portion 5 is formed along the central axis of the inner cylinder 28. On the outer cylinder 27 and the inner cylinder 28, an outer cylinder pin hole 30 is formed on the outer cylinder 27 side and an inner cylinder pin hole 31 is formed on the inner cylinder 28 side, both of which extend radially from a common virtual central axis. The outer cylinder pin hole 30 and the inner cylinder pin hole 31 have substantially the same diameter and form a through hole 32 that is coaxially continuous when in the locked state. A biasing spring 33 is disposed on the outer peripheral side of the outer cylinder pin hole 30 with respect to the outer cylinder 27. Also, a counter pin 34 is slidably inserted into the outer cylinder pin hole 30 on the inner peripheral side of the outer cylinder pin hole 30 with respect to the outer cylinder 27. A tumbler 35 is slidably inserted into the inner cylinder pin hole 31. A key (master key) 36 is passed through the keyhole 29. The key 36 of the present disclosure is common to the cylinder lock body 3 (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) in all aspects in FIGS. 17 to 20. In other words, the keyhole 29 is formed to fit the common key 36. The key 36 has a configuration in which a blade 38 of a predetermined shape extends from the tip of the grip portion 37. Key codes (not shown) are formed on the blade 38 by graduations and depressions of different sizes.

[0027] The cylinder lock body 3 (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) in FIGS. 17 to 20 has a different number of tumblers 35 (35a, 35b, 35c, 35d). That is, according to the number of tumblers 35 (35a, 35b, 35c, 35d), the number of outer cylinder pin holes 30 (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d), inner cylinder pin holes 31 (31a, 31b, 31c, 31d), and counter pins 34 (34a, 34b, 34c, 34d) is different. Accordingly, the cylinder lock body 3 (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) in FIGS. 17 to 20 has different axial dimensions. Therefore, it is possible to selectively apply the cylinder lock body 3 (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) as shown in FIGS. 17 to 20 to configure a box lock that fits various doors with different thickness dimensions.

[0028] Specifically, in the cylinder lock body 3a of FIG. 17, there are six tumblers 35a (outer cylinder pin holes 30a, inner cylinder pin holes 31a) in the axial direction. The cylinder lock body 3a as shown in FIG. 17 is suitable for use in places where security conditions, such as those for an entrance door, are relatively strict.

[0029] In the cylinder lock body 3b of FIG. 18, there are five tumblers 35b (outer cylinder pin holes 30b, inner cylinder pin holes 31b) in the axial direction. The cylinder lock body 3b as shown in FIG. 18 is suitable for use in places where security conditions, such as those for a sliding door or a terrace door, are less strict than the places where the cylinder lock body of FIG. 17 is applicable.

[0030] In the cylinder lock body 3c of FIG. 19, there are three tumblers 35b (outer cylinder pin holes 30c, inner cylinder pin holes 31c) in the axial direction. The cylinder lock body 3c as shown in FIG. 19 is suitable for use in places where security conditions, such as those for a door leaf or an interior door, are less strict than the places where the cylinder lock body of FIG. 18 is applicable.

[0031] In the cylinder lock body 3d of FIG. 20, there are three tumblers 35b (outer cylinder pin holes 30d, inner cylinder pin holes 31d) in the axial direction. The cylinder lock body 3d as shown in FIG. 20 is suitable for use in places where security conditions, such as those for a crescent of a small window or a delivery box, are not relatively strict.

[0032] As described above, the key 36 of the present disclosure is common to all aspects of the cylinder lock bodies 3 (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) in FIGS. 17 to 20. This is because the tumblers 35a, 35b, 35c, 35d in the cylinder lock bodies 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d of each aspect from FIGS. 17 to 20 are arranged so as to correspond to the same key code for the section where the tumblers 35a, 35b, 35c, 35d exist, from the back side (the tip side of the key 36) of the keyhole 29 (29a, 29b, 29c, 29d) towards the key insertion part 5 side (the grip part 37 side of the key 36).

[0033] As shown in Fig. 17, for the cylinder lock body 3a of the type in which six tumblers 35a are arranged axially, all the key codes in the longitudinal direction of the key 36 function effectively to perform the locking and unlocking operations. Also, as shown in Fig. 18, for the cylinder lock body 3b of the type in which five tumblers 35b are arranged axially, the section corresponding to five of the tumblers 35b on the tip side among all the key codes in the longitudinal direction of the key 36 functions effectively to perform the locking and unlocking operations. Similarly, for the cylinder lock body 3c in Fig. 19, the section corresponding to four of the tumblers 35c on the tip side among all the key codes in the longitudinal direction of the key 36 functions effectively, and for the cylinder lock body 3d in Fig. 20, the section corresponding to three of the tumblers 35d on the tip side among all the key codes in the longitudinal direction of the key 36 functions effectively to perform the rotational operation of locking and unlocking. This rotational operation is permitted only when all the tumblers corresponding to the key codes formed on the blade 38 of the key 36 are aligned, and all the contact parts between the tumbler 35 and the counter pin 34 are aligned with the share line, which is a virtual plane corresponding to the boundary between the outer cylinder 27 and the inner cylinder 28.

[0034] It is conceivable to handle a plurality of cylinder lock bodies (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) in Figs. 17 to 20 as a set. That is, a cylinder lock set (Figs. 17 - 20) including a plurality of cylinder lock bodies (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d), wherein all of the plurality of cylinder locks have the same internal structure on the other end side 16 while having different axial lengths of the cylinder lock body 3, and the cylinder lock set includes a single type of key 36 that can correspond to any of the plurality of cylinder locks having different axial lengths of the cylinder lock body 3.

[0035] Figures 21 to 23 are longitudinal sectional views showing an example of a cylinder lock body using a common platform. Figure 21 is the same as the cylinder lock body of Figure 17 and is drawn in a slightly more detailed manner than in Figure 17. In Figures 21 to 23, the corresponding parts to those in Figure 17 are labeled with the same reference numerals. In Figures 21 to 23, the common platform consists of an outer cylinder 27a and an inner cylinder 28a. The outer cylinder 27a has six outer cylinder pin holes 30a at a predetermined interval in the axial direction. The inner cylinder 28a has six inner cylinder pin holes 31a corresponding to each of the outer cylinder pin holes 30a.

[0036] In the cylinder lock body of Figure 21, biasing springs 33a, counter pins 34a, and tumblers 35a are arranged in all six outer cylinder pin holes 30a and inner cylinder pin holes 31a of the outer cylinder 27a and the inner cylinder 28a, which are the common platform, to form a high-class key with an extremely large number of key differences.

[0037] In the cylinder lock body of Figure 22, biasing springs 33a, counter pins 34a, and tumblers 35a are not arranged in those holes of the six outer cylinder pin holes 30a and inner cylinder pin holes 31a of the outer cylinder 27a and the inner cylinder 28a, which are the common platform, and are close to the key insertion part 5, and are made into outer cylinder first blank holes 301 and inner cylinder first blank holes 311. Therefore, the cylinder lock body of Figure 22 forms an intermediate-class key with a smaller number of key differences and fewer parts than that of Figure 21. The cylinder lock body of Figure 22 is so to speak a popular product.

[0038] In the cylinder lock body of Figure 23, in addition to the outer cylinder first blank holes 301 and inner cylinder first blank holes 311 in the cylinder lock body of Figure 22, outer cylinder second blank holes 302 and inner cylinder second blank holes 312 are set so as to be adjacent to these in the axial direction. Therefore, the cylinder lock body of Figure 23 forms a key with an even smaller number of key differences, even fewer parts, and a lower price. The cylinder lock body of Figure 23 is so to speak a cheap version.

[0039] Regarding the above-described embodiment of the present disclosure, the operation and effects are summarized as follows. (1) One embodiment of the present disclosure is a cylinder lock 1 that can be locked and unlocked through a displacement transmission member 13, including a cylinder lock main body 3, a key insertion portion 5 provided at one end side of the cylinder lock main body 3 into which a key is inserted, a plurality of types of displacement transmission members 13 (13a, 13b, 13c, 13d) corresponding to each of a plurality of specifications of box locks, and a displacement transmission member attachment portion 310 provided at the other end side of the cylinder lock main body 3 to which the displacement transmission member 13 can be attached. The displacement transmission member attachment portion 310 can detachably attach each of the plurality of types of displacement transmission members 13. The cylinder lock main body 3 has a keyhole 29 connected to the key insertion portion 5. The keyhole 29 is formed so as to be compatible with any of a plurality of cylinder locks 1 having different axial lengths of the cylinder lock main body 3. Any of the plurality of cylinder locks 1 having different axial lengths of the cylinder lock main body 3 can be locked and unlocked with one common key. It is a cylinder lock.

[0040] In the above embodiment (1), by selectively attaching any one of the displacement transmission members 13 among the displacement transmission members 13 (13a, 13b, 13c, 13d) corresponding to each of the box locks 2 of a predetermined plurality of specifications to the key rear end portion 16, the same cylinder lock main body 3 can be applied to any of the box locks 2 of a predetermined plurality of specifications. Therefore, regardless of whether the door with the box lock is a newly built building or a renovated building, a common cylinder lock main body can be applied to various box locks. Also, as maintenance parts, it is only necessary to prepare a common cylinder lock main body 3 and a plurality of types of displacement transmission members 13.
